Best farmers markets in Indianapolis: find options near you

Nice store but it’s larger on the outside. I was expecting more to offer. They had nice produce but I was more interested in energy drinks. This place is a lot like Sprouts: more high end organic food and drinks. They only had a few energy drinks from what I could find. They had plenty of over the counter, health and fitness aids though. That’s nice since there’s a gym right next door. I went in looking for one thing and walked out with something completely different. I was pleasantly surprised. I’ll probably be back later.

This 5 star is only for the workers in the seafood and meat department as they go over and beyond to help and serve you the right way and are very nice! Now the ones around the registers need to learn from the meat department on how to take care of customers. They hover and watch you like you’re a criminal or something! Very weird and some are extremely rude. They need customer service training badly! 1 star for them.

Really nice higher end grocery store.
Unfortunately the quality standards are not as high as Whole Foods as they stock products with ingredients that aren’t the best for you. For example, why are funyuns in a store called Fresh Thyme?
Good assortment nonetheless.

They were out of fresh meatloafs. I asked the man at the meat counter, he immediately made my 4 to take home. Great service.

Corporate office has been contacted. I tried this store again. I shop here during lent weekly due to having more organic Items. This location is a missed opportunity!
The deli associate was coughing all over the counter where they handle meat This is very unsanitary. The 50+ age associates are EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNINVITING.
It’s not our fault you have to earn extra income(just do your jobin a respective manner). Please be kind. Kindness is completely free.
The highschool/College aged group has great awareness on serving the community. They just opened a fitness center next door and if you continue to have rude people you will not make as nearly as much as you could. We would just go to Meijer or Costco and still get greeted entering and leaving ( this is why stores like this survive). The associates are a reflection of their Leaders period. Please find a better way of really coaching your older staff up it’s 2025 not 1925. The money matters. If the service is not there the money will not be there. This store would be so much more productive If you had more associates with positive intentions. Do better for everyone.

Great place to shop for fruits, vegetables, juices, and organics. One of the only places left that have bone in steaks like porterhouse, and t-bones.
Opens early 7am, in order for you to get your shopping done early.

I’ve been here twice today there going to Start me up.

We recently stayed at the Ironworks Hotel Indy and were thoroughly impressed from start to finish. Our room was super nice and impeccably clean. The attention to detail in the room design really stood out, blending luxury with a unique industrial-chic vibe that gives the hotel so much character.
We also appreciated the variety of on-site dining options available, there’s something for everyone right on the property. The location is another major plus. The hotel is conveniently situated near a great selection of restaurants and shopping, making it easy to explore the area without needing to drive far. The staff was friendly and attentive from check-in to check-out, we felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. Before departing, we had a wonderful breakfast at Rize, the hotel’s on-site breakfast spot. The food was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect send-off after a relaxing stay. We can’t recommend Ironworks Hotel Indy enough and will definitely be returning. A true gem in the heart of Indy!

Excellent hotel, staff was really pleasant. Ample food offerings onsite and in the same parking lot. Rooms were very well laid out, shower was very nice as well. Complimentary shower soaps smell wonderful.

Great property with great amenities in a great location. The room was large and nicely appointed. The hotel staff was friendly and attentive. The hotel had on-site dining and there were several dining options within easy walking distance. All at a reasonable price.

This is my favorite hotel in Indianapolis. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect, short drive off 465 but just far enough away that it is quite. The hotel has its own restaurant plus there are eight additional in the complex (very short walking distance) that offer very different cuisines and are all very good. Highly recommend this hotel.

I had a wonderful experience at Ironworks Hotel. The hotel smell was great and my room felt cozy, luxurious, was beautiful designed. The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout my stay. I also had dinner at Provision. It was absolutely delicious and highly recommend. I’d recommend it his hotel!

Perfect experience. Spent an amazing weekend here with my boyfriend. Loved the proximity to Fashion Mall and the walking distance access to multiple restaurants. So much attention to detail given to the unique interior design. Staff was courteous and fast. Great value.

My husband and I stayed at Ironworks for our wedding weekend, including a block for our bridal party and immediate guests. We stayed in the Founder’s Suite and when I say the Ironworks team made our wedding weekend an absolute dream, I mean it. They were so accommodating and attentive, they made an already stressful weekend so so so much smoother. The hotel itself is beautiful and smells amazing in every corner you walk. We held our rehearsal dinner in their Keystone conference room and worked with the Provision team for catering—Also amazing to work with and major shoutout to Tabatha for making that evening come to life! We cannot wait to come back and stay again—Thank you again Ironworks team!

