I recently had my first professional massage at Body & Soul Massage Therapy with Joe S., and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Joe was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and attentive from start to finish. His expertise, particularly with sports-related injuries, was immediately evident—he was able to identify and address problem areas without me even having to point them out.

The massage was both relaxing and therapeutic. Joe’s technique demonstrated a deep understanding of muscle structure and tension patterns, and I left the session feeling noticeably better, both physically and mentally.

Overall, I highly recommend Joe S. to anyone seeking a truly professional and effective massage, whether you’re dealing with injuries or simply in need of a reset. I’ll definitely be returning.

Writing on behalf of my wife – Victor Reyes was extremely professional and showed high level expertise. I booked her an 1 hour session. He allowed her to relax and spoke only when necessary to give the massage. He had comfortable sounds, aromatics, lighting was great, and it was super clean. She’s very impressed and I will be booking her a session at least monthly! Please book with him if possible!

I had three times an excellent experience with Joe. He is very knowledgeable, take the time to listen and take your pain seriously. My body is doing so much better since I started to see him. He also took care of my mom who has had long lasting pains and she was amazed at the results.

WOW. I’m from out of town on vacation and my husband wanted me to get a massage. I have chronic pain from tension and so I’ve been massaged multiple times throughout my life. I think I’ve been massaged by about a dozen different therapists. Victor gave me my massage and just… WOW. I. Feel. Amazing. You can tell that he has a wide array of tools in his brain thanks to his expanded education in different types of massage. The sports massage side makes such a difference. I’m literally sad that I don’t live anywhere near here because I wish I could see him regularly. He is worth every penny and more. If you’re in pain and looking for a massage Victor is your guy. That hour was magical.

Also, the spa itself was very clean, orderly, and professional. Even the bathroom was beautiful. They’re building a great business.

Fyi, I got a full body massage for one hour.

Update: This is 2 years later and I honestly still think about this place. I want to go visit Indianapolis again just so I can get a massage from this guy. Still the only massage therapist (I tried to count and I think I’ve had about 20 different ones now) who has EVER been able to successfully get my jaw to stop popping for at least a couple of days after the massage. If you have problems with TMJ then this is your guy. If I didn’t live across the country I’d be in here regularly, no doubt about it.

Wow, this place is amazing! Dr. Boyd is extremely knowledgeable and takes a personal interest in his patients. He listens to your needs and offers reasonable advice. He has a great sense of humor which I admire. Kim at the front desk is also a great person. She is polite and professional and friendly. She too has a great sense of humor. You can tell the staff is bonded and they make you feel like you are part of their “family”. I’ve had many chiropractors in my lifetime, but nothing like the care and results I get from Dr. Boyd.

I worked with Jenny Antony for a handful of months, after my doctor recommended working with a dietitian. She taught me so much but explained it all in a way that was simple and felt attainable. She helped me understand the important of balance and how a few simple shifts in your diet can make such a difference. I also appreciated that I could take pictures to track my food, rather than logging each ingredient individually. This made it so much less daunting! I have really enjoyed implementing this knowledge into my everyday habits! Not to mention, she is so personable, and the zoom sessions were so convenient. I look forward to seeing my progress continue and I really appreciate all Jenny did to support me on this journey!

I’ve had an incredible experience working with Kerri Holmquist for the last couple months! She is amazing! She’s extremely knowledgeable and supportive, and I love how she personalizes her guidance for my lifestyle and goals.

Kerri has helped me establish eating and exercise habits that feel realistic and sustainable long term. She’s also taught me how to read nutrition labels, explains what specific ingredients are and the effects they have, gives me suggestions for meals and snacks on busy days so that I don’t have to eat out, and has a ton of helpful hints for when I’m in situations where I may be tempted to overeat. I’ve really noticed an overall improvement in my health and wellbeing even after a short period of time!

I highly recommend Kerri and Health Loft Nutrition, especially since it can be 100% covered by insurance!

After months of dieting and not getting the results I was looking for, I contacted Health Loft and they connected me with nutritionist Stephanie Bruzek. She is very knowledgeable and within 2 weeks she was able to pin point some issues with my diet and help me get on the right path. She holds me accountable and continues to keep me motivated by setting personal goals week after week. The best part is it’s covered by my insurance. It has been a couple of months now and I am down over 40 lbs, and feeling great! She has been a huge part of my health journey and I would strongly recommend her to anyone.

