Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and the line was out the door. But after getting donuts (and cookies and brownies) we realized why. Delicious. Hard to pick one – I had the peanut butter and jelly donut. Awesome stuff

Cash only. Be prepared

These place had absolutely DELICIOUS donuts! Always looking for old-school family run bakeries and this one hit the spot! The cinnamon sugar cake donut was my favorite. It was moist and fresh and had the perfect flavor of cinnamon and sugary sweetness! The lady who took my order was also very nice and the prices were great too! This is exactly what you would expect from a classic bakery. If you’re in the area, this is a must stop! Sooo good!

We came here because this was listed as one of the top eats in Indy. I found the donuts to be good. They weren’t anything unique in my opinion but I would eat them again if given the option. The original glazed was my favorite. Make sure you have cash on you when you come.

This local favorite has been around since the 50s, and for good reason. It’s cash only & the line is almost always long, but good things are worth the wait. $15 for artisan donuts…wow!

I don’t know about anyone else, but I never heard of yeast donuts. I sure do like their glazed donuts though.

Crumbl is having its moment on social media and I think it’s cool how there’s new flavors every week.

My cousins and I came by for dessert after dinner right before closing on a weekday. Our flavors: oreo cheesecake, chocolate chip, strawberry, and fruit tart.

We got a 4 cookie box. I thought it was pricey until I saw the size of the cookies—they’re huge! It’s like $5 dollars per cookie after tax and tip. We don’t have sweet tooth’s so we each shared a bite. I recommend having this with milk to wash down the sugar. The idea of a 800-1000 calorie cookie scares me but I would have a hard time finishing just one, let alone a whole box on my own.

The strawberry cookie had a sweet strawberry icing that tasted like real strawberries! Didn’t taste artificial; not tart and had added sweetness from the sugar but this was the highlight for me. The cookie was a sugar cookie base.

The red white and blue (?): Another sugar cookie base, this was a pretty cookie but quite sweet. Nothing to write home about.

The chocolate chips in the cookie were caramel-colored and a bit big so it doesn’t look like a traditional chocolate chip cookie. It was my favorite out of the four. The chips are too sweet for me so I like the dough more.

The oreo cheesecake looked the heaviest so we saved it for last, but surprisingly it was the least sweet! The cheese flavor balances the sugar out. There’s a nice crust on the bottom too.

Honestly didn’t feel that great after eating this for dessert but it was a novel experience getting to see all the flavors and pretty cookies.

This was my first visit to Crumble, so we weren’t familiar with the store or even how to order. We were not greeted when we came in and had to ask questions. We stood there for a while as people milled around; no one acknowledged us or asked if they could help us. Though, I think it’s based on their assumption that everyone knows what to do when they walk in. We had to say excuse me and ask questions before anyone acknowledged us. The young man who helped us was very knowledgeable and helpful. He placed the order for us, and I paid. We bought the giant chocolate chip cookies and had them boxed separately.

The cookie was delicious on a scale of 1 to 10. I would give it a solid 7.2, not the very best, but also above average. It was soft but not too soft; it had a good cookie ratio to chocolate chips. I think I would have enjoyed the cookie a bit more if it were a bit crispier but not crunchy if that makes sense. Is the cookie worth 5$ a cookie ? Humm probably considering how expensive ingredients are these days, so for the price point, it’s worth it. Is it as good as Nothing Bundt cakes? While it’s like comparing apples to oranges, it is a niche pastry business, and so on that level, yes.

I just ate the most delicious pork chop I have ever eaten in my life here! Seriously. This place is a little confusing when you first get here. The tables are intermingled with a shopping area, which makes for a unique experience. Lots of cute vintage trinkets, handmade decor, toys and one of a kind items, some with German heritage and some not. Overall an enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend. The only downfall was that they do not serve schnitzel. I was a bit disappointed by that but the pork chop was so delicious it made up for it!

The food, baked goods, and pastries are delicious. I ordered the Berliner Mettwurst plate, and it was meaty and flavorful. The potato salad had a hint of vinegar and a great smoky flavor from the bacon. The rye bread had a great chew, was dense and delicious. My wife ordered the Bratwurst plate, and she loved the mild flavor as well as the potato salad. My son ordered the Grilled Cheese. He loved the crunch from the butterd and grilled bread and how soft the cheese was. It was very cheesy and delicious. Before we left, we ordered bread and pastries to enjoy at home, and we are very happy that we did. The highlight was the Bienenstich cake because it was delicious. Creamy and luscious Bavarian Cream, light and airy cake topped with sugared and roasted almonds. Absolutely divine.

My husband and I came here because the place caught our eye on our way home! When we went inside, its Germen culture was shown through everywhere from its candies, pastries, food, and grocery!! We were welcomed warmly and had a wonderful experience! The food was super delicious and the service was excellent! It became a spontaneous and fun date! I’d recommend anyone going.

