We chose Conner's at the last minute because it was a quick walk from the Indianapolis Convention Center. We were in town for the Monumental Marathon (our daughter was running the half). Our favorite part was the patio out front with beautiful fireplaces. It was a magical atmosphere in which to wait for our table. The wait for the table was short, but the wait for food once ordered was about 1 hour. We asked our waitress twice for a glass in which to pour our beer, and the glass never arrived so we drank out of the can. Otherwise, the service was attentive. Perhaps they have a no glass policy for canned beverages? The food was very good once it arrived. I ordered the Iceberg Wedge salad with grilled salmon added on. It was delicious except the bacon on the top was barely cooked so I didn't eat it. Our daughter ordered the Burnt Ends brisket appetizer and the Mac & Cheese side. She enjoyed both. My husband enjoyed his Braised Short Rib dinner. The prices seemed high but were probably comparable to other downtown restaurants. I appreciated that they had gluten-friendly options notated on the menu.

Had 2 dinners at Conner’s while I was in town for the week. Comfortable and clean. Service was stellar and the food was outstanding. 1st night I had lump crab hush puppies and shrimp and grits. 2nd night I had the guacamole and steak frites. Definitely worth the trip. Thank you Darrian and Matt for the great service and awesome recommendations.

Matt was a great server! He made sure the drinks were flowing and the food was exactly like we wanted. Food was fantastic as well, had both the burger and steak across 2 visits. Cannot recommend the peach cobbler cocktail enough.

Early Friday lunch, so my son and I were ahead of any rush. Greeted promptly and politely by the Front Desk staff and guided to our table. Sky was our server and both service and food were VERY GOOD. We both ordered the crab hush puppies; crunchy, sweet and delicious. I had the fish tacos, my son had The Notorious P.I.G. (pulled pork, bacon). Since we arrived early, our food was on time and hot. Seating is plentiful with booths, tables and bar Seating. As I posted, we were early, of course YMMV. The food is great, vibe was mild energetic, acoustics not too bad. The restaurant is in the Marriott Village with self park about 5 minutes walk from the restaurant. You can even walk almost completely enclosed to Lucas Oil Stadium.

I've stayed here several times but this was the first time I ate at Connor's kitchen. The Service and food were excellent! I dined during lunch service so I ordered off of the lunch menu. My server was Andrew and he was super attentive. I immediately ordered the lump crab hush puppies and they were delicious, I definitely recommend! I also ordered the wagyu Burger in my goodness, It was worth every calorie! I really like that they toast the bun and the cheese was cheesin!!! I look forward to trying other things off of the menu as well as the dinner menu.

My partner and I were looking for the top rated food in the Indianapolis downtown area. Conner’s kitchen + bar appeared to have the highest ratings. The service was awesome. Our server was named Audrey. She was very genuine and appeared to actually care about her job and leading you in the proper direction. 10/10 for Audrey!! The food however, was not mind blowing for the price. Audrey suggested the smoked chicken wings (special spice) and it came with four different flavors. The wings were crispy and we enjoyed the hot sauce. We finished off with the burnt ends and they were a bit fatty, especially for the price. Overall, I would say if you’re looking for something more on the fancy side to attend to with your family / friends, connor’s would be a good option.

Mateo Gebon

St. Elmo was deceptively big, and it was hard for me to gauge its size from outside. It’s quite substantial, and each dining room seems to exude its own character. The staff was very professional and personable, and I was extremely happy with the service I received. I ended up splurging and getting the shrimp cocktail and a dry aged ribeye. The shrimp cocktail is famous for a good reason, and the cocktail sauce has a large quantity of horseradish. So long as you don’t exhale through your nose, it’s quite pleasant and very tasty. It’s an addictive dish. The ribeye came with some bean soup and mashed potatoes, and it all tasted great. It was a delicious steak, although I wonder if I’m really able to appreciate what the dry aging does. Maybe someday I’ll get to go back and compare it against their regular ribeye? Either way, the food and service were top notch, and it’s well worth making a reservation for a nice night out.

