Nice casual place. Parking lot is decent sized but there is also free street parking. I had a steak wrap without the monzzarella & onion rings (on the side). The creme sauce had a little kick to it but it was just enough to give it an edge. Well wrapped burrito style with lettuce that surrounded pockets of well done flavorful steak bites intermixed with tomato and creme sauce. Tried a local Indy beer Sun King Sunlight Creme and a bottled 3 Floyd Zombie Dust, a brewery out of Muncir. If you want a smooth beer with subtle flavors these are good choices. Mainly a guy bar but not discriminated against (did not experience same in gay New Orleans bars). Comfortable atmosphere. Great spot for a late lunch! Would recommend if you are in the area.

From the moment I entered, I knew it wouldn’t be good. I’m a trans/non binary and was working in Indy for a week so I was excited to find a queer place. As I entered I walked to the wait to be seated sign. I stood there as countless employees passed me by without saying anything. Finally after about 5 minutes a man came up, didn’t say anything to me, and proceeded to change the sign to «seat yourself» so I sat. And waited, a man came up to me gave me my menu and said my server would be with me. A minute later same man came up to me and said «well I guess I have to be your waiter» With distain on his face. I gave him my order for a very well done cheeseburger with bacon. He seem pissed and angry, soon after I got my drink a bloody Mary, which was good a few minutes after that I got my burger, which was completely raw, Now I had asked for a completely well done so I was shocked. I ate some of the fries and then he came back about five minutes later and I showed him. «Sigh» I asked for well done . Finally I received service and he apologized, I told him not to make a new one, I didn’t want this one, I’ll pay for my drinks. He brought out my check and removed the sandwich. Good for him. And asked if I was sure I didn’t want anything else? I was happy to hear this. But the damage was done. As a trans/non binary person I look for places where I feel safe and able to be myself… THIS IS NOT THE PLACE for that. And that sucks. We should be supporting each other instead of Making «others» feel unseen and unappreciated. (Which I felt) I’m very disappointed in my rainbow family for making me feel like I’m not wanted. I just wanted a pace where I could be myself. That rainbow flag you post should be inclusive of of all of us. LGBTQIA? Do you know what this means?

This is a fantastic neighborhood bar that you should definitely check out. The employees are very fun and welcoming, and the drinks will not disappoint. The biggest draw is the quality and variety of the food menu. Their daily specials are great if you’re looking for quality food/drinks without breaking the bank. If you go for their prime rib special make sure you get there early otherwise you’ll have to eat standing, because the place is packed. I love this bar so much.

Went to English Ivy’s, and unfortunately, it was a pretty disappointing experience. The atmosphere is downright depressing and doesn’t invite you to stay. Service was super slow, with staff nowhere to be found for long stretches. The prices are much higher than you’d expect, and honestly, there’s no real justification for it. We ordered the «Boom Boom Shrimp,» which turned out to be a plate of sauce with just five tiny shrimp on it—nothing «boom» about it except maybe the price! We paid $12 for only five shrimps, which felt like a joke. Save your money and find somewhere else, you’re not missing anything at English Ivy’s.

Lovely little bar. The wife and I stopped in and had a drink on our way back to a Bed & Breakfast. Great service, good prices, friendly staff. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area.

We have never dined here before but were looking for a Thanksgiving option that wasnt outrageously priced, all fancy food and something besides turkey. English Ivys seemed to fit the bill. Hubby especially was a little nervous going in because he was afraid we might not be welcomed, but other than a small mix up with our reservation where they had us down as a party of 12 rather than 2, everything was great. The food was plentiful and so good. I enjoyed my glass of Moscato and hubby Long Island made him yelp a bit on first drink. It is hard to make a 50 year old musician react to a drink as his go to is straight tequila, but they were generous with the liquor. Overall a wonderful experience and I dont think it will be our last visit.

I’m sorry I didn’t take any pictures but this establishment has fantastic food and great service. Zach was our server and he kept up on everything. We never had to ask for a refill or anything. Curtis, who ran the bar, made sure we were seated and promptly waited on. If you are looking for fast food, don’t go here. Everything made from scratch. Everything is fresh. You will love whatever you order.

Gregs is a magical place. As a drag performer, they have frequently been my safe space and offered me love and support for my craft. The drinks are STRONG, so pace yourself. The staff is pleasant and the music is bangin’.

Maybe this place is amazing and maybe it isn’t I would love to be able to enjoy the space. However, a man who SAed me frequents this space and appears to be there anytime my friends and I have wanted to stop by. The staff said they cant do anything about it if he isnt actively causing problems. Greg’s may be a «safe space», but it definitely doesn’t feel like it for me

We decided to go here while on vacation. Me and my friend’s first time at a gay bar together. We enjoyed it. The bartender was very friendly. We ordered margarita’s and watched the drag show. It was simple but yet it was just perfect. Everyone was so nice.

Cash only is wild. I haven’t been here since 2019 and by god have things changed. There’s no reason a bar should be cash only in 2025. We arrived and left immediately after finding out that the bar was cash only.