I really enjoyed this farmers market. It isn’t the largest I’ve been too, but it had a nice mix of snacks/drinks and products. Every booth seemed to be high quality and every owner I interacted with was great. Parking was tough to come by, but that came as no surprise.

Excellent local farmers market! There is a variety of stands, including a good mix of local produce, specialty items, and hot food/coffee. There is plenty of parking at and nearby the market, but getting there early helps beat the large crowd! We buy lots of our weekly produce here. Many stands take card but some are cash only.

Large assortment of local vendors selling organic vegetables, fruits, honey, delicious breakfast items, pies, dips, local coffee, sweet treats, breads and pasta plus live music!

Lots of nearby free parking options. Dog & stroller friendly.

This particular farmers market is enormous! But I still felt myself wanting more. Although there was music, some food and a covered pavilion to sit and eat in the shade, it would be really nice to incorporate some additional activities for kids… bubbles, chalk, face painting, or even just a handful of booths geared more toward them. I also feel like there’s still a ton of open space left being unused. Plenty of room for more tents, food trucks, tables with chairs and umbrellas, etc. I personally went for hanging plants but didn’t find any.

Amazing produce and food vendors! Also one of the best places to take your dog and get your knives sharpened & repaired! In October the starting date goes back an hour & in November it goes indoors until Spring!

Had interesting edible items. Can taste some of them. Some organic, and some I dont know, but you can ask. And we did make purchases. You should visit. From 8a to 12n on Saturdays.

Always a good time with live music and good food. Great selections on fresh vegetables and a lots of other things. Super nice vendors would highly recommend.

They have great produce and the mums are super nice. Especially the large ones. Grant is a really good worker. He’s very helpful and great with the customers.

Decent produce, but $9 for three ears of corn and two tomatoes is excessive. A kid waited on me rather than an adult, so maybe he was bad at math.

Have amazing tomatoes and fruits but really great plants too. The people there are very friendly and helpful been going here for years

Is a locally owned vegetable stand. Very friendly staff very helpful pleasure doing business with them.

The staff are always incredibly friendly. They make sure you know prices before you buy so you aren’t surprised by anything. One young man helped me today. He’s just a high school student and yet he was kind enough to walk out in the rain and load up my pumpkins for me so I didn’t have to stand in the rain. If you’re looking to shop fresh and local, look no further!

My wife and I went here to purchase a Christmas tree today which is 10 days before Christmas. The selection was fair, but the prices were pretty high. I asked the gentleman (owner?) when they mark down their prices on the trees and he said the week AFTER Christmas! He then proceeded to say that if they discounted them now that everyone would wait to buy one. I told him that since my wife and I were the only people there, that no one would know if they discounted one tree. His reaction/response was rude and unprofessional. With a smirk on his face he turned completely away from me and exclaimed that he had to buy these trees in June and it wouldn’t be fair to discount them. Personally, I wonder what they do with the trees after Christmas. I’m sure they have little to no value then. As we began to leave he said smugly that they would be there after we tried to find a tree elsewhere. If the gentleman had even said he would knock $5 off of a tree, we most likely would have bought it. However, his rude/arrogant demeanor had put me off in such a way that I would have never went back to this establishment. I am happy to report that we were treated with true Christmas spirit and hospitality at McCammon’s Irish Market, where they significantly discounted a beautiful tree to fit within our budget. I therefore recommend McCammon’s over Phillips Produce for your Christmas tree needs, as they are true entrepreneurs who listen to their customers and are very accommodating, even to first time customers such as my wife and myself.

The only place we get great quality produce!

We came here to attend the “Big Bounce America 2024” for the world record largest bounce house!! So cool that this farm held such a huge event. So many people and parking was no issue whatsoever. I will say it was very hot this day and there is no shade but it was worth it. This farm is a hidden gem right off the interstate! Would love to go back for future activities they might have.

Visited Waterman’s family farm to get fresh handpicked vegetables.
It was almost the last of peppers, we got to pick radish, a few kinds of peppers. They sell a few varieties of veggies and spreads/jams in the store too.

Everything was Caution taped off. If you look online and see animals, rides and other activities for kids, understand you highly likely won’t have that experience. Probably fine if you just want to pick berries.

I liked it, my baby girl loved it ! They had animals, jumbo slide, hayride, food trucks. We really enjoyed ourselves. This was my first time at waterman’s family farm as well. 8/10 for me .

This experience was great! I think that admission was slightly over-priced and there are many up-sells within the venue that are not included with the admission fee. The atmosphere is festive and there are plenty of activities for family fun. The food was good, but expensive.