Oh Heidelberg Haus… Jürgen, I hope you live forever! THE best German food in all of Indiana. A true treat. The juiciest bratwursts, pan grilled served up with savory, warm bacon-y german potato salad (hot tip: order double potato salad for a small, but worth it, upcharge ), paired with a slice of Jürgen’s homemade Black Forest Cake with cherries layered in, made from scratch cream and rich chocolate cake ❤️

The Gallery Pastry Shop offers a delightful dining experience, blending creative pastries and gourmet flavors in a cozy and artistic atmosphere. Our sever Carolyn was amazing and attentive.

The Bougie Benedict was a breath of fresh air compared to your normal Eggs Benedict. The dish had perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, and a touch of caviar on top all sitting on the fluff croissant. The burst of flavors tingle your taste buds with every bite.

The BLT croissant sandwich I had was impressive, with a buttery, flaky exterior surrounding fresh greens, savory bacon, and tomato provided a well-balanced mix of textures.

The fries were another standout — crisp, perfectly seasoned, and garnished with herbs, making each bite satisfying. Accompanied by 3 sauces, Pesto Mayo, Homemade Hot Sauce and Green Goddess Sauce, it felt like a comforting yet elevated take on a classic side dish.

Overall, the shop exudes a charming ambiance with thoughtful touches, like the small decorative pumpkin, adding a seasonal flair. It’s an excellent spot for indulging in both comfort food and culinary artistry. Highly recommended for brunch lovers and anyone with a taste for fresh, innovative pastry creations.

The only downside was they were sold out of the Taylor Swift Macaroons!

We went here on a date night. It wasn’t very busy for a Friday night and most of my friends like this place for brunch or after work so made sense. I haven’t had much success in any food I’ve tried the three times I previously came here, but I really thought this time my dish was very good. Risotto. And the bartender Jace was training someone and making cocktails and we really enjoyed our drinks and being part of sitting at the bar.

This was my first visit to Gallery Pastry Shop for dinner. Although the Devour menu was available, my friend and I wanted to try the regular dinner menu and it was great! We tried the savory fritters, Asian chopped salad with chicken and the chicken sammie. All were flavorful and delicious. The service was also fantastic- we will be back!

A super cute little brunch spot!

The croissant is so flaky and buttery. I’d reccomend getting something other then the gravy and croissant.

When I ordered it I did not know I was getting mostly gravy. It was AWESOME. I just wasn’t feeling it that day! Most people arnt about this much gravy. I ended up taking it with me for eating onto of my husband’s leftovers.

Just made an online order for 2 baby carriage cakes for a baby shower next weekend. The online order process was super easy and quick. After I pick up the cakes on the 8-17-24, I will do another review about the actual food.
Update:
The cakes were amazing. They tasted great, weren’t dry at all and they looked great. The lavender icing could’ve been mixed a bit more, but besides that they were great and everyone loved them.

Once again, Yo, Chris and staff at Taylor’s made our GOGO (Get One, Give One) Pie event a hit with our clients! 128 delicious pies delivered safely and promptly the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, putting a smile on the faces of our clients AND the faces of their gifted recipients—neighbors, friends, shut-ins, et al. Taylor staff definitely deserved their post-Turkey holiday!

I’m from out of state. I heard so much from relatives about how delicious their butter flake rolls were that I had to try some. I arrived early about 7AM because I heard they sold out so quickly. I bought a bag and took them to the home of my father. They were so stale we just threw them out. My bad because I didn’t check the date on the bag and I didn’t try to take them back for a refund. Apparently Taylor’s has no qualms about selling what must have been days old stale product!

Order my wife’s birthday cake for her surprise day online, no interaction. Process was easy. Found the right size and design I wanted and it was simple to choose flavor, filling, and topping flavor.

And this was my first time buying it here and I was in a crunch for time! Let me tell you if this wasn’t (I’m not making this up) one the best cakes we’ve ever had! We mean it. The cake was so moist and the flavor is astounding but not overpowering. It was sweet but easy on the stomach and light and the cream just flowed and it’s been consistently tasting the same as the first bite as we’ve been eating at it for the last couple of days.

The wife has been talking about the cake with everyone from how beautiful it looked to the taste. Definitely 1000x better than getting cheap cakes from non bakeries. And the experience from start to finish online to picking up in the bakery was flawless experience. We are incredibly happy with the purchase, the experience, and of course the taste (and even how affordable it was for the quality we got!)

Pana has the best tasting donuts on the Southside! This is probably my 5th time here and today I got a bacon, egg and cheese croissant sandwich with a maple filled bar and chocolate filled bar. The sandwich is on a soft and buttery croissant roll and the donuts are soft, airy and done to perfection. The staff is always polite and friendly as well. I used to grab donuts at Longs and Jacks but no more. Oh, they have a drive through at the back of the building as well. Keep up the great work! Love this spot.

First time visiting and this place is precious!! The novelty of it definitely won me over – the colors, the fairy lights, the beautiful cakes and baked goods, it just makes you feel good. It’s definitely a place for moms and daughters!