I have had the immense honor of working with Emily Burns since February 2025 and, like I frequently tell her, I don’t think I’ll ever have enough words for how grateful I am to be her client.
But I’m going to at least try here for now because she absolutely deserves the biggest shout out!!

With full transparency on my end here…
I suffer from multiple chronic illnesses, an eating disorder that started in early childhood and is still an on-going process every day (I’m in the longest period of ED recovery I’ve been in for quite some time thanks to Emily), have overcome deep trauma, battled with mental health diagnoses, and am in long-term recovery from decades of addiction. And she’s had my back through it all!
Life has not been easy or kind to me for the majority of it, but Emily has been such a saving grace for both my mental and physical health. She’s been a mentor, a safe space, a friend, and someone I can count on 100%, without a doubt.

She has helped me learn how to love myself and my body where I’m at, but also teaches me how to use healthy tools and skills and exercises to gently push myself, and that it’s ok to have bad days or feel overwhelmed or like I’m not enough – and then she reminds me of all the reasons I am enough, plus some.
She has helped me connect with a new appreciation and love for myself that I’ve never had or known.
Emily has been one of the most compassionate, kind, patient, thoughtful and supportive souls my healing journey has encountered and I’m so very grateful to have a bright soul like hers on my continuous journey of growth and self-love!

I cannot recommend Kerri Holmquist highly enough! From our very first consultation, I felt completely supported, heard, and understood. She took the time to really listen to my goals, lifestyle, and challenges, and created a customized nutrition plan that was both realistic and effective.
What truly sets her apart is the balanced, no-guilt approach to healthy eating. Rather than pushing quick fixes or extreme diets, Kerri focuses on building sustainable habits and a healthy relationship with food. I’ve not only seen improvements in my energy levels and overall health, but also feel much more confident in my food choices.
Appointments are always informative and encouraging, and I appreciate how available and responsive she is in between sessions for support or questions. Her knowledge, kindness, and professionalism make every interaction a positive one.
If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and motivating dietician who truly cares about your well-being, look no further than Kerri!

I’ve been working with Sofia as my nutritionist since January, and she has truly been a game-changer in my wellness journey. From day one, she took the time to understand my specific needs, challenges, and goals, and created a plan that felt realistic, supportive, and sustainable.

What I appreciate most about Sofia is how encouraging and consistent she is. She doesn’t just give advice—she checks in, holds me accountable, and genuinely celebrates my progress along the way. Thanks to her guidance, I’ve developed a healthier relationship with food and feel more in control of my health than I have in years.

If you’re looking for someone knowledgeable, patient, and truly committed to your success, Sofia is the one. I can’t recommend her enough!

Even non-athletes can benefit from physical therapy, and I’m one of those people! IROC has been a godsend for me. Each patient receives personalized treatment from experienced, educated therapists. The atmosphere of the entire place is upbeat and friendly, while still respecting each client’s privacy. My wonderful therapist, Amy, even knew how to cure a vertigo issue that I was experiencing!! I look forward to each session and leave feeling much healthier and happier than when I arrived. Ellen

I’ve only been to IROC Physical Therapy a couple of times so far, but it already feels like home. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the owner being one of the therapists working directly with clients really sets the tone. It’s a refreshing change from the big corporate clinics like—IROC offers the same high-quality therapies, but with a much more personal, down-to-earth feel. You can tell they genuinely care.

I can’t say enough good things about IROC Physical Therapy and Amy! After trying numerous places and treatments for my back pain, I finally found real relief here. Amy’s expertise and personalized care have made all the difference. She takes the time to understand exactly what’s going on and tailors each session to target the problem areas. The results have been amazing—I’m feeling better than I have in a long while. I highly recommend IROC to anyone struggling with any type of muscle pain. Not only is the care exceptional, but everyone at IROC is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making each visit a positive experience. It’s truly a game changer!

I’m pleased to recommend IROC Physical Therapy on 86th Street. The staff was friendly and supportive. After breaking my femur, I really needed PT to help me manage discomfort and walk without a walker or other devices. Andrew designed the PT program that worked wonders. He continued to modify the exercises and add new ones to keep me making steady progress. I’m so grateful to him and to the entire staff for the support they gave me.

