It’s a good looking building, but I guess most shops are only open for a handful of hours around lunch – I think? Only a few places were open at 3:30pm on the Friday I looked around, anyway. The market has restrooms and an ATM; plus free wifi, or at least poster signs give user and password logins (didn’t check if they were working myself.)
The data that Google Maps has for the restaurant vendors (and other orgs) listed here looks like a disorganized mess. Google Maps seems very unsure which vendors are actually closed rather than open; and for those open, Google usually seems confused by the hours. (So am I, and the Mall’s webpage definitely doesn’t resolve that.) Somebody who cares about the Market, and who knows it well, should spend a little time trying to fix most of this on Google Maps, imho, for the benefit of all involved.

Cool place to visit. It’s like a farmers market of different restaurants . Plus it has a great bar up stairs and if your lucky enough to catch a tour of the catacombs underneath. It’s worth making a day of it.
Phil Pettigrew

Great place to go if you are a foodie. This place has a wide variety of food vendors. They have crepe shops, Greek, Italian, BBQ, bakeries, dessert places, etc. It has a really fun vibe and the upstairs is ideal for families with small children. If you can try to get there before the lunch time rush. I think this is a must do in Indianapolis, though.
Jacob Edmisten

Very quaint little spot. From the outside you cant tell the great smells on the inside. Lots of options to choose from. Sadly not that many glutton free options but still great choices. The people are super friendly and helpful. Just the riggt temperature. Even with all thebfoid cooking and ovens on, very pleasant place. I had catfosh from Maxine’s it was nice. The little jewelry coner was awesome too.
Gemini Cha Barry

We loved our first time at City Market and the Catacombs tour! It was cool to view the seemingly endless hallways of brick arches and limestone pillars. However, the only negative is that we went on a Saturday where most of the vendors were closed, hence the 4 stars.

This experience was great! I think that admission was slightly over-priced and there are many up-sells within the venue that are not included with the admission fee. The atmosphere is festive and there are plenty of activities for family fun. The food was good, but expensive.
The pumpkin patch was the highlight of the trip, with so many options for selection. The prices of the pumpkins are reasonable. The variety takes the cake. Great place to visit this fall! Especially if you have kids!
Chrissy Hendrix

I liked it, my baby girl loved it ! They had animals, jumbo slide, hayride, food trucks. We really enjoyed ourselves. This was my first time at waterman’s family farm as well. 8/10 for me .
Brandi Jackson

Had a wonderful time at this farm picking out pumpkins and gourds. They have a large selection of different varieties. My friend and I had a great time picking the perfect pumpkins to put out for decorations. They had a cute little market with fresh produce. I will definitely be back. One of the owners even came out to talk to us, he was very nice and told us about some of the events they have going on.
Courtney Laker

Admission was $15. Many experiences were at additional cost. Overall value was not equivalent to similar farm experiences available elsewhere locally. We felt it was priced too high for what was offered.
There were several safety concerns. A tractor in the playground that had rusty screws sticking straight up through the seat. A combine in the playground had springs popping through the seat. The frame of the train car rode in was breaking apart and it seemed it might just fall apart during the ride. A bench was completely slumped over near the playground as well.
I would not recommend.
Amanda Meyer

I had a very nice Farm Experience also had the opportunity to go on the hayride. Happy Halloween Nice place to visit again!

I had a large order wanted to go through the regular check out however a young lady said she could help me with the self service lane.
A few items were not bagged and were left behind
Brad Williams

Filthy store, rotting produce, the supposed fresh juices were all expired and you have to scan yourself out and there were no bags and the employees and store manager were all chatting and watching all of this and didn’t offer help. I had to hunt for bags wanted paper only plastic avail and the freezers smelled like something rotted in there, the bulk section was a mess with everything mixed or empty and stale. Never coming back
ND Anna

For the second week in a row now I’ve opened up produce bought a few days prior to find it moldy. I’ve complained about moldy produce before on your receipt surveys and nothing has changed. You all have absolutely no business using the word “fresh” in your name when you sell moldy produce every single time I go in.
Rachael

Ugh! I hate self check out of any kind. Ended up ringing up an onion 4 times and no scan code for my garlic. Needless to say, I needed a cashier. 1 of 3 who were standing talking came to my aid. I was able to find fresh basil and got the items I came for even though the salad dressing was in a smaller jar. Faster in and out than Kroger.
Violet Feaster

They are a specialty grocery. They have a nice deli. They have sushi specials one day each week. Hot soups, nice produce, great seafood, wines and beer.

