I’ve had good experiences over several years with Fabric Care Center here in Plainfield. The staff is friendly, even when they’re slammed with customers, and the one time I had a problem with my order, they bent over backwards to make it right. Prices are reasonable. I mean, everything is expensive these days, but there are plenty of cleaners around that cost more. Sometimes there are coupons available that make it even more affordable. They’ve earned my repeat business.

I found Laundry & Tan Connection to be consistently reliable, with clean facilities and a straightforward workflow. The machines operate smoothly, and the wait area is comfortable for short visits. The staff seem attentive, answering questions promptly and guiding newcomers through the process. Overall, the environment feels organized and safe, with clear signage and courteous service that keeps laundry day from becoming a hassle.
Beyond practicality, the atmosphere remains calm and organized, with dependable tanning choices and well-lit facilities that feel inviting. Prices are fair for the area, and loyalty perks seem practical for frequent users. The staff are courteous, and the overall experience avoids unnecessary hassles, making this a reliable stop for a quick load of laundry or a session under the tanning lamps.

Can’t say much for the staff since I barely interacted with them, but they do keep the place pretty clean. Machines are easy to use and there is plenty of space available to wait confortably while doing your laundry. Did not use the Tanning services, so can’t speak for that part.

The “help” is not helpful! If you have a concern with your machine, don’t waste your time bringing it to their attention (3 or 4 times). It’s also usually packed with people, which makes it difficult to find available machines.

Although the surrounding area looks a bit rough, when you step inside facility, you’ve entered a different dimension.
This place is STELLAR! Large parking in the back for big rigs like me and extremely well kept. You can tell that the owner and mgt really care about how this facility us presented to their wide range if customers. As a driver that visits laundromat around the country and almost never the same one twice, this type of excellent facility is much appreciated and I personally told the staff the morning, of my visit.
They even have tanning rooms for those so inclined, plus free Wi-Fi. Everything is clean from the floors to the machines, to the rinse sink. Staff friendly too. So if you need to wash you laundry, whether local or from out of town, The Laundry Connection has several location around Indy and the reviews are consistently for this laundry chain.
Well done, Laundry Connection!!

Accidentally stumbled upon this gem while going to another late night laundromat. So glad I found this one on this side of town. Very helpful staff Cheryl was able to get me my free card so I don’t have to worry about cash. Plus got an extra 10$ when I signed up for the card. Also the card you get lets you get into the restrooms while you’re there. Will be coming back

I accompanied a friend to this laundromat and decided to have a lookie-lou around since the staff were so friendly and my friend told me that this was the only laundromat she uses. Apparently, they have been renovating this place for some time and I see their vision with it. They have your standard laundry facility, and change machines for quarters, they have the laundry carts for your convenience but they also provide an ATM! They have the usual wall vending for snacks and basic laundry goods but then…BOOM!! They have a whole mini mart that extends the options for both and adds some literal ice cream on top! Of course we gotta keep the bored ones busy so why not provide an array of not just activities for the smalls but some for the bigger kids too! And for the whole family, there is a Chester’s Chicken to come around the 1st or 2nd weekend of May. I like this place because they make the best of what they have and they provide it with care, the staff can be seen often cleaning and are eager to help, it’s easy to overlook minor blemishes when the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Definitely recommend, right across the street from the Eskenazi on East 38th Street.

I used to enjoy coming to this laundromat, but my recent visits have been disappointing. Over the past five trips, I’ve consistently noticed that the detergent dispensers on the washing machines have not been properly cleaned—this issue is especially noticeable during the evening hours. It appears that the second-shift staff may not be maintaining the equipment as thoroughly as they should.
Additionally, some customers bring in large volumes of laundry and occupy entire rows of machines, often overloading the detergent and fabric softener compartments. As a result, the excess product doesn’t wash out properly and leaves residue behind.
I’ve attached four photos taken from different machines in the first row by the entrance to illustrate the condition of the dispensers. I hope management will take these concerns seriously and make the necessary improvements to restore the quality of service.

I actually love this laundromat, the workers are nice and very helpful but I give them a 4 because they need more $10.00 machines. If I go on the weekend I have to wait for the big boys. On the weekdays it’s so much better, hardly anyone is there. But over all this is a good place to wash

Absolutely gross! Half the machines dont work and some of dryers just take mo ey and don’t even get hot. Then the worst part of are the roaches. I couldn’t fold my towels because of the roaches. Then they want to sell fried chicken in here….get rid of the roaches before frying food! Never ever will I step foot in this place again. Keep driving!

