Kimberley Gibson

There is no better Dermatologist than Dr. Natalie. He is amazing! He changed my life… Let me explain a little bit about that. I’ve had a skin condition (HS) since a very early age. The first visit he knew exactly what it was, he knew how to treat it and he has put me on a regime that has not only kept it under control but had given me a better quality of life. I am so grateful that he was able to accept me as a patient and thankful that he continues to take great care of me. Thank you Dr. Natalie! You are appreciated! You will never know how much this means to me. Thank you BTW I love the NEW front desk person. She is so friendly and 😇 kind.

Friendly staff, not a long wait to be seen, Dr. Natalie is thorough and attentive. He does a great job explaining and providing information. I do wish additional medical procedures were available at his office rather than being referred to other MD’s

I am a new patient and have already recommended Dr. Natalie to friends after my first visit! I couldn’t be more grateful to Dr. Natalie for his thoroughness, listening, caring and understanding of my concerns. He’s fantastic as well as his assistant was. I left my appointment feeling great. I went in for the first time with a few minor issues as a referral. I thought I had eczema on my left hand for years and recently had a fungal infection on my right thumb nail. I went back a second time shortly afterward because the issue persisted. After that Dr. Natalie prescribed some medication that got rid of both issues. I found out that my eczema was actually just a fungal infection as well. Thank you to Dr. Natalie for helping me.

Mia Matthews

I recently went to Laser and Skin Surgery Center as a new patient. I had quite a few skin concerns that I was nervous about. From the phone call to make the appointment the receptionist was very friendly and accommodating and helped put my mind at ease. I was able to get an appointment within a couple weeks time! At my first appointment everyone was so friendly and made me feel very comfortable. They addressed all my concerns very throughly. Best dermatologist I have ever been to by far. I am self pay and I was bracing myself for an enormous bill. I was shocked at how affordable the treatments are. I have already recommended this practice to several of my friends and family. Very grateful to have found this practice and will definitely be returning. Thank you to everyone who works there your kindness and expertise is very deeply appreciated. 5⭐️❤️

This is the best experience I’ve ever had with any «doctors» office in my entire life. They are so freaking sweet. They seem to enjoy their job and helping people. Anisha was so good to me, she was such a cool and nice person. She had a friend vibe instead of the «I’m just here to do a job» kind of vibe. Pricing is extremely fair! I haven’t had any procedures done yet so I can’t speak to effectiveness and results yet but I knew already to set my expectations that perfection can’t be achieved. They also reiterated that to me. Like I said, I’m definitely not expecting perfection but I’m just hoping for once in my life I can see results that make a difference to my happiness and self-esteem. Consultation fee was much cheaper than I expected, can’t wait to get my procedures done in April!! The last time I’ve been to a dermatologist was about 10 years ago. I live in Bloomington and they gave me the ick the entire time. They never seemed like they cared. Totally different experience here! I’m very happy I went here.

I wish I had four hands so I could give four thumbs up. Very thorough skin exam. Dr. Beth Brogan found a small spot on my skin that I didn’t know was there. 10 minutes later biopsy taken and I was out the door. Staff, facilities, and doctors are phenomenal! I appreciate the expertise and care I was provided! I would not hesitate a second to see this doctor or practice. I even booked skin exam for next year! Thank you Dr. Beth Brogan and staff!

This was my 2nd biopsy (for this specific skin issue) and I had a great experience, Michelle took the time before my appointment to update my chart and ask about concerns from my last appointment, which made me feel heard and like she cared. Sonya was very kind and reassuring, both she and Michelle are some of my favorites to at the office because they are very personable, which I appreciate. They made what can be an uncomfortable experience feel much less stressful for me. Lindsay at the checkout was friendly & efficient.

Mandy was WONDERFUL she worked to get me seen for my first visit even though I was a week early. Oops 😬 Page was the MA she was very good and compassionate with her questions and getting all information. I saw the NP was something to be questioned. Very knowledgeable and very quick. I’m still out on how I feel about her. But checking out was wonderful as well Ode was also very pleasant to talk with and make appointments. Overall the administration staff was great ! The physician and physician in training I’m still out about. It’s not what you say to someone, it’s the way you make them feel that they remember.