I’ve tried 5 different chiropractors and deep tissue massages out in the Indy and surrounding areas before I found this place. I’ve been going to chiropractors consistently since teenage years for sports. I started seeing Dr. Ferguson last year for sciatic pain during my pregnancy and he has been amazing. I am now seeing him postpartum to alleviate back pain from that is lingering after I delivered and during the first few months of nursing with poor posture.

I also recently booked a deep tissue massage with their massage therapist. Those who know, deep tissue is not for the weak, you’re in there to work those muscles out! That being said, the treatment was worth it. I feel 10x better and he was able to get most of my knots out (some I didn’t realize I had) in the first hour session. Highly highly recommend.

I returned back to Dr. Ferguson after an extensive break and my visit did not disappoint. I was having nerve pain for 4 weeks and went in for 2 days and I’m feeling better already. I was definitely ready to make a doctor’s appointment until I remembered how much better I felt 2 years ago when he helped me.

I needed some emergency assistance in my health experience. Researching my symptoms not knowing where to start. A friend recommended that I seek out an Acupuncturists. Found Dr. Ferguson and was able to get an appointment the very next day. Dr. Ferguson and staff were so nice and attentive to my situation, and was able to calm down my symptoms so that I could function that day. I was so glad that they were there. It is hard to trust anyone these days but I trust Dr. Ferguson he gave it to me straight and I am a lot better.

A miracle story. My son’s cheek hurt for years and his pediatrician has no clue how to help him. We tried many things and nothing worked. As a last resort, we were referred to Dr Ferguson for acupuncture and my son was better that day and healed from years of misery and pain with one treatment!!! I don’t know what I’d have done without the help.

Paula McKinney

I began my journey with Restore Health Center to lose a little weight and have overall better feeling. I am a 62 years old retired nurse but have battled with weight my entire life despite knowing what foods were bad for me. I had type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, reflux and constipation. My doctors wanted to treat me with pills but Dr. Taylor wanted to find out the cause of my fatigue, malaise and pain. Dr. Taylor ran numerous tests on me and found that I had inflammation, parasites, mold, yeast, and heavy metals in my body that were probably the cause of my symptoms. The labs also showed that my gut did not like gluten. Months after starting the program with the elimination diet, detox, supplements and learning about what good health is, I have more energy and sleep better at night. I am walking 1 1/2 miles three times a week, down over 14 pounds, off my diabetic pill, off my reflux pill, and my blood pressure pill has been cut in half. Finally, I have learned to take better care of myself, eat right (I went gluten free) and exercise appropriately. Thanks Dr. Taylor and Erin for all the education, support and caring! My body feels so much better!
Blessings, Paula

Meeting Vince and Erin was a gift from God! Our daughter developed a gluten allergy after having Covid 4yrs ago. We did the SAAT treatment and she no longer has the allergy to gluten. We are all so excited to feel like she has been freed from what felt like a prison. Not being able to enjoy the foods she loved for so long had been challenging. I plan to go and have my seasonal and animal allergies treated soon. We highly recommend calling them and getting scheduled as soon as possible. Vince and Erin gave us the miracle we had been praying for.

All I can say is wow! Prior to “Restoring my health” I was low energy, poor diet, poor gut health, and no real desire to participate in the daily activities of every day life. I joined the Taylor family and they helped me turn my life around. I started detoxing, taking supplements and learned how to understand food labels. This change in me did not occur overnight, it was and still is a process. I am so grateful to the Taylor’s for helping me get my life back.

I was struggling with some health issues related to mold, fungal overgrowth, and parasites. After visiting with a Family Medicine doctor it was apparent that they didn’t have the tools to help me. After an extensive search I found Restore Health Center.

Dr. Taylor and Dr. Taylor have your best interest at heart. They understand the struggles because they have been through them themselves. They listen to your struggles, and along with the lab results devise a program to help you get back to feeling the way you want to. They not only address the physical, but also the mental and spiritual. When you follow the program you will feel better. Your energy will increase, the weight will drop, and you will be in a better place mentally about yourself. Best of all, both of them will be there with you on your journey. Offering guidance, praise, and accountability when you need it. They don’t just give you a program and tell you good luck, they will be with you every step of the way.

