So yummy! The miso butter salmon appetizer was really good, so was everything else. Really interesting options. Friendly staff. Generous with their rice. Fair prices. Love it. 🙂
This Japanese restaurant has a great atmosphere and consistently delivers quality food. It’s especially recommended for sushi lovers - the fish is fresh, well-prepared, and nicely presented. Among the local options, it’s hands down the best place around Broad Ripple for sushi and Japanese cuisine. The service is attentive, and the overall vibe is relaxed, making it a solid choice whether you’re dining with friends or enjoying a quiet meal. A reliable favorite for anyone craving authentic Japanese flavors!
Super classic and tasty sushi, with a cozy neighborhood vibe. This place has been around for a long time and the quality, value, and service has been maintained. We ordered a bunch of sushi, udon, sukiyaki, and tonkatsu. Everything was absolutely delicious, and we couldn't have been more satisfied.
服务很好,但是真的有点慢,味道超级好,我会推荐给别人的程度
Don’t let the exterior weird you out. Sakura is definitely one of those undercover gems on Indy’s north side. I’ve driven by it a lot but never stopped in. I got to do so recently. Walked in at around 5:45 on a Friday and they were a little busy but we got a table. Our waitress was SUPER friendly and attentive to our table. We started with the Gyoza and the Spicy Ika Rings (calamari basically) as an appetizer. All of that was fantastic! As my entree, I got the Chicken Katsu Don. Now, I did notice a lot of reviews complaining of slow service. However, it only took about 25 minutes for all our food to arrive. And overall, the food was fantastic! The chicken was tender and tasty, the eggs were good, though I will say they did put a bit too much rice in the bowl for me to handle. We then got the Fried Ice Cream as dessert which was also very delicious. Overall, this was a great experience! If you’re looking for a popular Japanese spot in Indy, Sakura is definitely a winner! I’ll be back.
I was looking for a nice sushi spot to eat and glad to have found Sakura. Felt like a hidden gem of Indy. Food was pretty good, awesome service, food was ready to eat super quick! Would bring my coworkers back for another meal
Great Japanese restaurant that, thankfully, offers more than just sushi (though their sushi is also pretty good). The spicy miso chicken is definitely up there with the best things I've ever had there and I highly recommend it (if you like spicy food). There are only a few decent Japanese restaurants in the city and I would put Sakura up there among the best for what it is: simple, no frills, good Japanese food with an emphasis on sushi.