The menu has lots to choose from and the food I ordered was very good! The bread and butter they bring out before the meal is literally to die for! I ordered the turkey & gruyere sandwich with the arugula salad and a cup of the chicken velvet soup, all were delicious, but the soup was definitely the show stopper! So yummy!!

I’ve always heard mixed reviews about their cakes, so I decided to stick with a cake that I love and that was the carrot cake. First off, the glitter on the cake, so cute, just love it!! The cake itself was moist and it was good cake, the icing and the filling were good as well, but it’s not your typical icing or filling, it’s more of a muted flavor, but I think it compliments the cake well and I would definitely order it again.

The service was fine, I didn’t feel they went over and above or that the service was exceptional, but certainly no complaints or issues.

The only issue I had was the wait and the space. We had reservations, arrived about 10 minutes early and still had a 30 minute wait and while I do appreciate they don’t rush their customers, I think that 30 minutes is too long of a wait when you have made reservations. Also, for anyone that may be claustrophobic, it’s pretty full when all tables are at capacity. Granted, I think the size of the restaurant adds to the allure of the place, but if you’re seated in the front of the restaurant, there is not a lot of room. Despite those two issues, I’d return, it’s just too cute not to!!

But I am here to say customer response to a charge card error was beyond excellent. I accidentally (way) over tipped and was notified by my bank. When I called Cake Bake, they jumped in full force and the issue was resolved in 2 days. Their remediation, friendliness, and communication was 10 star. Merry Christmas!

Wonderful bridal shower experience. They even had a cake bake crown available for purchase. The printed dinner menu was lovely. The service in the little private dining area was deluxe. 10 of us had a beautiful experience. We came from Louisville for the experience and it was well worth it.

This was hands down the most memorable and unique dining experience I have had. I brought my girls, and they were just in awe. If we make it back to Indy, we will absolutely return. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive and really made sure to engage with the girls to make their lunch special. Highly recommend the Baked Fontina Cheese to start, Sparkling Lavender Lemonade, and do not miss the opportunity to try their world-class desserts. Thanks to The Cake Bake Shop for an experience my girls and I will never forget.

We have been coming to Cake Bake for years, and decided to visit the original location for a celebration. Unfortunately we won’t be coming back to this location. It’s beautifully decorated but it was so cold it was difficult to enjoy. Even the service staff was visibly shaking. Our food was delicious, but our hot drinks came out lukewarm. We arrived 15 minutes after they opened for the day and they were already out of quiche, and later on they were out of bread for sandwiches. Our whole brunch took almost 3 hours as everything was served extremely spaced out. With how expensive things are, you would expect a warm atmosphere and full availability of the menu. If you want to visit for the decor, I recommend grabbing some cake and leaving it at that.

I love Boyden’s. Everything about it. The sugar cookies, gators, custom birthday cakes, the cherry chip! (I live right by the original Long’s so that’s my go-to for non-cherry chip donuts.) This last time I went though, the first in several months, I was shocked by the prices. Things had gone up like 10-20%. I know inflation is bad right now but dang. I spent almost $30 on eight cookies, a baby gator, and a danish. I love this place, but it’s going to be reserved for splurges.

This is something my husband enjoys Cream Puffs and he also wanted to be put on the list for the Honeydew for Christmas, if they decide to make them, fingers crossed for his sake.
I do not eat this, too much sugar too sweet for me.

I buy at least 6 cakes a year from Boydens, and when I tell you they have the best cakes in the Midwest I’m not lying. The cake will last a month and still be moist. I’ve been in Indianapolis for 3yrs and I’ve only bought cakes from Boydens, no need to change it up, they never disappoint

We ordered cookies for my son’s wedding. Their peanut butter cookies are the best! So are the chocolate chip cookies. They also made iced sugar cookies and put their initials on them inside a heart with an arrow through it.

My favorite breakfast food. I love this stuff buns with all the different fillings. My favorites are the fruit , sausage gravy, and bacon & egg with cheese. They are so good warmed up. Very reasonably priced. If you’re in the area stop by. I wish there were more locations that in the Indy area. Please expand to the Fort Wayne area.

Love this place! Their quality of a classic Kolache(fruit or something wrapped in pastry) is amazing! The staff was really nice and that’s from multiple visits. I do like how many types they have however I wish there was a little different method to warming them up… they stick it in the microwave. It does warm it it however doesn’t seem the best for a place where pastry is the main ingredient.

This was by FAR an awesome Breakfast Experience! The customer service was outstanding! There were about 20 customers that came thru the line only waiting a minute or two at most to get their food. I tried the Spinach Cream Cheese, Texas Hot Polish Sausage, and Ranchero and Sausage & Cheese Jalapeño! They were phenomenal choices! Also do not forget the Hot Coffee is was great!
Definitely will return and highly recommend making this restaurant that has been here 20 years a stop for great Kolache!

Friendly staff, delicious food offerings wrapped in the softest dough, prepared daily. Very much worth a taste or six, lol. Surely you won’t just get a single kolache. From breakfast, to lunch, and even fruit varieties, everyone was tasty.
