Customer Reviews
I haven’t been to a laundromat since I was a younger adult. I was specifically looking for one that uses an app like Pay Range or something similar, but my search turned up nothing. This particular establishment popped up on my search and it was advertised that most of their machines accept credit or debit cards. This definitely caught my eye so I decided to go and give it a shot. My biggest concern was the cleanliness and the safety of the area, as I read many bad reviews of OTHER laundromats with those being the top two concerns and complaints. This location is in a small strip mall tied into a Kroger. I was first super impressed with the fact that they have a door that will automatically open for you which was great because my hands were absolutely full. When I walked in, the floors were clean, the machines were clean and they had a decent number of various size machines available to accommodate all of your needs. I won’t lie, I don’t sort my clothes so I was looking for a machine to fit all of my clothes into. I utilized two - four load washing machines, and payed using my debit card (love this!). After I started the washing machines, I went to the bathroom - which was very clean; even the mirror! I then wanted to get a drink and a snack out of their vending machines (they have three). But, to my disappointment, the vending machines do NOT accept debit or credit cards - cash and/or coin only (thank goodness for Kroger being there). Now comes the good details that I gathered (the costs for everything - keep in mind that certain options could raise the price - I’m only providing the base prices):
2 loads washer - $3.50
4 loads washer - $6.00
6 loads washer - $8.25
8 loads washer - $10.50
Dryers are priced at $0.25 for 6 minutes.
***TAKE NOTE: If you use a credit or debit card, it will put a temporary hold on the amount of $15.00, which will be adjusted to the amount you actually used - much like how a lot of gas stations do their gas pumps. There’s a big sign hanging from the ceiling near the entrance.
I will definitely continue to utilize this particular establishment. The dryer got all of my clothes (about 3 loads worth in one machine) dry with only having to pay for one hour. The young lady that was on duty was nice, she smiled and she was working hard - she was cleaning the machines using a very good using a brush to clean the part where you put all of your cleaning chemicals. She definitely cared about the presentation of where she is working. Clean, friendly and great machines at a fair price. My only recommendation - update the vending machines to also accept credit or debit cards!
UPDATE (09/21/2024)
The owner replied that the vending machines was going to be updated to be able to take credit/debit cards when I initially wrote this review. I have been back two times since then, with today being the most recent and none of the three vending machines can accept debit/credit cards- STILL - even though it’s been two months since my initial review. There have been upgrades to the washers and dryers taking credit and debit cards with a system that is called FasCard. You can download an app to your smartphone, create an account and use their FasCard machine on the wall close to the attendants desk to add money to your account. You can then use the app by scanning the QR code on the new screens at the machines to start the machine or add more time. Using this method will also prevent you having to have multiple $15.00 temporary holds on your card like the old system made you do. I do like this upgrade. Oh, and the prices for everything have gone up. The new prices are as follows:
2 loads washer - 4.00
3 loads washer - 5.50
4 loads washer - 7.00
6 loads washer - 9.50
8 loads washer - 12.00
I guess I’ll continue to walk over to Kroger to get my snack and drink to have while I’m doing laundry.
Update: apparently the dryers turn off at 10:25. A sign would be nice. One star rating stands. Being clear on when machines are automatically locked is useful information.
