I came in two days ago looking for help and one employee (tall man with beard) literally walked away from us after we told him what we were looking for. We told another employee (tiny female) we wanted help with snails and she ignored us – we had to ask 3 times. (Almost walked out) I also had questions about the Betas and was met with zero customer service skills («these are our betas» pointing to cups on an counter) and again, the employee walked away. We came to this store because of their live guarantee. At no point were we told the shrimp and snails we spent $50 on we’re not part of the guarantee. Less than 36 hours after arriving home all of them are dead still in the bag the shop sent us home in (they were acclimating to the temperature of our tank, which is 77). I called the Reef to inquire what to do as they hadn’t been exposed to our tank water and it was under the 48 hour «live policy» and was met with rudeness, not compassion. I will never recommend this store and am appalled by their mannerisms.

The staff is super knowledgeable and kind. I really want to emphasize the knowledge part: they know their stuff, and it was super cool to hear them talking to other customers about their tanks. Perry helped me out picking out my first tank and accessories, and I can’t wait to go back. It’s a bit of a drive for me but I love how alive that shop is, and I am excited to get into the hobby! -Quick edit: The staff there will go above and beyond to answer questions and help you with your needs! Every time I’ve called in with a question they give me a clear answer, and I really appreciate the work ethic!

Amanda was very helpful to my husband today talking about his new freshwater 20 gallon tank! We are doing a fishless cycle right now and eventually will get fish from here. We are excited and he’s visited maybe multiple times a day since buying his tank. We are so grateful that this store is 2 minutes from our house and that he can get all of the expert help he needs!

We really wanted to give 5 stars but the bladder snail(s) that hitched a ride home with us ruined the 5 star experience. Customer service was fantastic, she knew her stuff! The selection was good, prices very competitive. But we purchased a few live plants and since we added those to the aquarium we’ve found 4 bladder snails! I’m presently watching the tank for the one I dropped out of the net. I definitely don’t like killing them but I don’t want thousands of snails.

I love going to this store!! I drive very far out of my way to come here because the employees are always helpful and they have so many options for fish, plants, and decorations!! Pari helped me pick out my betta fish and even helped me test to see if she showed signs of aggression, and is always very helpful when I come in. Roz is also very sweet and helpful! We talked about betta fish, and she engaged in conversation back with me like I wasn’t even a customer. She also helped me pick out natural decorations for my tank as well. Very smart and knowledgeable employees at this store. I would recommend it any day!!!

We came in on Saturday to purchase several additions for our tank, including a chocolate gourami. While we were at checkout, the employee assisting us dropped the bag containing the gourami onto the floor. The impact was clearly hard enough to hear, despite the employee telling us she softened the blow. We were told at that time that if the fish did not survive, we could return for a refund. When I arrived home from work on Monday, the gourami had died. The store was already closed, so I returned Tuesday after work. I was then told I would only receive half the purchase price because I was outside the 48-hour window and did not bring a water sample. The fish was dropped by an employee before it even left the store. The other fish and snail purchased at the same time are healthy, which strongly suggests tank conditions were not the issue. Applying a standard policy to a situation caused by employee mishandling feels unreasonable and dismissive. I was issued partial store credit, but after this experience, I do not feel comfortable returning to make another purchase. A full refund would have been the appropriate resolution. Very disappointed in how this was handled.

I have had decent experiences with the grooming , but this most recent visit wasn’t great. Took 4 1/2 hours . I have 2 small dogs , one was groomed the other is short haired and only needed a bath . When I picked up the short haired, groomer said she was ready to go, she was soaking wet. Luckily I had her blanket to dry her off with. My other dog looked good , no complaints, other than taking 4 1/2 hours . She may have over booked. She was grooming a different dog when I picked up my soaking wet dog , yet my other dog wasn’t done yet. They had appts right after each other.

Calista grooms our Dalmatian puppy and we will not be going anywhere else! Our dog always comes home smelling so good and is so soft! They do such an amazing job here. Prices are amazing as well! It’s hard to find someone you trust, so I’m glad I don’t have to worry about that! I just drop her off and run my errands until she’s ready. Always such a great experience!

I came in to find cat supplies, which I was able to spot easily and the store had what I needed. Although when walking to the checkout, I spotted the «beta fish» wall, which was full of plastic containers of black/brown water and a dead beta fish floating at the top of each container. I was stunned to see these containers completely untouched and no one even bothering to dispose of these poor creatures. Either don’t carry beta fish, or learn how to care of them properly so they get a chance to live rather than die at the pet store.

