If I could give -5 stars, I would. What an awful experience—run far, far away. This was the worst customer service I’ve had in years. I would hire clowns before giving this company another dollar. Their three drivers (all grown men) refused to walk literally across the street to pick up the rentals from my garage. Instead, they sat in their truck for over 30 minutes until I paid them $1,000. The road in front of the home was temporarily shut down due to an event and had just been power washed, but they were able to park directly across from it. Still, they refused to get out of the vehicle. They offered to return later without a charge, but we had an event in progress and needed the product removed as arranged. They eventually came down to $500, but the entire interaction felt like dealing with the cartel—knowing I had no choice, they held my wallet hostage. I wasn’t present to move the items myself, but let me be clear: I personally carried all of the tables and chairs out of the home, down the stairs, and into the garage by myself when they were delivered. Three men could have had everything loaded in under 25 minutes. Instead, they chose to sit in their van. To make matters worse, the caterer I hired had warned me not to use this company, and I wish I had listened. I host 5+ events every month, and I will never use them again. For context: out of hundreds of reviews I’ve left on Google, this is only the second negative one. That should say it all.
We were very frustrated with A Classuc Oarty Rental in that we were charged an additional $40 for 12 missing napkins as we were purchased the loss/damage waiver for another $129!!! We were informed that the loss/damage we paid would not cover the loss of 12 napkins! This was over and beyond the $1350 we were charged for the rental of linens and glassware for our wedding. I would highly suggest to read the small print and not sign for the liss=damage. Talk about being nickled and dimed. We expressed our displeasure to NO AVAIL. I would NEVER recommend this company again. Buyer be aware!! Very dissatisfied!
A Classic is the BEST in the business!! I cannot say enough good things about everyone from Jack Hawkins Jr., Kevin Schwab, Mary Anne Hawkins Sarfaty & Clayton Sharp!! They went above & beyond for my daughter’s wedding & made everything PERFECT!! You will be in great hands with anyone at A Classic! They are definitely a 5 star company!! Make sure you call them for party planning needs!
As a wedding venue, we love working with A Classic. Mary has been the best point of contact and super easy to work with! She is organized and so kind. She even lets our couples come in and dress up tables so that they can see exactly what their day-of tables will look like!
Timely, professional, personal service? Yes - all three covered. A low rating here, with a warning: beware the bottom line and fees, not so much hidden, but be careful not to be blind to these travel/delivery/install fees.
Every vendor we talked to leading up to our agreement with A Classic mentioned how great they are to work with - so it was an easy decision for us once we met with Kevin at A Classic to feel comfortable with his experience and relationship with other vendors. He was patient, flexible and responsive. Kevin's experience was clear as we got closer to executing the event. Even when we both forgot about one small detail (1 missing tablecloth for a last minute table added), he went out of his way to make it right and to make sure we had what we needed. Everything was perfect for our day - our rentals included a 40x80 tent, catering prep tent, tables, chairs, linens, and dance floor. Our day was perfect! Thank you, Kevin, for helping us through our BEST. DAY. EVER!