Their water smells bad. Possible use of reclaimed water? You can smell the eggish scent when walking in. There are also kids running everywhere because of the toys, games, and food available. Before you load a machine, make sure the card reader works!

First,I want to say Tide Cleaners does a beautiful job of cleaning my clothes most of the time. Recently the location I have been visiting for the last 5 years closed. This was unexpected and somewhat disappointing. But,life goes on. So it has been about 3 months since the closing of the location on 38th and Ilinois. I decided to visit the new location designated to replace the closed store. I had a funeral to attend at the end of the week,so I gathered my items and dropped them off to be drycleaned. As usual once items are ready for pickup a text is received as notification. Within a day or so I received this text that all of my items were ready for pickup. Since I was going to be off in a couple of days I decided to pickup on my off day.
To my surprise and disappointment 2 of my items were unable to be located! This was so frustrating and nerve wrecking not only to me but to the employees who looked furiously for these items. It was such a disappointment to me because I had planned to wear the items that were missing on the next day to the funeral. The employees searched high and low but the missing items could not be located. After about 30 mins I decided to pay for the items that were ready and leave. The employee promised that she or the manager would call me the next day. I was dropping off additional cleaning as well. I started to have doubt but went ahead with my plans to drop them off. Early the next morning I received a call from the employee at the cleaner that my clothing had been located! I was ecstatic and happy! Thank you to all of the employees who so diligently search to make this a happy ending for me! I will continue to trust you with my drycleaning! You earned this 5 Star rating.

It was fairly busy on the day that we went to put several loads in the washers. I loaded $20 on to a Royal laundromat card, and I quickly realized I would need more. We had three full large baskets of clothing to wash, and the double load washers would only hold about half of one of our baskets. I ended up using one of the $9 washers that claimed it washed six loads at a time, but we really just put one full laundry basket into that one. We probably could have put more after seeing it spin around a little bit we can see that there was enough room, but I didn’t want to put too much laundry in one load. There were carts that you could use to wheel the baskets back out to your car. We did not need to use the dryers, so we were in and out in less than an hour. The place seemed clean, and we had no issues with the machines. Overall, I was pleased.

Long time customer here. Ladies/staff are great always welcoming and clean the place. Please fix your cold water and the distribution between cycles. The wash cycle dispenses enough water on hot and warm but even when cold was working it never was dispensed enough despite costing less energy wise. The rinse and final rinse cycles for all your T-950 and bigger drums are wayyy off and essentially do not put out the appropriate amount of water for the size of the drum and to rinse out the chemical/detergent used for washes. The water dispensing and anyone wanting to wash in cold water are the issues and should look elsewhere until this issue is fixed (ongoing for close to a month and a half).

The staff today at about 7:20 turned off all the fans and only left the fan at the front desk where was sitting on, at about 7:45pm I approached her that it’s so hot and unbearable in here everyone was extremely hot and obviously sweating, she told me rudely, that she is sweeping and that is why she turned the fan she is obviously a lying she only sweeps for like one minute then go back to sit for around ten minutes for repeated number of times. If truly her intention was just to sweep she would have done this within few minutes and turn on back the fans but no she was so selfish because she has a small fan by her side. The Mexican ladies that I do meet there never do this and they sweep even during closing times. This kind of attitude she displayed was so terrible that it can make customers faint. I have been a regular customer here but today was so terrible

The place was very clean and orderly. The people working their were very friendly and helpful. The woman helping me suggested size of machines based on what I had as well as talking me through how to use the cards to pay. The laundromat was clean with plenty of empty washing machine even though they’re always busy and the staffs were helpful with loading the card for us. There are washing machines with multiple sizes so we were able to wash from plushies to weighted blankets. Indyland Laundromat presents a bright, organized space with ample machines and easy-to-read instructions. The staff are friendly and patient, guiding first-time users through the process. I valued the variety of load sizes and the efficient dryers that shorten cycles without harming fabrics. The facility feels clean and safe, with regular maintenance and clear aisles that make busy afternoons feel calmer. Prices are reasonable, and the free Wi-Fi helps pass the time. I left feeling confident about returning.
During peak hours, the lineups can be long, and some machines near corners feel crowded, yet staff keep workflows moving with clear directions and quick assistance. A few improvements to seating and clearer signage would boost comfort for longer visits. Overall, Indyland Laundromat offers reliable wash quality, convenient payment options, and a peaceful vibe that makes recurring chores easier to manage. I would return after a good experience here.

