The staff I interact with at Indy-West are so helpful. Any time we have a need they are immediately responsive, and I love referring my members to their team! Recently we had a fundraiser related to one of our seniors, and not only did Tammy offer her assistance after hours, she brought her whole family to support our event! I love how much this office loves the community they support. Keep it up!

I’m involved with Home Instead with my “adopted” dad. We have been using this service now for about four weeks. It is a service I can recommend if you are looking to keep your loved ones in their homes. There are some great care givers available, and the office staff is great to work with.

I recently had the opportunity to attend an Alzheimer’s educational presentation by a member of their staff. It was informative, relevant and practical. I find this office amazing to work with and very professional in all they do.

Fantastic help from admission to suggestions to help make my mom life easier and more full. Kylee, Aliah and Susan have been great! I will absolutely recommend this company everyone when services are needed. This company has been a god send!

I’ve been with Home Instead for about five years. The office staff is always available to help me with anything I need. I would recommend Home Instead to friends and family. They have given me great caregivers who go over and beyond to help me out!

Horrible decision. Really let me down and created more unnecessary drama at the most crucial time for my father’s life, as well as his caregivers. Will never refer to anyone going through this transition period. Hospice is about easing pain and burdens, not blaming and finger pointing.

I love Brighton Hospice! They have been the best thing for mom and the family. The care she has received is beyond the best we could have ever expected. Our CNA Lela and our RN Julie are the best to say the least. The open communication is beyond anything we have experienced on the current journey with mom. I just want to say that Brighton Hospice, Indiana was amazing with my Mom and her last months. Above all they were amazing for me. The support was outstanding, even hard to express how much that means to me. There were several people involved, one of which named Jennifer Price. She was the first that we met, and of course, immediately felt so comfortable and at peace. She was so loving, caring, compassionate, comforting, during an awful time of hard decisions. She brought ice cream to my Mom several times something that she loved very much and enjoyed! They say they’re angels among us and she’s one of them. I have no doubt in my mind she loved my Mom! The extra things she went out of her way to do for my Mom to make her happy and smile! Doing this brought such a comforting feeling when I couldn’t be around Jennifer usually came by or checked on Mom for me. Also want to mention Michael he had several spiritual moments with my Mom. He came and studied the Bible and prayed with her.
He also shared with me every time he was with my mom he knew for a fact that God was in the room with them. For him to share that with me is priceless, and I will never forget that kindness. There are so many more Angels from Brighton Hospice Indiana that I would like to say “Thank You!” From the bottom of my heart, it will never be forgotten and forever more appreciated! My mom was a patient of Brighton Hospice. I had a lot of issues with Brighton Hospice. My first issue was, instead of calling and coming over to do an assessment on my mom, the nurses would call and say, do you want a visit today. It made me feel as if they did not want to come out for a visit nor did they want to do an assessment on my mom. I spoke with the manager Demetria who stated, “we know families need their privacy and we try to give it to them”. Families do not sign up for hospice to get their privacy. We put our loved ones on hospice to get extra helping hands. Each family is different. If hospice do their jobs correctly, call and set up an appointment with family, and then give the family the right to say we do not need a visit today? Hospice should not be calling and asking the family, do you want a visit today? It made me feel uneasy about the whole process. The cna’s were horrible. Some of the cna’s did not know how to use a hoyer lift. I had to train them. One cna name Keisha was good at her job, but her attitude was horrible. She would come into my home and ask personal question about myself. She would ask me if I knew her husband. She never gave me enough supplies for my mom. When I ask for more gloves, she would tell me management monitors the gloves and did not give them enough to hand out to the families. Then she told me, why do you need gloves our family members do not use gloves”. I had to tell her I use gloves because my mom is incontinent and I want my gloves. I would run out of gloves and adult diapers and had to order them from Amazon. Once they switched our cna, I was able to get the proper amount of supplies without running out. One night my mom blood sugar was over 500. She was unresponsive. I called the after hour Brighton Hospice answering service and Michaela answered the phone. I explained to her that my mom’s blood sugar was over 500 and she was unresponsive. Instead of calling the doctor on call, she said to me, there is nothing we can do about it. I had to tell her to call the doctor. As soon as I hung up, my phone rang and it was Michaela again. She said the doctor said it was noting she could do. There was no way she could have called the doctor that fast. Brighton Hospice had previously discontinued my moms insulin. Thank God I still had insulin at home that I was able to give to my mom. Michaela called back again and then said the doctor wanted me to give her a blood sugar pill. I ask her, how am I suppose to give my mom a blood sugar pill and she’s unresponsive? After I told Michaela I gave my mom insulin, she had another on call nurse to call me. That on call nurse said to me I’m all the way on the other side of town, do you still need a visit as if their protocol was to avoid home visits at all cost. If I didn’t take matters into my own hands, my mom probably would not have survived that night. The next day someone in management called about the situation and all she did was make excuses for her staff. Demetria also called and stated, ” I don’t think Michaela told you that without her first calling the doctor”. More excuses!!! I did have a wonder nurse to come into my mom’s life and mine within the last week of her life. Her name was Antoinette. She was wonderful. She would call and say, I’m on my way. She would never call and say, do you need a visit? She took care of everything at the end and we were grateful. We also had a wonderful pastor name Michael. He would come out to our home and pray with us and he was a true friend to our family. I ask him to do my mom’s eulogy and he accepted. You don’t find good people like Michael and Antoinette anymore. We cherish the positive interactions we had with these 2 wonderful people. Thank you Michael and Antionette!!! The on call nurses at Brighton Hospice are not trained to take emergency calls from family members. They need extensive training and management is refusing to knowledge that there is a real problem.