This was my first biosphere to this store. We stopped in to get dog food and treats whole staying nearby for work. The store is clean and well stocked. The employees were very nice. I overheard a groomer talking kindly to a dog she was grooming. My cashier was a woman named Harriet. She was kind, had a lovely smile and did her job well. I would happily visit again when we’re in the area.

Most of my visits are simply to grab a bag of dog food but nevertheless you get the sense of a well run store and really good employees. My last two visits I needed a little more and all that became even more clear and appreciated. We used the dog bath station for the first time the other day and I’ll never do it any other way! A clean station. A shower caddie with clean towels. A bib to keep myself a little dryer and cleaner. All the supplies and equipment we needed to get the job done. And all included in a remarkably modest price. Thank you!

I am so pleased, thrilled and in love with this location and their staff! I reserved the community room for my dog’s birthday party. When I went back to take pictures of the setup, they explained what everything would look like. The room was cleared and clean and they made goodie bags for all the guests(including a cat lol)…and a special one for the birthday boy!!! The staff checked in to see if there was anything we needed often! This lace truly is a caring, neighborhood pet store and now that I know the «plus» has to mean the over the top service that you’ll get, plus smiles and plus the eagerness they have to serve! Thank you all so much! My little fellas birthday was a hit and that’s certainly thanks to you!

I can’t say enough good things about the team. My dog Cinnamon is very anxious, but this location has consistently made her feel safe and cared for. This was her third visit, and just like the last two, she came out looking and smelling amazing! A special shoutout to Uly, who always goes above and beyond to make Cinnamon comfortable. It’s clear he genuinely cares, and it means the world to us. Thank you for treating her like your own! Highly recommend this location to any pet parent looking for compassionate, professional grooming

We are trying to shop local, even if it is a franchise or chain, and visited this store for the first time in YEARS as we typically buy directly from Chewy. The store had a great selection of products for all types of pets, quality products, competitive pricing, and the employee greeted us when we entered and asked us if we needed any help finding anything. We were in and out in less than 15 minutes, and our dog loved all the products we purchased for her!

I have been a rewards customer with PetSmart for at least 3-4 years. I took my dog there to get her nails trimmed today because it said online and on the store window that they open at 8am. This is also a service they say you don’t need an appointment for on their site. We got there at 8am. The doors weren’t unlocked. I watched workers walk around inside the store who clearly saw my dog and I waiting. Still nothing. When I peeked inside, I saw that the lights were off in the grooming salon. They weren’t even open. After 10 minutes, we left. I understand the actual store opens at 10a today, but the site and store window shouldn’t have the grooming salon opening at 8am and no one is there. I wasted time and gas because of inaccurate information, and my dog has to go another week with long nails. Sundays are the best day I can do these things due to my work schedule. I will be finding somewhere else to get my dog groomed.

GROOMING: Brought our dog in for grooming, she is a small retriever. Bath and Brush option ($40) this was supposed to include a nail trim, sanitary trim, and paw pad clean up. The nails were poorly cut, if at all. We also paid another $35 for nail grind, teeth brushing, and some special shampoo. Nail grind was certainly not done either. My dog was still wet at pick up and had a tiny mat behind her ear, that easily could’ve have been brushed out. After inspecting her in the store, I took her back in and spoke with the groomer, she was very sweet and apologized, and after pulling up everything online and showing her what was to be included she stated, «I’m still new and I didn’t know what was supposed to all be done»… I don’t entirely blame her, clearly a training issue here as well. But before anyone else gets cheated out of their money, I wanted to leave this review. I asked to speak to a manager just to inform him of what has occurred, this is the second time for us, with petsmart, I was offered a discount on my next groom, but told him not to worry because we will never be back.

I originally had no plan to write a public review — I only filled out the survey in-store and exited midway because it was long and I didn’t want to continue. However, I later received a phone call from the manager asking why I left the survey that way and what was wrong. Even if the intention was to improve service, the call felt like I needed to explain myself or justify my experience, which was uncomfortable and unnecessary. During my visit, the checkout didn’t feel very welcoming, and although I entered my phone number for rewards, it was not verified properly and my purchase never showed up in my account. I wasn’t trying to blame anyone or leave a complaint, but being contacted personally about a survey felt intrusive and made the situation more unpleasant than the visit itself. Feedback should stay within the survey platform — a direct phone call about it crosses a line for me. This is the reason I am leaving this review now.