The pumpkin patch was the highlight of the trip, with so many options for selection. The prices of the pumpkins are reasonable. The variety takes the cake. Great place to visit this fall! Especially if you have kids!

Admission was $15. Many experiences were at additional cost. Overall value was not equivalent to similar farm experiences available elsewhere locally. We felt it was priced too high for what was offered.

There were several safety concerns. A tractor in the playground that had rusty screws sticking straight up through the seat. A combine in the playground had springs popping through the seat. The frame of the train car rode in was breaking apart and it seemed it might just fall apart during the ride. A bench was completely slumped over near the playground as well.

I would not recommend.

Lot’s of fun things to do even with the pandemic going on. Hay ride was super fun and lot’s of real cool pumpkins to choose from. Corn maze was really fun. And of course the food was good. Yes I started a sentence with “and”. Very happy with the safety protocols that were in place.

I love and order from Market Wagon year-round. Not only do I love supporting our local/Michigan farming community, I also love the local artisan products. I have had the most excellent meats (pork, beef, poultry) as well as fresh eggs, produce and prepared foods. The sourdough breads are amazing as well! Having market items delivered to my front door is a huge convenience.I highly recommend Market Wagon!

We have lived in the Chesterfield area for almost 3 years and just recently found out about the Market Wagon service. We love getting our pasture raised eggs and fresh produce delivered right to our doorstep by the friendliest driver! Knowing that we are able to support local farmers who farm responsibly AND get fresh produce is a win! Thank you!

I ordered a seasonal box from a local farm, but I received grocery store produce that is neither locally grown nor seasonal. I contacted Market Wagon using their recommended online customer service portal and was informed they would contact me within 24 hours with a resolution. It has now been four days and I have not heard anything. I cannot send additional help requests nor find a phone number to call. I’m now trying to directly contact the farm I ordered from, but I will probably do a chargeback on my card and I will definitely never use this service again.

I have been ordering from Market Wagon for several years now and have been very pleased with their products. They are all high quality and I buy most of my meat from them as well as produce and dairy items. I highly recommend them!

Local, fresh food is great ! Market Wagon provides a variety of produce & already cooked items. It is interesting to try some new foods. While there are occasionally problems, Market Wagon is quick to respond and make restitution. I have really enjoyed the experience of eating fresh, local food.

Market wagon is the best way to support local small food businesses and farms. Everything I’ve gotten has been amazing and fresh. I’ve used them for years. It’s nice to have it on demand, no subscription or scams! (Tho you can subscribe to your fave foods if you like)

Great service and customer team. With so many local farms on the platform, there are bountiful options and Market Wagon is always quick to remediate any issues that arise. We rely on MW for weekly deliveries, and we get higher quality eggs/milk/meat/butter at much lower prices than retail stores.

Garfield Park farmers market is filled with the best vendors: vegetables, meats, baked goods, flowers, tea & coffee, home goods, and more. There are many food options as well, both to eat on the spot and take home options. Mother Noble’s is an every time visit for me!

A French colleague recommended this farmers market for its high quality and flavorful produce. Baked goods, meat, cheese etc all available. A bit expensive but a very friendly and inviting place. Dogs are welcome. Plenty of parking. Parks is lovely too and nice to stroll. I suggest you come early for the best selection. Open 9 to noon.

A great Saturday morning farmers market. Love the garden vegetables, bakery food, mushrooms, and more… we try to get there every week.

I just wish some of the shoppers, like the ones in the photo were a lot more courteous as these two have no idea what the word even means or know how to be good humans. They were rude and selfish.

This may be a smaller market, but it sure is mighty! My favorite aspect (besides the wonderful vendors) is how SNAP and WIC friendly this market is. A few times throughout the summer market the WIC office comes out and helps the women and children with farmers market checks what help the farmers get their food into more people’s bellies. The market master/manager is always super friendly and helpful. Another awesome aspect is it’s open until 12:30 when most other markets close earlier. This is awesome for this those whom just can’t make it earlier. Thanks for having such a wonderful farmers market that truly cares about the people. We love you!

Big farmer’s market with a lot of choices from the usual plants and food vendors to unique vendors of mushrooms! Remain cautious with some food vendors and their small portions! I love the live music available and Garfield park is just a great park to walk in. I highly suggest going!!

