I came in on Saturday 9/6, and Madison was beyond helpful and knowledgeable in hiking shoes. She was beyond patience when I kept asking for one more size up for the perfect fit. Madison was very professional and courteous, giving that she was helping multiple customers at once.

That said, quality equipment can be a little pricey, but a lot of this stuff is hard to find elsewhere. Much less overwhelming experience than the larger sporting goods stores. Check it out!

I finally decided to upgrade my backpacking pack today and Dillon was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable when discussing sizing and different brands. They helped me find a pack that fits my needs and is so comfortable, forever grateful for all the input and assistance!

Tadd is an amazing bike mechanic. He took time to figure out what was happening, although it was not easy. This is also a great store and always a wonderful shopping experience. Much better warranties than the industry standard as well.

Always loved coming into this store. This trip was different, though, to no fault of the store, but another customer. Was looking in the shoe section, and a woman started to breastfeed her baby while sitting there with no cover. I’ll probably be crucified for this, but I feel that should be a somewhat private matter or at least use a cover or wrap. The employee who was assisting her as well as others nearby were very notably uncomfortable. I left without purchasing anything.

I recently visited Geist Marina, and it was a lovely experience. One of the highlights was spotting swans nesting, which added a touch of serenity to the already picturesque surroundings.

Great selection of watercraft for use on Geist Reservoir. Nice local shops nearby. Plenty of parking. Good place for a family outing. Swans, fish, and turtles can easily be seen from the causeway.

A wonderful local outdoor retailer. They have a fantastic range of hiking shoes and boots, far more than the REI in Indianapolis. The staff are really friendly and thoughtful – as I was trying on different hiking shoes, one staff member was bringing out the next pair I was thinking about trying without me even asking. There is plenty of other gear to choose from, and maps of the local hiking areas. I highly recommend visiting!

Stopped in on a whim to see what they had before stopping at REI and was pleasantly surprised! Bought an MSR stove I have been wanting for a while for $10 cheaper than any of the big box stores. They have all the major brands for gear, clothing, snow and travel. Friendly knowledgeable staff!

I’m from South Bend and there really aren’t many true camping stores up there, so when I’m in Indy I always stop and get stuff. Rusted Moon Outfitters will be my first stop from here on out!

Everybody at Rusted Moon are very kind and helpful! They have a great variety of outdoor clothing, supplies and equipment. Went there looking for a pair of boots and they were able to order the exact pair I wanted and ship them to my house. Awesome locally owned store!

This place is great! I had no experience with adding storage to my car. Plus my vehicle is quite rare, which complicates things. They got it all figured out quickly for me. The sales people were very nice and informative! Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our sales representative Eric! He was super helpful! My fiancé was getting his first bike ever and was super informative, kind, and helpful! He helped him pick out the perfect bike for his start and price. He was able to get it serviced and checked out. He even helped us with strapping it down into our truck bed. Absolutely loved his help! Will be going there in the future for all our bikes and eventually our boat one day!

David Ray was awesome and very knowledgeable! As a first time rider I came in with a ton of questions and concerns and he made the whole process very comfortable and answered every question I had! He makes sure to take care of his people and even stays consistent after the sales process to make sure you’re happy and everything is good!! Got my first bike today! David Ray helped me find my perfect fit within in my price range. I couldn’t be happier with it!

So much fun! Parking was a little hard to find, we ended up in the garage for $15. There was a lot of construction between the garage abe the walk down to the boats. We did the sunset cruise on the swan paddle boats.

This was a nice fairly inexpensive recreational thing to do in downtown Indianapolis. The staff was very helpful and great to work with.

What a great concept! We had lots of fun. Felt like we were rowing in a european city! The price is right. You will be on the goose boat for 1 hour and I do warn you, you have to be in shape to paddle as you will grow tired soon (me). My wife and my daughter enjoyed this!

Wheel of Fun Rentals was such a great experience! The paddle boats were easy to use and a fun way to explore the water. The whole process was smooth, and the staff was super friendly. Lindsay was especially awesome—she was super nice, easy to talk to, and gave us some great recommendations for other fun things to do around Indy. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Okay, I was in downtown Indy with my son celebrating my birthday, yay birthday!
& after a fun filled day, a friend suggested this place to us… I am soooo glad that they did!!

First, the people there are absolutely great! Super friendly and patient! They explain everything you need to know, and then your adventure begins!

Make sure you watch out for the baby ducks!
We had a few ducks following us around. It was adorable!

We had a wonderful time.
It was very beautiful and peaceful.
Everyone on the water was very respectful of one another.
It was a lovely end to a wonderful day, and I look forward to coming back soon!!

Side note: There is Not a restroom facility nearby. So, if you have little ones with you, or just a wee bladder, you might want to stop someplace with a public restroom on the way.

I occasionally walk along the canal, but today I made a special stop at Wheel Fun Rentals to gather information for an upcoming visit with our grandkids. The staff members were friendly and helpful. They are currently open 7 days a week, but recommended checking their website for current hours as the season begins to wind down. I’ve also included a few photos of the canal route and hope this information is helpful for anyone looking to spend some time on the canal. A great place to visit!

Excellent place for a calm and easy kayaking experience. Good place for new comers to get their kayak legs. If you feel someone in your group needs a Personal Flotation Device, bring one. These are not provided here.

This was so fun. The staff was awesome. It was supposed to be a bad day because it was windy. There was a learning curve but I think cloudy overcast days are the best. I actually liked the roll the lake had going on. It wasn’t too bad but I ended up staying closer to the pickup drop off location than I might have. I will warn you, it could be addicting. But if you are jonesing there are different discounts for your habit.

