FERRET FAWCETT

So place seems to check out. As a verified person who has not been paid for a review in a seriousness the facilities are seemingly clean with real people , chef, dishwashers and very comfortable beds alongwith curriculum as a main dish. Enjoy. Two thumbs up

I love ARC! I have learned tools to help me stay clean, that I have learned no where else. The Techs are awesome especially Ronnie, Alicia, Reann and Ashley! They are all extremely respectful and helpful. I love this place if I ever need residential again. Ronnie is awesome I definitely recommend it!

This is my first time in rehab for alcohol and other substances. I was originally scared of coming here because I thought it would be ran like a facility but it’s not. It has a home setting which while detoxing is a big help. Not feeling stressed about all the thing that would stress one. I highly recommend coming to ARC if you need the help. Amazing staff and great friends who are going through the same things. The staff have also been through addiction which makes it a lot better because they understand what we are going through because they once went through it aswell.

My experience at ARC has been life-saving. I believe ARC provides the tools and resources to help people who have nowhere else to go, or just aren’t sure where to begin their recovery journey. From the chef-prepared meals, to caring and compassionate staff, ARC has safely helped me stop drinking. Medical services on-site are high quality and reliable. Seriously, just give it a thought. It is the fresh start for the rest of my life. I can see the difference, and feel like I can see myself in the mirror again.

Kimberly Crouse

Staff don't like to clean patient if they use the restroom on themself, left the patient in feces 2 times for an hour each which led to ANOTHER infection. Was given orange juice for low sugar only for a nurse to try and give insulin right after. It was brought to their attention and the day after the patient was transported to Methodist

The respiratory team is incredible. The physical therapy is incredible. The doctors are great. A few good nurses, and a few good CNA. One nurse, Sydney, didn't know that I was on the phone with my son, and she was screaming at him because she is lazy and didn't want to do her job. His bag was leaking and she had to do work. She literally screamed at him like he was trash. Shout out to a few great nurses, Diane and Cris. I know a few more are great, but I didn't get all their names. The CNA's during the day, great. Night ones, pure lazy. Respiratory team got my son off the ventilator in no time. Unbelievable. I have mixed feelings about this place. Some good and professional people working there, and some that shouldn't have a job working around any human being.

My son has been at this hospital for two weeks now, we live in Greencastle over an hour away. Each time I have came into visit my son, he is always well taken care of. He seems to be getting better as well. From the house keeping staff to the doctors everyone has been pleasantly helpful in making sure my son recovery is successful.

This was my daughter's second admittance at Kindred downtown this year. We had a few bumps, but all in all it was a great experience. I want to recognize several that were involved with my daughter's care and many that went above and beyond. Let me start with the nurses…Jenessa and Ruben are two of my favorites and showed so much compassion with my daughter. Elizabeth D. was the only one that called me when I was away and provided me an update, and she too showed so much compassion. Carmen was a nurse that I had met for the first time and I just absolutely loved her. She had the perfect attitude and really knew how to handle this protective mama. Let's just say, she knew what to say to me(thank you Carmen for your understanding). Deja H, Latrice, Russ, Sarah, Cheryl, Kasia, Brittney, Janelle all were wonderful with my daughter and provided great care! Charge Nurses, Amy and Nicole both came and spoke with me and understood any concerns that I had and addressed them promptly. A huge shout out to "Sunday" from Respiratory. He was extraordinaire! He was so gentle with my daughter when providing treatment. Also Jason Teltoe went above and beyond to assist me with questions, etc. I also want to mention techs, Brandon, Evenie and Debony as these three were amazing in making sure that my daughter was well cared for. I also want to recognize wound care, Shannon and Kelsey. Shannon removed the sutures, and Kelsey kept an eye out to make sure my daughter was safe from any wounds. Paula in Nutrition was amazing and came and spoke to me on several occasions to make sure that my daughter's dietary needs were met. Jennifer J is one of the sweetest. She came to the room and answered my questions and assisted me with my daughter when I needed her. I also had a great experience with Case Management. Nancy listened to all of my concerns and my goals for discharge and she addressed them promptly and secured a seamless transition for discharge. The Director of Case Management, Allison, went out of her way on several occasions to assist me with many tasks and she also called after discharge to make sure that we had everything we needed. She is top notch! Last but not least, Charmaign in Rehab. She is exceptional!!! She continuously made sure that all aspects of rehab were met. Love her personality and enthusiasm. All of these wonderful healthcare professionals are led by an extraordinary team. CEO, Judy Weaver is an absolute gem. Not only does she know her role inside an out, but she goes above and beyond and assists these professionals when needed. She came to my daughter's room on multiple occasions and made sure that we had everything we needed and if we had any questions or anything she could assist with. Director of Quality, Lauren also jumped in on multiple occasions to assist however she could. Thank you Kindred for an amazing experience. I know that I am a tough mamma to work with and extremely protective but no mother should endure what I have this past year. So thank you Kindred team for your compassion and understanding!