They are under new construction. Somehow this caused my clothes to not get washed in the washer. I was asking for compensation and was told yes then a different manager kept saying he will watch the cameras over and over to see if I’m lying or not when he was watching me the whole time.
The new system used little to no water. I ended up washing them again in a different washer w/o any compensation or an apology, was told I was suspicious and may be lying.

I go here a few times a year to wash my big blankets. Nice place and clean. The machines are higher priced from where I used to live, but it’s something to get used to. The machines are for bigger loads and not for smaller loads, so the prices are high and just higher in general. Nice place to wash bigger loads and covers and blankets etc.

A few dryer machines weren’t working on Sunday, 09/06/25. My mother approached the floor manager to let him know about the issue.
Instead of reassuring her that the machines would be fixed, he responded by saying that she was the one who didn’t “function.”
Rather than addressing the problem, he became defensive. What a disappointing way to treat clients.

Customer Reviews
Solid location. Carmel only 15 minutes from Carmel. Chose this location because they were open late. Nice washers and dryers. Even had mega size for 8 loads. Clean inside and took credit cards on the machine. No messing with quarters or pre paid cards. Would def come back.

I haven’t been to a laundromat since I was a younger adult. I was specifically looking for one that uses an app like Pay Range or something similar, but my search turned up nothing. This particular establishment popped up on my search and it was advertised that most of their machines accept credit or debit cards. This definitely caught my eye so I decided to go and give it a shot. My biggest concern was the cleanliness and the safety of the area, as I read many bad reviews of OTHER laundromats with those being the top two concerns and complaints. This location is in a small strip mall tied into a Kroger. I was first super impressed with the fact that they have a door that will automatically open for you which was great because my hands were absolutely full. When I walked in, the floors were clean, the machines were clean and they had a decent number of various size machines available to accommodate all of your needs. I won’t lie, I don’t sort my clothes so I was looking for a machine to fit all of my clothes into. I utilized two – four load washing machines, and payed using my debit card (love this!). After I started the washing machines, I went to the bathroom – which was very clean; even the mirror! I then wanted to get a drink and a snack out of their vending machines (they have three). But, to my disappointment, the vending machines do NOT accept debit or credit cards – cash and/or coin only (thank goodness for Kroger being there). Now comes the good details that I gathered (the costs for everything – keep in mind that certain options could raise the price – I’m only providing the base prices):
2 loads washer – $3.50
4 loads washer – $6.00
6 loads washer – $8.25
8 loads washer – $10.50
Dryers are priced at $0.25 for 6 minutes.
***TAKE NOTE: If you use a credit or debit card, it will put a temporary hold on the amount of $15.00, which will be adjusted to the amount you actually used – much like how a lot of gas stations do their gas pumps. There’s a big sign hanging from the ceiling near the entrance.
I will definitely continue to utilize this particular establishment. The dryer got all of my clothes (about 3 loads worth in one machine) dry with only having to pay for one hour. The young lady that was on duty was nice, she smiled and she was working hard – she was cleaning the machines using a very good using a brush to clean the part where you put all of your cleaning chemicals. She definitely cared about the presentation of where she is working. Clean, friendly and great machines at a fair price. My only recommendation – update the vending machines to also accept credit or debit cards!
UPDATE (09/21/2024)
The owner replied that the vending machines was going to be updated to be able to take credit/debit cards when I initially wrote this review. I have been back two times since then, with today being the most recent and none of the three vending machines can accept debit/credit cards- STILL – even though it’s been two months since my initial review. There have been upgrades to the washers and dryers taking credit and debit cards with a system that is called FasCard. You can download an app to your smartphone, create an account and use their FasCard machine on the wall close to the attendants desk to add money to your account. You can then use the app by scanning the QR code on the new screens at the machines to start the machine or add more time. Using this method will also prevent you having to have multiple $15.00 temporary holds on your card like the old system made you do. I do like this upgrade. Oh, and the prices for everything have gone up. The new prices are as follows:
2 loads washer – 4.00
3 loads washer – 5.50
4 loads washer – 7.00
6 loads washer – 9.50
8 loads washer – 12.00
I guess I’ll continue to walk over to Kroger to get my snack and drink to have while I’m doing laundry.