My husband had a stage 4 sacral pressure ulcer and a deep wound heel injury groom 13 days in an acute rehab facility.
We learned about Restore Health mobile wound care. Going to an outpatient wound care center was not an option.
Dr. Cheryl Stone and her devoted team came to our home weekly. The sacral wound has completely healed and the heel wound is close.
Dr Stone is kind, caring and extremely knowledgeable . He could not have received better care.

I’ve been gluten intolerant since I was 30, after having my youngest son and two surgeries. I’m 48 now. I had the SAAT treatment done the weekend before Christmas. The treatment itself was painless and quick. I honestly didn’t think that it would change anything but I’m open minded and I figured it was worth a try. After the needles were removed, I ate gluten a few times that same day. I had no noticeable reaction. I can normally tell within 15 minutes if I have gluten because my upper back and neck will have painful inflammation. I also get congested and it progresses from there. I had a slice of regular bread the following day and still had no reaction. I’m thankful to Dr. Taylor. I’ve dealt with this for 18 years and now it seems that it’s gone.

Went in not being able to breathe though my nose. I thought it was just seasonal allergies but after months and months of not being able to breathe out of my nose. I went in to see DR Taylor, he did some test and come to find out I was allergic to a chemical that I use at work. He did the Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment. And the next day I went back to work I could finally breathe through my nose normally. If you are having problems with your allergies I would highly recommend going to see DR Taylor

I have been attending Club Pilates North for several years now. I absolutely love it! The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable & patient. The studio is always clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I have horrible posture from sitting at my desk at work for 10-12 hours every day. Pilates has helped my back & core strength. I feel rejuvenated after each class. I highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a fun & effective workout. If you aren’t sure what type of workout is best for you, Pilates is always a good place to start. It’s a mix of strength training, flexibility, balance & mobility work. You won’t regret trying it out ….trust me!

The staff is very friendly & helpful! They are amazing, helping local veterans achieve their fitness goals! I’m a disabled veteran & chronic pain warrior. I had an Achilles tendon rupture at the beginning of March and had to drop everything including my Pilates classes, I was devastated. Fast forward 3 1/2 months my achilles tendon had grown back in and the staff was able to work me back in on their schedule for June & July! This was detrimental to my physical therapy & recovery! Core strength is so important to our veterans who can’t get this level of service anywhere else! Bravo Zulu to the staff as we say in the military; Job well done! ️

Online Schedule Process ~ Intro Class
* Online completion of required medical forms/other waivers for pre-class failed, resulting in onsite registration sign-off a few minutes prior to the intro class. I am concerned that Club Pilates personnel did not fully reviewed my physical/medical forms prior to approving my participation.

Initial Visit ~ Intro Class
* Upon entry, the facility appeared clean and the reception staff was kind and welcoming.
* The introductory class for which I was scheduled started approx. 30-40 minutes late b/c the other participant enrolled in the class arrived late.
* I intially enjoyed meeting Emily Instructor, as she seemed enthusiastic, knowlegable and client-centered.
* Approx. 20 min. into the intro session it appeared that the instructor’s focus shifted from an all client-focus to that of the least-fit client to lock-in a multi-month commitment.

I’m glad I attended a pilates workout there, however, I’m not convinced that my experience at Club Pilates is the indicative of the rich and rewarding workouts my friends and loved ones have experienced at other local and domestic studios.

Healthcare litigation and dispute resolution

Civil attorneys in Indianapolis provide guidance and representation in healthcare litigation and dispute resolution, supporting hospitals, clinics, physicians, and patients when disagreements escalate. They handle matters ranging from contract disputes and professional liability to regulatory investigations and compliance issues. In complex matters, they oversee pre-suit investigations, organize evidence gathering, coordinate with medical experts, and manage discovery, motions, and trial preparation. They advise on alternative dispute resolution such as mediation and arbitration to pursue efficient outcomes while protecting client rights. They also assist with settlement negotiations, risk assessment, and the drafting of terms that address confidentiality, lien resolution, and payment arrangements. Their work emphasizes patient safety, quality assurance, and risk management programs within health care organizations to minimize future disputes.