Excellent local farmers market! There is a variety of stands, including a good mix of local produce, specialty items, and hot food/coffee. There is plenty of parking at and nearby the market, but getting there early helps beat the large crowd! We buy lots of our weekly produce here. Many stands take card but some are cash only.
Baylee Johnson

One of the best Indy farmer’s markets.
Large assortment of local vendors selling organic vegetables, fruits, honey, delicious breakfast items, pies, dips, local coffee, sweet treats, breads and pasta plus live music!
Lots of nearby free parking options. Dog & stroller friendly.
Tabitha

Amazing produce and food vendors! Also one of the best places to take your dog and get your knives sharpened & repaired! In October the starting date goes back an hour & in November it goes indoors until Spring!
Isabella Rosebrock

It’s pretty awesome for a parking lot farmers market. Live music was nice. There was a nice variety of vendors- probably around 40. Parking was horrible. A lot of traffic- it’s behind a strip mall. But, worth a try if you are in the area.
Stacy Hess

This particular farmers market is enormous! But I still felt myself wanting more. Although there was music, some food and a covered pavilion to sit and eat in the shade, it would be really nice to incorporate some additional activities for kids… bubbles, chalk, face painting, or even just a handful of booths geared more toward them. I also feel like there’s still a ton of open space left being unused. Plenty of room for more tents, food trucks, tables with chairs and umbrellas, etc. I personally went for hanging plants but didn’t find any.

My wife and I went here to purchase a Christmas tree today which is 10 days before Christmas. The selection was fair, but the prices were pretty high. I asked the gentleman (owner?) when they mark down their prices on the trees and he said the week AFTER Christmas! He then proceeded to say that if they discounted them now that everyone would wait to buy one. I told him that since my wife and I were the only people there, that no one would know if they discounted one tree. His reaction/response was rude and unprofessional. With a smirk on his face he turned completely away from me and exclaimed that he had to buy these trees in June and it wouldn’t be fair to discount them. Personally, I wonder what they do with the trees after Christmas. I’m sure they have little to no value then. As we began to leave he said smugly that they would be there after we tried to find a tree elsewhere. If the gentleman had even said he would knock $5 off of a tree, we most likely would have bought it. However, his rude/arrogant demeanor had put me off in such a way that I would have never went back to this establishment. I am happy to report that we were treated with true Christmas spirit and hospitality at McCammon’s Irish Market, where they significantly discounted a beautiful tree to fit within our budget. I therefore recommend McCammon’s over Phillips Produce for your Christmas tree needs, as they are true entrepreneurs who listen to their customers and are very accommodating, even to first time customers such as my wife and myself.
Jeremy Poore

The staff are always incredibly friendly. They make sure you know prices before you buy so you aren’t surprised by anything. One young man helped me today. He’s just a high school student and yet he was kind enough to walk out in the rain and load up my pumpkins for me so I didn’t have to stand in the rain. If you’re looking to shop fresh and local, look no further!
Caryn Kiel

They have great produce and the mums are super nice. Especially the large ones. Grant is a really good worker. He’s very helpful and great with the customers.

New to the area and looking for fresh sweet corn. Staff was friendly and helpful. Took home berries, an incredibly sweet watermelon, peaches, tomatoes and corn. Everything is great.

We will get our trees here from now on! Recently moved to Indiana and had always done the Home Depot route. Decided to come here after bad service with HD.
Phillips produce was awesome – so happy and friendly and quick. Our daughter loved it and we’ll be back next year

Driving Wind Berry Farm is a hidden gem that offers a perfect blend of beauty and tranquility. My family and I recently visited and were blown away by the picturesque flower fields that provided the perfect backdrop for a day of bonding and creating cherished memories. The resident donkey, sweet as pie, added a delightful touch to our visit and quickly became a favorite with the younger visitors.
The farm’s serene environment and welcoming atmosphere made it an ideal spot for both locals and visitors from afar. We appreciated the down-to-earth charm and genuine hospitality that made our experience so special. If you’re looking for a place to relax, grab delicious coffee or lunch, connect with nature, and enjoy some quality family time, we highly recommend a trip to Driving Wind Berry Farm. Such a cute little gem! I can’t believe we’ve lived here nearly a year and this was 5 minutes down the road the whole time! Great place to take the kids and pick berries, see the farm animals, and grab a coffee.
ZarZarB1nks !