This is a great old-school steak house. The service is amazing. Each tux-clad server has very few tables. It has an amazing wine list. Everything I had was at the top of the scale of every where else I had the same item. Even the iced tea had a special flavor. I had the prime rib. It was beautifully trimmed and cooked to perfection. I had to try their "world famous" shrimp cocktail. It is "clear your sunuses" hot with grated horseradish. I happened to like it, as did two others in our party. It v was too much heat for one in our group. This place is one that needs to be experienced if you go to Indianapolis.

Phenomenal experience and amazing food. We went in the evening and had a great time. The service was fast and attentive. The shrimp is CRAZY HOT, but very tasty. I had the best filet mignon of my life. I was hoping for an equally tasty baked potato loaded, but it wasn’t anything tremendously special, even though it was tasty. The menu is limited, but it is all you need. They also apparently have one of the best stocked wine cellars in the state. I highly recommend this place if you want to impress someone. Five stars!

This place was top notch. This place can absolutely be used as a place to celebrate an occasion or just for a casual night out with friends. We came here to celebrate an Anniversary and there was a hand signed card waiting for us from all of the staff. Additionally, every single person that came up to our table wished us a Happy Anniversary. Service was attentive, knowledgable and friendly. The food was impeccable from start to finish! The steaks cooked to perfect temperature. And please for the love of God get the Bread Pudding. The best Bread Pudding I have ever had. At the end of our dinner, our amazing server, Jody, took us downstairs to see the wine cellar which was out of this world. All of these little touches of care and service were unbeatable and added to the memorable night.

Was out here at the convention center and had a nice treat trying this amazing long time steakhouse! Definitely one of the best I have ever eaten at the old school look of the place made me feel like I was back In time. Our server was great and the food was some of the best ever! The complimentary bean soup was amazing I could have it everyday if I could and that shrimp cocktail hit you with so much spice for like 10 seconds then it mellows out but it’s outstanding flavor! The salad filet that cut like butter the amazing potatoes and veggies and that creamed spinach was to die for! This is definitely an experience I won’t forget and I would come back to Indianapolis just for this steak house it is definitely a must try!

Without a doubt this is the most iconic restaurant in Indy, and possibly the entire state. I finally had a chance to try this steakhouse out and I came away impressed. The place oozes of nostalgia, and the dining room itself is actually pretty small and cramped. The menu is simple, focusing on steak and only has one appetizer; the famous shrimp cocktail. Even if you aren't a fan of shrimp, I recommend trying the shrimp cocktail just to say you've had it. For steak, I tried the dry aged strip which was delicious, though I'm not sure I would pay extra to get an aged steak again. It tasted pretty similar to a regular steak. The lobster bisque was delicious and I highly recommend getting a bowl if available. We tried the cheesecake for dessert which was also delicious. Service was professional and attentive. Overall this is a great steakhouse, especially if you're looking for an iconic dining experience.

Lived up to the hype. Everything from the shrimp cocktail to the high end service was exactly as I had hoped. What a great experience. The bone in ribeye was so tender and juicy. My baked potato was cooked and salted to perfection. The ham and bean soup reminded me of what Grandma used to make. The shrimp cocktail was the topic of conversation 24 hours later at dinner. My nose has almost recovered!

I have been meaning to try Mama Carolla’s for a while now and let me set the stage. First off you need need a reservation. Not that you can’t do walk ins but given how busy the place is, it’s a long wait and definitely not worth your time. Second, the ambience needs a shout out – Mama Carolla’s has won awards for its ambience and it’s beautiful. Next the food, every single thing we ordered was so so so delicious. The artichoke fritters were so delicious and I couldn’t stop at one. The pasta too good was definitely too good! It was a lot for me alone and I definitely recommend sharing unless you can fill up on just pasta. The dessert was Okayish and I don’t see that taking over the fritters and the pasta. Service was very quick despite being so busy and we had a great time. A very festive atmosphere and it was definitely worth it!

