Dr. Tavel Family Eyecare - Lafayette Rd.

This was my second time there in about 20 years and my experience was just as pleasant as the first visit! The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable. The entire process took about a half an hour including picking and ordering new glasses from the time of checking in with my insurance. Such a smooth, organized, not rushed but quick process! 10/10 would recommend to any and everyone.

I love Dr. Tavel on Lafayette Road. I’ve been going there for years. I also go there because it’s closer to my area. I don’t have any complaints. I just wish that they would have a lot more frame selection.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Dr. Tavel! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. Chris checked me in quickly and was so friendly, setting the tone for a great visit. His welcoming attitude immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. Heather truly went above and beyond with her top-tier customer service. She was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping me find the perfect pair of glasses. She took the time to understand my style and needs, making sure I walked away with frames that I absolutely love. On top of that, she guided me through the process of purchasing contacts, ensuring everything was seamless and stress-free. Her kindness and expertise made such a difference! I also want to highlight the amazing doctor who assisted me—unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name, but she was incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and kind. She took the time to explain everything clearly, answer my questions, and make sure I felt confident in my vision care. The entire team at Dr. Tavel made me feel like family, not just another customer. Their level of care, professionalism, and genuine kindness is unmatched. It’s rare to find a place where every single person is so dedicated to making your experience exceptional, but that’s exactly what you get here. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for top-notch eye care and outstanding customer service. I will definitely be back!

Very poor and unprofessional customer service skills. Firstly, we waited 20-25 mins to be addressed (when it was an scheduled appointment). Secondly, waited another 30 minutes after exam for the rep to schedule an eye surgery THAT WE DID NOT ASK HER TO DO! I told her she does not know my availability, so we will take care of it. Fast forward a week or two, we are contacted about a surgery that was SCHEDULED on a date that DOES NOT work for us, which we will be canceling. I don’t believe that was showing good customer service skills nor blatantly disregarding what someone is asking you NOT TO DO! I wish my clients/family did not have to continue to go here.

The second I stepped in the music was playing very inappropriate music that was not sensored. They seemed more interested in gabbing with each other and sharing stuff on their phones than doing their actual jobs. It was like I wasn't even there. First they couldn't find my account because she didn't have my name right. I had to explain that I had been to a Dr. Tavel's location, just not that one. Zero professionalism. Everything about the appointment was just strange. Will not be back.

I had a great experience from the beginning until the end of my visit. Customer service and the Doctor were both amazing!

If you go here needing a simple service, or even a check in.. Evette is whom will help you in a jiffy. I waited for some time and no one asked if I needed help. Evette got me in. Fixed my glasses and sent me on my way. She is the best. And I’d recommend asking for her before wasting your time with anyone else. They will drag their feet before they ask if you need help. Evette was the best because she was kind and fast. Thank you Dr. Tavel ♥️