I waited a really long time to make this post. My father was in a severe car accident in April and was at this establishment for 22 days after spending 18 in the icu. Multiple family members on multiple occasions found my father in his own urine. My father was a lot more capable than other patients and should have been treated that way, he was restrained for a period of time and it was understandable as he had a trach but towards then end of his stay it was to keep him from taking his catheter off (maybe that’s a sign to help him go to the bathroom? I’m no doctor though). He has a DIA and I felt like they didn’t try to interact with him just stick a TV infront of him.The biggest point I would like to make is the fact the case manager did not listen one bit and wasn’t concerned for my dad or his recovery at all, hell she barely spoke to him. We had an incident at the hospital of people trying to see him that would upset him, as his next of kin I tried to speak up and say no, the case manager did not listen even though not only my family but the nurses who took care of him agreed with us. My father was hallucinating and in and out of different time lines from his life and anyone who spent 5 minutes could tell he was still quite out of it. She deemed him fit and as expected his attitude was sour for the rest of the day. In all honesty I would have sued if she wasn’t quite literally gone that next Friday. It seems they are extremely understaffed and can’t keep a solid case management team. Out of all the nurses my father had two of them seemed to be the only ones to truly read his chart. I was severely disappointed my father’s stay here especially when I had heard such good things about it. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Never and I mean ever send someone you love here.

My time at Avenues flew by, and I had a great experience. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about recovery. I had a great time with my fellow recoverees and started learning how to socialize sober. There were groups 4 times a day, 7 days a week that helped me become knowledgeable about my disease and coping skills to counteract my stinking thinking. The kitchen food was good however they don't allow seconds 🙁 and you are allowed many smokes breaks a day and vapes are allowed as long as they are brand new in the packaging and you only use them outside during breaks. Overall a great place to begin your recovery.

Man I loved the Indy facility so much and the group facilitators made all the difference, thanks Robert!! The staff don't treat u like patients they make u feel like family. I was able to get out of really dark place inside my head while I was there and I found the man I was looking for. Met some really good men who I now consider brothers and still talk too since we graduated. Highly recommend to anyone serious about recovery. It works if u work it. I completed my 28 day program at Avenues and I feel like a completely different person from who I was walking in. I was nervous and they made me feel safe. The providers and bhts helped me feel more comfortable during my first week. My therapist, Valia was wonderful at listening and helping me through some issues. My case manger, Kat, helped me through some difficulties and helped me get into a program after here. I would not be sober today if not for this life-changing, life-saving experience. I owe today's sobriety to Avenues Recovery Program. Thank you all!:)

Avenue recovery and Indianapolis, was the best decision I've ever made. I don't know if I'm allowed to mention any names but every single soul that works there held me accountable and pushed me every day to be the best that I could be. I am now an alumni. I seriously cannot think all of you enough from the BHT's, to the therapist, to the group facilitators the directors, even the Kitchen staff I'm not saying you guys made avenues my home for 30 days because each and everyone of you, I am a healthy 30 year old man or starting life sober and happy. Huge stepping stone for my life. I’ve been to a lot of places in my history of addiction/recovery and this was the one place I actually felt like I was equal. The staff go above and beyond for legit anything you need or struggle with. I never once felt alone. Most places and people in recovery are there for a paycheck, this place? The absolute opposite. Dawg this was one of the scariest yet BEST decisions I made for my recovery journey as well as myself. The love and care is endless.