I had driven past this quaint spot for years and never realized they had a café. Decided to eat lunch here. especially after I saw they advertised Fat Elvis for lunch. The drive onto the property makes you feel like you are headed to a farm amidst the somewhat urban surrounding. I headed to the cafe and ordered lunch. The inside decor leaves you feeling homey with pictures of kids and folks on the wall. My Fat Elvis arrived, and I was a kid again for a moment. Toasted bread with peanut butter, banana, honey, and bacon. it was accompanied by a pickle and chips. It was quiet as the rain must have kept people away. I will certainly return to try the chicken salad. Highly recommend.
Maddie G

A great family spot year-around. We love going to pumpkin-palooza for our annual pumpkin shopping and a tour of the ever-growing farm. We’ve never done the berry picking, but it seems like they have some amazing fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries to pick. Additionally, they have done a nice job with their cozy cafe and plenty of good food and drinks options.
Alexander Mingus

Fantastic farm with wonderful people. Nate gave our group a very educational tour and engaged with my students. One of the best farm tours that I have done.

More than just the market, this is a place to connect to the community! All of the local vendors are incredibly welcoming and you can tell they take great pride in providing their products. My routine is to buy a coffee or tea and a breakfast pastry to enjoy while I peruse the many booths. IWFM offer a wonderful variety of vendors: produce, meats, bakery items, dairy products, coffees and teas, kombucha and so much more. You’ll even find non-consumables like pottery, flowers and plants, candles, soaps, pet products and more. Many vendors accept cards, and for those that don’t, Growing Places has tokens that you purchase and use just like cash. So convenient! There’s live music playing to brighten even the coldest winter days. You can even take a yoga class. It’s my favorite way to start the weekend!

You can do all your weekly shopping here through the winter months. Plenty of local produce, humane animal proteins, bakery items (including gluten free) and fun stuff like sauces, preserves, tea, coffee, etc. Some vendors only take cash, but you can purchase chips at the front door that spend like cash. We like to bring our kids, buy our breakfast, listen to some local musicians, and then buy our groceries. It’s entertainment and necessity!
Chelsea H

Nice variety of stores. Every store has friendly workers. The service is so friendly & they help you order if you have questions. It’s something for everyone here and nice seating.

Market Wagon has been our favorite way to get fresh local food for the past 4 years. We are about to move away and this wonderful service is one of the things I will miss the most!
Addie Hirschten

Customer service is non existent, phones are never answered nor messages returned, was charged for orders we did not place, yet can’t seem to get through to customer service to rectify these issues to get reimbursed.
K T

Used to be a great service. Not anymore. Terrible customer service, terrible communications, they make it SO hard to communicate the message is clearly ‘we do not want to talk to you- go away’. Message received. I have been a customer for years, with a weekly subscriptions, over two states. Now, I cannot get answers when nothing arrives, or I appear to be lied to – ‘oh the vendor is on a break’ – but you can still put their items in your cart? Really? I have an annual pass, yet I get fees charged. Now. its week 3 and nothing is arriving at all. No advice, no order, no email, no notice. My subscription is still there for multiple items, but its just not processed – why? Who knows what excuse it will be this week.
Clearly MW is positioning to go public, but its so not ready for primetime. If you avoid customer communications and you cannot process the easiest transaction – a recurring subscription, you are not ready for national primetime. I have tried for months to get this resolved – but I am finally done. Next call will be the BBB.

Had a horrible experience at Lowe’s Garden Center employees, so rather than give them my money, I left and came here instead to buy impatiens and other plants I needed. Good quality and service.

I enjoyed perusing the choices at this market. Black diamond watermelon, fresh pablano peppers and perfect plums were available today. They also have fresh honey and peaches. Check them out for immediate well picked produce.
V Bry (VPAIN)

I absolutely love this market. I can’t believe there are no reviews! I’ve gone here for years. They always have impressive sale items. Baskets of fruits and veggies for a $1.00. I’ve taken my nieces and nephews and now my own daughter. This was her first “pumpkin patch” of the year. Their selections of pumpkins, fruits, veggies, and fun decor (such as hay and stalks ) is beyond perfect. Take your family for a fun outing! The workers are very pleasant and helpful. The pumpkin that my baby chose was marked for a $1.00, but it was so tiny they let her have it for free. Thank you!
M M

I may be biased and spoiled because we live around the corner from this place, but I grab fresh fruit and vegetables from there at least two or three days a week when they’re open. It’s always a great sign of spring to see that tent pop up. I think they have a great variety and the last couple seasons have been getting far more sweet corn which typically would sell out in the past.
