Ashley Knokey

The mobile bar was a fun experience. Highly recommend for someone who’s never done a mobile bar ride before. Was a great time. The people walking down the street will yell out numbers. Whoever is sitting in the seat with that number will be called on to take a drink. The best number is «7» meaning everyone on the ride has to take a drink. Was worth the money for the experience. Emma was our driver. She was great at keeping the vibe going all night.

My wife and I visited The Hangar before the Colts game and were thoroughly impressed. At $30 a ticket, the value is excellent, especially considering the buffet was much better than your average pregame spread. What really stood out was the service. We saw multiple employees going above and beyond. A young man on the buffet line was a rockstar, constantly replenishing food, answering questions, and keeping the area spotless. The bartenders also did a fantastic job managing the crowd, keeping the line moving quickly despite being slammed. Great food, great energy, and even better service. We will definitely be back!

We recently celebrated my birthday at The Hanger and completed a Handlebar tour. The tour was fun! We reserved a table and gulf simulation are for a few hours. The staff and management was amazing. Our tour guide was great as well. I highly recommend booking and celebrating with The Hanger.

We planned our adventure to the Hangar to celebrate my daughter and her boyfriend’s 21st Birthdays! The entire experience was above all expectations! We went to ride the pedal bar (which was fantastic! So much better than we even thought it would be!) but really enjoyed just hanging in The Hangar! From the moment we arrived Erin, better known as E, was friendly and engaging and so much fun!! We got some phenomenal drinks and those scrumptious Spare Tires to take on our ride! We then pedaled our butts all over the city and stopped at a few hot spots, one I never even knew was there, 16-bit! So fun!! We went down to the bottleworks district and then finally back to the Hangar to Hang! We had more drinks and some Pizza, fried pickles and of course, more fantastic Spare Tires! Those things are so good we would drive back down today to have more for Dinner!! Carlos our bartender and E made the evening a smashing success! We played games, met new people and genuinely loved every minute of it! We cannot recommend this experience enough! Everyone in the group is looking forward to the next experience on the pedal bar and in the mean time we will definitely be back for those Spare Tires!!

My friend and I took part in a Colts pregame tailgate at The Hangar. What a great value for only $30/person. It included 2 drink tickets, unlimited buffet food including pizza, nachos, baked potatoes, and hot dogs, and a ride on the Handlebar to the stadium. There were seats (first come first served) to watch the 1:00 game action, and plenty of activities going on outside. The outside activities also included a great live band. It was quite crowded, but I appreciated the friendliness of the bartenders as they worked their butts off during the party. I would definitely do it again!

We had our work end of year/staff appreciation party at The Hangar and I can’t recommend it enough! The attention to detail was amazing, the staff; all the way from the owner to the GM to the bartenders were outstanding! Our crew had so much fun and so many compliments! We will definitely be back for another party in the future! Thank you all and keep up the outstanding work!

It’s a special place to run, with a great atmosphere. You might come across some duck droppings along the path, so just be mindful and run around them. The scenic views along the way make the run so enjoyable that you forget you’re even tired. For me, one loop is about 4–5 km, which is just the right daily distance.

Passing through Indianapolis and decided to check out the central canal before being on my way. Way more beautiful and clean that I expected. No trash, graffiti, or unsavory elements. Residents walking, or jogging and take it all in like me. I walked pretty far along the canal and enjoyed the relaxation.

These are a few photos of the beatiful architecture that you get to see while walking along the canal. I really, really enjoy my weekly walks that I take along the canal. I do it for my health and peace of mind.

I came across the Canal Walk while visiting Indianapolis and exploring the city on foot. It turned out to be one of the highlights of my stroll — a peaceful, well-designed path that winds along the water right through the heart of downtown. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a mix of locals and tourists enjoying the scenery, public art, and shaded areas. I saw people kayaking and even pedaling around in water bikes, which added a fun, active vibe to the otherwise calm surroundings. It’s a perfect route for a mindful walk, with plenty of spots to pause, take photos, or just enjoy the blend of nature and city life. If you’re ever in Indy, it’s absolutely worth checking out.

