It’s fine – I gave this location a chance, but I ended up joining a different gym that opened up recently, for the same monthly price, because of the lack of upkeep here. It always seems like the same machines are broken or misaligned constantly. Patrons leave wipes all over the floor and the cup holders of the cardio machines. The cable accessories and mats are pretty run down and need replacing. Stuff is never where it’s supposed to be and patrons don’t unrack their weights or put things back. There has been a broken mirror in the weight area for a couple months, held together by tape. It looks like they’re starting to do renovations so hopefully these issues can be addressed soon. I usually go during my lunch break and it’s not as crowded as the mornings/evenings but there are people who set up tripods to film. Otherwise people mind their own business. It has all the equipment you need for a good workout. I never got to try the classes, but you get 3 free ones when you sign up. The women’s locker room is always clean. They’ve been better about restocking the wipes recently.

Everything at the gym is great. The equipment and environment are really good. The only suggestion I have is to extend the closing time by one more hour. It would be much better if the gym stayed open until 1 AM instead of closing at 12 AM.

This gym is wonderful. Staff always goes above and beyond to make all members and guest feel not only welcomed but encouraged to achieve whatever goal has brought them to the gym. As a guest in this country I experience many obstacles with my limited grasp of the language. I understand this can be very frustrating to fluent speaking Americans and it makes me nervous. So when people like Kaylah at the 38th st location go out of their way to help someone like me it goes so much further than they can ever imagine. What a wonderful world this would be if everyone had the patience, heart and willingness to take time out of their day to make those of us who feel they are a burden understand we are valued and welcome. Thanks Kaylah your warmth and compassion changes lives daily.

I don’t give out five stars easily, but I’m very impressed with this location. A week ago I joined VASA at the south side location, but I’m closer to this location. Everything was clean and neat. The dry sauna was super hot and the men’s bathroom is the cleanest men’s bathroom I’ve ever seen! I saw a lot of negative reviews for this location and so I’m glad that I went there today to see the reality for myself. It is definitely one of the best gyms you can join( at least this location) I was expecting a dirty bathroom because it’s hard to clean up after men, but I’m really impressed with this gym. Definitely worth my $$ membership. Happy I joined!

I was not a fan of this gym. The steam room was broken. The sauna and steam room are open to both genders, they are not separate. The sauna was so full, people were standing in there. 4 separate people were singing in there. It was unbearable without airpods. I don’t think they monitor if you have the membership that allows sauna/pool access. This gym did not have a cold plunge. I was in the hottub and someone very sweaty got out of the sauna and right into the hottub without showering, gross!!! I will be joining Indianapolis healthplex instead of this nasty place! Also, they act like there are no hidden fees, however you will get charged for canceling if it’s within the first 6mo.

I was refereed to this place by the company I work. It’s a very known company in the city but I will not mention it here. Just understand you should treat everyone with kindness and respect without regards to what they look like. My daughter and I , as well as, my mother were looking forward to starting the New Year off right getting healthy 😊 So my Mom invited me to a stretch class she paid for through the app. She goes through a lot taking care of my sick Grandmother and she needed a break. When I say the lady that was at the front desk who called herself a manager was beyond rude this is an understatement. The way she handled my mother was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. And she also lied about the fact we couldn’t come to the class just because my mother joined VASA Castleton which isn’t opened yet. My Mom was very upset and the interaction and treatment she received was both unnecessary and totally disrespectful. I will be speaking to the community development department with my corporate office to let them know about this location and how people are treated. My Mother is also an executive in healthcare as well with clients all over Indiana and surrounding areas. Hopefully this review reaches the owners and helps them going forward to employee workers who are more diverse and willing to help members who pay for memberships. If the manager with the blonde ombré hair that works at night is any indication of how VASA actually feels about its patrons I don’t see the business staying around in the future. Be careful about treating people a certain way because you think you can due to what they look like it may be the biggest mistake you will make fir yourself and your employer.

I understand that planet fitness is cheaper than a lot of places. Is it because the staff can’t get off their phones, they definitely don’t clean. The hairs, tanning lotion spots, even the paper towel has been there for months. It’s not surprising that someone could expire and no one notices. The staff doesn’t care enough to even do their jobs. I am canceling my membership as I would rather pay more for a cleaner facility. The tanning bed light really does really illuminate the nastiness of this place.

