Solomio was the best movie see it if you haven’t. The theater itself nice. Seats were so comfortable the people were very pleasant the popcorn delicious ant the coke was not watered down like most places. Go try it out. And most of all it wasn’t crazy expensive like before. My husband went like a few years it cost us 60.00 something dollars this time for the two of us it was only 30.00.that took me by surprise. A nice surprise it was.

The Traveling Man

This was my first time at this particular AMC location. As a Movie fan, I pay for the monthly AMC «A-List» while trying different AMC locations. This location is the best one I’ve been to yet. First off, this location pops it’s own Popcorn. All the other AMCs I’ve been to pour already popped Popcorn out of large clear bags and sell it that way and it’s terrible. This locations pops it and it is delicious. So much better fresh like this. I was surprised when I saw it popping. The theatres I watched Movies in were clean with a few exceptions but there were alot of people there due to the weekend, the pictures were bright and loud (especially the Dolby Cinema which is fantastic) and all the employees I spoke to were friendly. The downfall, reason I didn’t give 5 stars, is because the doors to each auditorium is left open never shut during Movies so at times you could hear another Movie across the hall. Like every theatre there are people on their phones and talking during the Movie which is stupid on their part. Overall, I would return here before I would other AMC locations in the area.

A great place to watch movies on giant screens. We were able to get our tickets and food easily. I love they the soda machines because the options are practically endless. The food was good, the staff were helpful, and the theater was clean. The seats recline, which is nice. The chair I was sitting in wasn’t comfortable unless I was reclined all the way though.

Nice clean theater. A first for me was the recliner seats! Easy parking even for handicap. We did everything thing thru the AMC app including our popcorn and drinks. Concession Pick up area was easy to find plus the name on the bag is easy to read which makes it quicker to pick up!

I love this theater. Some of the staff has worked there since I was a child. The bar doesnt really exist, no one is ever working it. I love how spacious it feels. Recliners are cozy.

This theater is well taken care of. Like the reserved seating. Comfortable reclining chairs with plenty of room to get to your seat. No reason to stand in line for a ticket with online purchases.

This has been our theater of preference since moving to the area a few years ago and we’ve enjoyed our benefits as AMC members, especially «half off Tuesdays and Wednesdays». We used to come to the movies a few times per month, but they’ve begun staggering their new releases at odd and inconvenient times, seemingly to accommodate special features or re-releases of older films. I believe they would have better luck focusing on newer releases during their half-off nights, we’ll probably hold off on going anymore or renewing our membership until then.

I’ve been coming to this drive-in my whole life, and it’s pure nostalgia every time. The Beetlejuice Beetlejuice showing was a blast—people dressed up, the vibe was electric, and even my grand doggie is always welcome here! Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and memories that keep me coming back.

DONT watch scary movies here as you will only see half the movie 🎥 as the screens are not equipped for it. Love the pizza!!! The popcorn tasted a little stale this visit but not in the past. Love watching movies under the stars and $12 for 2 is perfect. They do shut down everything at midnight so use the restroom before then. Overall it’s a summer staple!!

Affordable Family friendly activity . I like the fact that the Drive-in is not far from the downtown Indy. It’s easy access and a lot of parking spots on site. You can grab a snack at the concession . It’s very basic food and snacks( hot dog, pizza and soda ). I recommend bringing your own food and snacks . You have a small kids area and it is pet Friendly. The pathways were damaged in some parts. But I definitely recommend!

Best Place to watch movies in the World to me,they are kind, movie informative and its clean, I been coming here since i was a kid & all kids Come here my 20,17 and my 7 year old has started making memories there now..the food is classic and is not basic they have nice arrows to let you know where you need to go. They keep all the hottest movies and will rotate some cool old movies and others types of entertainment on the screens.yall youngsters are lucky its on a radio station now but back in the day it was on speaker boxes! but they kept the speakers tended too though. The prices for food are reasonable. The shirts and other stuff is classic and dope. I would like to mention the gaming area its always been nice i use to love to get on them as a young man. I like to mention Ive seen other reviews complaining about the smell these people are crazy, i love the smell. I can’t think of anything I failed to mention except for the park buy the screen it’s nice that they have that for the kids to play on.

I went there to see the David movie that just came out and really liked how fast paced the service was. Quick, speedy and also can’t forget to add how friendly the staff was. The theater was quite clean and I didn’t notice any food or anything on the ground. The popcorn was 10/10 as far as theater popcorn goes and I absolutely enjoyed my time there.