I loved sitting outside, great atmosphere. The food was delicious and I recommend the steamed mussels as a starter. The flavor was strong but not overwhelming, and it was perfect to dip bread into. Very tasty. The veal medallion was also very good. If you’re lucky, you’ll get Ashley as your waitress. She did an amazing job accommodating us and I would come back just for her service. You can tell that she has a lot of experience in hospitality.

Delicious, hearty portion sizes and great service. Definitely do yourself a favor and get a reservation and get dessert, you won’t regret it! I ordered the manicotti with a meatball on the side and WOW was that ever a delicious plate of food. The meatball was juicy and packed with flavor as well. The canolli was heavenly and the perfect ending to a tremendous dinner! The waitress was very polite, knowledgeable, and had great suggestions for what to order.

We recently went to celebrate a friends birthday and she has spoken very highly of the restaurant, so we had high expectations. Our server was pleasant and attentive throughout the evening. We were seated in the screened in porch area; we requested indoor seating so just an FYI for anyone wanting to sit inside the house, you might need to further clarify which indoor seating you are wanting. We ordered the bruschetta which had smoked mozzarella cheese on top of it. The cheese was it’s saving grace as it wasn’t as flavorful as you would expect and lacked basil or balsamic. The «Holly’s Artichoke Fritters» were a favorite for the table and if returned, I would order them again. At the servers suggestion, I ordered the Rosemary Chicken Lasagna that came with a side salad. The salad was mainly wilted/brown iceberg lettuce and their house dressing was more oil than anything else. The lasagna was decent lasagna with the sauce tasting like something straight from a Prego jar. We did not order dessert as we had a second destination for that.Overall, it’s a pleasant restaurant with beautiful architecture and friendly service, but wouldn’t call it the best Italian around, nor were there any standout dishes that would draw me back for a second visit.

Second time here & it was as wonderful as I remembered. The prosciutto and melon appetizer was a delight to the senses – mixing sweet & salty. Our server recommended the Mediterranean salad & it was also delicious. The service was timely & professional. A great date night spot! The Mediterranean pasta was extremely delicious and the spumoni gelato was like no other! Highly recommend if you’re looking for the best Italian dishes around, but expect a wait unless you have a large party with reservations.

This place is great but very busy…I recommend making a reservation online or showing up with the 4:30 people. It did seem like it was clearing out around 8pm when we left. Food was great and it’s a very cute spot. Service was amazing!

My wife and I came back to Livery for the second time after a while, and we loved it just as much as the first time. We’re big fans of the CRG restaurants in general, and Livery definitely lived up to it. Our server Trinity was awesome. Super friendly and attentive without being over the top. We asked if they had any hot sauce and she brought out a habanero hot sauce that was AMAZING — it seriously took the food to another level. That little touch made a big difference. Food-wise, everything was great. The calamari and yucca fries were perfect to start. The chicken enchiladas were really good, and the skirt steak was just incredible — easily the highlight. I had the Carriage Margarita and it was spot on. We ended with the strawberry tres leches and that was fantastic too. Overall just a really great experience. We’ll definitely be back again.

Went on a Thursday night. Service was good. We had the guacamole, calamari, and steak empanadas to start. All were fantastic. Skirt steak and taco salad (sub chicken) were ok, but we would do all apps next time. Wish they sold emanadas by the each, or do a flight to taste one of each.

My wife took me here for my 40th birthday. We ordered calamari, beef empanada, and lamb empanad. For our main dish, we both ordered skirt steaks. The food was excellent. Everything was good and they did a great job with matching a perfect dip and sauce with dishes. The thing that impressed us the most was our server Josh. He was an exceptional and served us with love and professionalism. Serving a complimentary chips on house is very nice of the business. Overall, it was a great experience for us and we definitely will come back.

