J & J Pet Grooming

First time bringing my 3 fur babies last Friday. Haven’t been to the groomer for more than 4 months. My 5 year old Pomeranian gets anxiety, no one else would see him because he would bite. I even got him on anxiety meds at one point to help with grooming and it made it worse. I tried to do the grooming my self and it’s a hard specially with his fur type. At one point I shaved him because I didn’t know what else to do. It was so frustrating. I wanted him to look clean and well groomed. The ladies at J&J were wonderful, very positive that his grooming could be done despite his behavior. I was nervous when I left him, expecting to get a call telling me to pick him up because it couldn’t be done. I was amazed of the wonderful job the young lady did. He came out happy wagging his tail, he was not anxious. I’m so happy I found this place and gave my pup another chance. The 3 look so gorgeous and clean ☺️Thank you so much! Picked-up my dog with 3 over-clipped nails, causing pain and bleeding. (dog is still limping and appears to be tender in one leg.) In addition the tip of the tail appears to have been trimmed - this despite no request to do so. Service was to be only for a brush and bath. advised that If she refused her nails to not worry about them. Recommend go elsewhere."

I am beyond upset and heartbroken after bringing my dog to this groomer. In my experience, the way my dog was handled felt careless and abusive. When I picked him up, he had multiple cuts and injuries that were never mentioned to me. No call. No warning. No explanation. They simply sent my dog home hurt and in pain. This is not normal grooming accidents—this was rough handling and a complete lack of concern for my dog’s safety and well-being. What makes it worse is that this was not the first time this has happened. When I contacted the manager, there was no remorse, no accountability, and no urgency. Instead, they tried to blame my dog by saying he was "difficult," which is unacceptable. If you’ve been in business this long, you should know how to safely handle animals—especially ones that trust you. Pets cannot speak for themselves, so it’s our responsibility to protect them. I truly believe dogs are not treated gently or with care at this location, and I would never forgive myself if another pet was hurt because I stayed silent. If you love your dog, please take them somewhere else. No pet deserves to be handled this way.

I get my bichon frise groomed here. They have been grooming her for almost 3 years. I have been slow to make a review but this last visit made me want to. They are so patient with her. She is comfortable now and it gives me peace. She gets her feet dyed since she's white it helps her not look so dirty. The price is so reasonable and their new location is convenient. I recommend. I have not tried the new boarding option, but I trust when I do it will be a great experience.

We had a fantastic experience at J&J Pet Grooming. We had scheduled appointments for our dogs at a large pet store, but upon arrival, they were denied service because they were on anxiety medication. We contacted J&J, and they kindly allowed us to bring our dogs in that very day for a grooming session. While our dogs aren’t usually the easiest to groom, we picked them back up looking and smelling absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be returning customers in the future.

🚫 DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE 🚫 This groomer clearly does not know how to properly groom dogs. My dog was cut during the grooming process and sent home without any notification or explanation. This is unacceptable and shows a lack of basic skill and care. What made the situation even worse was the horrible customer service. When I contacted management, there was no empathy, no apology, and no accountability. Instead of taking responsibility, they tried to make excuses. If you value your pet’s safety and expect professional treatment, do not trust this place. I regret ever bringing my dog here and will not be returning.

I brought my anxious golden doodle for a wash and trim destiny did a wonderful job on him. I left him overnight with there boarding service he did great and was relaxed the whole time. He’s excited every time he sees her I’ll definitely keep bringing him back.