This river walk seemed cool ! We went on a weekday & it was less crowded. Didn’t feel unsafe. Well maintained, smelled good . Enjoy beautiful city landscape while walking. Wanted to have a boat ride across the canal but boat riding service was temporarily closed .

A peaceful walk along a well kept canal replete with ducks and geese in the middle of the city is quite a treat. I was staying in an adjacent hotel and returned three times for exercise, fresh air and peace. There is an Italian restaurant complete with gondolas for hire and the boatmen give a running commentary on the area they are passing. It’s worth going down to the junction of the canal with White River where manicured lawns and views to the horizon without sight of manmade anything offer some of the glories of nature without the wild danger!

We stayed here the end of October 2025. The Indianapolis KOA was easy to find just off I-70. We had heard that check-in involved a tight turn near the office, but we had no issues navigating the turn with our 40’ fifth wheel and F450. Check-in was quick and easy, and we proceeded to deluxe Paw Pen Site D55, a pull-through with full hookups. We’ve stayed at KOAs with Paw Pens before, but this location had the largest fenced dog area we’ve seen to date, which was a nice surprise. Cell coverage was solid with 3 bars on both Verizon and T-Mobile. The campground has a lot of mature trees, so satellite service could be challenging depending on site location. For this overnight stay, we used our T-Mobile Home Internet and saw 35.4 Mbps download speeds instead of deploying Starlink. Campground Wi-Fi was available but slow at 3.89 Mbps download. The laundry room was clean and well maintained, with large washers and dryers. There was signage noting that the well water may stain white clothing, but we washed some white items without any issues. Take a few minutes to read the campground rules—they’re surprisingly hilarious and worth the laugh. Overall, this was a great overnight stop and one of the better KOA stays we’ve had.

An average campground. Coming in Google took us on a wrong turn into Camping World. Leaving Camping World then saw the KOA sign with an arrow. Figured it out but they either need to update their address or better signage. Check-in was quick but desk staff needs to be much more welcoming, engaging, and SMILING. Wife reserved what turned out to be a Buddy site and the only good thing was relatively close to the only bathroom/showers. Buddy sites are right on top of your neighbor. Bathroom/Showers supposedly cleaned daily but get 2.5 Stars at best. Discovered when we unhitched that the ball on my hitch needed tightening. Went to the office a few days latter to ask to borrow a couple big wrenches. Was told rather curtly they can’t borrow out any tools. I offered to have the guy accompany me but no go. Really? Thankfully a fellow camper overhead and came to my rescue. Staff appears to be all teenagers. Nice pool area for kids but not adults. Campground is close to I 70 and gas. Catholic Church 15 minutes away in Greenfield. Indianapolis about 20 minutes.

Overall it was pretty decent. The location was nice and close to everything. The campsite felt new and renovated. The biggest complaints for us was how dirty the water was and it smelled like copper. Our water filter was also brand new, just bought it less than a week prior to visiting. The sites are also not level and the gravel was extremely narrow. For how expensive this stay is I’d have expected a much higher quality for the sites. Outside of the sites, the place was nice, clean, and full of amenities.

We stayed in a premium RV site for 4 nights with swings and a fireplace. It is so nice to set out at night under the lighted gazebo. This KOA is clean, well manicured and it has a nice pool that kids will love. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed walking and seeing the cabins that were available to rent. It also has a nice gift shop. We have stayed here twice and will definitely be back.

Very well maintained campground. We love traveling here with our friends from Ohio. The kids have a great time at the pool and they have plenty of buddy sites so we can camp side by side. Just had a great time again this past weekend. Looking forward to being back next season!

Jason Schulte

This is a very nice campground. It has all the things you come to expect at a KOA. It has a nice pool, clean bathrooms, and friendly staff. The sites even for a pull through was spacious. If you are in the back section of the campground you have a long walk to the shower/bathroom. They have a nice trail and bridge over a stream that runs through the campground but the trail ends right at a campsite. It would be nice if the campground would complete the trail all the way to the bathroom. The only option campers in the back section have is to either walk through campsites or walk a long way around. This can be a challenge with small children that when they say they have to go probably had to go a long time ago. Overall we enjoyed our four days stay and will certainly use the campground again.

