We spent the weekend February 7th 2026. We had a blast! First time staying in The Lodge. I have to say our room was very nice and clean! Bed was very comfortable. Show was fun and food delicious. Enjoyed drinks and good times in the Casino! Thank you Rising Star❤️
My husband and I enjoy our stay at the casino hotel/the lodge. My in laws are regulars and wanted us to experience the casino and the overall experience. I enjoy the pool area and appreciate the vintage vibe to it as well. Although the steam room needs maintenance, it's kid friendly and the Christmas decorations were really awesome, the casino itself is a good experience and staff is always very friendly and helpful as well! The bistro is usually a good experience but I encountered a rude employee there(late at night) last night, otherwise overall experience is positive and we look forward to coming again!
Alot of the slot games are older. Limited card tables. Mainly blackjack tables. The christmas casino part isnt as decorated as it used to be. No buffet anymore. No longer include breakfast with a room. $14.95 a person for breakfast now. Staff is friendly and helpful.
I love staying here, but....... the hotel is in dire need of rehab. Other than that I give it 10 stars. I love the style of the hotel. I love the environment and atmosphere inside the hotel through to the casinos. If you stay more than a day you ready need to explore the towns around the hotel OR you can golf or take a ferry ride. I live 2 hrs away but try to go there as often as I can. The casino is not bad at all either.
We went here for a mini vacation. We got a room in the lodge and when we immediately walked in, the room was filthy. There were smudges and hand prints all over the head board. Food crumbs everywhere and nothing had been wiped down. There was urine on the bathroom floor. So we tried to get a different room that was clean. They upgraded us to a bigger suite in the lodge. Almost the same thing. Food crumbs all over the floor. The Kitchenette was gross. The bathroom was cleaner than the first room but still not completely clean. And there was body hair on the bed under the cover like the sheets had not been replaced. We did not stay. The casino was fine and what I would expect.
Unfortunately, the place doesn’t seem to be doing very well. Extreme lack of maintenance. Dining options suck. Carpeting is filthy. Many spiders and bugs in hallways and the room we were in. The pool is nice but hot tub needs painted. The wallpaper is bubbled and peeling in the hallways. Doors in the pool area needs replaced and the patio door leading outside from the pool needs the track cleaned and lubricated. The exercise equipment also needs lubricated.i hope they survive but it’s not looking good. I wish they could bring the buffet back at reasonable price. May help them survive, however, they do give good comps. Probably the most we’ve ever gotten and we are not high rollers. I’d really like to see improvements in dining options and cleanliness; our room was very clean, except for finding a couple of baby spiders but we were right at the last room to the exit door at the end of the hall. I also wish they had more non-smoking areas for slots.Regardless, we enjoyed our time there.
This hotel was awful. It was dirty, smelly, and extremely outdated. The photos online are completely misleading. The rooms were disgusting, and even the non-smoking rooms reeked of smoke. I wasn’t planning to leave a review because that’s not usually my style, but my experience got even worse. My flight was cancelled due to the government shutdown, which forced me to fly home a day early, and the hotel refused to even consider a refund. Most places have been understanding and flexible under these circumstances — not this one. It was by far the worst casino I’ve ever visited, and the customer service was just as disappointing. Was a ghost town and for good reason.
