My sister and I have taken lessons for 6 years, and I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. We’ve found a family here, one that we can chat, jam out, and laugh with. Mr. Mike is a fantastic teacher and always makes his students smile. Indy Music Academy has a very relaxed, open atmosphere and environment while still pushing us students to work our hardest and perform our very best during performances. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind.

The entire team at Indianapolis Music Academy is amazing. We’ve had multiple teachers help us over our time there. Each teacher truly cares about there students and helps them with great music instruction. They definitely treat everyone like family. Our children have really enjoyed their time there and have made a lot of progress in their music abilities. They even helped us form a band, which has been a lot of fun and a great learning experience. Thanks Indianapolis Music Academy!

I own a guitar repair and sales shop on the southside and met Mike (the owner of Indianapolis Music Academy) there almost 10 years ago. I know that he and his staff are very experienced and well suited to give musical instruction for a variety of instruments and styles. I recommend the Indianapolis Music Academy to all of my customers who inquire about lessons.

My son has been taking guitar lessons for over a year and we love it! He’s stayed very motivated and is continually improving. My son has ADHD and still stays engaged throughout the lessons. We also love that they have recitals and opportunities to show off what the kids have learned. The instructors are also very easy to work with.

Mike is a great guitar teacher and an even greater person. I’ve been taking lessons with him for about a year and a half now and I have to say I don’t think I would be this far with another teacher. Mike is very open to helping you learn some of your favorite songs, and I appreciate that very much. His prices are fair and reasonable for his lessons. His lesson books are easy to follow. Mike is a great guy! I completely recommend him if you are thinking about learning guitar.

Mike is a fantastic guitar instructor. Being an adult and having wanted to take lessons for a long time, I was anxious about learning the instrument and meeting an instructor. Mike was and is consistently pleasant, patient, and thorough. I would highly recommend him to anyone of any age group. I feel lucky to be taking lessons from him and look forward to what I will learn each week.

The staff at Indianapolis Music Academy are professional, dedicated and skilled at music instruction. Kids learn a great mix of music theory from classical pieces along with a variety of song favorites of their own choosing. A musical ladder system is used with trophies and award certificates from beginner to advanced stages. The program incorporates annual recitals where students are encouraged to perform in a live setting for friends, fellow students and family members. I can’t say enough good things about the program and the instructors.
I highly recommend Indianapolis Music Academy to anyone seeking music instruction for children or adults.

I was thinking about going through the program here. I took the tour and I thought i was a great place to be. My only issue is that they allowed drug use in the facility while i was on the tour that’s all you could smell in the air. I was told that they weren’t allowed to do that and that they will talk to them about that but definitely did not want to be in a place like that. Great staff and awesome equipment

Kevin Klaich

I’ve been a student since January of 2019! Since I’ve been attending, I’ve learned key skills on production and engineering that I would have never learned off watching youtube videos. You can’t learn EQ and Compression off videos, you need hands on training and Azmyth provides that. When you’re a student you are not just learning how to mix, or set up the mics for a musician or band to record a session. You are learning signal flow, how sound travel works, proper acoustics etc but you are also networking on the business side of the industry. The tuition amount is very affordable with payment plans compared to other schools like fullsail. Learn at your own speed, ask questions and get answers. Great atmosphere, great engineers, great mentors. I definitely wish I found this school years ago!!!!

My daughter took music production lessons with Ed. She learned so much! Happy to say she was accepted to every university she applied to, including her top choice: Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. Only 15 kids are accepted into the Sound and Audio Engineering program each year and she got in!! They were impressed with the portfolio she submitted, part of which was created in Ed’s studio. But that’s not all… Jacobs offered her several scholarships, so her lessons with Ed have really paid off. Thanks, Ed!

Lane Yeary

Hello all ✌️

This review is for you if you are interested in the music production course, not the DJ course. I finished the course and will be continuing to work with my teacher (Lonegevity) as a mentor.

If you love music & want to produce, this course will take you from knowing/having nothing, to being able to fully create & distribute wherever you’d like in a relatively short period of time.

List of some parts of the course –
-Create beats (melodies, chords, drums, etc)
-Set up music distribution platforms
-Structure songs
-Remix songs
-Learn production hardware & software
-See differences of styles of producing between genres
-Mixing & mastering basics
-Music theory basics
-Release music you create
-Set up structure to collect royalties from your creations

This course is basically a cheat code to fast tracking yourself into whatever you’d like to do with music, the teachers give you all the knowledge & tools they have built over years and give you a cutting edge experience to get you going.