My husband and I first time at this establishment we were referred by some friends. Came for dinner the place was booming since we did not have a reservation there was like a ten minute wait. The hostess was very friendly, informative and professional. Our server Josh was nice attentive with good personality. We had the chicken empanadas which were amazing, Green Chile Lamb, and Chicken Enchiladas. All of the food was amazing well seasoned and deliciously put together. My husband tried the cocktail called «What we aren’t gonna do» with Tito’s in it and blood orange. Would definitely recommend this place and will return🔥🔥👍

Came to Livery after the Colts and Raiders game. My husband got Skirt Steak. Probably one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. The drinks were very good too. Empanadas were very flavorful. Would definitely recommend eating here if you’re looking for Mexican food while being in downtown Indy.

We’re living in Indy for a while as traveling healthcare workers and love trying new spots. We were excited to visit Livery, and our experience was a bit mixed. Our server was excellent…friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. She raised this review to 4 stars. The atmosphere was great as well. The calamari was very good, and the Carriage House margarita was excellent. Unfortunately, the entrées didn’t meet expectations. The birria lacked flavor and seasoning, and the carrots were undercooked and crunchy. The mushroom empanadas also came out slightly cool in the middle. Because our server was so wonderful, we chose not to raise these issues during our visit. Overall, we have mixed feelings but would consider returning for drinks, appetizers, and the patio atmosphere during warmer weather.

Huge wine selection, the old fashioned was a hit. Getting the horseradish gorgonzola butter topping for the steak is a must! Steaks were cooked perfectly to medium rare as we requested. The sashimi seared tuna with the dipping sauce was amazing that could have been a meal by itself. We knew the price was going to steep, but it really is a fantastic meal. It's hard to eat any other steak once you've had one of theirs.

My first time at Harry and Izzys, definitely going back again. From the interiors to the food and service was excellent. Its best to make reservations. Upscale so dress appropriately. Our server was on it with our orders…the food was tasty and portions good. The Brussel sprouts were a hit. We loved it!

The shrimp cocktail is so good. That’s a must have to try!! all the food is delicious here. there’s nothing specific that you should try. It’s all really good. Sat at the bar and the service was outstanding. Fantastic atmosphere. The drinks were fire. Highly recommend the monkey house if you’re a bourbon fan. I had the hamachi crudo and the pork sugo. Both were elegantly layered in flavors and texture. Hoping to try the tasting menu next time I go.

Bluebeard provides a new daily menu. Their waitstaff, including the chef, are extremely accommodating when it comes to allergies. Whatever the chef curates, you can trust the dish will be more than impeccable – expect umami! Exceptional gratitude goes to this establishment as it can be challenging to find excellent dishes that can accommodate challenging allergies. Highly recommend this restaurant.

If you’re in Indianapolis, Bluebeard is a must-visit. The environment was relaxed and inviting, and the food was absolutely fabulous. We ordered the Mushroom Ragu and the Semi-Boneless Half Chicken—both were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. This place absolutely deserves Bib Gourmand recognition and should be high on anyone’s list when visiting Indy.

The hype for this place is totally worth it and I’m glad I got to experience their artistry in food and drinks. I was meeting a friend for a Friday night dinner. We were shown to the table upon arriving at our reservation. We ordered their famous fried Brussels sprouts, summer panzanella salad, Lumache and Vanilla cake for the dessert. Salad was a treat and the pasta was definitely one of the best I’ve had. Definitely going back to try more items from the menu.

Oyster was fresh and delicious. The chicken sandwich is very messy to eat with the sauce immediately dripping. The chicken was also a little too tough to chew. Maybe something else on the menu would be better to get next time.

