Lucky Dog Retreat - Indianapolis

I bring my dog to LD for grooming and an occasional play date. He always looks nice after they're through. As for the play dates, he's an only 'child' so we think that's good for him to go hang out with other dogs every once and awhile. Nice place. Clean and well run, good people who seem to genuinely like dogs

Less than impressed with the grooming situation that’s been going on the last few months. We followed our groomer to Lucky Dog from another doggie daycare because she’s always done a phenomenal job with our woolly husky. Now, our dog (that usually takes 3 hours to groom) is taking 8+ hours to groom because of the lack of decent air flow and humidity control in the grooming area at Lucky Dog and management is seemingly ignoring the issue. On really hot days the humidity is up to 70-80% in that room and combined with heat, that can be deadly for dogs. Beyond dangerous for any dog, and especially my woolly husky. Our dog gets groomed monthly and we’ve had to cancel the last 2 appointments and go somewhere new because the grooming environment is dangerous for his health. It upsets me that I’ve had to find someone new to trust with my dog when we’ve been loyal to our groomer for several years because Lucky Dog won’t address the issues in that room.

Our dog Ollie is not the easiest dog to board and Lucky Dog does such a great job understanding his behavior and taking steps acclimate him to the stay. He comes home very tired and is always eager to go back.

I love Lucky Dog Retreat and so does my dog! The staff is welcoming and attentive and the facility is very clean. Every time I peep at the webcams in the playrooms, my dog is either playing with friends and having the time of her life, or being loved on by a staff member. I also appreciate that they separate the dogs by size and temperament. Highly recommend!

We love Lucky Dog so much! Our dog, Millie, is so excited every day that she gets to go! The staff are so kind and always take good care of her. We love that there is a camera to pop in to see what she is up to throughout the day. They make dropoff and pickup so easy - and we always have a nice, tired, happy puppy when she gets home. ❤️

Benji loves coming here for daycare and for overnight boarding! Everyone is so nice and welcoming. We have even used their grooming services a few times.

You are the best! Obi and Winston are always so well cared for with your boarding and at the daycare. You’re a hidden gem in Indianapolis. Obi,Winston and Shiloh are looking for more adventures with you. Nice and relaxed after a couple days of fun.
