My sister and I have taken lessons for 6 years, and I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. We’ve found a family here, one that we can chat, jam out, and laugh with. Mr. Mike is a fantastic teacher and always makes his students smile. Indy Music Academy has a very relaxed, open atmosphere and environment while still pushing us students to work our hardest and perform our very best during performances. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind.

The entire team at Indianapolis Music Academy is amazing. We’ve had multiple teachers help us over our time there. Each teacher truly cares about there students and helps them with great music instruction. They definitely treat everyone like family. Our children have really enjoyed their time there and have made a lot of progress in their music abilities. They even helped us form a band, which has been a lot of fun and a great learning experience. Thanks Indianapolis Music Academy!

The staff at Indianapolis Music Academy are professional, dedicated and skilled at music instruction. Kids learn a great mix of music theory from classical pieces along with a variety of song favorites of their own choosing. A musical ladder system is used with trophies and award certificates from beginner to advanced stages. The program incorporates annual recitals where students are encouraged to perform in a live setting for friends, fellow students and family members. I can’t say enough good things about the program and the instructors.
I highly recommend Indianapolis Music Academy to anyone seeking music instruction for children or adults.

My son has been taking guitar lessons for over a year and we love it! He’s stayed very motivated and is continually improving. My son has ADHD and still stays engaged throughout the lessons. We also love that they have recitals and opportunities to show off what the kids have learned. The instructors are also very easy to work with.

I own a guitar repair and sales shop on the southside and met Mike (the owner of Indianapolis Music Academy) there almost 10 years ago. I know that he and his staff are very experienced and well suited to give musical instruction for a variety of instruments and styles. I recommend the Indianapolis Music Academy to all of my customers who inquire about lessons.

Our church contracted for Haitian Creole interpretation over 4 session of a parenting class. It was challenging since the interpretation was remote. Jason Murray is a fantastic manual instructor if you can speak and understand English well…. Otherwise, you will not be able to follow his directions!!!

If you do it like he says and not keep trying to do it your own way, you will be “one and done” passing the test on the first try like I did!
160 was the only driving school, NOT trying to charge me EXTRA to come 2 days a week!

THANK YOU 160!!

Awesome in 1 word. The instructors at the Truck training Yard were spot on in training me in creating space, watching for points in maneuvering. controlling your trailer, and the seriousness of safety on the road. Great group of individuals, each instructor has a different way of teaching, pay attention, know what you come for, and lastly, you just have to listen.

I’ve now become a graduate and I really enjoyed my time and learning phase at 160 Driving Academy. They have great instructors and are really understanding when it come to outside life or having to fit other things in your schedule… It’ was very overwhelming in the beginning and as I transitioned thru the stages the knowledge that I was/had learned I begun to apply it and based off of what I was taught graduated from the program.. DEF recommended..

I first started out my two year old a month ago at the Indianapolis location. The staff is so friendly and nice . The atmosphere is welcoming also nothing is better than having management and teachers that are ready to listen to your concerns as a parent and make sure to provide a quality and safe environment for my children. I have now moved my school ager and she loves it so far and my newborn is also there to love his teachers also . Thanks to Stephanie also she makes it so much easier for me to know that I am leaving my children in a safe environment.

My two year old goes here and has been here since he was 9 months. So I’ve seen many caregivers come and go. Infants was the best for my son but after that it’s been tough and go. It is clean and safe so that why I gave two stars. For toddlers you need consistency and they don’t have that. Our kids move to different rooms throughout the day. Nap time can go 12pm to 3:45pm which causes my child not to sleep through the night anymore. When brought to their attention, they told me they can’t wake the kids up without a doctors order. Nap time schedule is 12:30 to 2:30pm. I could go on but would I recommend this daycare sure but not long term. Again, it is safe and clean but that’s about it.

My children have just started there over 2 weeks ago. So far my kids say that they love it. I love the friendly attitude and atmosphere. They always greet you and talk to you treat you like family. The kids have fun and it small which makes it feel more intimate. Staff is always professional, they update you all day on your child’s activities and behavior in your email and keep track of everything. They even pay attention and report if something happens to your child. I love this because the last daycare on township line road (abacus) were the complete opposite. So it feels good to have a place you can trust. I hope this place goes better than the last.

Our daughter Genevieve has been in the swimming program now for approximately 4-5 months and is loving it! We have increased her sessions from 1x/week to 2x/week to build and retain her skills and keep her active during the winter months in hope of better preparing her for summer. The staff and instructors are very great with the children, engaging in play while instilling instruction and encouragement. It’s a great balance. With our daughter being 3.5, “playing” in the water is a focus for her, but between prep talks prior to class and the instructors gentle reminders and built in opportunities for fun, she is able to focus and learn. She has advanced quite quickly and exhibits motivation and pride in her accomplishments with statements like “Mommy, I treaded water all by myself!”. The Ransburg YMCA is honestly the best! We are exploring more opportunities in the coming new year because we are just so happy and pleased with the staff, engagement, communication, professionalism, fun, friendly, and kind environment.