I visited AMC to watch the Minecraft movie in 3D with my child, and it was a fantastic experience. The theater was clean and well-organized, with very comfortable seating that’s perfect for families. The 3D visuals were impressive, and the sound quality was crystal clear, which made the movie even more exciting for both of us. The atmosphere inside the theater was calm and enjoyable. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the environment felt safe and welcoming for kids. Highly recommend this place for a fun family outing — we’ll definitely be back!

Enjoyed an almost no crowd 11:45am showtime of Dog Man! Theatre and restrooms were tidy. Did not purchase food this time, but would recommend funnel cake sticks. It was a CC movie and had been listed as such, wondered if that would be an issue but found myself reading everything. 🤣 Comfortable seats, the back row feels almost like your the only row in the theater. Purchased the tickets on groupon and entry with the QR code was smooth.

Bought tickets to watch movie in 3D. Was broken so ended up watching on regular screen. Theater is in need of serious upgrades. Recliners all peeling and very worn. Showing at 1:30pm… theater super dirty. I wished I had gone to a different location. No a great experience. Costly outing for a mediocre place.

Starla Gooch

It’s unbelievable how bad of a customer experience this theater provides sometimes. Today was the second time my family and I have tried to see a 3D movie in IMAX and the 3D wasn’t on. I guess AMC just knows it doesn’t work and plans to dupe the customers into buying tickets anyway, then giving them a voucher for another movie. This issue was made even worse by the over 50 MINUTES of commercials and previews we were forced to sit and watch after the showtime before the movie finally started. And the move was 3 hours and 15 minutes, so we were sitting there over 4 hours. The gall of AMC to so blatantly not care about customer experience is baffling to me. No wonder people stop going to the movies.

Sammie PYO

My favorite place to watch movies in Indiana. The theater is clean and comfortable, with a great variety of food and snacks, and the staff are friendly. I’ve been to better theaters in other states, but this is still a good place to enjoy a movie. The entrance to the parking lot isn’t very smooth and has some potholes. It’s a very large theater with a spacious parking area. Fewer people come to the movies these days, but I still love going to the theater. I enjoy the atmosphere of sitting in a movie seat, eating popcorn, and laughing along with strangers nearby. It’s something you can’t really experience at home. Watching movies at home is convenient, but it’s just not the same. That’s why I signed up for the movie buffet membership — I can watch as many movies as I want, and if a movie is long, I can come back another day to finish it. It’s a lot of fun.

Seating wasn’t the most comfortable. Compared to the new movie theaters where the seats have warmers I’m assuming because theaters are very cold. Clean, friendly atmosphere. Family friendly.. prices on drinks and food are outrageous smh one large pineapple drink was $20 bucks

Reasonably pleasant place to see a movie. Didn’t have any trouble finding a place to park. Their loyalty program is confusing and doesn’t seem to work very well. Maybe it would be better, if I had the app, but I don’t like adding apps to my phone. I’ve had trouble getting credit for the points that I’ve earned.

This movie theater is somewhat past it prime and a bit dated. The parking lot isn’t the best for entrance and exit especially when busy. Its very expensive for tickets. The seating is assigned and they have wonderful power recliner seats. The ticket counter is small and easily gets backed up. The concession area is also small. The movie experience seems good enough as the picture quality and sound was fine.

Great theater! Not too busy but not empty. Staff is friendly and competent. Theater was clean, and the screen and audio were fantastic! As far as the movie, we viewed The Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes though not what I hoped it was entertaining and cinematic! It felt a bit underdeveloped in storyline and script but was exciting to watch! Go see a movie it’s still fun!

They need to mark their website better. When I ordered the tickets, I was under the impression they were gonna be recliner seats. I get there, and my seat is completely soaked with soda. The cup holder is dripping wet, seat soaked with soda, and it doesn’t recline. Smelled like a gym bag the whole time I was sitting there. Someone riding a scooter that sits 2 feet above the seats sat in front of me. I have no problem with people with disabilities or in wheelchairs but that was a whole riding scooter. The movie theater couldn’t do anything about me seeing a silhouette of a man the entire time of the Deadpool movie. They offered to refund me, but at that point, the movie started and didn’t wanna ruin things for everyone else. They gave me movie tickets and drink and popcorn tickets that expired within a month. Won’t be back. This place needs to do some deep cleaning on the seats. it shouldn’t smell like mildew in the theater. Not impressed with how they «gave me a refund».

A great experience from arrival to depature. The staff was courteous & helpful. I ordered my ticket online ,& the movie attendant/greeter scanned my QR code, then directed me to the viewing room. I also ordered my snacks online & they were neatly placed in an AMC bag waiting for me at the concession stand. The recliner seat was a dream to sit & lay on during the film; it was so comfortable, I almost fell asleep! I’ll definitely be back for more movies.