Medical malpractice defense and patient safety cases

In medical malpractice matters, civil attorneys in Indianapolis analyze allegations of improper standard of care, negligence, and causation. They review medical records, consult with qualified expert witnesses, and evaluate the viability of claims or defenses. Attorneys guide clients through statute of limitations issues, notice requirements, and the compassionate handling of sensitive disputes. They coordinate pre-trial hearings, discovery requests, and strategic trial preparations, while pursuing settlement negotiations when appropriate. The aim is to protect the integrity of health services while ensuring fair accountability, engaging in robust advocacy that considers patient welfare, documentation integrity, and system improvements that reduce recurrence of errors.

Healthcare contracts and vendor agreements

Healthcare entities in Indianapolis rely on robust contract drafting and contract review for relationships with suppliers, insurers, and independent providers. Civil attorneys assess and negotiate vendor agreements, managed care contracts, and employment arrangements to allocate risk appropriately through clear indemnification, liability allocation, and performance standards. They ensure compliance with applicable payer requirements, privacy and data security provisions, and dispute resolution clauses. By interpreting complex terms, they help healthcare organizations align contracts with regulatory mandates and financial goals, while safeguarding work-for-hire provisions, ownership of intellectual property, and competitive safeguards in a rapidly evolving health market.

Regulatory compliance and licensing

Compliance and licensing are central to health operations. Civil attorneys in Indianapolis assist with regulatory compliance, including state health department directives, licensing board requirements, and federal laws that affect patient care delivery. They address issues related to Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and HIPAA-related obligations, helping clients implement compliance programs, conduct internal audits, and respond to investigations. They also guide the preparation of policies and training programs to reduce noncompliance risk, support licensure renewals, and navigate credentialing processes for clinicians, ensuring ongoing eligibility to provide care in a regulated environment.

HIPAA, privacy, and data security

Privacy and data security are critical in health settings. Civil attorneys examine HIPAA compliance, patient privacy rights, and the handling of sensitive health information. They draft and review business associate agreements, implement risk assessments, and advise on breach response plans, incident notifications, and remediation steps. They help health entities address data sharing with third parties, ensure secure electronic health records management, and mitigate data breach liabilities. Their guidance supports a culture of privacy by design and aligns security practices with evolving regulatory expectations and penalties for noncompliance.

Labor and employment in health organizations

Employment matters within health organizations require specialized knowledge of employment law and personnel management. Civil attorneys in Indianapolis counsel on employee relations, wage and hour compliance, and the handling of non-compete and restrictive covenants where applicable. They address wrongful termination, disciplinary actions, and accommodations for disabilities, while pursuing equitable resolution of disputes through grievance procedures and formal mediation when possible. Guidance on succession planning, workforce diversity, harassment prevention, and contract-based physician arrangements helps healthcare facilities maintain a stable and compliant work environment.

Insurance defense and reimbursement disputes

Insurance and payer dynamics are central to sustaining health services. Civil attorneys work on reimbursement disputes, claims denials, and coverage gaps with insurers and government programs. They guide providers through appeals, resolving claims denial issues, and negotiating with payer contracts to support timely reimbursement. They also advise on ERISA-related matters, supplier and provider network disagreements, and the interpretation of coverage terms for complex medical cases. Through strategic negotiation and litigation when needed, they help maintain financial stability while upholding patient access to essential care.

Patient advocacy and rights enforcement

Protecting patient rights involves navigating access to health information, informed consent, and equitable treatment. Civil attorneys assist with patient rights advocacy, ensure appropriate medical records access, and enforce consent and autonomy in care decisions. They handle complaints and grievances, address issues of discrimination or bias, and support mechanisms for accessible care. By representing patients, families, and health organizations in disputes, they promote fairness, transparency, and accountability across the continuum of care, aiming to improve outcomes and patient trust in the healthcare system.

Frequently asked questions about health in Indianapolis

What are the major health concerns in Indianapolis?

Common health concerns in Indianapolis include heart disease, diabetes, cancer, stroke, and issues related to obesity and smoking. Substance use disorders and opioid-related harms are also priorities, along with environmental factors that influence health outcomes. Local data from health departments and hospitals highlight disparities among certain communities, especially in access to preventive care, mental health services, and chronic disease management. Public health campaigns emphasize routine screenings, timely vaccination, and healthy lifestyle choices to reduce risk. Community organizations and clinics work to improve immunization rates, provide care coordination, and connect residents with primary care and specialty services.