More than just the market, this is a place to connect to the community! All of the local vendors are incredibly welcoming and you can tell they take great pride in providing their products. My routine is to buy a coffee or tea and a breakfast pastry to enjoy while I peruse the many booths. IWFM offer a wonderful variety of vendors: produce, meats, bakery items, dairy products, coffees and teas, kombucha and so much more. You’ll even find non-consumables like pottery, flowers and plants, candles, soaps, pet products and more. Many vendors accept cards, and for those that don’t, Growing Places has tokens that you purchase and use just like cash. So convenient! There’s live music playing to brighten even the coldest winter days. You can even take a yoga class. It’s my favorite way to start the weekend!

You can do all your weekly shopping here through the winter months. Plenty of local produce, humane animal proteins, bakery items (including gluten free) and fun stuff like sauces, preserves, tea, coffee, etc. Some vendors only take cash, but you can purchase chips at the front door that spend like cash. We like to bring our kids, buy our breakfast, listen to some local musicians, and then buy our groceries. It’s entertainment and necessity!

Nice variety of stores. Every store has friendly workers. The service is so friendly & they help you order if you have questions. It’s something for everyone here and nice seating.

Awesome this place has restaurants with the best food and pastries delicious and the atmosphere is awesome. My sister and I was out just looking for places to relax and chill this is the best.

All the vendors there are AMAZING!! Circle City Sweets have an awesome Raspberry and Goat cheese croissant that is to die for!! Hi-a-tus bar is my new favorite hangout spot, and the convo is fun. If you’re looking for a good biba tea, Boba & Everything is the place to go. Wonderfully done and priced. Another addiction I don’t need. Beast is a MUST!! Never have I had a burger that has literally made me addicted!! The candied jalapeño peppers, I could eat by the bucketful. Ill be so depressed when the winter market is over, and many vendors leave

Fantastic indoor farmer’s market. A little chilly, good for sweaters. Several produce stalls as well as a variety of cheese makers, bakers, honey producers and local entrepreneurs. Hot food stalls and live music make it a morning out my whole family looks forward to every week.

Lots of vendors and so many different things to look at/purchase! Amazing selection. Will definitely go again!

Nice people but prices are ridiculous. Was hot and sweaty. Parking difficult. Did have benches which I appreciated.

I have lived in Irvington for several years now and I love my community and this farmers market. I love the diversity of vendors that show up; food trucks, clothing, dog treats, crafts, fresh flowers, local companies, and many other wonderful participants.
That being said I feel as though the farmers market has leaned too far into artisan goods. I would really like to see a stronger presence of fresh produce vendors. The last time we were there, it was just two or three produce stalls out of a few dozen total. I think people expect a bit more than that out of a “farmers” market but that’s just my opinion. I would love for all of the current participants to stay and there just be a little more diversity in the produce.
My wife and I try to go every time, and frankly we will continue to do so in the best and worst of times. We want to encourage community events like this. But we can support and also recognize that it’s not perfect and express how we believe they could be better.

Loved meeting the artisans and vendors! I bought some beautiful handmade soap and up-cycled outdoor glass flowers. Family and dog friendly. Some vendors take cards but some are cash only. Will definitely be back!

I wish I would have read the reviews about the Margherita Pizza before I bought it. I ordered from the to-go kiosk, so didn’t have a lot of interaction with staff. The pizza was just a cheap cheese pizza with a little drizzle of balsamic. They used regular bagged mozzarella instead of mozzarella chuncks and there was no basil. The crust was flimsy and the box was smeared with balsamic. Definitely not worth $18.

The club sandwich was very yummy! Super friendly service. I like the self order kiosks, although the staff did offer to take my order if I didn’t want to use the kiosk.
Lots of clean tables in front of the market to sit down and eat or you can take it with you.

I had a margarita flatbread – it was not as advertised at all, and especially for the price, it was terrible. It was like bread with ketchup. And nothing about it was fresh. They did give me % off after asking but still… anyway, Server was great! So nice.

Disappointing! The food in the pic was $37. The soup was lukewarm and was spilled over the side, the fries were not fully cooked and the chicken sandwich took me back to stale, school lunch room days. I’m not quick to criticize, but I feel responsible to save others from my fate! Go to Shake Shack or or the popcorn place or literally anywhere else!

The only thing worse than the food was the service. You have to try to be that bad. The chicken bowl was essentially a cold mushy soup consistency with random bones you ocassionally found. Oh.. and it took 45 minutes for them to make it

I don’t think the 1 star reviews give this place justice. The food is definitely pretty expensive, and not that great, but the staff here was very nice and made sure to make the food how I specified it was meant to be made. It wasn’t too busy, and all the food tasted pretty good.

18.50 for a wild mushroom flatbread pizza. Horrible value. Absolutely no wild mushrooms or arugula on it as it was described on the menu. Would never eat here again. Do better