Had a really enjoyable dinner here! The menu is unique and interesting, and the interior is cozy and welcoming, which made the whole experience feel relaxed. We started off with chips and dip, and even though it’s simple, it was seriously fantastic—perfectly seasoned and addictive. For my main course, I went with the large panzanella salad, and it was filling, fresh, and full of flavor. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared, and the portion sizes were generous. The vibe of the place is casual but inviting, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal with friends or a low-key dinner out. I would definitely come back if I’m in the area again—it’s one of those places where the combination of unique menu, cozy atmosphere, and tasty food makes you want to return. Highly recommend checking it out!

A unique menu and cozy interior. Went here for dinner and started off with chips and dip, which was simple, yet so fantastic. I had the large panzanella salad for my main course, which was filling. I would happily go back if I was in the area again.

We had a great experience here! The parking lot is huge, but it was completely full when we arrived — that alone tells you how popular this place is. Luckily, we called ahead and made a reservation, which I highly recommend because the restaurant was packed. Even though it was busy, everything ran smoothly. The staff was super friendly from the moment we walked in. The place was clean and well-kept, which is impressive considering how crowded it was. Our server, Enrique, was fantastic — very nice, attentive, and welcoming. He made sure we had everything we needed, and the service was surprisingly fast despite the crowd. I ordered the salmon, and it was absolutely delicious — cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The prices were also very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. Overall, a wonderful experience. Great food, great service, and a lively atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

I really want to give 3 stars for my last time experience, but it won't do justice for my first time experience. Went here twice, the first one was amazing, kudos to the waiter (white haired guy with glasses) superb service. We sat by the kitchen window, and oh what a different service between nearby kitchen area and the bar area. The bar area waitress was giving "i don't want to be here" vibe to us (this was the second time we come), order came wrong and not even saying sorry for it. Luckily the manager came and she basically saved the day since it was my birthday celebration. The food was significantly different despite we ordered the same artichoke hearts with hummus. The first time was so tasty, they grilled the artichoke so evenly, meanwhile the second one there was barely any charred on the surface and it tasted super briny and hard to chew too. Chilean sea bass definitely tasty and i recommend that, meanwhile I can't say so for wild alaska butterfish. The overall taste was salty since they submerged everything in shoyu, so the rice underneath the fish taste only salty and soggy. Overall i recommend this place to eat, but avoid bar area if you prefer a more attentive service

Hubby and I celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary at Seasons 52 this evening. It was our first time here and I wish I could remember our waitress name, I'm sorry I can't but she did an amazing job, very friendly, welcoming and sharing with us her favorites on the menu…one being the "Sea Bass". I took her suggestion and ordered it and OMGOODNESS…it was so delicious and flavorful!!!!!! My husband ordered the Filet Mignon and Lobster, it was amazing as well. We also ordered the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms, everything was so DELICIOUS, Tender and packed with Flavor. We end by ordering dessert, he had the Truffle Cheesecake and I had the Blueberry, Key-lime dessert that the waitress suggested was her favorite and it was delicious!! The only issue I would say is that the desserts are too small. I would have loved a big bowl because it tastes so yummy! The atmosphere was nice and cozy, we had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary and we will definitely be returning. Thank you for making it special for us!!🥰🎉👏🏾

We made dinner reservations to celebrate Galentine's. We were greeted when we walked in. They had a memorial table for Hailey Buzbee which was the cutest thing. I asked if she worked there and they said no. It was for the community. I loved this SO much. Our waiter was helpful. We made in in time for Happy Hour. The menu was a little misleading but now I know what to expect for next time. I ordered a mocktail and flatbread. My water was never refilled. We ended the dinner with dessert. The bathrooms were clean.

Standard American chain restaurant with good food and restively good ambiance. We got the salmon, lamb, tuna and veggie options. All of them were good. All in all, a decent dining experience.

