It has been the best fun working with Silverthrone Homes representatives. From the beginning they gave insight and guidance in getting our forever everything we desired. Thanks Jason for assistance. Meredith is a great design consultant she is knowledgeable about everything that everyone wants in their home nowadays and was able to get a feel for our desires in our heads and put into flow into designing elements that fit into our classic and elegant mindset into a home designed by us and for us.

The process, quality, and people at Silverthorne Homes is unmatched! We started our home building journey with Laura in Haven Ponds! She was thorough, knowledgeable, and refused to overpromise and underdeliver! Her customer service is unmatched! Meredith at the Design Center was incredible as well! There wasn't a person I interacted with that I had a bad experience with! Highly recommend!

I will never build with Silverthorne again or suggest it to anyone. The problems never end and don’t get fixed. Not just little issues… uneven walls/ no 90 degree corners (when mentioned at final walkthrough, our build manager actually USED HIS SHOULDER TO TRY AND MOVE THE WALL), chipped and dented cabinets, upgraded countertops chipped and stained, windows that don’t open, huge chunks taken out of bathtubs, kitchen island and countertop uneven and doesn’t line up with floor, level 3 upgraded appliances scratched, seeded the backyard in the middle of winter (it all died before it had the opportunity to germinate), and probably the worst is nails protruding out 1/4 of an inch or more on all carpet and on every stair and all perimeters of rooms (I actually got cut/ poked on our final walkthrough and bled… was told that’s normal by our build manager to have nails sticking out. We even upgraded carpet and carpet pads. The company that supplies the carpet and tile came out to fix the sloping fireplace tile (another cosmetic issue), and actually called out Silverthorne and said they purchase the cheapest carpets possible and don’t care that nails are exposed. We have kids and animals so we spent over 4 hours hammering down the nails on the staircases to prevent more injuries. We continue to get cut from nails sticking out on perimeters of rooms). The list is endless and nothing gets fixed. We have lived here for 6 months now, and we have never regretted a purchase more. Beyond the actual building process and the house, Silverthorne has hired a management company, Indy AMI, to be in charge of the HOA for now until the neighborhood is more established. That HOA has let two houses in the neighborhood have wood fences (an apparent mistake on their part) and will not let anyone else have a wood fence. The community manager with the HOA told us over the phone and email that wood fences are allowed, but suddenly that is not the case anymore. I would never suggest working with Silverthorne and would only suggest to live at Haven Ponds in McCordsville if you’d like to be treated unfairly and different than your neighbors that pay the same HOA fees. Beyond dissatisfied.

We closed on our home November 26th 2024 and we have a ton of regret with going with Silverthorne to build our home. We have freezing cold air coming in the perimeter outlets, we had an outlet catch fire because they didn’t install it correctly, the water softener lines are ran incorrectly with no P-trap, and our furnace is horribly undersized. Cracks in every single room already. If I could return the house, I would! Do yourself a favor and DON’T build with Silverthorne!

The only issues is that the water spickets are on the sides of the house. Most plants are in the back and front of a house. Why would you put those spickets so far away. More of a selection needed for outside brick or stone. Meredith was awesome to work with on picking out interior and exterior designs. She was very helpful in putting color schemes together. Only other issues is that if you have to cancel and appt they schedule you another month out and not work with you in trying to get in sooner. Other than that everything else is good so far!

I live in a custom built neighborhood. Two of my neighbors chose Silverthorne to build their home. Throughout the process of both homes I have never seen a build site so filthy. Trash and excess building materials lying all over and blowing into mine & others nicely manicured lawns. The mud that is 3 inches deep on the side walks and now in garages from the rain washing it into the road is ridiculous. Both neighbors are STILL waiting on their final grade, the building materials still left on the property, and sod to be laid. One house was finished in DECEMBER. The other in MARCH. It is mid JUNE. They were promised their final grade & yard to be laid in MAY. I would advise anyone to NEVER build with this company. They have promised to finish their yards and then have still yet to follow through. Their kind of business is unacceptable. Professionalism at its lowest.

Stacey was awesome to work with! She was well organized and not afraid to express her opinion if she thought our selections were not good choices. We love Stacey!!!
