So I was giving 2 tickes to Beef & Boards for my birthday. I took my wife to see The Million Dollar Quartet. We had an awesome time. Really enjoyed the buffet, and the show was amazing. We will definitely be going back soon. I’m just going to say if you’re looking for something to do, give it a chance.

We came here for the first time to see The Wizard of Oz. The entire experience was spectacular from start to finish. We already have tickets for another event this fall! The buffet was delicious and had so many options. Everything was fresh and served at a good temperature. I definitely recommend getting there when the doors open so you have time for a leisurely meal. The roast beef was very tasty. The standard buffet is included with your ticket, but you can order specialty alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, plus dessert, for an additional cost. They take debit cards too and you pay for any extras at the end of the meal, before the show starts. The service is fantastic and they are very quick given the crowd size. I thought it was neat you could pre-order drinks and dessert to be served during intermission. They have a fun gift shop, too. A very enjoyable evening out!

Stopped at Beef n Boards tonight 6/29 for the “wizard of oz” I haven’t been here in years and was not excited about the prospect. I am a very tall man 6ft-7in about 320 and not in very good health anymore. The last time I was here I remembered the seating being very tight and uncomfortable. So I only came under great protest ready to leave immediately. However, I am quite glad the Wife guilted me into going. Danny the ticket agent was very accommodating with my Wife when she purchased these surprise tickets. The seats were great and roomy Thanks Danny! Our waitress was a very nice lady named Billie worked here for the past 44 years. And the place was managed by a very elegant man named Nick. My experience was made great by these three individuals going above and beyond to make my trip possible. And of course my lovely Wife who drug me along when I had no desire to go. Now for the show and the food. The food is all you can eat buffet style. And the food was not bad much better than I expected. I had a nice salad, some roast beef, tilapia and vegetables. Enjoyed the food and the show was great. Good acting, well rehearsed a great time to be had by all who came. Glad I came! Recommend coming here if you haven’t been check on line for ticket sales and show times. Plays rotate so the Wizard won’t be playing long if you can still get a ticket. But any play preformed here I’m sure you will enjoy.
The Dining Grandpa

As someone who has lived in Indianapolis since I was six, this was my first visit to Beef and Boards. I must say it was really lovely. The food was mediocre, but the service was top-notch. We didn’t have the best seats, so there were aspects of the show we didn’t see, just based solely on the position of our seating. That being said, moving forward, I will ensure my seats are positioned in the center next time or not on the side where there is a blind spot.
We saw the Wizard of Oz, and the performance was excellent. The actors were all very talented and funny, and everyone had really good singing voices, so I highly recommend watching the show. We sat at a table with two other people, a lady and her grandson, it was really nice, it’s a great way to meet new people, however next time I will either get a smaller table or make sure I have enough people to fill the seats.
Only one negative thing, and that’s some random man sitting above us tried to photo bom the photo I was talking of my and my mother. ( ゚д゚) that was the only negative, but we didn’t make a BIG deal of it. I just told him to stop. He did, so that was that. (People are special and not always in a good way.)

Caught “The Wizard of Oz” here with my wife, kids and parents. Had not been here in 30 years so I did not remember my last trip nor did I know what to expect.
Parking: there is a lot but also parking on the street. Recommend street parking to get out before the rush of people leaving.
Food: buffet style. Choices of meats were tilapia, beef and chicken strips. All were excellent. Salad bar was stocked full of choices, too. Sides were mac salad, mac ‘n cheese, corn and a few mote choices. Tapioca and chocolate pudding at the buffet, with more desert choices such as cake, ice cream, sundaes and more are also available for extra cost. Buffet was all you can eat. Very pleased with that.
Seating: comfortable seats at tables. Easy to see most of the stage (our seats were far left of stage, so we missed a couple small pieces). Obviously there was a table to eat at while seated.
Performance: show was great! Actors/actresses all professional and did an excellent job!
Price: cannot comment on as this was my parents’ treat to us.
Overall a great experience. If you are into dinner and a movie, would recommend checking this out at least once!

