My wife and I are grateful to BGI Fitness for providing excellent service recently in relation to a stationary cycle malfunction. (We had purchased the five-year-old cycle from an online vendor – not BGI Fitness; we sought BGI's assistance, remembering our previous good experience, when they resolved a treadmill walking belt/deck problem for us.) I submitted an assistance request/inquiry by means of the form in the Fitness Equipment Services section of the BGI website. Preston responded promptly by phone, helping me to understand the likely cause of the cycle problem, advising me how I could save money obtaining the part that needed to be replaced, and scheduling an appointment for a home visit by a technician. On the appointment day, Phil called me to confirm his expected arrival time and, upon arriving, worked skillfully and efficiently. He was personable and kind, explaining to my wife and me what he had done and even taking time to resolve an unrelated problem that he had noticed while replacing the part that had malfunctioned. We were delighted, and we recommend BGI's Fitness Equipment Services to others enthusiastically.

There was a great selection of bikes, from budget options to expert – all of great quality! Sam kindly answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable about products. I liked that I was able to test ride a couple bikes before making a decision, and that I could put in a special order with the store easily if needed. Excellent local bike shop. First they have tons of bikes on hand for sale that lets you try them out before purchasing. That, and everything on hand for bike maintenance. Second, they have every accessory you'll need for your cycling adventures. But mostly, they have an excellent shop that is fast and friendly.

Great bikes. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. BGI is so easy to work with. I live an hour away, so I was able to buy my bike over the phone during their tent sale. They held it over the weekend until I could drive down to pick it up. I test rode it, got all my questions answered, and I was on my way. Great experience all around!

I've been looking at getting a nice full suspension mountain bike for a while. My local bike store did not have much inventory at all, and nothing close to what I was looking for. So went to check this bike store out. They had a very large store with a lot of inventory to choose from. I found several mountain bikes that were nice. They let me take one out for a quick test ride, and absolutely fell in love with this electric full suspension mountain bike. I definitely plan on going back to find a bike for my little girl, as soon as she outgrows the one she's on. I would recommend anyone in central indiana stop in at this bike store before making a purchase somewhere else.

What a fun experience for a Bach party! Our driver was Nick! He was chill, fun, and funny! He made sure our group was not only safe during our experience, but always having a good time, even on a Tuesday night when the bars were not up to hype.

We chose The Pickled Pedaler for my daughter's 21st Birthday. We had the absolute best time. Nick was our driver and he was awesome. He helped us create the perfect party atmosphere! We had karaoke and played a drinking game. I highly recommend.

Was skeptical when my buddy told me he booked this for his birthday, the whole concept just seemed kind of odd and not what we usually went out to do. We're more of a bar hopping, top golf, concert kind of group. I could not have been more wrong!!! This was an awesome experience, our driver, Grant, was super awesome. You could tell he enjoyed doing what he does and created a great atmosphere from the second we showed up. We were able to play our own music, Grant gave us a drinking game to play throughout the ride, and made a few stops at a couple of bars he recommended. Could not have been more happy with the experience, all of our group kept mentioning how much fun it was and we really enjoyed ourselves. It was a great time especially thanks to our driver, he sealed the deal. Super down to earth, did his job amazingly well, and made us feel right at home!! Met who was either the owner operator or manager when we got back and he was just as great of a guy from the short chat we had. Thank you Grant and the others at pickle for the most fun we've had in quite a while without a doubt 10/10 would recommend and we will hopefully be back in the near future. We did this for my husbands 40th birthday! Nick was our driver! Super fun energy, took us everywhere we wanted to go! We had the very best time! We would go again in a minute!

Fun experience, but extremely overpriced. Paying $450 felt excessive for what you get… the overall value felt closer to $100. You can find cheaper bar bike options that offer the same experience. It’s also BYOB, and you regularly get off the bike to stop at bars along the route. Honestly, you’d get a very similar experience by walking or driving around downtown with friends, playing music on a Bluetooth speaker, and hopping between bars. That said, the driver was great and made the ride enjoyable. Just wanted to be transparent… there are much cheaper ways to have the same kind of fun.

I purchased a tricycle for my wife, but the chain proved too short. A visit to the South Side location revealed a highly knowledgeable and helpful associate name Mr Rick, who made the repair process exceptionally pleasant. Despite a four-week appointment backlog, he prioritized my request and provided exceptional service, which I greatly appreciate.

So happy I contacted Grey Goat Bicycles. Got a great deal on an outstanding bike. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They were patient and didn't press me for the sale. I look forward to many more visits for upgrades.