The Indiana Statehouse made for an interesting visit. I was lucky to get a tour from a knowledgeable and friendly guide, and the building is quite impressive. It was cool to be able to see the different chambers of government and appreciate the architecture of the place. The central atrium is also beautiful even though there’s construction going on that’s partially blocking the light. The building is definitely worth a visit for the styling alone.

Among the over 20 state and provincial capitol buildings we’ve toured, Indiana’s is a definite top-tier favorite. Our guided tour was exceptional, largely due to Pat’s excellent knowledge and engaging presentation of both history and government insights—a true credit to the state. The tour provided unique access to areas not open to the public. The grounds are immaculate, adorned with beautiful gardens, statues, and historical markers (though expect some construction on the north side). Inside, the building is monumental, featuring stunning architecture, sculptures, woodwork, stained glass, and skylights. If you’re in Indianapolis, this is a must-visit!

One of the best campgrounds I’ve stayed at. I travel for work so I’ve had my fair share of staying at dumps. This place was clean, organized ,and professional, the lots were a good size and parking was fine. The brand new bath house was always clean and spotless along with the washers and dryers. If im ever back in the area this will be my go to campground to stay at.

My husband and I were here for just an overnighter going from Ohio to Arizona. We were parked right by the front of the park so I can’t speak to anywhere else in the park, but we had plenty of room to get into our spot. We left Ohio a day early so I had to contact them a couple different times on a Sunday. Even though the office was closed, I still got prompt courteous responses! The check in packet was well explained. The Wi-Fi was not fast enough to stream movies but way fast enough for normal internet cruising, which is significantly better than many places we stay! We would definitely come back here again!

Lake Haven Retreat served as our 181st stop, where we stayed for six nights. This urban RV park, while conveniently located less than 20 minutes from downtown Indianapolis, is situated in an industrial area. Be prepared for ongoing road construction when approaching – following the park’s directions is highly recommended (as of June 2025). As expected in an urban setting, there’s some ambient road noise and occasional overhead plane traffic. The sites are quite close, particularly at the shared utility hookups, and it’s worth noting that the park accommodates many long-term residents. On the positive side, check-in was exceptionally quick and friendly, and we appreciated the comprehensive information pamphlet provided. The recently updated bath and laundry facilities are a definite plus, along with clear signage, a good-sized dog park, and a secure coded entry gate. Overall, Lake Haven Retreat offers a decent and convenient option for an urban stay near Indianapolis. Overall, I would rate it a 4.1. Connectivity (3:00 pm): Park WiFi 6.25 down/0.59 up. T-Mobile 332 down/5.6 up; Verizon 291 down/11.3 up; 58 analog cable channels; 72 digital OTA channels (many duplicates).

This tour was fantastic! One of the best ghost tours I have been on. It was freezing that night so thank you very much for meeting in that cold weather. I took my two kids age 14 and 12 and they stayed engaged and loved it. The tour was very informative and the added EMF reader in addition to the extended tour was well worth it. Thanks for a wonderful spooky ending to our stay in Indiana! FYI for all, this is an outdoor tour so dress appropriately! The extended tour does have a short time indoors for a quick warm up.

There were two tour guides since it was such a large group! The First Gentleman with the top hat was WONDERFUL! He was informative and excited about the tour and came prepared with fun handouts and cards! The second guide was very late and came very unprepared. She did not bring a microphone and was hard to hear. She also informed us at the beginning of the tour we are all taking the extended version «because she didn’t want to walk that far.» We joined the other group with the top hat instead after she said that. But he was amazing and so friendly! Loved all the sights we saw and really enjoyed learning more about a place I’ve been living for almost ten years!

We liked the history parts and the stories. Would prefer the tour to include only Indianapolis downtown spots, instead of the stop to discuss happenings at the Speedway, and the story that was indirectly related to an Indy famous person. Would be good to brief guides a bit more on general Indy facts, and better fact checking for the raceway. E.g., speeds in the 220s, rather than 420s. Should also end the non-bonus tour back at the start.