I booked a guided sunset kayak tour which I was looking forward and planning to by taking a day off.
I live almost one hour away from the park and while driving there midway I received a text message saying exactly the following : Your booking for Guided Kayak Paddle Tour on Jul 15 5:15PM has been cancelled. A Store Credit has been issued and can be used at your convenience.

There was no explanation why they did that or any kind of apology.
I can only call customer disrespect.

Great time with friends trying out pedal kayaks. They are a lot easier and faster than normal kayaks. We got to go farther than ever before. Great experience.

It was a good expereince with the rental, the process however could be improved by making to counter readily accessible and reduce wait time. The staff is welcoming and professional.

We have a 1972 Correct Craft Mustang. It has a Ford 302 V8 ” Reverse Rotation” motor. N3 install a new 600 Holly carb, new fuel lines, electronic conversion on the original Mallory distributor. They were meticulous in making sure everything was dialed in. The Old boat runs like new.

We purchased a new H20 through the marine center, we love this boat! It does everything you need a wake boat to do and looks good too! Jordan (lead tech) has been great answering questions that we have had and he’s full of knowledge about our boat!

I drove up from Spencer Indiana with my step son a disabled American Veteran after multiple attempts to call with no answer. Met a salesman who’s been employed 5 years there. We went to tow and go picked out pontoon we were interested in and asked to speak with sales manager after boat got power but would not start. Our salesman was attentive and called Doug Polk asked where he was and got a barrage of questions such as why and what for? Salesman answered with customers want to speak with you. Doug continued to berate the salesman with useless questions until he was perturbed and told the salesman just tell them whatever. He refused to meet us at his office and discuss any negotiations as “we are just going to scrap them anyway.” My knowledge as an owner money any money is better than scrap but Doug Polk obviously doesn’t care about new owners or new clients or customers. No one answers phones and then sends customers away. Be careful not to need the “Sales Manager ” he’s too busy! Even for a disabled Veteran yeah that part for sure!

I have been very pleased with my dealings at Marine Center of Indiana. They have a good knowledgeable staff, a wide variety of products at a fair price. When buying my kayak from Sam he spend a lot of time and effort working with me to get the right kayak for my needs. I have kept in touch with many questions regarding accessories and maintenance and Sam has always steered me in the right direction.

My wife and I just bought our first boat from Denny’s. I just retired from a life in sales. In my business area, customer service was always king. We sold expensive machinery and repeat business was key. We were looking for an electric pontoon boat and stopped into Denny’s as an afterthought on the way to another marina. Our sales person at Denny’s spent a lot of time with us talking about pontoons in general and about the company’s philosophy of electric pontoons. After Denny’s we went on to look at two other marinas which were all reasonably price competitive but I kept coming back to the initial experience at Denny’s. Long-story-short, We called Denny’s back and ordered their boat and discussed/negotiated a couple of upgrades and a delivery date. On the agreed to delivery day the Denny’s rep showed up exactly on-time and took his time showing my wife and me through the workings of the boat and making us feel confident. I just want to say that the way the electrical system was put together by the Denny’s staff is simple and robust and looks like a work of art. I am writing on our second day of ownership and I feel like the smartest guy in the world for making the decision to buy a boat from these guys. From sales, to the technical side, to the accounting an billing to the delivery and training Denny’s has given us world class customer service. I love my new Bennington and I love Denny’s.

My experience for the sales department was superb. The teamwork that they showed working with me was very professional and cared about what I wanted.
But, the finance department was rude, belligerent, and unprofessional.
Only because I would not buy an extended warranty.
When I come back to pick my boat up and pay my bill, I would prefer to deal with the sales department and not the finance department.

I recently called Reeder Trausch Marine in Indy. It used to be Denny’s but is now under new ownership. I spoke with a very kind and helpful woman who let me know about the change in ownership. I explained the problem with my boat and said I would be bringing it in.

Later that day, I missed a call from the shop. I called back, was on hold for about five minutes, and then was asked to leave a message. This happened two more times before I finally got through to someone. I asked if I could still bring my boat in, and was asked again to explain what was wrong. After explaining it for the second time, I was told that the diagnostic would cost one thousand dollars. I clarified to make sure I understood, asking if it was one thousand dollars just to diagnose the problem before any repairs would even start. The answer was yes.

I took my boat to a different shop that same day. They diagnosed it quickly, told me it was two bad relay switches, ordered the parts, and fixed it. The cost was nowhere near one thousand dollars.

If you want to throw away money, this place might be for you. If you want honest and reasonable service, find a different shop.

We consigned our boat with Reeder Trausch Marine Indy in April 2025, working with Tyler Allen. The boat was showroom-ready and listed at $109,900. In June, we gave our bottom-dollar price of $90,000 and even offered to cover commission ourselves to help close a sale.

Tyler brought us a buyer, but the dealership refused to honor my $90,000 price—The buyer walked away.

Two days later, Tyler abruptly ended the consignment without a formal notice inside the 90days and told us to come get the boat. When we arrived, we found it left outside, uncovered, after a storm—cabin full of water, damage to the swim platform and seats, dirty, and clearly neglected. We now have over $2,500 in repairs due to the dealership’s carelessness, loss of use, loss of opportunity and missed work days and mileage for repairs.

Unprofessional, irresponsible, and completely disappointing. Would not recommend trusting them with your property. #NOTmilitaryfriendly

Reeders Trausch Indy is terrible. The owners need to get rid of Tyler. My husband and I came up to buy a boat. Tyler got involved and we left without a boat. Jay and Monty you have an issue and Tyler needs to go. Tyler is condensending and completely unprofessional. He struggles to understand how to read a credit report. You are losing customers because of Tyler. Good luck with that!
