Inside is always great, not a bad seat in the house! I'm always obsessed with the decor. I could find something new every time. Very spread out so I feel like I have space to be with my people! The food was great! We came in for devour and got to try a bit of everything. All of this was only $25!!! For app, entree, and dessert, there may not be a better devour deal! We had the corn wontons, bourbon bacon beignets, chicken elote quesadilla, chili crisp beef tacos, and two dessert tacos. Our service was INCREDIBLE! Shout out Taria!! She was so so sweet and had us cracking up all night! My fiancée has allergies and she was super helpful and careful. We felt very comfortable. I would love to come back, and definitely ask for Taria, she made our night!

My husband and I recently dined at Agave & Rye in Indianapolis for the first time, and we were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we walked in, the service was friendly, energetic, and welcoming—setting the tone for a great evening. The vibe of the restaurant was fantastic, with a fun yet laid-back atmosphere. The walls are artistically painted and decorated with vibrant paintings and quirky dog statues scattered throughout, making it a visually engaging space. Plus, the music in the background added the perfect touch to the overall experience. Now, onto the food! We started with the elote, served off the cob but with all the flavors you'd expect—creamy, smoky, and perfectly seasoned. It was a delicious way to begin our meal. For my entrée, I had the birria tacos, and they were outstanding. The shredded meat was generous, fresh, and incredibly flavorful, and the consomé for dipping was rich and savory, elevating the whole dish. My husband had the quesadillas with chicken, which were equally tasty—crispy on the outside and filled with perfectly cooked chicken, mac n cheese and bacon. Agave & Rye delivered a memorable experience. I highly recommend for anyone in the area craving delicious Mexican food with a great atmosphere!

I had the greatest experience! I have celiac disease so I called ahead of time, I spoke with Taria. She was AMAZING, she’s the reason I stopped in today made me comfortable about eating out. When we arrived she served my table of 4. She accommodated for everyone at the table we had great drinks and food. Taria mentioned we could sign up and get free queso and chips, so we did that! Overall, we had super great service. My favorite was the Elote and the Strawberry bombshell drink!

I just didn’t like it. The mango salsa was too watery, and the chips were so hard that chewing them required real effort. The tater tots were huge, crispy on the outside, but mushy on the inside, an odd texture that didn’t work for me. The fish taco tasted fishy, which immediately turned me off. My husband shared my sentiments about his food as well. That said, my son and daughter both enjoyed their steak tacos and the fried wontons, so the experience wasn’t a miss for everyone at our table. Overall, it just wasn’t for me, though others may have a different experience depending on what they order.

Ultra flashy vibe. I am not sure if it’s the acoustics, but this place is noisy! Service was medium (I think our server was tired). Tacos are all very inventive, but served almost at room temperature, which is a bit disappointing. The concept is interesting; I get what they were going for here.. overall a 7/10 experience. Prices are fair, especially considering it is located near expensive hotels.

I had very high hopes when I stopped in on my way to Louisville. The service staff was friendly, but they were quite unorganized. The atmosphere was great and the restrooms were clean, which is very important to me. The food, however, was bland at best. The menu sounds amazing but the idea turned out to be gimmicky. I had the kangaroo, the lobster, and the alligator tacos, which all had very catchy names, but lacked any flavor or proteins. The amount of meat was insulting, I mean, 3 2cm of meat on the kangaroo taco, come on. I handed my friend a piece of the meat to taste, which left me with only 2. It turns out that the catch is to load the tacos with Mac n cheese to give the appearance of a hearty meal. The protein is an after-thought, not the highlight. That was the case for all 3 of my tacos. The same was the case for the three that my friend ordered. I had also ordered the Mac n cheese donuts, which were good, but how much Mac n cheese does one person need? Are you getting the theme here? Mac n cheese is the main ingredient. I live in Chicago, so it is unlikely that I will be traveling to Indy anytime soon. Otherwise, I may give them a second shot and order something else. As it stands now, I would not recommend this restaurant based on my single experience.

We tried this place for their unique sounding tacos as we love tacos. We both got a flight of tacos and the carne asada egg rolls. The presentation was beautiful, service was fast and atmosphere was fun however the food was severely lacking especially for the expensive pricing. The meat to topping proportion was about 10% meat and 90% topping. I got about one bite of meat in my tacos. Except on The Becky and it was a single dry and tough chicken tender sitting on top of the taco. It was honestly hard to eat. The carne asada egg rolls sounded amazing but ours was mainly ramen noodles and a few bits of the carne asada so it didn't have any flavor.
