I went to her last minute needing alterations on my wedding dress that was WAY too big on me. She got it done within a week and a half for an amazing and reasonable price!! My dress was more on the complicated side in my opinion, but she made it work and even added extra straps which made me love the dress so much more!!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! My experience here was everything you could ever want. I asked for the moon and she gave me the sun and stars too. After some debate my (now) husband and I decided that my initial dress was not it…three weeks before we were set to get married. I bought a dress from an online vendor and had ordered the size closest to me. I found this shop and asked if they could make my alterations in a WEEK! Not only did they alter my dress but also the overskirt. When it was done the dress fit me LIKE A GLOVE! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day. I cannot recommend this place enough to everyone that asks. A million thanks to the hard work they put in!

Amazing work! She had to re make the top of my daughters wedding dress twice, as she’s expecting. Hemming was extremely difficult as the bottom is completely applique. Rose did an amazing job. I had my wedding dress altered for my August 2025 wedding and my maid of honor, my groom, and all four groomsmen had their outfits altered by LD Alterations for the wedding! When I received my wedding dress from the bridal shop it was massive on me and did not fit at all. Mina took extra care to ensure the dress fit me like a glove! She worked quickly but with careful expertise. She did a bustle for the dress’ train and it was done so perfectly! The dress looked gorgeous for the reception and it truly exceeded my expectations.

The groomsmen suits turned out wonderful and appeared tailor-made. The groom, Zach, and my maid of honor Alison have been going to LD Alterations for years and their suit and dress fit them just right. Mina did such amazing work for 7 outfits in two months!

I went to LD in early January when I first started my 12-week long wedding planning extravaganza. I brought in my Grandma’s dress that she had preserved after her wedding in 1960, and I crossed my fingers that LD would be able to work her magic that I read about in other reviews, because the dress was waaay too small for me. I couldn’t even get it zipped up when I first brought it in (see first photo)! Within 3 weeks, for a very reasonable price, she managed to make it bigger using fabric from detached sleeves that came with the dress, and without needing to add a corset back. When I tried on the dress again, it zipped up! Cue the excitement!!! I appreciated her step-by-step method of altering the dress; rather than immediately adding a corset back and changing the entire look from the original, she only made small, necessary adjustments and asked me to come back in to see if anything else needed to be done before she made bigger changes.

After my second visit when the dress actually zipped all the way up, it was only a matter of minor fixes to perfect the fit of the dress, which she was able to complete in 2 weeks. When all was said and done, I had the finished dress in my hands 5 weeks after my first visit to LD, and I know she would’ve been willing and able to do that even faster if I had less time. Before I took it home, she reminded me that I could come in any time at no extra cost If there were any emergencies, even if that meant coming in the day of/day before if a zipper broke or some other mishap occurred. She said she prioritizes brides’ dresses being perfect for the wedding, and she meant it. Thankfully, I didn’t need anything else done to the dress after I took it home in February, but I felt so relaxed knowing that was an option just in case.

Additionally, 6 days before the wedding, I brought my husband’s suit pants to her for tailoring, and 2 days later, they fit him perfectly. Not only is LD extremely detailed and precise with her work, she is also kind, respectful, understanding, reassuring, and an overall wonderful person. I will be coming to her any time I need alterations in the future, and I highly recommend her to anyone else that needs alterations – big or small. Thank you, LD, for making my dress fit perfectly! I felt like a princess on my wedding day because of your work!

I trusted them with my wedding dress, which was not an easy dress to alter! She did amazing with it for a VERY reasonable price. I am so glad I found her and would recommend anyone to trust them with alterations for your big day and beyond.

My first time at LD alterations and I can say the service is great, she is fast, friendly and worked with my budget. I had my wedding gown adjusted at the hips and hands and it came out perfectly well. Fabulous experience at Men’s Wearhouse, 5658 E 82nd. Parrish was exceptionally good at his job – fitting my son into a tuxedo and offering varying options to buy or rent. What I appreciated is his consideration for total cost because we have 3 men to outfit so he offered all options but didn’t try to push into any specific routes.
He has a great personality and knows how to engage with all ages. It’s nice to still have store employees who care about customer service!