I am beyond happy that I stopped in at Gray Goat Bicycle Co. on Southport rd. This homeless man in my neighborhood had his bicycle stolen along with his backpack of his belongings. I explained this to Michael at the shop and he said to come on in. He had a bike they were using for parts and fixed it up and let me purchase it for what it took to get it running! There was another kind hearted man who overheard the story and went half with me!! I highly recommend and wish more people had hearts like these men!! Check him out! We made his year!

I love this shop! I’ve had my awesome gravel bike for about 5 years, and all upgrades and repairs have been done through this shop. The staff are great help and give many options regardless of your budget.

Austin was super friendly and helped get me set up with a trial bike, even attempted to hook my 5 yr old up (too short, maybe next time)! Didn't hover, let us explore the parking lot on our own. Ended up purchasing said bike! Not pushy at all for the sale even as close to closing as we did.

Went to them for my tire to be aired up as well. They over aired up the tire and the tire blew up. I called BGI OF Indy who replaced my tire and fixed the lining all for $20 where as Gray Goat representative could not air my tire up in one day I had to leave it over night. When I tried to ride the bike after 3 peddles the tire blew out. They charged me $21.09 to PUT AIR IN A TIRE THAT THEY AIRED UP INCORRECTLY AND CAUSED IT TO BLOW OUT. I will NEVER RECOMMEND YOU ALL. The service department here is top notch. They performed a warranty repair for me and kept me updated on issues through the whole replacement. I have had tires installed here in the past. The mechanics were quick, and helped me select a set when the ones I wanted were out of stock. BGI is very supportive of the Indy bicycling community, so that is an added bonus on to of their great mechanics and service.

Liam tuned up and replaced a few parts on my 13 year old bike. It rides like a dream now! I can’t believe how smooth and silent it is. The customer service from Liam and Nathan was wonderful. Nathan also helped my children find new helmets. He was great at making sure they got properly. Both Liam and Nathan were very friendly and professional. I love the downtown BGI. I am always happing stepping into that store.

TL;DR the new shop on Roosevelt has awesome staff who are responsive, knowledgeable, and patient with questions. I highly recommend them for bikers of all skill levels. Had bolts falling off my rear brakes that I noticed were stripped. The online appt scheduler was 2+ weeks out and I had an upcoming vacay that I wanted to take my bike on, so I called the shop and spoke with Max. He had immediate knowledge of the brake issue with my Trek and told me to swing by with the bike same-day. He must've been on break or something because he immediately lifted the bike and started inspecting it even though I noticed plenty of bikes needed to be worked on; his diagnosis over the phone was correct, looked up my BGI purchase in their system and saw it was under warranty, ordered new parts and told me they'd call or text when it was ready. The only delay was the brake manufacturer's shipping (over 1 week) because the parts were delivered and installed the same-day by BGI. I was really impressed and so happy I got to take my bike up to Michigan later that weekend. Thank you, Max and thank you BGI!!

Great staff who are always kind and patient with me when I bring my e-bike in for work.

I literally have no clue about bikes- I just know my tires kept deflating. I walked in and told a very nice employee that I suspected there were holes and he let me know he would try putting new tubes in. He was very helpful about what exactly he would do and the cost, and it took only 20 minutes! He very kindly adjusted my handle bars as well and it felt like a brand new bike!

Friendly knowledgeable staff along with reasonable prices on bicycle accessories gets my vote for great service to Indianapolis Indiana and the Monon trail enthusiasts.

I rode 3 miles to Bicycle Garage on a flat tire. Sean fixed it immediately even though I didn’t have an appointment and got me on my way. Quality and professionalism of service is 10/10!

Getting a paddle boat so our dogs could join us was so much fun! It’s a great activity to do when visiting Indy. The process of getting and returning the boat was quick and easy.

What a great concept! We had lots of fun. Felt like we were rowing in a european city! The price is right. You will be on the goose boat for 1 hour and I do warn you, you have to be in shape to paddle as you will grow tired soon (me). My wife and my daughter enjoyed this!

So much fun! Parking was a little hard to find, we ended up in the garage for $15. There was a lot of construction between the garage abe the walk down to the boats. We did the sunset cruise on the swan paddle boats.

You could be paddling!! 😁 Okay, I was in downtown Indy with my son celebrating my birthday, yay birthday! 😉 & after a fun filled day, a friend suggested this place to us… I am soooo glad that they did!! First, the people there are absolutely great! Super friendly and patient! They explain everything you need to know, and then your adventure begins! 😀 Make sure you watch out for the baby ducks! We had a few ducks following us around. It was adorable! We had a wonderful time. It was very beautiful and peaceful. Everyone on the water was very respectful of one another. It was a lovely end to a wonderful day, and I look forward to coming back soon!! Side note: There is Not a restroom facility nearby. So, if you have little ones with you, or just a wee bladder, you might want to stop someplace with a public restroom on the way.