Saw Chuu here in the Egyptian room on August 3, and while there was plenty of seats, it was cramped with no spacing in between seats which were dining room sized chairs with no arm rests. Also since the floor isn’t sloped down towards the stage which was only a few feet off the floor, it was difficult to see if seated behind a tall person. Even the security people up front had to sit in chairs to avoid blocking anyone’s view. I would most definitely not recommend this venue (Egyptian room) for a concert unless you are sitting within the first three rows. Chuu was great however and kept the energy and crowd up during her whole performance.
jiwoosominapenguinkim

Best place to see a concert. Amazing sound and every seat is good. Saw Joe Bonamassa and it was special.
David Catalano

I recently attended a concert here, not the first show I’ve been to at the Old National and not the last. The venue’s exquisite architecture adds to the overall charm. The ornate detailing and historic ambiance created a unique and beautiful atmosphere. The performance by Grateful Shred was rad as all get out, with excellent acoustics and an electrifying crowd.
While the staff seemed like it was just another night for them, they were professional and not unfriendly, which is a welcome change from some other venues. The bar experience was smooth, and the bartender was engaging, contributing to a positive overall experience. The Old National Centre offers a beautiful backdrop for live music, and despite some hearing loss from a good time, it’s a venue I’d gladly return to for future shows, especially given the great performance by Grateful Shred.

This is a very nice, old and beautiful historic building in indianapolis.
Great architecture and definitely worth coming down to photograph.

My wife and I got tickets for Jordan Klepper and Roy Wood Jr. when they were at the Egyptian Room. We found the experience a pleasant one and the shownwas pretty good.
We found our seats and decided to upgrade to a private booth. That was a good idea, as it was a packed house for the show.
We got a pretzel and some drinks, for which we paid venue prices. The drinks were decently alcoholic and the pretzel was tasty.
Overall, the venue was nice and the show was good!

Great venue, unique decor and history. Love the main room with the open stage and how the VIP is along the sides and lifted up. The auditorium stage is also very good, no seat has a bad view

The show was wonderful. The building is beautiful, lovely, and clean. concessions were quick and friendly. The one thing about old buildings is that the seats are so small, and we were shoved in like sardines. I was overflowing into the seats on both sides of me.
Shelly Palmer Wood

Beautiful location, easy to get to, parking was expensive but right across from the entrance. Inside was elegant without being pretentious. The show was amazing

Saw Nothing but theives here and it was a blast. Sounded great and love that is not an all seated venue in the Egyptian room for concerts. Would return for sure if a band i liked was playing here. Wish more trash cans were available.

Attended a graduation ceremony. Great stage space, decent sized seats, beautiful ceiling, second floor balcony, and large Egypt-themed ballroom area upstairs for a reception afterward. Very useful and beautiful space.

This is the first time I’ve been to Clowes Hall. I came to see Elf the musical. The venue was pretty good. Nothing too spectacular, but it was nice. Plenty of restrooms and concession areas. I liked the backdoor which made exiting after the show very easy.
Christof Will

There’s not a bad seat in the house. I saw the nutcracker and it was so good! The performers were amazing and the musicians were top notch. I loved everything about it!
Linda McGuire

I feel like the audio could have been a lot better they didn’t have a speaker in the back by me and I constantly couldn’t hear Jim Breuer so it kind of takes me off. The drinks were way too expensive but that’s as to be expected with just about any event nowadays. Other than that it’s a pretty nice place to go see a comedy show
Adam Barton

Outstanding auditorium to see a concert at reminded me of my high school auditorium Good lighting and sound, good exits. parking was a challenge but that’s understandable on the university campus.

Went there to see Nate Jackson. The Hall is absolutely beautiful and the seats are so comfortable and big enough for plus size people. I had no idea it was so big and spacious. Enjoyed being there.

