I'm always looking for authentic leather supply shops and this one was the best! It's in an old building with plenty of character! The proprietor was very knowledgeable and didn't try to up-sell anything. He answered my questions and was very helpful. The shop had a good selection of hardware, a selection of tools and leather, and an amazing selection of shoe making supplies! He ships too!

One of my favorite staples in the city. Almost feels a little bit like a time capsule. Eric is a stand up man, very knowledgeable & makes a large amount of leather goods in the store himself in house. So whether you’re just stopping in to check it out of curiosity, for leathers goods (boot accessories, wallets, belts, etc), interested in starting a leathercraft hobby, or are a leather expert enthusiasts you’ll have a great time. He makes the best belts in the city in my opinion & will even fit you for one on the spot. He’s even punched a new hole or two for me when i’ve returned and my weight changed 10/5 stars if I could.

Super happy my friend told me about this place! I don't need big pieces so the scrap section was perfect to dig through. Great prices, friendly knowledgeable staff. He even gave me a couple sealing tips when checking out! Ill be back for more soon!

Very good selection and good price. Customer service is also great. Make sure you use the parking lot behind the store, to the left of the building, down a drive to park. If you tell the person running the parking lot that you're going into the Landwerlen store, then you can park for FREE!! This is one of my husband's favorite stores! He always tries to stop by any time he's in the area, and he always comes out with a cool find, like today, he got bright orange (maybe hunter's orange) leather lol! We actually got pictures today! Yay us!! ***I will attach some pictures of what HE MAKES, not what he buys, from this leather...mayhaps you will want one or two...(hint: they go faaasssttt, so I wouldn't put off checking them out!!*** Did I mention that he makes them by hand? Everything by hand! Sews, cuts, glues, adds snaps, EVERYthing!!

Amazing place. Got some shoe polish recommended by the staff. Sheets of cow hide , everything you might need for leather working。

The best leather store in the US. It's been in the family for over 100 years. Lot's of v old inventory, tools, and equipment as well as a wide variety of leathers from around the world. The proprietor is friendly and knowledgeable.

I was in town for work and was lucky enough to be staying right around the corner from the store. They are great here. Awesome prices, like really awesome prices. The owner was great. I’m a beginner and he was super helpful, he’s a 3rd generation leather crafter and it’s good to be able to patronize a small family owned business. I only bought leather supplies there but I saw some of his shoe repair work and it was very impressive. Bottom line, you won’t be disappointed. Guarantee it. I live 6 hours away and I literally would make a special trip there if I needed enough stuff.
