Kountry Kitchen

Located on college avenue, which is about 2.7 miles from downtown Indianapolis. This is a must for authentic soul food! Modern, upscale restaurants. I highly recommend this she-crab bisque: creamy crab broth with generous chunks of real crab meat. Their signature dish: 6 hour oxtail dinner. Three large pieces o oxtail vertebrae, so juicy and the meat falls of the bone. I recommend the garlic mashed potatoes and grilled corn side dishes. It comes with a delicious piece of their signature cornbread.

This is a must stop for "downhome" food. My wife and I are here from Houston TX, and decided to try out various restaurants that had the "taste of home". Kountry Kitchen not only met expectations, they far excelled above them. The atmosphere is nice, family oriented and extra clean. The food...absolutely fabulous, the drinks are well prepared and the staff is wonderful. I had the Whiting and my wife had the catfish platter. Do your pallette a favor, and visit this wonderful establishment.

As always, we love a good restaurant and today was no different. We decided to have breakfast at Kountry Kitchen. I have to say, the service started out a little slow and not so friendly but she got better. The food was really good! From the Peach Bellini to my Chicken and Waffle platter to his Oxtail Hash. It was all good. We’ll be back for dinner and a little football soon.

We had the BEST lunch at Kountry Kitchen today, our fav place while visiting Indianapolis. The food was incredible, and our server was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed it all, but the shrimp & grits were especially excellent!

I ordered the soul food egg rolls, fried green tomatoes, braised oxtail. Everything was good. The waitress we had was outstanding. I forgot to mention I ordered the watermelon jalapeño margarita. 🔥🔥🔥 I will be returning to Indianapolis with my friends from Ohiovjust to come here. Girls trip comming soon

Ordered from door dash, the fish was good l everything else, they should’ve ashamed. The yams and Mac were disappointing but the deviled eggs were the biggest disappointment of it all.

Just had our first visit and wow, what an experience! 🤩 Started off with the Soul Rolls, and they were seriously next-level good. 💯 Then we dove into the Beef Manhattan and a combo plate – so much deliciousness! 🤤 I'm already planning my next trip back!