Outside right now as we speak (Feb 1 2:30) in the car waiting for the people I came with to finish their 2 hour+ movie because mine was cancelled with no warning, then the manager told me to leave or wait out of sight near the cold windows or outside for those 2 hours. So I had to call the birthday lady, tell her that staff was sending me out because I wasn’t there to see a movie (because it was cancelled and no other showings were available) and she had to come out with her keys to put me in the car to keep me warm until they could finish. Calls are going to be made. This place used to be decent and accommodating, what a joke.

Me and my son went to see GOAT and we got the number 2 with 2 drinks and large popcorn. Well one of the pop machines was not working right and the drinks all tasted off. When I brought to the management all they could say was sorry for your inconvenience but yet they know the machine is not working right and are still using it. The combo is like 23 dollars sorry for my inconvenience thats fine I will drive to Castleton next time. I know for a fact they know because one of the coworkers pulled the man to the side and told him it was off and they told me I could get another drink from the other machine but our movie was already over so no thank you.

Nice reclining leather chairs. Good quality picture. Theater was clean including the bathrooms. They now have the machines where you can pick your drink and free refills. Stubs rewards program so you can get free upgrades and gifts. Concession prices are high, but nothing new there. They’ve jumped on the bandwagon with the fancier food choices. My only real complaint was it was very warm in the theater.

IMAX at the Indiana State Museum — Next Level Experience I came in expecting a normal IMAX… and left genuinely blown away. The screen is massive, the sound hits perfectly without being overwhelming, and the whole setup makes you feel like you’re in the film, not just watching it. Being from Colorado, I’ve been to plenty of theaters, but this one stands out—crystal-clear visuals, insane immersion, and super comfortable seating. It’s the kind of experience that reminds you why IMAX is still unbeatable. If you’re visiting Indy, do yourself a favor and catch a film here. It’s worth every minute.

The biggest and coolest screen in Indiana by far, and the 3D experience was incredibly immersive. The best place to sit is right in the middle of the theater. However, the seats are very uncomfortable, don’t lean back well, and are ripped up pretty bad. On top of that, everything is dirty… they don’t clean between movies – they just sweep everything under the seats. Oh, and the concessions are far worse than other theaters in town with very few options.

Movie was fine, unfortunately this was the dirtiest theater I have ever been in. The lady in front of us dropped her glasses and requested we pick them up. So my son and I flipped our phone lights on and looked down behind the chair (which we had already seen walking in). I told her to go get a new pair because there was zero chance I was going to put my hand down there. It’s unfortunate, because the exterior facility is nice. All three of us were absolutely disgusted with its cleanliness. I would recommend going elsewhere. We will not be back, unless there are many reviews complimenting the cleanliness.

Drove 5hrs to watch the 70mm editions of tenet & DUNE 2- I appreciate that parking is complimentary with tix purchase. The concessions and service were excellent. Same crew helped me both days and were excellent. The audio! And theater didn’t disappoint. All the extra $ I spent to make it here was worth it. I did not tour any other exhibit or feature of this gorgeous building but I strongly recommend watching a 70mm feature here. Honestly. I’m probably coming back indy to watch dune 2 again. No other way to watch such a movie..

Had a great experience at this movie theater! The place was nice and clean from the moment I walked in. The staff was super friendly and made the whole visit feel welcoming. Great sound and picture. The sound vibrates through the seats. They also have very comfortable reclining seats. The concessions are great. Pepperoni pizza and popcorn taste great. I went to go see Jurassic Park 3D. What I noticed the most was that the seats were very good… while I was seated there, I must have brushed my hand across the controls. I noticed that the back of my chair was getting warm… That’s when I realized that they have heaters in the seats.. WOW!!! That was amazing!! And the staff were very friendly.. Definitely going back again….

Very well-run. We were there on an opening night and there was quite a crowd. Even so, the staff was efficient and friendly, and they kept things moving. Went to a movie for date night at Cinemark greenwood corner and I kept getting bitten by bedbugs. After the movie ended .there were raised bumps all over my under arm. We told the manager ( redhead kid couldn’t be old enough to drink yet) asked the seats.went and checked himself and came back and said he saw nothing.gone for maybe 90 seconds.Well look at my arm! There’s proof. We drove home. Went in the bathroom. Both stripped and put our clothes in bags. Showered. Don’t go there! The ticket prices aren’t worth getting bedbugs! And then being called a liar by a kid running the place. EDIT: originally tagged Cinemark greenwood corner . THEY UNTAGGED AND BLOCKED ME. DO NOT GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT BITTEN AND YOUR NIGHT RUINED

I really like this theater! The chairs are big and recline. They even have a seat warmer built in the chairs. There is a lot of space between rows so it’s easy to get in and out of a middle seat if needed. The popcorn was really good and a big size. They offer the trays for the popcorn as well. They have the soda machines where you can choose your flavor and mix jns- it’s basically endless choices. The staff were friendly. Also this is a great movie theater for anyone who has an issue with stairs. The theater room we were in is slopes- no stairs. They also had several areas for wheelchair seating right when you walk in the theater room.