My husband & I had very positive experiences at Seasons 52. We had our engagement dinner at Seasons 52, then we had our wedding reception there in one of the private event rooms! We had a smaller wedding with 36 guests, and Seasons 52 was the perfect place to host it. They were easy to communicate with and did a great job setting up & decorating. We had 5 guests with food allergies, and they were very diligent about preventing cross-contamination. We were extremely impressed with the good service and professionalism of the S52 staff. Our guests loved the food and had a wonderful time. Thank you again for making our day even more special!

I love this place, the last time I came, I was not that impressed with the food or the service that I got. But last night, dinner was absolutely amazing and our server was great. I think his name was Gary, but he was amazing. Very attentive and polite, he did have a soft spoken voice. So I wish he would have spoke up just a little bit more because I did have trouble hearing him.But he was absolutely amazing

First time visiting here with my partner while exploring the charming town. The ambience is vibrant and inviting, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Service was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel welcomed. The food was outstanding—richly flavorful and expertly prepared—and the drinks were also enjoyable, with a good selection. They offer mocktails, which was a fantastic option for someone not drinking alcohol, with creative and refreshing flavors. The sticky chicken wings had a perfect balance of sweet and spicy, with a satisfying kick from the chili. The lamb meatballs looked mouthwatering, tender, and juicy; the sauce was a unique blend of herbs and spices that we had never tasted before. Great job, Union 50—we were truly impressed and had a memorable experience.

Came to this popular place in downtown for a business dinner on a Tuesday night and the place was packed. Glad we had reservations and we were sat properly. Our waiter was the ultimate professional. We tried one of their fries and the Mexican poutine for appys. Both were very unique and yummy. Didn’t realize they were also half off. I had their pork chop for main course. Very nicely presented, nicely cooked and very yummy. Couple of the guys got the chicken cacciatore which looked delicious in a nice tomatoe sauce with olives and veggies. One got the kimchi meatloaf that was unique and the other their duck. Everybody finished their meal and enjoyed it. We skipped dessert as we were all full. Busy restaurant and very lively.

My partner and I stopped in on a Saturday night around 8pm for a late dinner. They did not have any available seats, so we sat at the bar where they have open seating. It was our first time here and we enjoyed the lively atmosphere. WHAT WE ATE: Medjool Dates (4/5) – sticky sweet, the apple gastrique was one thing too many Crab Cake – (3/5) great crab cake, swimming in too much sauce unfortunately Wood-Fired Wild Mushrooms – (5/5) **REQUESTED Umami Marinated Tofu SUBSTITUTE. I cannot praise this dish enough. Definitely get the substitute tofu! It is thin sliced, lightly seared tofu with good flavor. Overall rating: the food was excellent for the most part. The tofu substitute on the wild mushroom dish is definitely the way to go! Delicious. However, there was way too much sauce on the crab cake dish, and our service was a little to be desired –seated at the bar yet not offered a refill on my soda and waited a bit for the bill.

The food is great and the service is amazing. The board we had tonight was a great mix of different flavors. The potato bacon was phenomenal!. It's a little pricey but you're going to get what you pay for and at the end of the day it's worth every penny.

We loved our time at Union 50 tonight! Lindsay was incredible, she recommended the Green Light and Under the Surface cocktails, the Medjool Dates app, and the Lamb Cassoulet and Pan Fried Gnocchi (add chicken!) as entrees. We loved every bite and finished with some house made chocolates. Highly recommend!

Overall average and not really special, despite everyone raving about about this spot. Soggy gnocchi, wings were SUPER salty. All 3 dishes weren’t as nuanced as I expected despite the restaurant being positioned as chef-driven – flavor seemed to be flat all throughout with just a little sweetness and saltiness to everything. Service was also sloppy and unfriendly (also rushed us through ordering), my table was wet from spilled water when I first sat down? Wouldn’t come back.

My wife and I visited for Valentine’s Day while in town. I am happy to say every single part of the experience was phenomenal. The service, food, drinks, etc. were excellent and Chef Tyler Shortt and his crew deserve recognition for the restaurant they have built. We will be visiting any time we are in Indy!