Do not recommend. They will close their office and not contact you to let you know so you can drive all the way out there to find out they closed. Worthless. Adding to my review because of response from owner- you clearly need to re-evaluate your processes then because I was a new patient. Other than my phone number, you don’t have my email address because I haven’t been to the office yet nor have I received any paper to fill out. Receptionist who scheduled my appointment didn’t ask for my email address. If you are going to cancel appointments, you need to make sure that EVERYONE has been contacted. I drove 45 minutes to get to the office only to find out you are closed. When I left this morning I clicked on my appointment reminder and it still said I had an appointment at 10:25. It wasn’t until after calling the scheduler and speaking to her did my appointment get canceled. Seems like you have a lot of holes in your system. Do better. I can see why there are so many negative reviews.

First time being seen at this facility and by Dr. Hyatt. It was a great experience overall. An extremely disappointing and wasteful experience. My daughter was first seen at the Broad Ripple office and then transferred to this location. She had already completed two full provider consults—both billed to insurance—along with multiple labs and pregnancy tests. All follow-up appointments for the next six months were scheduled and in place. Then, 30 minutes before the appointment where her prescription would finally be released, the billing office suddenly called to cancel every appointment. Their reason? They discovered she had Medicaid listed in the system—even though it is secondary coverage and scheduled to end within days. They could not explain why the provider refuses to see any patient with Medicaid on record, even as secondary insurance, nor why this was not checked prior to multiple visits, tests, and billable services. This is the epitome of wasteful, disorganized, and incompetent healthcare administration. After weeks of unnecessary appointments, duplicated exams, and costly lab work, we are now forced to start completely over at a new practice. The lack of transparency, communication, and basic coordination of care is unacceptable.

I went to Dr. Steadman in part to treat acne. She gave me a few options to try out, and after a few visits in which my acne seemed to get worse, she prescribed spironolactone. I started taking it around May, and then when it wasn’t improving the acne, she doubled my dose in August. At no point did she advise me to get my levels checked through a blood test, which I later learned through my PCP is highly recommended when beginning spironolactone or increasing a dose. After a visit with my PCP where I completed routine blood tests, she found that my kidneys were at stage 4 of 5 of kidney failure due to the spironolactone. I would caution anyone seeking care to ask more questions about spironolactone. Overall, Dr. Steadman presented as knowledgeable, but I was unhappy with my care which resulted in me spending several hundred dollars all for my acne to get worse, and then to almost go into kidney failure. I did share my experience through a message to Dr. Steadman on the portal and asked that they consider this when prescribing to future patients but I received no response.

This is the most impersonal, unprofessional, disappointing medical office I have ever attempted to do business with. When you arrive at their office you find a parking lot with 8 spaces, 4 of which are reserved. When you call the office, you encounter a gauntlet of AI chat bot voice mail menus. If you persist long enough you may be granted the opportunity to talk to a call center employee in another country. I regret all the time I spent filling out preregistration information for this alleged doctor’s office. I would rather remove a suspicious mole by myself with kitchen tools than attempt to interact with this business again.

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Steadman’s for over a year. The visits never last more than 5 minutes. The staff is unfriendly. Dr. Steadman is unfriendly and very impersonal. Every visit, regardless of how early she arrives, she sits in the exam room 15-25 minutes past her appointment time. Today for example, appointment was at 8:00, she arrived at 7:55, sat in exam room until 8:23, and was out by 8:30, with a prescription for another drug….after being told by Dr. steadman that she is breaking out because she didn’t go to her last appointment. The dr never did one single thing besides write a prescription. Not everyone has the time to sit for an extra 30 minutes to be seen for 5 minutes to be told the EXACT same thing every single time. Sometimes it is not worth it. Everyone’s time is important not just Dr. steadmans. I do not recommend forefront. If I could give zero starts I absolutely would. Any postive reviews are likely employees or someone being rewarded for saying anything remotely positive.