It was one of the absolute BEST Theaters to visit on a night out with friends and family in downtown Indy! It was pro staffed with friendly attentive employees. had great seating sections& a variety of snacks 😋 Sadly to say it’s been permanently closed for 3 years. they permanently closed on 10/31/2024 my daughter told me about it i looked it up&Google confirms it. Google Maps thinks it’s smarter than it’s app users.. yet it failed to confirm that this wonderful place is permanently closed. Google Maps needs to fix that glitch problem. because it’s not very accurate these days. I’m really gonna miss this place 😢 so many great memories of it’s existence over the years &nights out with the family Theater fun. It’s a damn shame 😔…. because now downtown sucks

We were in town for my stepdaughter’s marching band competition back in November. While we had a free day of exploring the city. We decided to head to the movies. This was during the middle of the day, and NO ONE was there. There was one other person in the cinema watching Five Nights at Freddie’s with us, It was almost creepy. The guy, not the movie. But also very relaxing that we didn’t have to share a row full of ppl. I hate when ppl sit right next to you when they have the whole cinema of seats to pick from, very annoying, and this guy sat rows behind us. The seats were clean, the cinema looked very neat. We’re keep this place in ming, if we’re ever back in town again.

The theatre (concession area – lobby) is dated but the individual theatres have been «updated» with reclining chairs. The chairs have an attached table making it easy to eat. The chairs feel cheap, and uncomfortable when reclined. You can tell they cut on cost trying to compete with AMC Theatres recliners. Regal needs to raise the bar if they want any type of chance of comparison.

One person at the counter and it took over 15 minutes for a single order of nachos. They had to run my payment for tickets and again for food at two different registers. I was the only one in line. Place was clean though. Paid $7.80 for a single ticket. I guess they run on a skelton staff. I should have passed and just went to the mall.

I was really upset they didn’t have a dine In theater in Indianapolis. that all changed when I realized I had automatic reclining seats! Nice clean theater, a lot of legroom, you got to be careful not to fall asleep if the movie is slow. Rocketman kept me rocking!

Great place to catch a movie. Best seats I’ve seen in Indy so far way better than the AMC theaters. If you park in mall garage bring ticket with you to get validated at theater. Free parking for 4 hours when you see a movie.

Very comfortable reserved reclining seats with oversized cup holder and tray table for snacks. Only demerit was for the restrooms located well back near the theatre entrance instead of closer to the screens.

This theatre is past its prime and has not been updated. The seats are old, the upholstery is stained, worn, and dingy. The HVAC makes constant humming noise and is distracting when you’re trying to enjoy a film. The staff are nice but there are so many theaters in the area with more comfortable, reclining seats, less noisy air conditioning, and significantly better concessions. I’m sad. I’ve seen so many movies here, but I think I’ve seen my last one there. 😢

Went to see «GOAT» with and produced by Steph Curry. Animated film, very apprpriate for my 10 yr old grandson. Shared a big popcorn and a great evening at the movies together!!

The theater does not provide heat during cold months. In a puffer coat, layers underneath, hat, gloves and still shivering while watching the movie. Had to ask them to turn on heat at which point it got only slightly better. This is my only complaint.

Maintenance needs in the women’s bathroom. Mystery dirt on bathroom stall walls (poop?) Staff are nice and helpful. We’re too fat for the seats. They’re on the small side, but the armrests go up, so as long as it’s not busy (and we were a third of those in attendence) no problem. Someone needs to vacuum the popcorn out of them (theater 6). Hard to feel safe buying popcorn or drinks when you can tell cleaning is neglected.

EEEEYUCKKK!!! When’s the last time y’all cleaned the seats??? Never from the looks of them, booty sweat everywhere! my daughter sat on the edge of the chair for the entire movie!!! We won’t be back….ever.

The personnel were very friendly and professional, but this one one of the worst maintained cinemas I’ve seem in a long time. The lobby was fine but the interior in the individual viewing rooms was atrocious! The seats were heavily stained and the cup-holders had crumbs and filth all over them. One look at the seating mechanisms proved they probably hadn’t been deep cleaned in years. Shame on the owners for not putting some of the funds back into the upkeep of the viewing rooms. Although it is in my neighborhood, I will not come back to this location.