Not a bad gym. It’s less crowded than Vasa, where people go to film themselves and hang out all day, but they do have less equipment than Vasa. This gym is also a lot cleaner than Vasa, which seems to be in a constant state of filth and neglect. I do wish this gym had more than 3 squat racks, and also a seated calf raise, but as long as I’m living near here, I’ll keep coming since they seem to keep this place relatively clean and equipment updated and maintained, and the price is a pretty good value.

I have cancelled my membership 2x now and they keep charging me. I am so aggravated with this place. I will never use a planet fitness again. The only reason I even cancelled is bc I had surgery and not able to workout. Can't even drive, so this is a big inconvenience for me. I shouldn't have to keep going up here and dealing with these people

PF has always been great about updating and buying new equipment. Very clean club with friendly staff. I have the advantage of going during the day. Lots of equipment and no wait during the week. Nice combination of free weights and machines. As I get older, I prefer the machines to limit injury.

I swung by this gym to squeeze in a quick workout, and let me tell you, I was blown away by the setup of this place. It's like they smartly divided into three sections: one side dedicated to cardio workouts, with treadmills, cycling machines, stair-masters, and all that good stuff. The other side is a haven for those who want to indulge in strength training and build some muscle. We're talking racks of weights, dumbbells, and all the equipment you need to get strong. Right smack in the middle is the massage area. I mean, how cool is that? You can hit the weights, crush your cardio, shower, and then treat yourself to a well-deserved massage. It's a game-changer!!! All in all, this location is more than just a gym for the community. It's a much-appreciated experience. The thought put into hiring the warm-hearted staff, the design+ layout, the cleanliness, and the overall atmosphere is simply dope. Salute to the owners!

Jorge

This gym is absolutely amazing. I’ve trained at many gyms both overseas and across the U.S., and this one truly stands out. The environment pushes you to be better because people actually come here to work out—not sit around or camp on equipment. The energy is motivating and focused. William, Derek, Jordan, Nate, and the rest of the staff are incredible. They genuinely greet you, make you feel welcome, and treat you like family from day one. If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would.

Great gym with a clean atmosphere and well-maintained equipment. The staff is friendly, and the trainers are helpful and motivating. This is the best gym I have worked out at in a very long time. Excellent equipment, good music (for a change), and Landan and the entire staff are top notch, very welcoming. If I lived within an hour of this gym (I'm from Florida) I would be a member here.

American Muscle & Fitness gym is amazing. It’s open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. AMF is never crowded and you’re not forced to wait on equipment because it is so big and they have so much fitness equipment. Any exercise or machine you want to use is readily available. The gym is always clean, Derek and the staff very kind and always engaging. The other gym members are polite and willing to help you. AMF Is conveniently located on the south side just north of Greenwood. If you live in another part of the city, it is well worth the drive. Regardless of your age or fitness level, AMF is a great choice.

I travel weekly for a living and have been to many different gyms across the country. This is easily one of my favorites. The atmosphere is incredible, staff is friendly and helpful, passes are very reasonably priced. But the icing on the cake is the excellent store they have attached, in which they sell supplements and terrific prepped meals. Very convenient, especially for a traveler trying to stay on top of their nutrition. This is the only gym I will attend when I’m working in Indianapolis. Highly recommend.

Awesome gym, went & signed up today & they are great people & great equipment lots of great stuff & extras! My favorite part tho is the 24/7 access for the members, even when staff isn’t there you can still go!!! Even on holidays which is just unbelievable, & the atmosphere just makes you wanna get healthier, overall 1000000/10 I highly recommend this gym to any & everyone no matter your goal!

I really enjoyed going to this gym, and I went there for 2+ years but decided to cancel because of the price. I wouldn't say that alone would make it deserving of a 1/5 star rating but they charged me $30 just to cancel the membership although I wasn't on a contract. What an absolute slap in the face and scummy business practice, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Saena Kim

I started going to F45 while I was pregnant, and now my son is two — and I’m still here, which says everything. After moving to Indiana, I really missed having a strong fitness community. I had lived in bigger cities before and loved being immersed in the fitness world and meeting new people, so I wasn’t sure if I’d find that same energy again. F45 completely changed that for me. From day one, the coaches have been incredibly welcoming, supportive, and motivating, and the community here is just as amazing. I’ve met so many great people and genuinely look forward to coming to class — not just for the workout, but for the people too. If you’re looking for a challenging, fun workout in a space where you feel encouraged and supported no matter where you’re starting from, this is it