I came to this location as it was the closest Forefront Derm office that would see my 3yo. The receptionist and nurse were great; very kind and attentive. I did not like Dr. Steadman. She was very dismissive about my concerns for my son and kept giving me a weird «up and down» look that made me extremely uncomfortable. Should my son need another skin check in the future, I would take him to an entirely different network for Dermatology.

Dr. Steadman was fine during the minimal time I saw her, but the office staff and their process are not very friendly, efficient or accommodating. They emailed me (twice) saying I needed a follow-up appointment, so I made one. I arrived a few minutes late to find an empty waiting room and parking lot, no receptionist at the desk – when she finally appeared, she said she had to check if I could still be seen ( waiting room still empty). She then disappeared for another 5-6 minutes, came back and said the doctor was in a room, I should have a seat. While I wait, several other patients came in, checked in, got taken back. Twenty minutes later, without checking with the doctor or anyone, she just tells me I have to reschedule. When I asked why I was even there, she said «we were wondering about that too». She had no idea why they had repetitively emailed me saying I needed follow-up from a minor procedure last year. No apology for wasting my time, nothing.

Check-in could be improved as well as wait times when calling to make an appointment. Still, I would never go anywhere else. Thank you Drs Dineen and Shelley for your care.

Dr. Dineen is an outstanding doctor. She is understanding and knowledgeable. She has identified problem skin cancers and found them in time so they were treatable. I would highly recommend her and her associates.

I saw PA Caroline during my visit. She really listened to my concerns and made me feel like I was a part of the decisions she made to take care of my issues. From the time I walked into the facility to the time I left, I felt like the staff cared. I highly recommend Dermatology Associates of Indiana!

I arrived for my scheduled appointment only to be told it had been cancelled. I received zero notification (no email, no call) about this beforehand. It was a complete waste of my time.

I have started seeing Dr. Wilson about three years ago. Everyone is very friendly and professional and treated me well. Scheduling is great too. There is no long wait. On one of my appointments Dr. Perdue covered for Dr. Wilson and he is just as wonderful as Dr. Wilson. I highly recommend them if you’re in need to see dermatologist immediately. Thank you Dr. Wilson and Eagle Creek Derm Team!

Very disappointed!! Went for an appr. When they asked for my insurance and I handed her Anthem medicaid the receptionist wouldn’t even touch the card. Said very sparky they don’t take state insurance only private. Said I could pay up to 200 dollars as a cash patient. The way she talked down to me and acted like I was so below her. I left in tears. Glad they don’t take my insurance as I will never go back there!!

I saw Wendy Wilson. My lips are turning dark so I booked an appointment hoping to get some help in figuring out the cause. She never did any tests to figure out the problem. Wendy only gave a bunch of could-be causes and sent me home with a prescription hydrocortisone ointment and said if I needed her to call back. I would never go back to her. What a joke. She was nice but clueless. So I still don’t know why my lips are turning dark. What happened to doctors that really care and are not just looking to be paid?? I’ll keep looking.

I’ve seen a couple doctors here due to availability and me being impatient! I saw Dr. Wilson when I was younger and pursued an accutane treatment and also Dr. Perdue for some itchy skin help. I’ve always been appreciative of how quickly they were able to help me. I loved that Dr. Perdue was ready to play hardball to get my symptoms under control. I was embarrassed about it for a while and just want to get it under control. I loved that Dr. Purdue helped me, provided options, and let me decide what was best for me. He also laid out the next steps and let me know what to expect.

Currently have a 300.00 bill but I am still in the same pain that I started with. Got a cyst removed but the full sac was not taken out. The cyst got infected I was fed more antibiotic but when I called back to speak about getting assistance due to the cyst still leaking fluid and hurting I was told Dr. Perdue or his nurse would call and I’ve heard nothing! It’s been a week now going on 2! Wouldn’t recommend! Won’t be back

I have had a horrible experience with Eagle Creek Dermatology. I had warts surrounding my fingernails on both hands. Dr. Perdue suggested a yeast injection that would supposedly be «less painful» than freezing them off. I can barely type on a keyboard.. my fingers are in so much pain. And never did he once say that this treatment would cause my fingernails to FALL OFF. Which is something I would think he should have mentioned. So now not only do I still have the warts on my fingers, but I am missing two fingernails. All for the low price of $300. Do not come here if you want your doctor to actually tell you the reality of things. The only good thing about this place is the women that work in the office. update- all of my fingernails ended up falling off and the picture is what they looked like in the process of that. dont go here..