The location was very convenient to the tract that’s where the good stops . Upon arrival the sites are poorly marked at the back of the sites. There is absolutely no water or septic at the sites. The restrooms are literally a whole in the ground(outhouse) No where to wash hands(no water). The bath house is a joke 4 showers for the men so I’m sure women’s is the same. Cheap shower curtains that blow open ever time outside door opens.cant use parking up front unless you wanna pay $40 a day. charged me extra after I arrived for camping fee.every time I turned around they wanted more money for basic needs while camping. The 5mph speed limit isn’t inforced quite time isn’t inforced people blowing air horn all hours kids on atvs & golf carts running wild all night . It was by far the worst camping experience we have ever had much less the most expensive. When I expressed my concern the ladies was like (we don’t care if you stay here or not! ) This is a $20-$25 a night camp ground at tops most certainly do not recommend staying a week for the us nationals race where they make you rent more nights than u need to start with was very disappointing!!!!!!!!!!

Really interesting place. Right next to the race track. Simple. Several outhouses, a small lace to take showers, and a place to do dishes. Marked camp sites with signs, some with electric. Grassy set up and gravel roadway between rows of sites. Have to park in grass. We tent camped and it was pretty simple. No real fire pits but place to burn in grass . Over all very great and we enjoyed it. Pretty good and very simple place.

I’ve stayed here 3x and will stay again for the Indy 500. Way better than staying at a Red Roof Inn like we did before!

Stayed several days for the Indy 500. Lots of space between sites so you don’t feel on top of each other. Sites only offer electrical services however there is a great shower room and bathroom near the front of the campground. The water was hot and had really good pressure. There is also a fill station as well as dump station. Plus great people. Would stay here again!

I haven’t gone in a while, but my credentials are I went from 2016-2022. I’d give it a 5 star but as I haven’t been in a while I’ll give it a 4 simply, because I don’t know what has changed. I am 15 now and this place made a lot of memories. The most upsetting thing, however, was my favorite counselor Will leaving the same year I stopped going. Other then that, it’s a friendly nice.

Incredible location for conferences or retreats. Intown, but it feels like you are far away. Several facility options to choose from.

The staff at the Jameson Camp were exceptional! They provided our group of students with fun activities, such as painting, hiking, and fire starting. It was so much fun. We can’t wait to come back and try to high ropes and rock climb!

…sent my autistic son here- i must say, the staff was very kind, informative, and extremely patient- my son couldn’t handle overnight so i made the 40 min drive each of the 5 days so he could at least experience the camp- i am grateful of how gentle they were in figuring out a solution- my «only» reason for giving it 4 stars is «not» based on the camp itself, but moreso for it not being the «best» fit for my kiddo- because jameson is a blend of neurotypical kids «and» special needs, he did deal with mild bullying for his speech «but» the staff was on it, and the children apologized- he willingly went to the camp itself during each day, so he obviously enjoyed many aspects of it- we ended up finding a special needs camp that worked wonders for him, but i am extremely appreciative of the staff at jameson- they really went out of their way to attend to my child, and i am grateful- my only advice to parents of special needs kids is to be aware that it is a «blended» camp- not a bad thing, but one to be made aware of- in the end, he left with a wonderful award and a massive smile! way to go jameson!! ❤️

Our son had an excellent experience at Jameson this summer. It was his first-ever overnight camp, and a big step outside his comfort zone. His fellow campers and counselors were welcoming and he made a lot of new friends. When the Crowdstrike tech fiasco scrambled our travel plans on pick-up day the staff and camp director went above and beyond – a truly extraordinary effort to get him home safe and sound! Forever greatful for a great week and the outstanding extra effort to support our son and our family!

I’m so glad we booked a trip here. It was an awesome experience. It’s not Italy, but your gondolier makes you feel like it is. Our man Bruno was awesome. He’s an amazing singer. Even though we couldn’t understand what he was singing it was fantastic. He explained what each song meant and also info and history of the canal and surrounding area. The couple we met were really cool and friendly. I totally recommend this to everyone.
