Staff don't like to clean patient if they use the restroom on themself, left the patient in feces 2 times for an hour each which led to ANOTHER infection. Was given orange juice for low sugar only for a nurse to try and give insulin right after. It was brought to their attention and the day after the patient was transported to Methodist

The respiratory team is incredible. The physical therapy is incredible. The doctors are great. A few good nurses, and a few good CNA. One nurse, Sydney, didn't know that I was on the phone with my son, and she was screaming at him because she is lazy and didn't want to do her job. His bag was leaking and she had to do work. She literally screamed at him like he was trash. Shout out to a few great nurses, Diane and Cris. I know a few more are great, but I didn't get all their names. The CNA's during the day, great. Night ones, pure lazy. Respiratory team got my son off the ventilator in no time. Unbelievable. I have mixed feelings about this place. Some good and professional people working there, and some that shouldn't have a job working around any human being.

My son has been at this hospital for two weeks now, we live in Greencastle over an hour away. Each time I have came into visit my son, he is always well taken care of. He seems to be getting better as well. From the house keeping staff to the doctors everyone has been pleasantly helpful in making sure my son recovery is successful.

This was my daughter's second admittance at Kindred downtown this year. We had a few bumps, but all in all it was a great experience. I want to recognize several that were involved with my daughter's care and many that went above and beyond. Let me start with the nurses...Jenessa and Ruben are two of my favorites and showed so much compassion with my daughter. Elizabeth D. was the only one that called me when I was away and provided me an update, and she too showed so much compassion. Carmen was a nurse that I had met for the first time and I just absolutely loved her. She had the perfect attitude and really knew how to handle this protective mama. Let's just say, she knew what to say to me(thank you Carmen for your understanding). Deja H, Latrice, Russ, Sarah, Cheryl, Kasia, Brittney, Janelle all were wonderful with my daughter and provided great care! Charge Nurses, Amy and Nicole both came and spoke with me and understood any concerns that I had and addressed them promptly. A huge shout out to "Sunday" from Respiratory. He was extraordinaire! He was so gentle with my daughter when providing treatment. Also Jason Teltoe went above and beyond to assist me with questions, etc. I also want to mention techs, Brandon, Evenie and Debony as these three were amazing in making sure that my daughter was well cared for. I also want to recognize wound care, Shannon and Kelsey. Shannon removed the sutures, and Kelsey kept an eye out to make sure my daughter was safe from any wounds. Paula in Nutrition was amazing and came and spoke to me on several occasions to make sure that my daughter's dietary needs were met. Jennifer J is one of the sweetest. She came to the room and answered my questions and assisted me with my daughter when I needed her. I also had a great experience with Case Management. Nancy listened to all of my concerns and my goals for discharge and she addressed them promptly and secured a seamless transition for discharge. The Director of Case Management, Allison, went out of her way on several occasions to assist me with many tasks and she also called after discharge to make sure that we had everything we needed. She is top notch! Last but not least, Charmaign in Rehab. She is exceptional!!! She continuously made sure that all aspects of rehab were met. Love her personality and enthusiasm. All of these wonderful healthcare professionals are led by an extraordinary team. CEO, Judy Weaver is an absolute gem. Not only does she know her role inside an out, but she goes above and beyond and assists these professionals when needed. She came to my daughter's room on multiple occasions and made sure that we had everything we needed and if we had any questions or anything she could assist with. Director of Quality, Lauren also jumped in on multiple occasions to assist however she could. Thank you Kindred for an amazing experience. I know that I am a tough mamma to work with and extremely protective but no mother should endure what I have this past year. So thank you Kindred team for your compassion and understanding!

I waited a really long time to make this post. My father was in a severe car accident in April and was at this establishment for 22 days after spending 18 in the icu. Multiple family members on multiple occasions found my father in his own urine. My father was a lot more capable than other patients and should have been treated that way, he was restrained for a period of time and it was understandable as he had a trach but towards then end of his stay it was to keep him from taking his catheter off (maybe that’s a sign to help him go to the bathroom? I’m no doctor though). He has a DIA and I felt like they didn’t try to interact with him just stick a TV infront of him.The biggest point I would like to make is the fact the case manager did not listen one bit and wasn’t concerned for my dad or his recovery at all, hell she barely spoke to him. We had an incident at the hospital of people trying to see him that would upset him, as his next of kin I tried to speak up and say no, the case manager did not listen even though not only my family but the nurses who took care of him agreed with us. My father was hallucinating and in and out of different time lines from his life and anyone who spent 5 minutes could tell he was still quite out of it. She deemed him fit and as expected his attitude was sour for the rest of the day. In all honesty I would have sued if she wasn’t quite literally gone that next Friday. It seems they are extremely understaffed and can’t keep a solid case management team. Out of all the nurses my father had two of them seemed to be the only ones to truly read his chart. I was severely disappointed my father’s stay here especially when I had heard such good things about it. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Never and I mean ever send someone you love here.