The care we received was fine. However, I asked several times to not be called by hospice after my fathers death and Brighton did not respect my wishes hence the 2 star review. (They stay connected with family for 1 year after the passing of a loved one). For some, I’m sure this service is helpful but for me it opened up old wounds and trauma and I desperately wish they would have respected my request.

Senior Home Companions is an amazing company. They are compassionate people who care and want the best for you and your family. I just finished my summer internship and I am so thankful for the experience. I highly recommend Senior Home Companions if your loved one needs care.

I had the opportunity to use a Senior Home Companions caregiver to help me care for my 98 yr old mom who was living with us. Senior Home Companion sent a wonderful caregiver that was attentive and kind, as well as reliable and prompt. It was a good reminder that having a caregiver allowed me to be her daughter and not her sole caregiver. Everything was seamless, from the online registration to the follow-up office visit. After checking in, I was called in promptly by Faye. Faye was very friendly and courteous. Dr. Blankenhorn came in promptly and asked relevant questions and offered practical advice.

My wellness interviewer was cordial and thorough. She confirmed my concern about my recent weight loss. She attempted to facilitate an earlier appointment but we learned that this was impossible and I would have to settle for my existing late July appointment.

Dr Nelsen is great just wish you had a little more time that he could spend with me instead of having to do data entry I know that’s not his fault but he’s very easy to talk to but seems like it’s distracted by the laptop. He needs an assistant to enter in that information for him so he could pay a little more attention to the patient but he does the best he can I really like him.

I have no problems with the staff or my doctor. They are the best!! Always friendly and know what they’re doing! Have all the answers to all my questions I ever ask. Would recommend them to anyone!!

I am deeply grateful for the support my family and I received from Transitions Care during this very difficult time. The care and compassion shown by Daria, the nurse, and Jo, the social worker, made an immeasurable difference.

Daria’s professionalism, warmth, and steady presence brought comfort and reassurance when we needed it most. She not only provided excellent clinical care but also treated my mother and our family with dignity, patience, and kindness. Jo’s guidance and compassion helped us navigate the emotional challenges, offering strength and understanding at every step.