I had a great experience at ICFR, this experience definitely gave me the foundation to turn my life around. Although several of the staff members were outstanding, Collin and Shawn had to be my favorite due to there down to earth approach with a mix of the friend you need, not the person who always agrees with you. I highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of help.

Spark is a great place for people who want to get their lives together. They have taken me in as soon as I called. The clinical director was also one of the GREATEST people that has made me feel trusted and safe. She made me feel at home and she listens to me no matter what she has going on. I love my therapist also. He helped me get down to the bottom of my problems and he helps me find solutions without having to explode. They are very on demand and serious about everyone’s recovery. They help provide transportation to meetings that they feel will help us progress in recovery and they help in other aspects described as church , food pantries, grocery shopping and other things. I I don’t know where I would have been if it wasn’t for Spark. They help you stay on top of your medicine intake and providing you a clean and safe place to sleep and cook. I really love the environment and center. They helped me get back on track and stay focused. I’ve came so far just in the short amount of time I’ve been here. Thank you so much to all the staff here. I had an incredible experience at this recovery center, and I’m truly grateful for the care I received. From the moment I walked in, the staff treated me with compassion, respect, & genuine kindness. I had never been anywhere for treatment before, so I was pretty nervous. Every person I encountered was supportive & patient, they made me feel safe & understood during a very vulnerable time in my life. The environment is clean, peaceful, & uplifting… the kind of place where healing actually feels possible!! Everyone, from admissions… to cafeteria workers, janitorial staff, nurses, therapists, & RSS staff, goes above & beyond to meet your needs, answer your questions, and/or make sure you never feel alone in your journey. Their professionalism, dedication, & kindness are unmatched. I left feeling stronger, more grounded, and truly cared for. I highly recommend this center to anyone seeking real support and a fresh start. Thank you to the entire team for making such a positive impact on my life. 64 days sober and still counting!! 🙏💛

I was very nervous going into rehab at RCA but I was desperate to stop drinking. I knew I couldn’t do it on my own and they were recommended by someone I trusted, and I wasn’t in any shape to do my own research. The whole experience was well worth the effort and expense. Once I made the decision that I HAD to make a change, RCA stepped in to help me start down the path to sobriety. From helping me medically detox the first few days to giving me tools to maintain my sobriety once I left, they were the perfect place for me to seek help. The staff really seemed to care about me personally and I’m grateful for the effort they made to help me get better. The facility itself is fairly nice but that was just a bonus. Lastly, they have a great alumni program and it’s great to see people I was in the program with and continue to remind myself why sobriety is so important to maintain through the AA meetings they host. . I’m 1,328 days sober and I give a lot of credit to RCA for helping me achieve this.

This place is not what was explained when called nor anything it all what was expected, we were told upon admission that I would be contacted within 24-48 hours from a Dr or Therapist for my husband. After checking himself in for sobriety (AA) and mental health. He was there for 6 days and I still had not been contacted, I advised him to sign ama and we would pick him up as he was not receiving the care he needed. They were without hot water for days, within the 6 days he was there the fire alarm was set off 3 times. The place is very short staffed. You cannot get ahold of ANYONE no live agent, person dr. I had left multiple voice mails with no response, per my husband there were 3 Great individuals there Clarence, Rebecca and Precious. When my daughter and myself showed up to pick my husband up we were told he could not have any of his personal belongings such as his wallet & phone. They did allow him to take his clothes but would not even give him the bookbag he used to bring his belongings. Told us we would have to come back in 24 hours for that stuff. I did refuse to leave until we had his ID as it is the law for him to carry it. We left there and went to another facility as he was serious about getting help, to bad RCOA was not serious about providing that help. If I was you I would find another center/hospital for help especially if they need dual care.