Usually I don’t have complaints about this business as ive been there several times, I went in this past Sunday and by accident put my money in the wrong dryer..when I realized what I had done I told the gentleman that was working there, and he just threw up his hands and i was like you can’t help me right and he nodded his head like yeah, I had to walk to Kroger to get cash back to continue, I don’t understand why he just couldn’t give me 6 quarters to start the machine, the money is still staying in that business so I don’t get it.Jump laundry on 86th street twice has just handed me quarters for the machine, when they couldn’t give me change for my bills..If he would of said something like “I’m really sorry, but I can’t, bosses rules” I would get it but he literally never said a word, just threw up his hands and then nodded his head, oh well, just not good customer service.
I was unable to switch to that dryer because someone else had their clothes in the dryer, and i had already hit start, the customer with that dryer didn’t come back until I was done and i explained to him what happened and he offered me my money but I didn’t take it.

I’m moving and had to wash everything before we move out, this was the 1st time I’ve been to a laundromat in years and the staff were very friendly. Both ladies who were there were nice to me and my daughter. The one who was there when I first arrived made sure I knew about the discounted washers and helped me when I needed it(coins got stuck). The 2nd lady that came in offered popcorn and was very polite when I asked about the prices of bags. Washers and dryers worked great!

I go here to do my every other month rug cleaning and mylarge comforter cleaning. It is always extremely clean. The staff is very nice. They have chairs and tables with plenty of outlets so that I can work on my computer while my laundry is washing. They take cash and you can pay over an app as well.

We’ve been coming here for a year now and everything has been pretty good until the last few recent trips on top of the staff using the washers for their personal laundry and taking all of the large ones leaving none for the customers, she was rude and inattentive repeatedly having to try to get her attention while on her phone playing. On top of that, she hustle made me feel as if I was bothering her when asking a simple question. I extremely disappointed in the service also causing us to waste $15 because on top of taking the majority of the largest washers she also claimed the dryers as well It’s just sad to see employees be able to take advantage of a facility where paying customers can’t even utilize. Hoping owner reaches out.

Absolutely pleasant experience. Decided friday night about seven o’clock to clean my blankets. Called the coin laundry. They were open and close time matched internet search. Since covid, a lot of these places close at will. IT. was clean fresh. Staff was helpful.Wonderful and just free to chat if you wanted to. It was patrons there, but not super busy. They popped fresh popcorn for the people that were there did not feel rushed.I was done right at closing time. I hadn’t been here in years. Glad to see that there’s still a a good place to do laundry in the area. I drove a bit to get here, but was not disappointed. Also, the washer and dryers were wonderful. The dryer dried quickly. Bree