When it was time for our Mother to enter Hospice, the Doctor’s and other caregivers gave us names of companies that manage the process for patients like my mother. We interviewed 3, and Mom selected Transitions because their people were attentive to her wants and needs, and we had excellent references from friends that had used the company for their loved ones.
Our Mom had great physical and emotional care from the moment she said yes until she passed away weeks later.
The communication with our family was terrific, and has continued even after Mom’s passing.
I highly recommend Transitions.

Transitions was FANTASTIC! Mom had cancer and was doing well until she had an unanticipated stroke. She survived 12 days post-stroke. We called hospice about 5 days in, so we only used Transitions for a week. They took such better care of her than the nursing home on their own ever did and best of all they spent the last 4 nights of her life with her….they were there with her ALL NIGHT, so we didn’t feel like we had to be there every minute with her. It was such a blessing! They communicated w/us along the way, even with the bad news. I received a call about 2:15am and our hospice nurse said it might be a good idea to head to the nursing home, as signs were pointing to her passing being very close. As I was leaving the house, I received another call that I was too late. We still went to give mom hugs and Shelter (our hospice RN through most of this) was there ready to give my sister and I hugs, as well. We finalized the pre-planned details (take the outfit with her, etc) for the funeral home to pick mom up with Shelter and she continued to wait with mom until they did so. I was grateful that mom wasn’t alone when she passed, so thanks to Transitions for that. I would highly recommend their care!

I was thankful for the love and support that the Transition team showed my family. It is never easy to move a loved one to a care and facility of this type. They showed us genuine care, from the initial visit from Sue at the hospital to my mother and her supporting family. Over the next few weeks, her support staff visited us to provide care and support, which eased her pain and took care of all her needs. When mom eventually passed away, Transition support for our family did not end. They continued to support our family by checking in on us and adding much-needed support and guidance to help us move forward. No one ever wants to recommend hospice care to a friend or loved one, but if I had to, I would pull Sue’s business card and the information for this wonderful service.

Compassionate, caring, dedicated, professional, amazing. These are just some of the words I would use to describe the care givers at Transitions Care. The nurses, Chris, Danny, Clint, Kristy, Bridget, and others, all went above and beyond to be kind, patient, and answered all concerns with professionalism and skill. The office staff, Susie, Tammy and others were always able to help problem solve and find resources that we needed. I am sure I will never spell her name correctly, but the nursing assistant who helped care for mom, was incredible. She was kind and gentle and patient with all of us.
If we could give 10 stars, we would. Transitions Care is the best.

Our family was fortunate to have been introduced to Transitions Hospice Care through our family friend, Susan King. My father was seriously ill and we needed help. As soon as Transitions became involved, my father received immediate professional medical care. As a nurse, I was impressed with the quality and through attention that was given to all areas of his needs. This was done with compassion and complete respect for his dignity. Our family was involved with the plan of care at all times. We were able at any time to call with any questions or concerns. As we needed a hospital bed, Wheelchair, Oxygen, and basic supplies Transitions had them delivered the same day and when my father passed away Transitions removed the equipment within hours which was an emotional benefit to our family. The two nurses Mary and Jenelle from the Fort Wayne office not only gave excellent medical care but were emotional support to us all. Please get in touch with me for you and your loved one.

Every person who I encountered was pleasant and friendly. Everyone had a smile on their faces. The facility is nice, clean, and without odor. The residents appeared to be well cared for. The ambiance is great! This speaks volumes!

It was a beautiful church service at the center. I really enjoyed TBC coming together to bring encouraging words to the residents. I had an amazing time. The residents enjoyed our being there. Everything was so beautifully decorated. I’m looking forward to another visit.

I initially had a slight problem getting my Dad into Westside Village. They went above and beyond to help me rectify the issue immediately. The Director even called me, twice, on a Saturday, to speak to me personally. The facility is the prettiest and cleanest I’ve ever seen and the staff is very friendly and professional. My father is in good hands!!!