My mother was a resident of this facility for almost 4 years. They did the bare minimum and the last few months of her life, I was fighting hard to get adequate medical care for her. She died May 26th due to their negligence. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT send your loved ones here. Update: If anyone wanted to speak to me they would contact me directly. They have my contact information. No one has contacted me since I came the day my mother died and cleared out her room.

It was a beautiful church service at the center. I really enjoyed TBC coming together to bring encouraging words to the residents. I had an amazing time. The residents enjoyed our being there. Everything was so beautifully decorated. I'm looking forward to another visit.

Every person who I encountered was pleasant and friendly. Everyone had a smile on their faces. The facility is nice, clean, and without odor. The residents appeared to be well cared for. The ambiance is great! This speaks volumes!

I initially had a slight problem getting my Dad into Westside Village. They went above and beyond to help me rectify the issue immediately. The Director even called me, twice, on a Saturday, to speak to me personally. The facility is the prettiest and cleanest I've ever seen and the staff is very friendly and professional. My father is in good hands!!!

This is what they're serving your loved ones. From my understanding this is a daily thing. The residents are not happy, satisfied, or well fed.

Physical therapists and occupational therapist were amazing everything else was terrible- food, cleanliness, getting medication, communication, discharge planning, and professionalism were all lacking. We went here since they work with amputees but wish we had gone elsewhere.

My sister Jeanne stayed at Creekside for several weeks. Everyone was great there. It seemed everyone was in a good mood, even the residents were saying hi to me as I passed by. I couldn’t have been more pleased knowing that she was well cared for.

Beautiful building and the rooms are really nice. The staff and the help are extremely helpful. The rehabilitation center is great they work with the patients. Very impressive to watch them work with my love one. The dining room is really nice and a great atmosphere. The tables are dressed up and the food is prepared and the food looks great. The staff is amazing when your love one needs something for pain they just push the button and the nurses or CNA or someone comes to the room. Awesome they treat you like family.

Debbie P. Went up and beyond by going out on her own time to purchase my needed diabetic liquid food as required by my docs orders from 1-30-26. What a blessed angel Debbie, job well done and I thank you! I was in rehab unit after surgery 1-22-26

*** Update. Sadly, when she said call me if you have any questions, call us anytime me or my staff can help you, she was not serious. Caller id is a curse, as it makes me wonder if they look at it and say…"well we did all we could, no sense in answering." Very sad, said they would phone in meds, didn't. Said she would contact us about the appeal, didn't. Overall, as soon as insurance stops, watch out for their foot on your backside, just as she said she would. If you are thinking of putting a loved one there-beware the photos online are old, and admittedly not updated on purpose. The photos for rehab are not on there at all, they will put you in the nursing/memory care area, and sadly not very clean. Great show when they want you to self pay, but not great at followup or returning phone calls. Very sad. Oh my goodness, where to start! Abbey was such a wonderful and compassionate resource for our family when my aunt was inpatient. Insurance can be so confusing and overwhelming she very patiently explained our options and answered all of our many questions, helping know what what we should expect going forward.

I greatly appreciate the staff's care while my mom was in Rehab. I especially want to thank the diligence of the Physical Therapist and team to ensure her strength increased and her home was safe to return to independently. I would also like to compliment the dietary staff. She was not eating much while in the hospital and told me she enjoyed the meals while here.

My grandmother was in rehab at this facility. There is a nurse there named Bri who I absolutely loved! She was so good with her patients from what I saw. Her caring attitude made me feel comfortable with my gma being there. Thoughtful, interactive staff really made our experience a great one! Thank you Bri!!!

KK is very helpful, She has been Invaluable in my education about diabetes. Always cheerful, respectful and efficient. I can rely on her to get back to me when she says she will, which often is not the case. She often goes to extra effort to make our stay more comfortable. The entire staff has been nothing but kind & helpful to me.

