They told me they accept my insurance and had me sign all the paperwork under that impression. They took all of my personal information, even though I specifically told them not to do so until my insurance was confirmed. I feel completely violated. At the last minute, they told me my insurance isn’t accepted and even called me after hours to deliver this news. Their intake process and customer service are terrible, and the staff handling this should be fired immediately. Avoid this place as far as possible. I will be talking to a lawyer about this situation.

Looks like they took down their Facebook page or blocked me so now no one can see my review. Please do NOT go here if you are looking for an autism assessment they are NOT qualified to diagnose autism in adult females/AFABS and use outdated criteria. My assessor didn’t even know what he was doing! Seemed like his first time ever. Not to mention it was extremely unprofessional. If you’re not presenting like "Rain Man" or you’re "high functioning Autistic" do not go here for an evaluation. It is a waste of money and time. Go somewhere better, you get what you pay for. I should have known accepting Medicaid for an autism eval was a huge red flag. They also didn’t mention in the beginning that once the test was complete, I would have to pay EXTRA for my results. Shady business all around and I heard they don’t pay their contracted employees. STAY FAR AWAY. And Hope Haven, don’t bother responding to this. You will not gaslight me any further.

I usually don’t write reviews, but I feel like my story needs to be told. I used Hope Haven for therapy a few years ago, and my experience was disappointing. The owner is money-hungry and does not truly care about the clients. I had been seeing a therapist there for a while, but I didn’t feel like they were a good fit for me. When I asked to switch to a different therapist, the owner called me and told me that my therapist was a good friend of hers, implying that my concerns were invalid. She also gaslit me into believing that the problem wasn’t my therapist—it was me. Because my mental health was in a fragile state at the time, I believed her and continued seeing that therapist until she went on maternity leave. During her leave, I was assigned to an art therapist within the same agency, and the difference was night and day. I was making real progress, and for the first time, I wasn’t leaving my sessions feeling worse about myself. When my original therapist returned, I made it clear that I no longer wanted to see her and wished to stay with the art therapist. My art therapist was completely understanding and said she would notify the agency and put me on her schedule. Shortly after, I received a phone call from the owner informing me that I was not allowed to switch therapists. Not because the art therapist couldn’t take me, but because my original therapist was a personal friend of the hers. The only way I could continue with the art therapist was if I kept seeing my original therapist as well. That was the final straw—I chose to leave the agency altogether. Unfortunately, I recently contacted the agency again to see if I could reconnect with the art therapist. I received a call back stating that the only way I could return was if I went back to my original therapist. I wasn’t even allowed to be on the waitlist. The receptionist specifically told me that the owner said she had already made this clear to me. I 10/10 would not recommend this agency if you truly value mental health care from people who put clients first rather than their own financial interests. This review is not a reflection of all the therapists at this agency—many of them are great—but rather of the owner, who chooses to prioritize money over the well-being of clients. From the looks of all the bad reviews, she’s getting exactly what she deserves.

They get you right in only to experience less than great customer service. Please read the reviews as I overlooked them as upset customers who may have been unreasonable, no, they were right. Fabrice was an amazing practitioner! My son was not uncomfortable with the testing and did well. We made the trip three times to see the practitioners. Testing was finished, I was told id receive a call in up to 30 days.I’ve been fighting since May to get my child’s results for school. Here we are mid august and the practitioner has called with me on the phone as well leaving a message for the clinic to release his results. Ridiculous service. There is no excuse, and if there is I wouldn’t know since no one is communicating. If you go here get your mommy bear out you’ll be needing it! Will update my review once my child’s pediatrician who has now sought out getting the results, gets a response.

Hope Haven has amazing therapists, however Tiffanie in billing was a nightmare to work with. Originally she did a verification of my insurance and had me sign off that I’d pay $30 a copay, before services began. I have been receiving services for 3 months now. This week I was told that there was a mistake made when verifying my account and that I had to meet an outrageous deductible before the $30 copay began. Which I believe tiffanie should’ve caught prior to me starting services. She said she was doing a courtesy so that was on me. Moving forward I’ll make sure to check my benefits on my own and not trust a " courtesy " verification. Because clearly that’s difficult to do. I really enjoyed my services but I don’t appreciate how I was treated. Being that this was my first time ever receiving services, I would have never known. Overall she was just not a pleasure to work with.

The intake process was extremely long. It took 2 weeks for someone to contact us about an appointment. When finally scheduled the therapist canceled as she said she only does this part time and her main job is a professor. She kept saying that. We never even had a session. I felt as if the therapist was only focused on making extra income on the side instead of helping. I've never been to a therapist who only has one time she is available and emphasizes this is just her part time job. Very unprofessional and made us feel as if we were a bother. Main point is if you're a therapist and only taking therapy as a part-time job for extra income you probably shouldn't be a therapist. As it comes off as you do not care and have no empathy. I would suggest better therapists that show empathy and care about helping others instead of a pay check.

As a conclusion to my clinical training before licensure, my experience at Hope Haven has been highly positive. The guidance I have received has been exemplary, and I feel well supported in my role as a doctoral clinician providing support to clients with a wide range of complex challenges. I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to gain supervisory experience from the owner, Dr. Johnson, who exemplifies the role of a psychologist. Based on my experience, Dr. Johnson is of a rare caliber of a psychologist who is deeply committed to the profession, as evidenced by her compassion for her staff and clients under our care. I arrived at Hope Haven from out of state, and the support I received helped me to make the transition seamlessly. The positive support I have received is beyond measure. For potential clients, I highly recommend Hope Haven as a resource for attending to the complex challenges that can arise amid difficult life challenges. I can attest firsthand that through the support and guidance of Dr. Johnson, clients will be supported, nurtured, and offered the opportunity to engage in a process that has the potential to transform their lives in a positive manner.