Where can I access primary care in Indianapolis?

Access to primary care is available through a mix of federally qualified health centers, hospital-based clinics, university-affiliated practices, and private physicians. Look for clinics offering sliding-scale fees, same- or next-day appointments, and comprehensive care coordination. If you have health insurance, use a directory to find a provider in your network; if not, search for low-cost or no-cost options in your area, including community health centers and student health services where available. Local pharmacies often provide basic preventive care and referrals to medical home resources.

How can I find low-cost health care or clinics in Indianapolis?

To locate affordable options, start with the Indiana Health Coverage Programs for insurance assistance, and explore federally qualified health centers in the city that offer sliding-scale fees. University clinics and hospital outreach programs sometimes provide reduced-cost services for uninsured or underinsured residents. Community organizations may also run programs for women’s health, child health, and geriatric care at reduced rates. Always ask about cost estimates and any available payment plans during the scheduling process.

What resources exist for mental health in Indianapolis?

Mental health resources include state and local services like the Indiana Department of Mental Health and Addiction, local community mental health centers, and national hotlines such as 988. Nonprofit organizations, therapists and psychiatrists accept various forms of coverage and offer counseling, crisis support, and outreach. For immediate concerns, the 988 Lifeline provides crisis intervention, while longer-term care may involve therapy, psychiatric consultations, and case management to coordinate services. Schools, employers, and faith-based groups often collaborate to connect residents with mental health supports.

What should I know about vaccination services in Indianapolis?

Vaccination services are offered through the Indiana Department of Health, local health departments, pediatric and family clinics, and many pharmacies. Following the routine childhood schedule and adult immunizations helps protect individuals and the community. Locate clinics offering free or low-cost vaccines for eligible people, and verify eligibility for programs such as school-entry immunizations and travel vaccines if needed. Remember to keep a personal vaccination record and check for any recall notices from public health authorities.

How does the public health system work in Indianapolis?

The public health system combines state-level leadership from the Indiana Department of Health with county and city efforts led by organizations like the Marion County Public Health Department. Hospitals, clinics, EMS, and community partners collaborate on surveillance, outbreak response, and preventive services such as immunizations, screenings, and health education. Residents can access health data through official portals and participate in community health programs to address local needs.

What safety steps can residents take to reduce heart disease risk?

Key steps include adopting a heart-healthy diet such as a Mediterranean-style pattern, engaging in regular physical activity (aiming for at least 150 minutes per week), and obtaining regular blood pressure and cholesterol screenings. Avoiding tobacco, limiting alcohol, and maintaining a healthy weight are also important. Manage stress, get adequate sleep, and follow your clinician’s advice on medication adherence if prescribed. Community outreach programs and mobile clinics can help with ongoing screening and education.

Where can I find reliable health information online for Indianapolis residents?

Reliable sources include official Indiana Department of Health pages, CDC, and reputable hospital and university sites. Local public health dashboards, environmental health alerts, and vaccination schedules are frequently updated. Be cautious of unverified sources and verify information with a trusted health professional or official portal. If you need specialized guidance, contact a licensed clinician in your area.

What are the options for urgent care in Indianapolis?

Urgent care centers offer after-hours and weekend access for non-emergency conditions, with shorter wait times than emergency departments. They can handle sore throats, minor injuries, and different vaccinations. If symptoms suggest a true emergency—such as severe chest pain, stroke symptoms, or difficulty breathing—go to the nearest emergency department or call emergency services. Check insurance coverage and location, and consider telehealth visits as an option for non-urgent concerns.

How does air quality affect health in Indianapolis?

Air quality affects respiratory and cardiovascular health. The city experiences seasonal variations in the Air Quality Index, with higher ozone and fine particulate matter (PM2.5) levels on hot days and during wildfire events in some years. People with asthma, allergies, or heart or lung conditions should monitor air quality alerts and limit outdoor exertion when indices are elevated. Practical steps include keeping windows closed on poor days, using air purifiers, and supporting urban planning that reduces emissions. Local and state agencies publish daily updates and guidance.