I wanted to share that my husband’s and I first time experience at Men’s Wearhouse was great! We went to shop for a tux to purchase for a black tie event. As soon as we walked in the door, we were immediately greeted by staff and then serviced by the manager Parrish. He was knowledgeable about the different style tux’s and details each one had. He also had great recommendations for accessories and shoes. With a lot to consider, we left to check another store but knew to come back where we first started. After returning, it was busier with less staff available and you could feel the “pressure”. However, the whole staff was ultimately taking care of us customers with grace! Parrish greeted us again, and we told him we wanted to purchase the CK Tux. Once he was finished with the customers ahead, he completed my husband’s fitting for alterations. We are soon to pick up the finished product! Can’t wait to see and pictures coming soon! I highly recommend Men’s Wearhouse. Ask for Parrish!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. They measured my fiancé for a suit then made about 5 alterations, none of which helped to make the suit fit better, before they said they wouldn’t alter it anymore. They were rude during the majority of our interactions. The seamstress was the rudest of them all. I honestly can’t believe how awful the alterations look. That’s literally all they do – help fit suits to people. Can someone please explain how they felt they were just done doing alterations when one pant leg is clearly longer than the other? It’s laughable. I highly recommend NOT going to this store if you want a suit that fits you.

This location is great! The store had great selection and the deals on the clearance rack were too good! I got four different suits for $35 each because it was such a good deal I had to get all the colors. And I was looking for bright colored suits which are hard to find, but they had a variety of colors including the pink I was looking for.

Justin was super helpful! He helped me find the color I was looking for, get me sized, did the tailoring, and ordered the pants I wanted online. He provided exceptional customer service! I came to the store 3 times (to pick up my online order and then my tailoring) and Justin was there each time, and he recognized me, knew what I needed, and was ready to help me out when I walked in.

The tailoring services are well done and reasonably priced. I got both the jacket and pants a size up from my size, and they were able to tailor it down and it fits very well despite not being my size originally. And the tailoring cost less than an outside tailor would have: it was $30 to slim the jacket and $21 to take the waist down of the pants.

I had such a pleasant experience with Parrish at store 4303. We had quite the substantially sized party and despite the logistical difficulties that come with such a large party, Parrish more than satisfied our needs and surpassed expectations. Fitting multiple people in a timely manner, with a funny, entertaining and positive attitude. He possessed phenomenal recommendations and vision. Absolutely would recommend to my friends, family and colleagues.

Parrish is the manager of this Men’s Wearhouse location. He says this suit jacket was professionally altered by his store to fit me perfectly. I am contacting the corporate offices and the BBB to obtain a refund or pursue other legal options.
** I did email the “owner” as the reply suggested but have had no response. I hope they will respond and issue my refund to amicably resolve this issue before further action is taken

Good place for men’s essentials and tailoring service. They offer rental for special occasions as well. It was an easy, friendly, and effective visit for a last-minute event that we needed to pull together a good-looking outfit.

I am beyond happy with my experience at Yong’s Alterations! I had custom sleeves added to my wedding dress, and they turned out even better than I imagined! I showed them my vision, and they absolutely nailed it. The whole process was super smooth, and the 10-week turnaround from drop-off to pick-up felt really reasonable. If you need alterations and want someone who really knows their stuff, I can’t recommend Yong’s Alterations enough. They made my dress even more perfect, and I’m so grateful for their amazing work!

All of the ladies who work here are very kind, professional and quick! I couldn’t believe how fast my dress got pinned up perfectly. The turn around time was also a lot quicker than I expected. My dress fit perfectly and I’m so happy with how everything turned out.

Had used Yongs for years. Great spot. Recently, however, last few services have not been up to previous standard.

Most recently I dropped off 4 pairs of pants, was measured and left instructions per usual. Upon pickup I see they cut off the original hems on all my pants! What a lazy way to alter! I am so so bummed about this, they ruined 2 pairs of pants and the others don’t look great. One of these was a pair of sashiko denim from Japan that can’t be replaced.

I am giving 3 stars for the previous years of service… but I will never be going here again… ever.