Frequently asked questions about dermatologists in Indianapolis

What types of services do dermatologists typically offer?

Dermatologists in Indianapolis provide a wide array of services, often encompassing the diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions, including acne, eczema, rosacea, and psoriasis. Many also offer cosmetic procedures such as Botox injections, dermal fillers, laser treatments for skin resurfacing, and chemical peels. It's important to confirm what specific services a dermatologist offers before scheduling an appointment.

How do I determine if I need to see a dermatologist?

You should consider consulting a dermatologist if you’re experiencing persistent skin problems, such as widespread rashes, unusual skin growths, excessive itching, or changes in your skin’s texture or pigmentation. Specifically, if you have a family history of skin cancer, or notice any suspicious moles, seeking professional evaluation is a prudent step. Don’t delay seeking a consultation if you have concerns about your skin’s health.

What kind of qualifications should I look for in a dermatologist?

When selecting a dermatologist in Indianapolis, it’s crucial to verify their qualifications. Most dermatologists are board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology, indicating they’ve completed rigorous training and passed comprehensive examinations. Look for a dermatologist with extensive experience in the specific area of dermatology that relates to your needs, such as cosmetic dermatology or surgical dermatology. Credentials and experience are key factors to consider.

What should I expect during a consultation with a dermatologist?

During your initial consultation, the dermatologist will likely perform a thorough skin examination, asking detailed questions about your medical history, medications, and your specific skin concerns. Be prepared to discuss your family history of skin conditions and any lifestyle factors that might be contributing to your problems. They’ll likely take photographs of your skin for tracking progress.

What types of treatments do dermatologists use for acne?

Dermatologists employ a variety of treatments for acne, ranging from topical medications like benzoyl peroxide and retinoids, to oral medications such as antibiotics and isotretinoin (Accutane). Treatment plans are tailored to the severity of your acne and may involve a combination of approaches. Discussing your acne type with your dermatologist is essential for a personalized treatment strategy.

What is involved in a cosmetic dermatology consultation?

A cosmetic dermatology consultation typically involves a discussion of your desired outcomes, a detailed skin assessment, and a presentation of potential treatment options. This might include laser resurfacing, dermal fillers, Botox, or chemical peels. The dermatologist will discuss the risks and benefits of each procedure and provide an estimate of the cost involved.

How much do cosmetic procedures typically cost?

The cost of cosmetic procedures varies widely depending on the type of treatment, the area being treated, and the dermatologist’s fees. Botox injections are generally the least expensive, while more complex procedures like full facial laser resurfacing can range from several hundred to several thousand dollars. It's important to get a detailed price quote before proceeding with any treatment.

What is involved in a mole removal procedure?

Mole removal, or excisions, typically involves a local anesthetic to numb the area, followed by the surgical removal of the mole. The dermatologist will then close the wound with stitches. The method used – surgical excision, shave excision, or laser removal – depends on the size, shape, and color of the mole. Careful post-operative care is essential to prevent infection and ensure proper healing.

How frequently will I need follow-up appointments?

The frequency of follow-up appointments depends on the type of treatment you’re receiving. For skin conditions like acne, you might have regular check-ups every few weeks or months, while for cosmetic procedures, you’ll likely need to schedule follow-up appointments to assess your progress and address any concerns. Maintaining open communication with your dermatologist is crucial for effective treatment.

How do I find a dermatologist in Indianapolis that accepts my insurance?

To find a dermatologist in Indianapolis that accepts your insurance, it's best to contact your insurance provider directly. They can provide you with a list of in-network dermatologists in the area and information about your coverage. You can also check the dermatologist's website or call their office to verify their participation with your specific insurance plan. Confirming coverage upfront can save you significant costs.
