Yong'Alterations

I am beyond happy with my experience at Yong's Alterations! I had custom sleeves added to my wedding dress, and they turned out even better than I imagined! I showed them my vision, and they absolutely nailed it. The whole process was super smooth, and the 10-week turnaround from drop-off to pick-up felt really reasonable. If you need alterations and want someone who really knows their stuff, I can’t recommend Yong’s Alterations enough. They made my dress even more perfect, and I’m so grateful for their amazing work!

The best alteration place in Indy! Both my sisters got their wedding dresses altered here and the women here have provided excellent service and were so kind. Highly recommend!

All of the ladies who work here are very kind, professional and quick! I couldn't believe how fast my dress got pinned up perfectly. The turn around time was also a lot quicker than I expected. My dress fit perfectly and I'm so happy with how everything turned out.

Had used Yongs for years. Great spot. Recently, however, last few services have not been up to previous standard. Most recently I dropped off 4 pairs of pants, was measured and left instructions per usual. Upon pickup I see they cut off the original hems on all my pants! What a lazy way to alter! I am so so bummed about this, they ruined 2 pairs of pants and the others don't look great. One of these was a pair of sashiko denim from Japan that can't be replaced. I am giving 3 stars for the previous years of service... but I will never be going here again... ever.

Really expensive ($155 for just a simple hem on a bride’s maid dress)… I would’ve done it if I had a sewing machine. But it was done well! Clean sewing lines, exact color of the original hem. Also very quick. But the price was twice the cost of the original dress

I brought my bridesmaid dress to Yong’s Alterations to have the bust area adjusted, as the original cup size was too large and looked a bit unnatural. I specifically requested that the cup be replaced with a smaller size. However, when I returned to pick up the dress shortly before leaving for the wedding, I saw that an additional cup had been added instead of replacing the original one. During the fitting, I expressed my concern that the chest now appeared significantly larger than my natural size and that I felt uncomfortable. Unfortunately, my concerns weren’t acknowledged, they told me to keep the double cup despite how it looked and felt. As someone with a smaller chest, I felt like my preferences weren’t fully considered in the alteration process, especially since I tried communicating how I felt about the alteration and was still told I should wear extra padding. I was hoping for them to be more understanding, since every tailor I’ve been to has tried to do this instead tailoring the dress to my natural size. Sadly, the dress still doesn’t fit properly and with the wedding so soon, I won’t have time to correct it elsewhere and it looks horrible :(. If you’re smaller chested, this may not be the best option for dress alterations. Also, I was charged $90 for the extra cup, which I don’t feel was fair given that I had clearly expressed my discomfort with how it looked during the fitting.

We had such a wonderful experience with Yong’s for our wedding attire! My partner and I both had our outfits altered here. The staff was so friendly and chatty. The prices are very reasonable and much less than similar places in the area. We had the following alterations done: Jumpsuit - shoulders taken up, length adjusted Dress - shoulders taken up, waist taken in, tulle skirt hemmed, bustle added Everything turned out excellent, and we got our items back quickly! I got my dress back in less than a month, and I didn't even have to come for another fitting because it fit so well. I definitely recommend them for wedding alterations!