The Dining Grandpa

Third visit here, nice clean theater and plenty of fresh popcorn with cold soda, assorted snacks and treats. This is an older theater missing here is recliners and mixed drinks. Though the Theater is in need of a few upgrades, nothing here appears neglected or worn out. We came to see Oppenheimer on our first visit, great flick. Younger people should likely do a little history research before watching. Otherwise parts of the movie will not be understood! Older folks such as myself were taught ww2 history in school. Good Movie it’s a bit slow at first but worth the wait. This film will sure win Oscars. Today Saturday 8/5, we came for «Talk to me». This is a creepy little tale, sure to catch you off guard more than once. Younger viewers will find it terrifying I’m sure. 9/8 back for Equalizer 3 with Denzel Washington, this is the best one yet! This movie is fast and exciting. Has everything you want in an action thriller. Denzel plays his role masterfully.. What a great flick, very bloody and entertaining. Overall this isn’t a bad theater, but better seats would certainly be welcome.

Frequently asked questions about cinemas in Indianapolis

What types of cinemas are available in Indianapolis?

Indianapolis offers a diverse range of cinema experiences. You’ll find multiplexes offering a wide selection of mainstream films, independent cinemas showcasing smaller, more curated titles, and even drive-in theatres for a nostalgic experience. The types of formats offered, such as 3D, IMAX, and Dolby Cinema, vary between locations, so it’s worth checking specifics before booking.

How can I find out what films are currently playing at a particular cinema?

The easiest way to discover what's playing is to visit the cinema’s official website. Most cinemas also provide showtime listings on popular ticketing platforms like Fandango and Atom Tickets. Local entertainment publications and online event calendars are also good resources for finding cinema schedules.

Are there any cinemas with premium seating options?

Yes, several cinemas in Indianapolis offer premium seating options. Locations like the AMC Signature Theatre at CityPlace and some select locations within the AMC chain provide luxury seating, often including power outlets and mini-bars. It’s crucial to confirm availability and pricing when booking tickets, as premium seating often comes with a higher cost.

What are the typical ticket prices for a movie at an Indianapolis cinema?

Ticket prices vary considerably depending on the cinema, the time of day, and the day of the week. Generally, matinee showings (typically before 6 pm) offer lower prices. Weekend evenings and special events usually command higher prices. Expect to pay around $12-$18 for a standard 2D movie, and $18-$25 for 3D or IMAX experiences.

Do cinemas in Indianapolis offer any special events or promotions?

Many cinemas regularly host special events, such as premiere nights, Q&A sessions with filmmakers, family-friendly screenings, and seasonal movie events. They also frequently offer promotions like discount days, student discounts, and loyalty programs to reward frequent visitors. It is advisable to check the cinema's social media for upcoming events.

Are there any cinemas with food and beverage services?

Almost all cinemas in Indianapolis offer food and beverage services, typically including concession stands selling popcorn, candy, drinks, and other snacks. Some larger cinemas, such as the AMC Signature Theatre, may also have full-service restaurants or in-seat ordering options. Be aware that prices for food and drinks are often higher than those outside the cinema.

What are the parking options like at Indianapolis cinemas?

Parking availability varies depending on the location and the cinema’s popularity. Most cinemas have on-site parking lots, which can fill up quickly, especially during peak hours. Some cinemas offer valet parking services, while others have parking agreements with nearby garages. Public transportation, such as buses, is available in some areas but might not be conveniently located for all cinemas.

Are there any independent or art-house cinemas in Indianapolis?

Yes, Indianapolis has a thriving independent cinema scene. The Herron Film Theatre, located in the historic Herron Arts Center, is a well-regarded venue showcasing independent and foreign films. Other smaller, independent cinemas offer a more curated selection of films, often focusing on art-house, documentary, and foreign language productions. It’s worth searching for venues hosting special screenings and film festivals.

How do I book tickets online?

You can book tickets online through the cinema’s website, or via third-party ticketing platforms such as Fandango, Atom Tickets, or MoviePass (if available). Many cinemas also offer mobile ticketing, allowing you to purchase tickets directly from your smartphone. Booking in advance, particularly for popular films or weekend showings, is strongly recommended.

What are the current accessibility options at Indianapolis cinemas?

Most cinemas in Indianapolis are committed to providing accessibility for patrons with disabilities. This typically includes wheelchair access, closed captioning, and assistive listening devices. It’s best to contact the specific cinema in advance to confirm the availability of these options and to inquire about any specific accommodations you may require. Checking the cinema's website for accessibility information is a good starting point.