The grouchy women here suck at customer service. They man handle my gf’s puppy. They are super rough and do not sweet talk. They talk like grumpy old men. Paris Hilton doesn’t take her puppy here because this place is the opposite of luxury. Dogs don’t even get personal bath robes. The place literally stinks, and there’s no aesthetic appeal. You guys have low standards. If you think this place is the best place to take your pet, you’re not a millionaire. My gf flies first class and does bikini contests in Las Vegas. She knows people with private jets, and she hangs out with celebrities.

The prices were so high, we could only get a jerky stick for $3 because everything else was so expensive. I stopped to look at the cool fish and animals but was left horrified with the awful conditions. Disgusting. Look at the pictures with caution.

I purchased flea and tick control for my cat who escaped and came back with a flea in his fur. Paws Stop is conveniently located just a few miles from my house so I stopped in. Very reasonably priced for the flea and tick control, which is plant based. The employee didn’t try to talk me into buying an expensive brand, which I appreciated. I also sigmed up for their loyalty program and was given a coupon to apply towards my next purchase😃 Overall, it was a very nice first-time shopping experience and the store is very clean, well maintained and smells good!

I love this pet shop! Only quality products here that you won’t find at big box retailers. Independently owned and friendly customer service! They have helped me with food recommendations, vaccines and treats. They have events for adoptable dogs. They have great sales and a customer loyalty program. They have wellness clinics! So glad I found you several years ago!

I love this local pet store! I drive a good 35 minutes to come here instead of going to a Petco or Petsmart. The prices are better, the quality of items are better, and the people care much more about your animals care and not a paycheck. The owner of the business is often around the shop, and she has been kind every time I have spoken to her. I now live two and half hours away in Southern Indiana and can’t wait for them to expand!

Just went here for the first time, and we all loved it. Our pup just lost her brother of 7 years this week, and she’s been struggling to adjust. We thought we’d try a new place to help her have her own memories. Access from the Pike was easy. It’s handicap accessible. They have tons of great treats, foods, toys, etc. for dogs, cats, birds, etc. The staff was wonderful, helpful, and knowledgeable. We recommend them for your pet supply needs for sure. Our pup left with a nice new jacket, sweater, some treats, and a new bone. She loves the sweater so much, we took the tag of to pay because she didn’t want to take it off.

What an amazing company! All healthy options! I have 2 ferrets and have been struggling to find food thats actually healthy for them! They have a lot that needs to go into their diet and are carnivores! So many companies put toxic things into ferrets recipes! Raw paws is affordable and healthy. You get a big bag of food! Thank you so much for taking care of my fur babies.

I have ordered twice and have been pleased with the Tripe. I get beef but will try lamb next. My 35lb Labradoodle likes it. I use a few teaspoon size pieces as a topper on her raw food at each meal. She has reflux despite the best raw organic prey diet food. I hope raw tripe will help but I don’t know if it qualifies as a fermented food. I would give the product 5 stars if it was from organically fed animals.

I ordered roughly $1600 in RAW PMR for my dog with severe food allergies. I received 3 of the 4 boxes on a Friday all in perfect condition all completely intact meat FROZEN, the 4th box was separated in transport by the transporter company. It arrived SEVERELY damaged and all meat bad. I contacted the company and that was on Saturday which was out of business hours. They immediately called me Monday morning when they opened up. They verified the box was damaged and the product was BAD. They reissued the fourth boxes contents to me and it arrived completely frozen NO issues!!! This company is wonderful, their food is wonderful! My dog had had absolutely no reactions to it and it’s one of the only complete diet PMR on the market that’s actually worth purchasing. I’m not a forever customer! My dog and I both thank you, I have spent thousands of dollars in vet bills and allergen testing and we know the triggers and you guys have saved my dog from anymore treatment with the vet! THANK YOU ☺️

I have wanted to switch my dogs to raw for a while and Raw Paws made it easy. They have raw frozen and raw freeze dried so you have options, as well as treats and chews. My dogs are enjoying the BARF formula chicken currently and I recently ordered a variety of training treats. The salmon bites aren’t working for us, unfortunately, as they are harder than expected, but the sardine bits and freeze dried tripe has been perfect for controlling calories. Ashley in customer service was excellent in answering my questions. I am happy with the product and the service!