Computers, hardware & software are all provided onsite so that you can do everything in class.

Classes are broken into 6 week sections you pay for at a time so that you can try it out/if life happens you can stop for a bit, so if you’re interested in trying it out give it a go!

There are three teachers,
Lonegevity (My teacher for the course)
Sweater Disco
David Peck

I’ve been watching David DJ for years in Indy and this last year have been introduced to Sweater who is also a phenomenal DJ I get to watch almost weekly.

All are super cool & passionate about what they’re doing, and it’s nice to work with teachers like that 10/10

You can’t say much cos it’s the perfect DJ school. Great instructors, they are ready to work with you on a flexible schedule. I had a great experience. If you are in the Mid-West and wanting to become a DJ, Deckademics is your best and only choice.

Can’t say enough about these guys. They are excellent teachers and very patient. They even put up with a bunch of nonsense from a old guy like me. They can work with everyone. Most of the time there is another student that’s about 40 years younger than I am getting lessons at the same time.

If you have any interest in a hobby or becoming a working DJ, there is no debate. Coming here will be the best decision you can make.

Additionally, they have a great selection of gear to get you going. No need to buy from big online sellers. You cant beat being able to touch and use equipment and then buying it from a local business.

In 2015 I accepted my calling to complete the project called “The Journey”.
I collaborated with several people that would say one thing and do another. As a result my confidence was shaken. Then God directed me to Humble Creations with Randall Rosenthall. He and his team proved to be the best of the best. I had MANY questions and really didn’t know what I was doing. Lol, but Brother Randall and his team showed me what God was trying to tell me: that He had called and equipped me for this project. As God had ordained the finished product was great. I recently finished my second project and it was even more dynamic. I am currently working on my third project right now! I love and appreciate that neither Randall nor his team would allow me to me get away with being lazing or timid… I had to walk and sing in the authority that God had given me. Thank Humble Creations!

HCS is wonderful. It’s my home away from home for weekly rehearsal and I’ve just started some tracking (acoustic Alternative). Randall’s enthusiasm about music gives HCS a fantastic vibe. Would recommend HCS to anyone and everyone.

    Contract Law and Negotiations

Civil attorneys can assist music schools in Indianapolis with contract drafting, contract negotiation, and compliance reviews of agreements with instructors, venues, and sponsors. They help ensure clarity on compensation, performance obligations, cancellation terms, and dispute resolution procedures. By examining clauses on termination, exclusivity, and force majeure, they safeguard the institution’s interests and reduce exposure to risk. In addition, they provide guidance on independent contractor classifications and appropriate wording to minimize misclassification liability.

    Intellectual Property and Copyright Protection

Civil attorneys address the protection of musical works, branding, and educational materials produced within the school. They handle copyright protections for original compositions, licensing for performances, and terms of use for recordings. They can assist with trademark considerations for school logos and program names, as well as agreements governing the use of student-created content. Counsel also covers open licensing, fair use considerations, and revenue sharing related to works created at the school.

    Employment and Labor Compliance

Employment-related matters include labor law compliance, employee handbooks, and policy development for instructors and staff. Civil attorneys advise on wage and hour laws, benefits, leave policies, and anti-discrimination requirements. Furthermore, they guide in designing safety training, grievance procedures, and performance management aligned with applicable regulations.

    Risk Management and Liability Waivers

Risk assessment and risk management planning are essential for performances and campus activities. Civil lawyers craft liability waivers and release forms for events, rehearsals, and campus programs. They review insurance requirements for the school, including general liability and professional liability policies, and advise on incident reporting procedures and claims handling. They also help develop safety protocols to reduce exposure to accidents and injuries.

Civil attorneys assist with FERPA-like compliance, privacy notices, and consent forms for data collection and sharing. They review digital platforms used by the school to ensure appropriate safeguards for student records, progress data, audition materials, and enrollment information. They also guide breach response plans and notifications in the event of a data incident.

Real Estate, Leases, and Facility Use

Many music schools operate from leased spaces or manage multiple performance venues. Civil attorneys advise on real estate transactions, leases, and facility use agreements. They assess zoning, occupancy limits, accessibility requirements, and provisions related to subleasing, maintenance responsibilities, and renewal options.
