I went to see Interstellar for the first time and it was beautiful. I'm very lucky to be part of the group who got to see this special #38 tape. The crew was very nice and helpful. The holiday decorations are also very nice. I recommend taking your family here if you have not visited yet!

I have been trying to get here for a couple of years. I finally made it. It was a great experience. The ticket clerk was friendly. I had to give her my ID to get a wheelchair. I understood because I could have easily walked out with it because of where the ticket counter is located. There are so many interesting exhibits to see. I only made it to half of the second floor before my phone died. Being short some of the larger exhibits kind of freaked me out especially if you happen upon them with no warning. I walked through the glacier but noped out at a glance of the jaguar in the cave. It was very life like and had its mouth open. I turned around to see other exhibits. Perhaps my least favorite exhibit being an African American was the KKK robe. I must say my only disappointment in this whole experience is that I must wait until next year to finish exploring since they'll be closed for the remainder of my trip. If you love history like I do this is a great place to visit.

I think this is pricy for what's there. $19 per adult plus $4.00 parking (be sure to have them validate your ticket or you will pay wayyyy more in parking). The child rate for 3-17 yo, $13.00, is about the price admission should be for an adult and maybe $8.00 for a child. Very few discounted opportunities. The first floor is mostly kid interactive items, and it's really geared towards young kids. The 2nd floor has more exciting stuff in our opinion. Be sure to check out the African American exhibit just past the admissions area. It's kinda tucked back in the corner. The exhibits don't change much or often, and so once a year is more than enough. I have been to museums and similar world wide, and indianapolis has a problem with their high price point for admissions. I'd take the admission fee money and spend it elsewhere. This is just ok.

To be honest, before this weekend it had been probably 10-15 years since I have been in the State museum. I attended the Taygate Sunday night, final night of the weekend.
The staff was SO accommodating and sweet and truly all seemed so excited to be a part of the event. They made a once in a lifetime experience so magical for me and my teenager who didn’t get the chance to experience the actual show. We actually said during karaoke that the Taygate event made us forget we weren’t going!
Whoever went into planning the flow, layout, vendor experiences, and activities for this events truly need an award. It was outstanding.
It has made me consider coming back to see the exhibits and experience that level of hospitality again. Thank you for making me weekend, ISM

This museum has a lot to offer about the state of Indiana. It starts from the prehistoric times of ancient seas, then travels through times of Ice Age early human history up until the present day. Excellent displays of so many things. It is really great for all ages. I learned a lot.
Gives a great idea of the history of the state and its people. It left a good strong impression for me.
I definitely recommend to visit this place whether your family or just by yourself.
You would need about two to three hours to tour the place in your leisure pace.