We had a bad experience with getting a cockatiel from this store. A couple weeks after we got the bird, she became sick with difficulty breathing and lethargy. She is the only bird at home and has clean cage and everything. We spent around $2000 for a bird we had less than 3 months for now, and vets couldnt figure out what is wrong with her until we saw worms in her feces. From vet’s words, it is very rare that indoor birds get infected with worms and she most likely got it from other birds in the store. I know it could be due to the suppliers who they get the animals from, but I wish they would quality check the conditions where they are getting avian animals from or their basic health. Very unpleasant and costly situation not to mention the suffering of the animal. She was treated against parasites and feels better now.

The employees here were super nice and friendly and helpful I love going in here and shopping for my pet supplies and I love that I can take my dog in there with me he loves going in there and meeting other dogs and looking at all the stuff and picking out his own treats I absolutely love looking at all the pets in there too and they let you hold them at this one if you ask or at least they did me I would highly recommend going here they seem to treat their animals better than most of the other pet stores that I’ve went to they’re clean and have food and water every time that I’ve went in there

Good selection. Line was long, but cashier was polite and efficient, mindful about the length of the line, but kind and polite to each guest. One outfit we bought didn’t fit the doggo and I lost the receipt. The girl working the cash register looked up my order by my number and was happy to do the return. Overall, excellent service.

I took my senior dog in to get a rabies vaccine when her regular vet couldn’t get her in for a few weeks. The appointment was easy to schedule online, they sent plenty of reminders, and we were in and out and covered for rabies for another year in about 10 minutes. The DVM and techs were friendly and took great care of my girl. And price was excellent, about $42. When all you need is a rabies vaccine, the Petco clinic is a great, affordable option that will get you in and out quickly and not break the bank.

They lost a loyal customer today. I came in monthly and this last time brought my child with me to purchase a fish, but we were refused service as soon as we reached the fish area. Staff stated that my tank was not an «appropriate size,» and this was said in front of my child, which was both unnecessary and upsetting. In hindsight, I am grateful for the experience. After observing the conditions the fish were kept in—particularly the murky and unsanitary SMALL betta containers —I would not have felt comfortable purchasing an animal from this store. What initially felt frustrating ultimately turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

You guys need to find a new nail trimmer that treats animals with respect. Showed up and explained to the guy my dog had a past experience where the harness choked him because he is a pug. I asked him if he could hook the leash to my harness as it doesn’t mess with his airway. The guy told me no it’s policy, okay that’s fine. Every time my dog moved he yanked the collar tight, and my dog was clearly having a hard time breathing. Then cut my dog, and I watch him blame my dog. Literally says «well maybe if you don’t move I won’t cut you, and you got cut because you moved». Did not finish the whole service and tried to add his tip on himself and I had to ask him to remove it. Was still charged for the full service, and told to come back another time. I wouldn’t want anyone who treats animals like this working with animals.

Amazing deals and prices, but the welfare of their fish is a low priority for this location. Several betas were floating dead, and this one particularly had been neglected so long it was decaying in its cup. Ive been a customer for a long time, but i dont think I’ll come back for a long time. The staff use to care a lot more. Its heartbreaking to see the standards are falling.

This place is ridiculous with there fish everything is always «quarantined» or dying. And by quarantined I mean in Public display tanks without even medicating anything. On top of that whenever there fish aren’t in a quarantine tank there employees are completely clueless as too how to handle them, they constantly drop fish on the floor or just plain throw the fish in terrible environments. Other then the lady up front everyone in the store is completely disrespectful and have probably the worst customer service I have ever seen. Do not go here

They had what I wanted. New leash. Training collar. It was a bit cheaper here. I had planned on ordering this online but grabbed it at comparable price. And it looks better than the one on ebay. I would have rated this place a 3 but I’m actually pleased so I decided to write a review. Thanks pet supplies plus!

Love this store. Great staff, always good customer service. The supply of crickets for my bearded dragon almost always available and good supply of mealworms and other treats as well. Nice aquatic selection and have purchased a few additions to my tank here as well. My spoiled dog Noel gets some treats from here as well and we Will be trying out the self bath station soon.

