Always loved coming into this store. This trip was different, though, to no fault of the store, but another customer. Was looking in the shoe section, and a woman started to breastfeed her baby while sitting there with no cover. I’ll probably be crucified for this, but I feel that should be a somewhat private matter or at least use a cover or wrap. The employee who was assisting her as well as others nearby were very notably uncomfortable. I left without purchasing anything.

A wonderful local outdoor retailer. They have a fantastic range of hiking shoes and boots, far more than the REI in Indianapolis. Stopped in on a whim to see what they had before stopping at REI and was pleasantly surprised! Bought an MSR stove I have been wanting for a while for $10 cheaper than any of the big box stores. They have all the major brands for gear, clothing, snow and travel. Friendly knowledgeable staff!

I live in Florida, but while visiting Indianapolis, I went to the Nora Athletic Annex on the recommendation of two people who live in the area and were successful in finding athletic shoes. I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman who assisted me, because he was so courteous and kind. My expectations on finding the right shoes were low because I have a few problems with my feet, and have ordered or bought so many athletic shoes that I just end up returning. I love that I could explain my specific concerns, that a foot scan is done, and especially that I could get on a treadmill with the shoes I was leaning toward buying because the treadmill, for me, is the standard to decide. The very first pair of shoes he brought out were the ones I ended up buying, and I was surprised because they are a brand that normally doesn’t work for me. I was concerned because I was leaving for Florida the next day, but was assured that if I found out that they didn’t work out, they would supply free shipping for a return. Well, I absolutely LOVE these shoes!! I have had no issues at all and they have really made working out more enjoyable. I have not had to make any concessions like different inserts to make them work. I also love the look of them. I’m glad I didn’t have to mess with a return, but even happier that this AA employee helped me find exactly the right shoe. Kudos to him and thanks to your store for being respectful, helpful, inclusive, and making the experience worry-free!

I just had an amazing experience getting a pair of shoes that were perfectly picked out in mind for my feet! This store takes the time to measure the size of your foot and analyze things like the height of your foot and the arch of your foot. They even watch you walk and run in shoes to see if there are other things to take into account when purchasing shoes, including if you may need inserts or not. They are a wealth of knowledge about running and comfort with in the shoes that they offer! I got to work with Bre and Larry and they were both amazing! They have lots of really cool events that you can attend and you are also shopping locally here which is a huge bonus! Everything is very much worth the cost and I was able to stay within budget even buying a new pair of shoes, two pairs of socks, and a pair of inserts! I had a lot of fun even throughout the whole process, which took me about an hour, but I’m very chatty. You can probably get through itin 30 to 45 minutes, but also they will take the time to make sure you are leaving very happy!

I don’t usually write reviews, but we had exceptional service by Leanne at Athletic Annex in Nora yesterday. We went in looking for a pair of running shoes for my son who just started running and signed up for a 5K. She did a digital foot scan of my son‘s feet. I hadn’t seen that technology before. She brought out a few pairs of running shoes for him to try on. He was able to try them on & run on a treadmill in the store. She was very knowledgeable and offered a lot of great tips and advice for a new runner. She mentioned she used to be a teacher. I would definitely so back in the future & ask for Leanne…

I stumbled across 2:5 Apparel three years ago and am soooo grateful that I did. From the initial call, to the design, all the way through the ordering and shipping, the customer service was unbelievably helpful. Every step of the way, the communication was consistent and informative.
As it pertains to the products, the look and quality of the uniforms are second to none. You not only look like the best team at the tournament but the girls actually receive compliments from players on the other teams as to how “cool” the uniforms are. Looking good is great but above that the quality is amazing. My daughter is forever on the ground. As a shortstop, there isn’t a game where she ends up clean and this being the third year of use, the pants have not ripped or faded (although my wife curses me for ordering white). 55 games or so with these pants and they are still looking great.
As our organization’s order has grown from one team, to two the second year and now on to three teams, the supplemental ordering process is a breeze. Call them, and you will be as pleased as we have been.

We went to look at the boxing glove selection to get an accurate fit and was unfamiliar with Dick’s Sporting Goods stores and layouts. I’ve only been in 2 stores in my lifetime. We walked around the entire store looking and passed 7 employees within greeting distance that didn’t greet us. This was on a Tuesday mid-day and hardly any customers present. I gave a three star rating because the cashier was nice and informative and I bought what I came in search for. I have been in customer service years and years. There’s definitely issues with this store. The employees were sitting around chatting as well. Very unprofessional. What’s ironic is that I was informed about an awards program with the company at checkout but knew with my experience I’d only revisit if I was desperate and as a last resort!

Went to purchase a gun for my girlfriend’s birthday. Went to the counter to show my ID and perform a background check and they wouldn’t even run a background check because my ID did not match where I currently lived. They refused to perform a background check and I had to leave without picking up the firearm.

I literally took PTO from work AND drove an hour up here from Bloomington just to have them deny me the gun. I literally purchased an AR-15 YESTERDAY with the same ID, same literally everything. This is the only gun store I have EVER encountered a problem with.

Absolutely disgusting and horrible customer service from the gun department manager as apparently all the negative reviews on this store are from.

