Five Points Ferret Refuge

This is a wonderful rescue to adopt from! It is a thorough application process, but I felt like they are rightfully concerned for the well-being of the ferrets up for adoption. Not only did they provide a time for us to introduce our ferret to potential adopters, but they also took time to answer any questions we had about parenting our girls. Even if you do not have experience with owning ferrets, the staff and volunteers at five point ferrets are sure to help you. They are available to answer any questions and have a plethora of knowledge on these adorable creatures. (They also provide a book called "ferrets for dummies") We adopted two little ones, Nessie and Lorolai, to keep our first ferret company this past June. We love them to death and encourage anyone capable of adopting a ferret to come to five point ferrets. There are loads of little ones in need of homes!

Im so happy i came to this shelter ! I love my new three little pasta’s(ferrets) and the people there were so nice and let me take as much time as i needed they still waited for me with a smile on there faces after 4 hours ! I finally decided on the ones i wanted and got them into my carrier they even gave me a little gift basket to go AND i got it all for only $250 I definitely recommend to come here and get yours !

They are amazing!!! They are so wonderful and kind and go above and beyond for each and every ferret, clean and cared for , I got my babies from there and cannot imagine life without them!

This rescue is so wonderful. The ferrets are so well taken care of. The owner is devoted to the ferrets. They are treated so well. Every ferret's special needs such as illness, diet, etc. are taken into account in their care. The owner is also very giving of her time and knowledge. The volunteers are wonderful too. Amazing place! Brenda and all her staff really care about the ferrets they take in. All the ferrets were well taken care of, loved on and socialized. Brenda is very kind and takes the time to explain about diets, vet care, and the health of ferrets. I highly recommend this shelter if you are looking to adopt.

We adopted 2 fun little furry friends. Making initial contact was a little difficult, but worth it, knowing we're rescuing rather than supporting commercial breeders. Our 2 new family members are already creating laughter and memories in our home.

I consider this place a second home. I have volunteered for 3 years now. My son and I love the director and consider her family. If you are interested in volunteering, learning more about ferrets, or are thinking of adopting a ferret this is the place to go. The kindness and compassion that Ms. Taylor has for these animals is remarkable. She is a one of a kind shelter director. Five Points Ferret Refuge is one of the best ferret shelters on the Midwest.