I occasionally walk along the canal, but today I made a special stop at Wheel Fun Rentals to gather information for an upcoming visit with our grandkids. The staff members were friendly and helpful. They are currently open 7 days a week, but recommended checking their website for current hours as the season begins to wind down. I've also included a few photos of the canal route and hope this information is helpful for anyone looking to spend some time on the canal. A great place to visit!

Excellent place for a calm and easy kayaking experience. Good place for new comers to get their kayak legs. If you feel someone in your group needs a Personal Flotation Device, bring one. These are not provided here.

This was an experience that I did not enjoy so much. The swan boats were difficult to steer at times making you go in directions that you didn’t want to go. The scenery was nice, enjoyed that part. I’d probably go again ONLY if I am not peddling and steering in that case the boat can go whichever way it wants lol. Great experience for children, family and tourists.

These guys are the best! I was trying to find a shop who would help me out with an old school klunker project and Freewheelin knocked it out of the park. Extremely knowledgeable, great rates, and all around just a fun group to work with with. Will definitely be a repeat customer here!

They offer classes for kids to learn about their bikes, as well as social, emotional, and practical skill development for diverse learners. I got a flat tire on my bicycle while on the Monon, took it to Freewheelin’ and Aaron Short not only fixed my flat, but I walked out with another great bicycle at an even more amazing price! I didn’t realize that like cars, some bikes have lifespans as well and when it’s time to upgrade, it’s time to UPGRADE. Aaron explained all this to me and I am so satisfied with my new bicycle. I went in to have the clip on my seat replaced. He only charged $5 and also adjusted my rear brakes. So, I bought a seat from him as well, which he installed the seat was $40 . I paid him $52 Dollars and told him to keep the change. His customer service was top notch!!

Given the knowledge and helpful attitude I engaged one of the owners in a discussion related to an upcoming video on my YouTube channel. Time well spent. Good line of enthusiast-level products from respected brands at competitive prices. Really a nice shop.

I came to The Bike Line to have some components installed on my road bike. I normally work on my own equipment, but I didn't have the specific tool for this job and figured I would bring it to a shop. The team was very communicative when I brought the bike in and ensured that the work they would do was what I wanted. All of my questions were answered clearly. They also gave me a quote below that of other shops I contacted. The repair was completed by the next day to the expected standards. When I picked it up, I also had the tech tighten the rivnuts on my downtube for a small extra charge – he explained what he was doing and how to prevent the issue in the future. Overall, it as a very good experience and I would bring my bike there again!

Pick my new Trek Verve 3 Disc Low Step, on November 28,2025, finally the weather improved and I was able to ride it on December 20 ,2025, unfortunately the front derailer wouldn't shift, and the rear hydraulic brake has small leak and needs bleeding! all that should be corrected at delivery/assembly. Will take the bike tomorrow to BGI for corrections, DO NOT want to come beck to the Bike Line due to above experience, Sincerely, Matthew Florczyk Order no.: 75583250

What a great repair, and at a reasonable price! I developed a loud creak in the bottom bracket of my 30 year old mountain bike. I brought it to the Bike Line and they quickly diagnosed the issue, and were very friendly while doing so! They treated me like an old friend, and they treated my bike as if it were their own. The repair was completed quicker than I expected, and for what I consider to be a very reasonable price. I wish I had brought my bike to them sooner. It is now quieter and smoother than it has ever been. There seems to be absolutely no friction anywhere in the drive train. It really is better now than it was when it was new. Amazing. Everyone I dealt with was knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you Bike Line!

My wife loves this place. Admittedly, I don't have the same attachment, but they've never done me wrong. Always polite, professional, efficient and competent. Prices are a bit high, but it's a bike shop in Broad Ripple. I'm surprised it's not higher. Trust them with your bike, they'll do good work

I had an amazing experience at The Bike Line. I called to order a very specific bike. Charlie took the time to talk about another bike that I had not considered. I rushed in at the last minute and managed to get perfect service with good prices, including the helmet. The staff seems to be a big family, also with a bar next door. Matt recommended their ginger beer – which was a spot on! Matt also told me he was an ancient founder of @BikePartyIndianapolis (in Facebook or Insta). They still have monthly rides and next one in 6 days!