Really expensive ($155 for just a simple hem on a bride’s maid dress)… I would’ve done it if I had a sewing machine. But it was done well! Clean sewing lines, exact color of the original hem. Also very quick. But the price was twice the cost of the original dress

I brought my bridesmaid dress to Yong’s Alterations to have the bust area adjusted, as the original cup size was too large and looked a bit unnatural. I specifically requested that the cup be replaced with a smaller size. However, when I returned to pick up the dress shortly before leaving for the wedding, I saw that an additional cup had been added instead of replacing the original one. During the fitting, I expressed my concern that the chest now appeared significantly larger than my natural size and that I felt uncomfortable. Unfortunately, my concerns weren’t acknowledged, they told me to keep the double cup despite how it looked and felt. As someone with a smaller chest, I felt like my preferences weren’t fully considered in the alteration process, especially since I tried communicating how I felt about the alteration and was still told I should wear extra padding. I was hoping for them to be more understanding, since every tailor I’ve been to has tried to do this instead tailoring the dress to my natural size. Sadly, the dress still doesn’t fit properly and with the wedding so soon, I won’t have time to correct it elsewhere and it looks horrible :(. If you’re smaller chested, this may not be the best option for dress alterations. Also, I was charged $90 for the extra cup, which I don’t feel was fair given that I had clearly expressed my discomfort with how it looked during the fitting.

We had such a wonderful experience with Yong’s for our wedding attire! My partner and I both had our outfits altered here. The staff was so friendly and chatty. The prices are very reasonable and much less than similar places in the area. We had the following alterations done:
Jumpsuit – shoulders taken up, length adjusted
Dress – shoulders taken up, waist taken in, tulle skirt hemmed, bustle added
Everything turned out excellent, and we got our items back quickly! I got my dress back in less than a month, and I didn’t even have to come for another fitting because it fit so well. I definitely recommend them for wedding alterations!

Sonia & Luz (“Lucy”) are WONDERFUL!!! I had the best experience with them altering my wedding dress. I bought it at the Wedding Loft (sample rack sale for the Wedding Studio). It was a size 16 and I wear a size 4 normally in dresses. Luz is A MAGICIAN! She literally brought my vision to life. My dress fit perfectly. They took plenty of time at each appointment to make sure my dress turned out exactly how I wanted it. She also altered my bachelorette/rehearsal dress and that also turned out perfect. I wish I could give this shop 10 stars! I I had my wedding dress altered multiple times at another alterations place and overall was unhappy with the fit. I frantically showed up a week before my wedding expecting to be turned away with the short time frame. Not only did they get it done in time they were extremely empathetic and kind as I was very stressed. It was a tough dress to alter but they fixed what the other tailor had done and made it fit perfectly. I felt beautiful on my wedding day because of the wonderful staff and I can’t recommend this shop enough!!Thank you!!!

I had rips/tears in a leather bomber jacket that I’ve had for at least 30 years. Alex’s Tailor shop patched/repaired the leather and added a new lining. My jacket looks great!

I just want to show my appreciation for these ladies! I had no idea how they were going to take a foot of length and the entire train off my dress, while keeping the scalloped hem, but they pulled it off! They even managed to tailor my son’s tux when it arrived way too big. Super nice, and affordable prices- I’m going to start getting everything tailored now!

I used Something Wonderful for my wedding dress and rehearsal outfit alterations, and was very happy with my experience. From the very beginning their communication was excellent. I appreciated that all my appointments were booked upfront and included reminders with details on what to expect, which helped put me at ease.

I was very nervous about alterations because I’ve had bad experiences in the past, and a wedding dress is such an important piece. I had ordered additional fabric to add custom sleeves to my originally tank-strapped gown, as well as a bustle and buttons to attach an overskirt that was designed for a different dress. Everything turned out beautifully, and my wedding dress was perfect at my final appointment. They also altered my rehearsal outfit, shortening the sleeves on my bodysuit, hemming the dress, and taking in the bust, which was all completed by my second appointment.

I’d absolutely recommend Something Wonderful. You’ll be in good hands. They did beautiful work on both of my dresses and helped make me feel my best on such important days.

Sarah at Something wonderful was amazing at each of my 3 wedding dress fittings. She really took the time and effort in making my dream wedding dress fit perfectly and made sure that each piece of the dress was how I liked it. I had a belt that needed to be attached and a bow that needed to be made to complete the back/train. The bustle was beautifully made to look seamless and just like a shorter dress. I love it even more than when I initially bought it and felt like a princess wearing it on wedding day! I so appreciate the wonderful service Sarah provided, her expertise, and close attention to detail at each of my fittings. She also helped my mom find accessories to complete her outfit and the extra wedding dress fabric I had were made into a cute headband and scrunchie too!