I gratefuly ran across this picture of a beautiful and unique aquatic animal. I have searched the store and have seen some similar without the spots, but can not seem to locate any with the beautiful white spots. I have never seen such beautifully highlighted white speckles. I wonder if they show up as a defense mechanism or maybe distinctive to either just male or female. Beautiful fish or Pescala.

Store is overall clean. If you need help you have to find someone and ask or you won’t get any. Prices are higher then usual, I pay over $10 for a feeder rat. I usually pay about $4 But it’s close by so I don’t mind. I still give it 5 stars!

I drove all the way up here after calling them and making sure that they had what I wanted was in stock. I stood next to that aquarium for at least 10 minutes while three employees total walk back and forth past me. Granted yes they were helping one person but not one of them looked at me and said hey we will be with you in a minute or even acknowledge my existence. I will never stop here again until they get their head out of their…

I have bought two male parakeets one then the other after the first one died and not even a month later the second one has died. The female we got somewhere else is perfectly fine now it’s been three all from the same store. I’m definitely not getting anymore pets from them.

They have live hopper mice feeders. No feeder rats. Prices are high for hornworms. But, prices are low for heat rocks for reptiles. They have more variety in subtrates for reptiles.

Very nice place to get a plecostomus fish. A suckered fish for cleaning your fish tanks. The staff was so friendly and kind. He knew exactly what I was looking for. The tanks also looked very well keep. Got the fish I pointed out and was done in just a few minutes. It was nice visiting with him and talking about fish and tanks. A++

I’ve been in search of a pac man frog this week. Today I went to two different Bills stores. The first one was sold out so I went to this location. I went straight to the aquatic area in search. An employee asked if I needed help. I asked for pac man frogs. He gets out a pac man, pixie frog & tomato frog. The pac man frog was very dead and had been for awhile seeing how decayed it was. I then pointed out the other two are not what I was looking for but did ask if he knew about the tomato frog. He has zero knowledge & didn’t care to know about them. I find this concerning. Why are people taking care of these pets if they don’t know about them? I then proceeded to the front of the store to ask the girl when they’ll get more pac man frogs. She was bothered that I asked. She replied with, «whenever we sell out» I told her that she is sold out bc the last one was dead. She proceeded to flip thru her magazine & say «next week». It felt very dismissive & strange. I’m sad because I was very excited to shop here but after this experience, I’ll take my business elsewhere. Please don’t treat your customers like this.

I’ve been coming here for almost 20 years?Weekly stop. Only place I can get everything I need for any of my animals. Lots of people surrender their animals here and they do a great job finding new homes. I wish sales were more competitive so I could pump more into them instead of retail giants like Petsmart or Petco.

This is the most depressing pet store i’ve been. The dogs were so inactive and lifeless. Some dogs are literally sitting on their own feces and they have it on their faces too. The staffs are just not it! I feel bad for these babies. I wish they can be taken care of more.

Awesome experience. Bobby was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable with any questions I had. He even offered to order anything I may want that they didn’t carry. The fish selection was amazing. They had more birds than your local Petco/PetSmart as well as small animals and reptiles. They had puppies as well and a shop cat that was very social. Overall a wonderful experience.

I absolutely love coming to this location, the staff has always made me feel welcomed. I have spoken to Jay a handful of times and he has always been very helpful and knowledgeable. Most pet stores I have gone to do not have the information I am needing unlike this location.

This is probably the best Uncle Bill’s ive seen. It is extremely clean and while I was there I saw employees actively taking care of the hamster enclosures. The fish tanks all looked well kept. The staff that I had to interact with were kind as well and seemed to care about their job.

I came to this store for feeders because I didn’t feel life driving to Lafayette. I used to avoid a few of the Uncle Bills stores because of the quality and limited sizes of feeders, and because the locations aren’t very good (why do they not have a Plainfield location) I have quite a few snakes that need fed mostly weekly (some biweekly) and I was surprised to see that this store seems to be making some improvements. The employees are kind and remember you, even when it’s been a while since you’ve been in. They remember what types of animals you have, and even specific details about your pets. There are two specifically that I’m happy to see any time I’m there, one is a super sweet, knowledgeable, tall woman in the aquatics area and the other is Jay. I believe Jay is a manager. I’m not sure how long he’s been there, but since he has helped me, I feel good about what I’m leaving with. I bought another snake from him a couple weeks ago, and coming from a person that knows their stuff on snakes, I can confidently say Jay knows his stuff as well. I have noticed a lot of improvements in quality of care for the animals at THIS location over about the past year. I love how much this location makes me, and MY family feel like they care not only for their pets, but they care to make sure you feel welcomed as family. I will come more often. These types of people are hard to find, so I will continue to come to this location and watch them grow! Plus, somehow, they seem to have feeders better suited for the sizing I need, so that’s a plus!