I have made a few online purchases that I had to pick up there and a couple in store that I have all went well. Very pleasant and knowledgeable staff in the firearms dept. Had made an online purchase and when I went to pick it up, it had went on sale prior to me picking it up. Good morning, today I went to the store to get help with the exchange of a pair of boots that I bought for my son because I bought a size 6 and they gave me a size 6 boot and a size 7 boot, different sizes in the same shoe box. I tried to explain this to the manager, but he didn’t give me an answer or help me. It’s a shame because I always buy shoes here and I’ll buy them in other stores.

Great selection of Nikes.

Staffing is horrendous. Legit was talking to a fella that works there about a specific shoe for ten seconds before he dabs up a friend and starts talking to him in front of me and then completely walks away from me.

Felt like a Dave Chapelle skit of Pop Copy. (Watch if you haven’t seen)

Talked with another staff member that was kinda sorta helpful and they told me to wait in the men’s section and they would bring them out. Waited for probably 10 minutes before I realize they weren’t coming with the shoes. That was because when I went to the register to ask, the girl that helped me calls
Out to the same guy that walked away from me after our 10 second interaction that’s the guy that needs those shoes. I’d question if it was me if I hadn’t had many years of knowing how to treat people with respect in all situations. He holds them up and then puts them down with a bunch of shoes behind the counter and I wait to be checked bypassing g even trying them on.

I was lucky enough to be checked out by the manager. She struggled to find the shoes because who knows…I told her how hard to give them business. She asked why. I gave her my response. She just gave me a blank stare nothing else. She knows.

Also, there was a poor guy there returning shoes because the ones they gave him didn’t match. More of the same.

It would be a great store if they could get it together.

Follow up. Hilarious to read all the reviews say the same JD rep responding to complaints just says they are sorry. Yet this has been going on for a while. Either we all get the same guy or it’s systematic. Either way can’t they cant Figure it out?

I purchased a pair of toddler adidas shoes with Velcro and are defective because the Velcro will not stay on anymore. I called the store to explain my situation since i purchased them recently (within the last 6 weeks) and TERRELL on the phone was very rude, cut me off and said “we can’t return them, they’re worn!” I explained i didn’t want a refund just wanted to see if i could exchange a defective shoe and he again was very rude and cut me off and said “no we don’t no exchanges on defective shoes.” Seems like the associates here lack training and common decency based on the other reviews. Relax Terrell, It’s not coming out of your pocket. I’m sure your company does have a protocols in place on defectives items you just chose to be nasty.

Will never shop here again. I purchased a pair of Nike dunks online for $65. My order was cancelled. I went into the store and the shoes were fully stocked still on the shelf with a $65 tag but I was told they weren’t allowed to sell them because they were ringing up $20. But I had already purchased them for $65 ONLINE! They refused to sell me the shoe and told me to call corporate so I did. They hung up on me! Worst customer service ever and the store was so loud I couldn’t even speak.

07/15/2025 We called to ask if they had size 13 rollerblades in stock and the gentleman on the phone said yes, so next day we drove to the store. While trying on that pair, they said they had another pair just come so we tried those on and bought those instead. Trevor and the other gentleman were great to work with, very helpful and knowledgeable with the stick in the store.

Definitely would recommend this store for your used sports equipment.

They just tried to charge me $40 per Muay Thai pad, not as a pair. When I asked what would I do with just one he insulted my intelligences and said that’s how the manufacturer sells them. When I showed him that’s not true and a brand new pair can be delivered for $60 he dropped the price.

Thanks the the desk I won’t be shopping there.

After reading the reviews this seems like q great business plan for Johnson County but all you need is a better workforce and a company like this could really thrive.

Good idea for any other investors out there. Easy competition with this one. All you need is some hospitality and people who want to work there.

But it was a TriFlex Arm sleeve, so technically it is baseball, but you guys were all out of football sleeves, so for the sake of football pictures, we bought it for the night. I asked about the price, and your store associate at the counter said that the red tag was already marked down.

This place used to be the go-to for all of our football needs, but nowadays the prices are way overpriced, especially for a second-hand store. Today when we went in, they had their 50% off red tag sale, and we were looking for a football sleeve for our son and found one and the tag said $19.99. We browsed a bit more before checking out, and when we got to the counter, we assumed that it would be only $10 since the tag clearly said $19.99, but we were informed that the price on the tag was already the final marked-down price. It was no big deal, so we still bought it, but on the way home, our son happened to peel back the red sticker, and lo and behold, the ORIGINAL sticker underneath was for the same EXACT price! Come on guys you could have at least spent the time to rip off the old sticker before trying to pull a “Target” and “Kohls” move on your customer. Absolutely shameful and definitely changes my view quite a bit of place.

My experience getting my glove relaced was disappointing. I dropped it off and received a call the next day that left me feeling judged for the glove I brought in. I don’t think I should have to justify my choice—I simply couldn’t afford a $300 glove after already spending hundreds to get my daughter everything she needed for her first softball season.

After her season ended, I joined a league and noticed several others had the same glove. I just wanted to add a personal touch to make mine stand out a bit. When I picked it up after the weekend, I was underwhelmed by the quality of the work. The more I looked at it, the more it seemed like the job reflected the same dismissive tone from that earlier phone call—like it wasn’t worth their time to do it right.

I say and watched how others were greeted as wanting this location. They were welcomed with smiles in addition to not being followed. As my daughter and I were shopping for my grandson a football helmet. My skin color was not at all welcomed at this location.