Sarah and her team came highly recommended, and they did not disappoint. Sarah is super efficient. I love that my appointments were quick and focused but still thorough. In addition to typical hemming and taking in the busts and bodices, we added a fabric belt and ballroom bustle to my reception dress. I had a wedding in NYC, and I needed a tux. The Fashion Mall store couldn’t have been more helpful and kind, particularly Martha, who guided me through every step of the process and made sure I got a great tux. She was SO kind to me.

And, on top of all this kindness, I was able to return the tux at a Men’s Wearhouse in Brooklyn! So I didn’t even have to carry it home!

This place is great. Even if you’re trying to save money, the clearance section is fully stocked with nice jackets, pants, and other clothes. A wide selection of ties and undershirts as well. However what really made it is the staff. Specifically Jayden. Our daughter was getting fussy and he brought out a snack to help calm her down once we realized everything we brought was empty. He helped talk me through sizes and fits, explaining what looked good and what options I had. Even after we focused on the less expensive options he was understanding and not pushy. He was incredible and made what was becoming a very stressful outing into a manageable experience. I’ll come back here for any of my nicer clothing needs.

I’ve been back to the store multiple times for both help with original orders (my size changed)… And purchasing more clothing!
I’ve now worked with Dorinda, Avery, and Martha as well as consulting with the tailor Angel.

I can’t remember the last time i have had such personal and excellent service!!

Everyone was amazing… Working through exchanges, coordinating colors and patterns, and even providing thoughtful and creative solutions in the tailoring to make everything work together and create both elegance and personalization for me.

Great customer service… Sales staff pays attention to everything from fit to style to price points and spends time with you generously. It seems like there are always sales and /or price incentives on virtually all clothing categories as well.

These days It’s not easy to find a brick and mortar place for menswear that isn’t more interested in fast fads than dressing the customer according to their tastes and needs.

They stock a very large array of sizes and styles from skinny to big and tall.

There are great sales and a rewards program.

Looking forward to shopping there again.

Great experience!! Jaydin was extremely attentive and helpful. He was knowledgeable and related very well with my teenage son getting ready for prom. I would definitely return based on the service we received from Jaydin.

Staff very friendly and helpful. They were not busy at the time I was there but still very attentive even helped me pick out a cream shirt and you can see the tie. I had a color palette I was trying to match for daughters wedding. Very very helpful. They are going to taylor the pants leg as I have lymphedema.

Kreshawn went above and beyond while I was in store. Very helpful and made my exchange an easy process. Sold a couple extra pieces of clothing because of it.

While staff were friendly and helpful, the signs were deceptive. What appeared to be on sale was not. Staff stopped being as friendly when I complained. What started good ended poorly. I paid because I had invested the time. Bad deal. Won’t be back.

I highly recommend visiting Mr. Lee for any suit/professional attire needs. His attention to detail is unmatched & the whole fitting process was a seamless as possible. The finished product was incredible & the fit was absolutely perfect; better than anything I’ve ever worn. I normally hate wearing suits, but I look for any opportunity to put the one on that Mr. Lee made for me. You can tell he really takes his time and shows a lot of care when designing your outfit. I will be going back to Mr. Lee for any of my suit needs moving forward!

Lee did an incredible job on the suit for my wedding. I really appreciated his honest, expert feedback in the design process. I really REALLY appreciate him working extra hard to get the suit done by when I needed it, despite some complications beyond his control. I was getting almost as many compliments on my suit as my wife’s dress!

Over the last several months, I’ve ordered professional attire that’s either MTM or custom from a handful of local tailors/suit shops. I wanted to find the best quality and comfort since I have an athletic build and long arms that make off-the-rack out of the question. Comfort is the most important aspect of a suit since I wear one every day.

I ordered a sport coat, two pairs of dress pants, and a dress shirt (he thankfully talked me into a blue and white shirt instead of plain white) from Lee’s to start. Nothing else in my wardrobe comes close to providing the level of comfort while being a perfect fit. The attention to detail that Mr. Lee has is unmatched, and I was blown away when I didn’t require any alterations.

Mr. Lee’s communication was phenomenal along the way. I didn’t ask for it, but I am appreciative that he went above and beyond to educate me about his process, including the purpose of the measurements he takes, the differences in material, and the construction process.