I’ve been to Tinker several times now, and it’s always a great experience from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. The food is consistently delicious, and I love that their menu constantly rotates; every new iteration is beautifully executed. I always leave happy and already looking forward to the next visit!

Amazing from start to finish. The Korean mushroom appetizer could have been a meal in and of itself. Ive never had a scallion pancake, but don’t overlook it, because it pairs so nicely with the slightly spicy sauce on the mushrooms. We were seated in a roomy and comfortable booth in the back corner somewhat away from the traffic which was great. Immediately upon being seated we were greeted with water and a champagne toast. Important to note our water glasses were never dry. They must have come by 10 times to refill them which was a really nice touch. For our main course we chose the duck confit and shrimp pasta, both highly recommended by our server, Nick. The duck was out of this world. Fall off the bone tender and just as flavorful as you could imagine. I believe it came on a carrot rissoto which was a perfect pairing. The pasta was also great. For cocktails we both had tequila. He had a take on a Paloma that was the special. It was a little different but still good. I thoroughly enjoyed my spicy marg. We really had not anticipated getting dessert but he couldn’t help himself and ordered the ricotta donuts with espresso ice cream and chocolate pearls. He picked the plate clean. Everyone we encountered was attentive and helpful and the food was delicious. We can’t wait to go back next time we are in downtown indy.

My husband and I came in for the first time this weekend. The service was nothing short of spectacular! Having a bubbles toast to start the evening was chef’s kiss! We started with two cocktails off their specials menu and both were insanely delicious and each offered a new take. My husband’s steak was cooked perfectly and he nearly cleaned the plate. As a vegan, I ordered the curried cauliflower. The cauliflower steak was cooked well and delicious. The sauce, however, was very sweet and acidic, almost like pure apple juice with a hint of cinnamon (I assume it was the pomegranate molasses). My potatoes were a little under, as well as my rice. I wanted to love it, but couldn’t. We were so excited for the peanut parfait but it was unfortunately not being offered when we went to order desserts. While I wasn’t 100% satisfied with my food, we agreed we would love to come back when the next iteration of the menu comes out. We really loved everything about our experience except for my main plate. I can’t say enough about the wonderful service!!

Have much nostalgia going to Tinker Street back in 2017 on a date (with my now spouse) – that when we ended up visiting Indy to walk down memory lane we just had to try it again. Did not disappoint – even after 8 years this restaurant is a testament to consistency and quality. Started with the summer salad which was fresh and delicious. Got the Salt of the Earth cocktail to pair -super interesting and deceptively strong. Got the crab scampi and black cod as mains. Scampi was delicious, and the cod was truly special-most tender and buttery fish I have ever had – the texture is just on another level. For dessert, our waitress recommended the Pavlova, which was absolutely the right call – just a beautiful fruity palate cleanser; which I subsequently washed down with an equally phenomenal espresso martini. Long live Tinker Street – would love to come yet again whenever we get a chance to do Indy again.

4-Star Review for Tinker Street Tinker Street nails it with exceptional service and solid food in a cozy, intimate setting. The restaurant is definitely on the smaller side—think charming, not cramped (unless you’re claustrophobic, then… maybe charming and cramped). The food? Good. Not «write home to grandma» good, but definitely «text your foodie friend» good. Creative flavors, nice presentation, and portions that won’t leave you hangry. Now, let’s talk about the unsung hero of the night: the Water Guy. I don’t know his name, but this man treats hydration like a calling. I swear I never saw the bottom of my glass. He refilled it like he was defusing a bomb—calm, precise, and absolutely not here for your thirst. Give that man a raise. Or a cape. Only odd thing? The bathrooms are just a few steps from the kitchen. Not a huge deal, but it’s a little weird when your path to the restroom feels like you might accidentally be mistaken for a sous-chef. Overall, a great experience. Come for the food, stay for the water.