Great and friendly staff. Just love the residents there! We always have a great experience when we go! I attend BFWC, in Indianapolis IN and as volunteers, we go every month to fellowship and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Great place to have a live one who is in need for more care. Good staff and aids. You have to show up to visit your love one, and not just drop them off. Visit regularly and be pro active.

This was an absolute horrid experience. The dr that practices there is a major jerk. He treated my Mom terribly. No one ever gave updates on how my Mom was doing. She was there for rehab and got very little. If I called, the phone would just ring. The dr from her hospital stay wanted to call in a prescription for my mom and couldn’t get through either. The phones just rang and rang. So I just showed up one day and the LPN I spoke to had a major chip on her shoulder and was really put out that I was there. Stay far, far away from this place. Also there’s a 5-star review on here from my Mom and she didn’t write it and told me she would NEVER have written anything close to that. So apparently someone else set up an account for her and submitted it for her… interesting. The user name isn’t even the one that would pop up on her gmail account. Go figure. I wonder how that 5-star review got on there. And don’t think I got her review mixed up with someone else with the same name. There’s no way. Her name is Hildreth Bagwell. Lol. Nice try Westside Village. Your service, bedside manner, and care in general deserves 0 Stars. 6-15-22: Interesting update: I don’t see the review from Hildreth Bagwell anymore. So since I called them out on the fake review, they must have taken it down.Makes one wonder how many other of these 5-star reviews are fake? When I originally posted this, they had an overall 2-star rating. Now they have lots of 5-star reviews. Have their services gotten that much better? Or did they hire someone to “clean-up” their ratings? It’s not worth sacrificing your loved ones to find out.
Another update: a lot of the posts on this page have this place mixed up with Westside Garden Plaza independent living and assisted living. They are located in the same building and Westside Garden Plaza is amazing. This place is the rehab facility and not related at all to Westside Garden Plaza other than sharing a building. Don’t be fooled.

We are very happy with the organization and the surroundings and our residence. However, We are very disappointed with all of the things we were told we could do or have that we found out later we could not do or we could not have. As an example We understood That we
could put our Family light fixture in the entryway As opposed to the fixtures being offered on a chart and that it would be done By Hoosier Village. Now we are told that the fixture is ours and not yours and therefore we have to put it up or find someone else to do it. I’m not sure why hanging our lamp is so much more difficult than hanging your own, but this is the kind of nonsense we have been struggling with. Are we disappointed in the response not always but on the other hand much too often.

Hoosier Village is a wonderful community of fun and friendly folk – someone is always ready for a game of golf or a pickleball tournament. Although, sometimes, a cup of coffee and a book discussion is all I am looking for, and that too is just a phone call away.

LaNita is the consummate hostess & each time I have given her referrals of people interested in moving to Hoosier Village, they are given first class treatment. She does not use pressure sales tactics but instead offers her warm personality of hospitality & tour guide. She comprehensively answers any questions & explains in easy laymen’s terms pricing and details.

We were quite pleased with working with La Nita. She kept us fully informed and was quite knowledgeable about Hoosier Village and our choices. She answered all of our questions throughout the process. I feel that she does an excellent job for whoever she works with.

It has been our experience as retired residents living in Zionsville who are waiting to move into Hoosier Village that the staff are great to work with.

My aunt lived there for 10 years and it was a great experience for her. We even held her funeral there. She started the red hat society when she first arrived and was buried in her red hat outfit. Her red hat sisters walked down the aisle in their outfits at the funeral, and it was very cute. I know she would’ve loved it.

This place is a joke! I went through the interview and testing to get into a program, but they never reached back out. I was told they would give me a call to let me know either way, if I got accepted or not. I took the testing, and waited and waited. Never heard back. I reached out NUMEROUS times, left voice message after voice message and no one ever returned my call. They preach about how important it is not to miss class and how dedicated you have to be if accepted. What an example they showed by NOT even reaching back out. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

Great place to get your Diploma ! Never give up if you fail keep trying . It’s never too late trust in yourself. Teachers are helpful and caring .