Beautiful theater! I imagine there is not a bad seat in the house. We enjoyed the show and had very good seats in the balcony. The ticket prices were fair. The facility, staff, and atmosphere were great. The special drinks were good, and the DeBrand Fine Chocolates were delicious.

The annual Educational Excellence Gala thrown by IDOE is here every year, and it’s a fantastic venue for 600+ people! The bar area and entry is small…but that’s the only thing I could think of in terms of negatives.
Tara Cocanower

I recently attended the “25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” at the Indiana Repertory Theater, and it was a fantastic experience overall! The historical charm of the venue is something special—there’s a sense of elegance and history that adds to the whole theater experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the evening that much more enjoyable.
My only wish is that the seats were a bit more comfortable and came with cupholders. It would make the experience even better for those longer shows! Still, a great place to catch a performance if you’re in Indianapolis, and I’ll definitely be back!
David Grabstald

Beautiful theater. Enjoyed A Christmas Carol there last weekend. It’s a small theater, so i would say there’s not a bad seat in the house.
Joel

Beautiful theatre, excellent production, talented actors. We took a group of middle school students to a play. It was a very unique event for the students and a truly memorable experience for all of us.
Update: I returned with my husband to see FLYIN’ WEST for my birthday and it was awesome. The actors were excellent, the story was compelling and some of the dialogue was hysterical. There is so much history in this story and this production made it seam so real. I am glad I had an opportunity to enjoy this theatre again.

It was an Awesome experience visiting this historical building, the Walker Theatre. Madam CJ Walker is such an inspiration. This building is Amazing and inside is full of history. Can’t wait to the Grand Re-Opening!! Especially after the Renovations, you have to see this place!
Don’t forget to say Hello to Kim and Rodney! Great People!! Great hospitality!!

I am absolutely horrified with the experience my family has had with “the people who own” The Walker Theatre. They have put my family through the wringer trying to book with them by making new excuses and adding additional charges every time we get into contact with them. This is not the Walker Theatre that my parents, grandparents and great parents came to know and love. The name is still attached to the building, but the culture, love and meaning behind it is gone. It is currently owned by IUI so that there tells me it is far gone. At one point they wanted to tear this building down, and at this point they should have! Because they have that building in bondage. “I rather die than live in bondage.” Please do not book this place, they do not keep their word, they tack on things that was never discussed. Please do not be fooled by the people that work in there, because they are the faces you see, but you do not see the people behind the scenes who own this building. To my dear people, please do not sell out for a quick buck when you can continue your history, culture with those that come after you!

A theater, with private parking, dedicated to hosting local artists, troupes and even a Latin film/production group know as Latino Film Dreamers.
Concessions, (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) canned beverages and unisex bathrooms. Did I also mention the private parking lot? Big plus for me.
Tickets can be (and I highly recommend that you do so if you want to get a ticket) bought online. Very hassle free. Potentially even Demure.

We loved the theater. “The Wedding Singer” was so good. What an amazingly talented cast. The vocals were truly breathtaking and we were pulled into the story. Great casting, great tech, theater was clean and it had a cute little bar area with snacks and drinks. Summer Stock Stage is top notch, and today proved it!! Great job everyone!

Had so much fun! Went to see the Christmas special and we were crying laughing. Everyone was so nice as well!

I love art and I don’t claim to be too artsy so a chance visit to a theater show left me spellbound. Both by the actors and the space itself.
Phoenix Theater is in the heart of downtown and this being my first visit I was amazed by the contemporary building which wasn’t too huge but just the right size where we enjoyed a 2 hours long show around some really impactful issues in the world.
The space seems to be non profit driven and built going by the donations wall and it’s kept really clean and spotless. The staff is very friendly and they maneuvered effortlessly through the show.
I saw people from all parts of the world, and professions attend the show and had invigorating conversations in the end. Definitely check out the shows and plan some especially during the colder season.