Consultations and Legal Guidance
A civil attorney in Indianapolis can provide initial consultations to understand the facts, identify applicable laws, and outline a case strategy. This early step helps clients gauge potential outcomes, costs, and timelines. They explain procedural options, risks, and likely next steps, translating complex concepts into understandable terms. A skilled attorney supports informed decision-making by outlining practical paths and expected milestones.
Contract Drafting and Review
In business and private contexts, civil attorneys perform contract drafting and contract review, ensuring terms are clear, obligations balanced, and risk allocation is appropriate. They identify ambiguous clauses, oversight issues, and potential legal exposure. Thorough drafting can prevent disputes, while detailed review helps enforce rights and remedies. Attorneys may also negotiate terms with opposing parties to reach neutral and enforceable agreements.
Dispute Resolution and Mediation
For disagreements outside court, there is emphasis on dispute resolution, mediation, and arbitration. A civil attorney can facilitate negotiations, draft settlement agreements, and help preserve professional or personal relationships while protecting legal rights. When necessary, they can prepare for mediation sessions, gather evidence, and present compelling arguments to reach a fair resolution. They also explain the implications of mediated outcomes and ensure enforceability of deals.
Civil Litigation and Case Management
When litigation is necessary, civil attorneys oversee civil litigation from complaint to verdict. They coordinate pleadings, manage discovery, handle motion practice, and supervise trial preparation and strategy. They build persuasive arguments, supervise expert witnesses, and navigate court procedures to advance clients' rights. Clients receive guidance through deadlines, filings, and record-keeping requirements.
Property and Real Estate Disputes
Property matters include real estate disputes such as title issues, boundary disputes, financing problems, and landlord-tenant conflicts. A civil attorney can review deeds, liens, and surveys, and advocate for remedies in court or through negotiation. They help with eviction filings, lease interpretation, and enforcement of rental agreements. The aim is to protect property rights and facilitate smooth resolutions for all parties involved.
Personal Injury and Claims Processing
In personal injury contexts, the attorney can handle claims evaluation, gather evidence, coordinate with medical experts, and pursue damages including medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering. They guide clients through the claims process, negotiate with insurers, and determine whether to pursue settlement or litigation. They assess liability, causation, and the strength of the case to maximize outcomes while minimizing stress for the client.
Employment Law and Workplace Rights
Employment matters cover employment law disputes such as wage and hour claims, discrimination, harassment, and unlawful termination. The attorney can advise on compliance with state and federal laws, draft workplace policies, and represent clients in administrative complaints. They negotiate settlements or pursue lawsuits when necessary, aiming to protect rights and foster fair workplaces. They also assist with contract-based employment matters, non-compete issues, and severance negotiations.
Family Law and Domestic Relations
In family law contexts, the civil attorney may handle divorce, child custody, child support, and spousal support. They provide guidance through the emotional and financial complexities, help gather and organize evidence, and advocate for the best interests of children. They negotiate settlements or litigate to secure durable arrangements, and they address related issues such as property division and post-divorce modifications when appropriate.
Frequently asked questions about laundries in Indianapolis
What types of laundry services are commonly offered in Indianapolis laundries?
In Indianapolis, laundries typically offer a mix of self-serve washers and dryers, wash-and-fold (drop-off), dry cleaning for certain fabrics, and sometimes commercial laundry services for businesses. A few facilities also provide ironing or pressing services and special handling for delicate fabrics. Customer needs vary, and most locations clearly label what items qualify for each service.
Are there self-serve washers and dryers available?
Yes, many laundries in Indianapolis provide coin-operated or card-operated machines with a range of sizes. You can typically pay with credit or debit cards, and some locations offer mobile payment options. Detergent and fabric softener may be available on site, though some customers bring their own supplies for longer loads.
How is pricing typically structured at laundries in Indianapolis?
Pricing commonly depends on the machine size and service type. Expect per-load charges for self-serve washes and per-pound or per-bag rates for wash-and-fold services. Extra services such as drying, folding, or special care for delicate fabrics may incur additional fees. It's wise to review posted pricing and any discounts or loyalty programs at the location.
Do laundries offer wash-and-fold or drop-off services?
Many laundries offer wash-and-fold for customers who prefer to drop off items and return later. This service is convenient for busy households and often involves pre-sorting and folding to standard sizes. Some facilities also provide express drop-off with same-day or next-day turnaround, depending on capacity and demand.
What payment methods are accepted?
Most Indianapolis laundries accept cash, credit/debit cards, and contactless payments. A growing number also accepts mobile wallets or a dedicated loyalty app. If you plan a trip, it’s helpful to check the facility’s posted payment options in advance.
What are typical hours of operation and when is the best time to visit?
Hours vary by location, with many facilities open during early mornings to late evenings and some offering weekend access. If you want to avoid crowds, try mid-day weekdays or early mornings. Some stores post holiday hours and occasional maintenance closures, so a quick check of the location’s schedule is recommended.
Do Indianapolis laundries offer eco-friendly or energy-saving practices?
Many facilities use high-efficiency machines that reduce water and energy use. Some locations feature low-temperature washing cycles and energy-conscious drying options. Look for laundries that advertise eco-friendly detergents or recycling programs for hangers and bags.
Is parking available and is the location accessible?
Parking availability varies by site, with some laundries offering ample on-site parking and others located near street parking. Accessibility is a key consideration; many facilities provide ramps, level entrances, and accessible restrooms, making it easier for customers with mobility needs.
How long does typical turnaround take for common services?
For drop-off wash-and-fold, turnaround is often 24 to 48 hours, though some locations offer same-day or next-day service when capacity allows. Self-serve cycles are completed in a single visit, usually within 30 to 60 minutes per load depending on machine size and load. Always ask for an estimated time when you drop off items.
What should I do to prepare items for drop-off?
To prepare, start with careful sorting by color and fabric type, and check pockets for items or valuables. Place items in a clean bag or basket and label them if needed. Remove pet hair, check for garment care labels, and point out special needs such as wool, silk, or delicate items. If you have items that require dry cleaning or stain treatment, notify the staff so they can plan accordingly.