University heights is a very nice facility. Very friendly staff! They took excellent care of my aunt while she was there. Everyone was so nice and helpful! She felt very safe and very well taken care of while there! Would definitely recommend them for rehab or long term care! Excellent facility!

my mom receives care here. would not recommend. however: JAVONTE is star. he sets a high standard of care that others could arrive for. his compassionis ever present. he is calm, well loved and honestly, just the best. I'm my mom's POA, they consistently call another sibling they indicate issues will be addressed, but never are: simple things like not enough wash cloths, not enough briefs, missing clothing for extended periods. but also poor communication from clinical staff, they call from numbers that cannot be called back.

Frequently asked questions about rehabilitation centers in Indianapolis

What types of addiction treatment programs are typically offered at rehabilitation centers in Indianapolis?

Rehabilitation centers in Indianapolis commonly offer a range of treatment programs tailored to different levels of addiction and individual needs. These generally include detoxification, residential treatment, intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), and outpatient therapy. Some centers specialize in particular addictions, such as alcohol, opioid, or dual diagnosis (addiction alongside a mental health condition).

What does detoxification involve, and how long does it usually last?

Detoxification is the initial process of safely managing the withdrawal symptoms associated with substance dependence. It typically involves medically supervised administration of medications to alleviate symptoms like anxiety, nausea, and seizures. The length of detoxification varies greatly depending on the substance used, the severity of the addiction, and the individual's health. It can last from a few days to two weeks, with a thorough medical evaluation conducted throughout.

What is the role of therapy in rehabilitation?

Therapy is a central component of any successful rehabilitation program. Different types of therapy are utilized, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), group therapy, and individual therapy. Therapy helps clients understand the underlying causes of their addiction, develop coping mechanisms, and learn strategies for maintaining sobriety after completing the program. The focus is on behavior change and relapse prevention.

What are the different types of residential treatment programs?

Residential treatment offers a structured environment designed to support recovery. There are various types, including acute care residential for immediate detox needs, medically monitored residential which includes regular medical assessments and medication management, and therapeutic residential programs focusing on specific therapeutic approaches. The length of stay can vary from a few weeks to several months, depending on the individual’s progress.

What is an intensive outpatient program (IOP) like?

An intensive outpatient program provides therapy and support services on a less immersive scale than residential treatment. Clients attend treatment sessions several times a week, typically for 6-8 hours per day. IOPs can be a good option for individuals who require support but are able to live at home with family or friends. They often incorporate individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy components.

How does family involvement play a role in the rehabilitation process?

Family involvement is crucial for many clients’ success. Family therapy can help address dysfunctional family dynamics that may have contributed to the addiction. Support from family members can provide encouragement, accountability, and a sense of stability. Some programs offer family education sessions to equip families with the tools to support a loved one’s recovery journey. Participation is often a key element of a holistic approach.

What support services are typically offered beyond treatment?

Many rehabilitation centers in Indianapolis provide a range of support services to aid clients in their recovery. These may include nutritional counseling, fitness programs, vocational training, and case management. Access to these services can contribute significantly to overall well-being and promote long-term sobriety. Support groups, like AA and NA, are frequently integrated into the recovery plan.

What is the cost of treatment, and what factors influence the price?

The cost of treatment varies widely, depending on the type of program, the length of stay, and the level of services included. Factors influencing the price include the type of facility, private vs. state-funded insurance coverage, and the individual’s specific needs. Many centers offer financial assistance options and work with clients to develop a payment plan. It’s important to obtain a detailed cost estimate before beginning treatment.

How do I choose the right rehabilitation center for my needs?

Choosing the right center is a significant decision. Consider your specific addiction, your personal preferences, and your financial resources. Research different centers, check their accreditation status (CARF accreditation is a key indicator of quality), and talk to former clients or their families. It’s crucial to find a center that offers a comprehensive treatment plan and a supportive environment.

What happens after I complete my rehabilitation program?

Following completion of a rehabilitation program, continued support is vital for maintaining sobriety. Many centers offer aftercare planning, which includes connecting clients with support groups, therapy, and recovery support services. Maintaining a strong support network and adhering to a relapse prevention plan are crucial for long-term success. A discharge plan should be developed in conjunction with the client and treatment team.