After trying multiple places, this is the one I’ll be coming back to. Thank you for being a true master tailor in Indianapolis!

I had Master Lee make a custom tuxedo ahead of my wedding. I had a very tight timeframe – around two months – and he exceeded expectations during that time!

Mr. Lee measured me in many ways before creating the tuxedo, As an added challenge, he had to modify the jacket in his shop!

The fit was amazing and I received many, many compliments on it.

I look forward to wearing this many more times in the future 🙂

I wore the tuxedo to a charity dinner last week after having it in the closet for nearly a year. Despite gaining several pounds of “marriage cushion” the tux still fits, wears comfortably, and looks sharp! Truly amazing work. My Master Lee shirts and especially this tuxedo are miles beyond anything else in my wardrobe.

Mr. Lee did an exceptional job helping me design, tailor, and create my wedding tuxedo. He is a master of his craft, and I cannot recommend his services enough. I first walked in without any knowledge of what I wanted. He sat me down and gave me a 1:1 approach on styles and materials, working to understand my preferences. The final product came back better than any tailored suit I have ever worn. It’s customized, comfortable, and is a piece fit for a once in a lifetime day. If I could give more stars I would. Mr Lee was incredibly professional and helpful while taking measurements for a wedding groomsman suit. The suit itself fits perfectly and was designed and created with a lot of precision as well as care. Mr Lee also was very kind and answered all my questions about taking care of the suit so it has a long closet life. Beyond happy with my experience here and I highly recommend this place for any tailoring needs!

I took in a coat that need the sleeves shortened and pants that need hemmed. When I returned a little more than a week later, when I walked in Mr. Lee was talking with someone, so I decided to look around at the items for sale. Mr. Lee approached me asked my name I was then given my items. He did not ask me to try them on or if I had questions nothing and then put his hand lightly on my back and guided me to the door, before I could turn around and say something he was already conversating with the other gentleman. My pants that were hemmed on one led about 4 inches above the hem are tiny holes with pieces of thread sticking out, it looked exactly like someone had sewn it then removed the thread after realizing the mistake. The coat sleeve was shortened correctly and looks good except before I had cuffs, now it’s just the end of the sleeve with the buttons reinstalled. I was so excited going to Mr. Lee’s and when I picked my stuff up, I wanted to schedule to be measured because I wanted to have a couple suits made by him. But I feel treated like I was a burden to him rather than a customer.

The best tailor shop in Indy! Prices are fair compared to other shops, and the quality is unmatched. He’s truly a master at his craft. I’ve tried other places, but the combination of skill, quality, and price here is on another level.

I took in a tote bag full of clothing pieces in for various alternations and Lam did a phenomenal job! All of the piece fit perfectly. It is easy to trust the husband and wife team to do what is best for the garment and help you to understand what alterations make the most sense. Prices are extremely reasonable!

Updates! Bang and Mrs. Nguyen remain the best tailors in Indianapolis! I have been multiple times over the past year and never have they disappointed in terms of quality of alteration. I also had an emergency with the outfit I was supposed to wear for my wedding, and Bang helped me fix it in four days!

All these five star reviews are correct. Excellent husband and wife team (the husband’s name is Bang) – great work reasonable prices. Sometimes they bicker and it’s so entertaining it could be a sitcom.

Good for easy tailoring like hems. But managed to ruin 3 brooks brothers classic button downs trying to tailor the sides. Didn’t pay attention to shirt structure and now is cinched in arm pits on back panel, and over stretched the shoulder hem. Shirts are no longer useable. 1star for effort

This place is #1! The owner is very nice, professional (like the name says), and can do anything related to altering fabric at a great price. I’ve been going here for years and whether it’s sewing up my expensive dog toys, hemming my business suit, or adding custom inside pockets to my track jacket, she can do it all-No job too big or small! I love this place and tell everyone about it. She’s way above in service and price compared to the countless other alteration places I’ve been in my 30 years as an adult. The only downside is I wish I written this review sooner. I mean it :).

Does a good job with jeans but a terrible job with suit pants. She ruined two pairs of suit pants. Will never go back after she tried twice on one pair and charged for each attempt at fixing the work she pinned up.

Had measurements taken, very nice, reasonable price.