I love this particular Y out of all of them! They are truly a “family” away from home. There is always something going on for the young adults, children, and older adults. The other day I was working out and I observed thee most generous and compassionate act of kindness from a couple of members of the Training Team and an employee towards an adult thriving/ living with what appeared to be a developmental delay (I’m not clinical staff nor apart of this person’s care team – only stating what appeared to be a developmental delay of some sort) the gentleman was in the “free weight” area and it appeared he may have been using the equipment in correctly. 2 – Y Trainers and 1 employee, gently approached the gentleman and assisted him with resetting the weights he was using, a demonstration with a similar apparatus, and demonstrated a safer way to use it.

He was not asked to leave, there was no “scene” in the area or he was not told he was doing it incorrectly, he was treated like everyone else in the gym. Equal. Appreciated. Respected. And our beat goes on.

Thank Y – Ransburg, for this glimmer of hope.

I love the staff, always welcomed with a smile. The E-gym is great. I also enjoy the cardio equipment, indoor track, aerobic classes and sauna. It’s a great place for seniors as they often have groups meeting for Bingo and Price is Right. Pickle Ball and Ping Pong are also played here. Nice computer lab. Noticed they had a Scholastic book fair going on. Great preschool, lots of sports programs for kids and teens.

The aquatics program for early learners is amazing! The instructor and their aids are very attentive, encouraging, fun, and skilled and teaching early learners how to swim confidently. My little swimmer gets so excited and eager every Monday for swim lessons! She remembers her Instructor’s name and always enjoys trying new challenging things because she is confident that she is safe in her learning environment. I highly recommend this program for small children to build their confidence and swimming skills to one day swim independently and safely!

There’s plenty of walk ways to get the blood flowing here. Or you can venture off the beaten path and walk the hills and fresh cut grass as well. Plenty of room and large if not massive trees to sit under when shade is needed. Fox squirrels are abundant and friendly, unless my beagle goes to howling at them! Very family oriented and quiet. A stage for music, arts and crafts along with friendly faces. Weekends are usually busy in the park.

I freaking love Latin Expressions.

I started taking salsa, “regular” bachata, and sensual bachata lessons about 5 months ago. So far, I’ve had Kyle, Rachel, and Vanessa as my main instructors. They are friendly, fun, and know their stuff.

What I didn’t realize when signing up was that I was entering a community here in Indianapolis that I had no idea that existed. I have made so many new friends in the studio and have taken my new skills out of the classroom into the local Latin dance club scene (primarily The Red Room and The Jazz Kitchen).

Everyone is welcome, but I would say that this is a great place ESPECIALLY for young professionals (speaking as a young professional myself).

As with most things in life, what you put into it is what you’ll get out of it. I’ve worked on my skills outside of classes and that has helped to accelerate my progress, especially in bachata (sorry Kyle, LOL).

This place has made a lasting impression on me and I’m so grateful that I found it.

So much fun! Mom and I walked in for a “pop in and paint.” Excellent service and great prices. The staff are very upbeat and funny.

Definitely give yourself as much time as possible, because some of these paintings have a lot of steps But the instructions are super easy to follow.

They have a LOT of pictures to choose from for your painting. I’ve added a picture of my choice from the binder with my resulting painting.

They also have drinks (alcoholic and non) and snacks (mostly bagged chips).

We saw they do painted wine glasses and custom candles too if you’re looking for something like that.

*Yes I hear you Peggy, being sick with COVID absolutely does not matter. I could come in and cough all over your patrons because of your inflexibility, is this what you’re saying? Please say that louder for the folks in the back. We’re listening.*
I signed up about one or two weeks ago for the cute Sanderson sisters gnome painting event. Super excited! However, I tested positive for Covid and the event is today. I have a major sore throat and a cough. Because of that cough, I asked to reschedule to another event or maybe when this one is offered again. She told us no. Less than 24 hour notice, you get a kit, and written instructions to do it at home. I’m tempted to show up anyway, feel like crap, and cough all over her patrons and explain to them why — that she absolutely was not willing to work with us, but I won’t because I care so much more about other’s health than she does. Just incredibly selfish. Unbelievable.
We spent $82 for a special night out, the whole point is doing it in person! I’m a visual learner, I cannot do this with “written instructions”. I’m never doing booking with her again. We’ve given her a lot of business, even had our daughter’s birthday party there. I am so disappointed and angry.

Stopped in for the first time on Sunday and I have mixed feelings about my experience. I thought the instructor Kaitlyn was personable but could have given more instruction. My painting didn’t come out exactly how I hoped but it’s not terrible, which i understand is my own shortcoming. Also, at the end when paying for my drink, this lady asks if I want to tip Kaitlyn – literally in front of Kaitlyn and the other guest in the room – I thought that was embarrassing and distasteful.