Great restaurant close to downtown. The service is great and the servers are knowledgeable about the menu and wine. They always have a vegan and gluten free entree. When you first sit down you get a small glass of champagne which is a nice touch. On our last visit we got the smoked carrots and they were shockingly good. The carrot soup was excellent and then for entrees I got long trumpet mushrooms and my wife got the Sacchetoni en Brodo. She said hers was good. The peanut parfait is amazing and a must get to finish the meal. It is on the pricier side but it is with it in my opinion.

My boyfriend and I went there this past weekend for our 4 year anniversary. The service was out of this world! We ordered the bread plate, potato croquettes, lobster bisque soup & a caesar salad for our starters and they all were so delicious! The lobster bisque soup is the best I’ve ever had. For our mains I had the filet mignon and it was cooked to a perfect medium, which is usually hard to do on such a thick steak but they nailed it. He had the Delmonico ribeye and it was so juicy and cooked perfectly as well. Our sides were fries & steamed broccoli they both were very good. Lastly, they brought out a huge cookie topped with vanilla ice cream for our anniversary, just when we thought we couldn’t eat anymore, it was so delicious we just had to eat it! We will definitely be coming back here. This is one of the best steak houses in Indy. I highly recommend this place.

Met here with friends for PRI, nice atmosphere, friendly staff did a great job of serving 12 of us. Lots of choices on menu, decided on the chicken Parm for myself, my only complaint is cold plates suck the heat right out of the meal. Lobster Mac n Cheese was excellent, as was the salmon.

We had a great evening of celebration with the group I was with. This place had the vibe of an old school steakhouse. Its nestled right in downtown Indianapolis next to Lucas Oil Stadium and Gainbridge Fieldhouse. This evening was opening night for the Pacers. Our food was really good. I had some French onion soup. Our appetizer was the signature spicy shrimp cocktail that had just enough kick from the horseradish cocktail sauce. We shared some wagyu A5, a 34 oz tomahawk ribeye and a huge porterhouse. We shared family style the cream style corn, roasted carrots, and lobster Mac.and cheese. It was all very good!!

Food was excellent, service went above and beyond. It was our anniversary so we got menus printed with Happy Anniversary and were seated upstairs with no one else so it was nice and quiet. Bob and his staff were amazing. We got the free cookie for dessert for our Anniversary which was so good. The Japanese wagyu was EXCELLENT. Cooked to perfection, seasoned very well and no knife needed. The French onion soup was VERY good. We will definitely be back.

The food was delish. Our server was so fun. Our group had a good time. My one critique for this upscale restaurant, the ladies room needs addressed. One toilet seat would slide and the other the whole toilet was unstable. 3 ladies at our table and we all 3 spoke on it. We were a bit surprises by that. Otherwise the experience was pretty good 🙂

Frequently asked questions about gourmet restaurants in Indianapolis

What defines a "gourmet" restaurant in Indianapolis?

The term "gourmet" when applied to a restaurant signifies a commitment to delivering a truly elevated culinary experience. In Indianapolis, this generally translates to using high-quality, seasonal ingredients, often sourced locally and sometimes internationally. Expect a focus on complex flavor profiles, artistic plating, and an extensive wine list – but ultimately, it’s about a restaurant’s dedication to crafting a meal that’s both delicious and memorable. It’s not just about expensive food; it’s about meticulous execution and a passion for exceptional dining.

How do I choose a gourmet restaurant without knowing what to expect?

Research is key! Start by consulting reputable review sites like Yelp and Google Reviews, paying close attention to detailed customer reviews. Look beyond the star rating and read about the restaurant’s atmosphere, service, and the specific dishes people enjoyed or didn’t. Websites like Eater Indianapolis and local food blogs can provide expert opinions and restaurant guides. Checking the restaurant’s social media presence can also offer insights into their menu and events.
