Con- I would not recommend Larisa Marcone as an agent. From the beginning, it felt like she was only in it for the money and not to actually help us as clients. At one point, she even told me over the phone, “I do not want to do this back and forth phone calls.” As a real estate agent, communication is literally part of the job—especially when clients are making the biggest purchase of their lives.

She pushed my husband and me to sign the contract while we were driving home from work, which I found incredibly unprofessional. A home purchase is a huge financial decision, and we needed time to review and think it through—not be pressured into signing on the spot. She was not understanding of our concerns and only seemed focused on closing the deal to get her commission.

She also acted as a dual agent, which was our first mistake. We had hoped she would remain neutral, but she clearly wasn’t looking out for us as the buyers. For example, when we asked her to bring up issues with the home, she failed to do so, and we ended up having to confront the sellers directly at signing.

The worst part was the contract. She told us to just “look it over and call if we had questions.” Turns out she slipped in terms that allowed the sellers to stay in the home rent-free for three weeks. She never explained the difference between “possession” and “signing,” and we only learned about it after the papers were signed. This felt like a deliberate lack of transparency.

To top it off, while most agents show some appreciation to their clients at closing, she didn’t bother. I don’t care about the gift itself, but given that she earned commission from representing both sides, the lack of acknowledgment spoke volumes about her priorities. She never gave us a closing gift, no gift card, nothing!

In short: she was not professional, not transparent, and not working in our best interest. If you value communication, honesty, and client care, I strongly suggest finding a different agent.

Poor service and not responsive. All landlords need to know how horrible this company is. The company’s handling of tenants’ issues/requests make you want to move out of a perfect house. Takes several weeks to hear back for an emergency repair request and longer for general requests that are still important. Charged over double for rent 1 month without any response from them. We have put up with this company for 2 years and don’t think we can take anymore. Please reconsider when renting from them.