Frequently Asked Questions about Pet Stores in Indianapolis

What types of animals do Indianapolis pet stores typically sell?

Indianapolis pet stores offer a variety of animals, though the specific selection varies. Many commonly sell dogs, primarily purebred breeds, as well as mixed-breed dogs. You'll also find cats, often kittens, and sometimes adult cats. Some stores specialize in specific animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, reptiles (such as snakes and lizards), and birds. It's always best to confirm what animals a particular store offers before making a visit.

How much do pets typically cost at Indianapolis pet stores?

The cost of a pet at an Indianapolis pet store depends heavily on the species, breed, and age of the animal. Generally, smaller animals like hamsters and guinea pigs tend to be less expensive, often ranging from $30 to $80. Larger animals, such as dogs, can cost several hundred to several thousand dollars, depending on their pedigree and breeding. Reptiles and birds can vary greatly in price. Remember to factor in the cost of food, bedding, and accessories when budgeting for a new pet.

Do Indianapolis pet stores offer adoption services?

While many Indianapolis pet stores primarily focus on selling animals, some participate in adoption programs. These programs often partner with local animal shelters and rescues to provide homes for animals in need. It’s worth inquiring about adoption services when visiting a pet store, as they might have a limited number of animals available for adoption alongside their sales inventory. Organizations like the Indianapolis Animal Care Facility are also key partners in animal welfare.

What health guarantees do Indianapolis pet stores provide?

The health guarantees offered by Indianapolis pet stores vary significantly. Some stores provide limited guarantees, often covering congenital defects within a certain timeframe. However, many guarantees are contingent on the animal receiving proper veterinary care and vaccinations. It’s crucial to carefully review the store’s guarantee policy before purchasing an animal and to understand what is covered and what is not. Be sure to get everything in writing.

What types of food and supplies do Indianapolis pet stores sell?

Indianapolis pet stores offer a wide assortment of food for different animal types, ranging from dry kibble to wet food and raw food options. They also stock a variety of supplies, including beds, toys, leashes, carriers, litter boxes, and grooming supplies. The quality and brand selection can vary, so it’s worth researching different options and considering the animal’s specific needs.

Are there any regulations or licensing requirements for pet stores in Indianapolis?

Yes, pet stores in Indianapolis operate under various regulations and must obtain the necessary licenses to operate legally. The Indianapolis Department of Business Registration oversees these operations, ensuring that pet stores meet standards related to animal care, sanitation, and public safety. These regulations aim to protect both animal welfare and consumer rights.

How do I choose the right pet store in Indianapolis?

Choosing the right pet store involves considering several factors. Research the store's reputation, read online reviews from other customers, and assess the store’s animal care practices. Look for a store with experienced staff who can answer your questions and provide guidance. Additionally, evaluate the store's selection of products and pricing to ensure they align with your budget and needs.

What should I consider before bringing a pet home from a pet store?

Before bringing a pet home, thoroughly assess your living situation to ensure it’s suitable for the animal. Consider factors like space, budget, and lifestyle. Be prepared for the commitment of caring for a pet, including providing food, shelter, veterinary care, and attention. Research the animal’s specific needs to ensure you can provide an appropriate environment.

What are some reputable animal shelters and rescues in Indianapolis to consider alongside pet stores?

Several reputable animal shelters and rescues in Indianapolis provide animals needing homes. The Indianapolis Animal Care Facility offers adoption services. Additionally, organizations like Happy Tails Pet Rescue and PAWS Indianapolis actively work to find homes for animals. Exploring adoption options alongside pet stores can expand your choices and support animal welfare in the community. These rescues often provide important medical care and behavioral assessments.

How can I report animal welfare concerns related to a pet store?

If you observe any animal welfare concerns, such as poor living conditions or inadequate care, it’s important to report these concerns to the appropriate authorities. Contact the Indianapolis Animal Care Facility or the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. You can also file a complaint with the Indiana Board of Veterinary Medicine. Providing detailed information and evidence can help ensure that action is taken to address the concerns.