Just wanted to give a giant shout out and thank you to Bike People! Matt and his team took my 10 year old bike and spruced it up better than I could have ever expected. I rode this bike everywhere when I was 19 and without a car, later sold it to a friend for his wife and got her back a couple of weeks ago when they made the jump to Oregon. Today was my second time visiting the shop but this time for a shifter cable repair. Even though it was close to closing time, they got it fixed up in no time for a fair price and even let me watch so I could see the repair process. The staff were knowledgeable and the environment was laidback but still professional. Being right next to Natural State Provisions is also a huge plus that allowed us to support two local businesses effortlessly. I will definitely be back for all my bike needs!

As someone who hadn’t ridden a bike in over 20 years, I was a little nervous — but the electric bikes were incredibly easy to maneuver and so much fun to ride! Scot and Cathy, the wonderful owners, made the entire experience smooth, welcoming, and memorable. Their kindness and passion for what they do really shines through. I'm new to Indy, so solving the clues and discovering local landmarks added an extra layer of excitement. Chatting with Scot and Cathy to see if we guessed correctly made our victories even sweeter! And of course, I can’t forget the real stars of the show — Hamilton and Schuyler, the adorable "employees of the month," who greeted us with wagging tails and made us feel right at home. I may be a little biased (our team did win, after all 😄), but this was hands down one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had. I enjoyed a great afternoon with colleagues on a guided e-bike tour! The owner, Scott, was our tour guide and did an amazing job teaching us the basics of riding electric bicycles and leading us through hidden gems of downtown Indy. We learned so much about our city and were impressed at how fast time flew! 2 hours with a brewery stop was perfect. In addition to guided tours, they offer individual bicycle rentals with maps of the cultural trail provided, fun corporate events, and retail. There are 4 bike style options and rentals include helmet, smartphone mount, and attached storage pack for wallet, beverages, etc. The tour definitely surpassed my expectations!

First time to Indianapolis. We own 2 Pedegos so familiar with excellent brand quality and ride experience. Rented 2 Pedego e-bikes, and also "rented" Scot, who gave us a wonderful personalized tour of Indianapolis, then we spent time on our own on Monon Trail. Never realized how much history there is to Indianapolis – and so many stories to hear. Cathy was wonderful in helping to set everything up. Plus an added bonus, we got to feed and pet their two dogs! Great bikes, great tour, great people. Check ‘em out!

My husband and I were planning our retirement and one of the things we knew we wanted to do is buy two e-bikes and spend lots of time on them. My husband spent over a year researching practically every e-bike made but we couldn't feel comfortable purchasing online with no one to help us with questions and service, and buying bikes with no, or a short warranty. The clouds parted the day we walked into Scot & Cathy's Pedego store! Scot spent over an hour with us, patiently answering all our questions and concerns. We left the store knowing we had found the brand of bike that was right for us and the people to buy them from! When we returned to pick out our colors and options, Scot and Cathy once again patiently answered every question, helped us pick all of our options until we have picked out the perfect bike for each of us. They wanted us to be happy and comfortable with our purchase, never making us feel hurried. We have high quality bikes, with five-year warranties, and a store we can bring them back to for any help or service we need. Honestly, we consider it a blessing to have found Scot & Cathy and our gorgeous new Pedego bikes. They have gone above and beyond to provide the most amazing purchasing experiences we've ever experienced. We truly feel like family and even though we live an hour away, we plan to bring our Pedegos and join their e-bike gatherings!

I called Scott at Pedego to inquire about a tandem for my son and I. We have been riding a traditional Tandem for years. After talking on the phone, my wife and i went up to the shop to view the tandem and ask questions. Scott and his wife were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Hayden and I have already put almost 100 miles on the new Pedego tandem and absolutely love it. I've been riding road bikes and mountains bikes for years and absolutely love the build quality if this Pedego Tandem.

Great way to see the canal. Very friendly staff. Large variety of bikes. They even made sure our bike was in perfect working order. An hour doesn't seem like long, but its the perfect amount of time. Lots of places to take a break in the shade.

So much fun! Employees were kind and helpful and we got our afternoon workout (albeit very easy workout) in on the choppers. Perfect day exploring Indy!

The staff at the agency were extremely helpful and thorough in meeting my needs. They offer reasonable prices, even considering the major events occurring during the weekend I rented, though I suggest to definitely effort to reach out early to secure the best rates. Biking is a far more preferable option to the other forms of transportation in the area, and allows for the opportunity to traverse the hundreds of miles of bike and walking trails Indianapolis & Marion County has to offer.

A fun, easy going, affordable family friendly activity, walking distance to the historical society which is fabulous. We enjoyed the sights and did the hour tour. Would love to go again in the fall maybe.

Family Reunion! We rented 2 quad bikes and 3 singles. We rode all around the canal. Beautiful views, cool breezes, great conversations.
