I've used Barkerfellars for doggy day care and now for grooming and each time it just gets easier and better. Staff always friendly and greets you coming in and going out. It's a one stop shop for your pet(s). I'm happy.

So pleased with grooming service for my 92 lb. long haired German shepherd, Groot. Hand dried through 2 coats, so soft and not stressed. . He was a show stopper before Tracy did her magic, but he is absolutely phenomenal and ready for his close up now!! Happy owner here.

I love the Barkefellers family. My pup Cooky has stayed here 3 times while we’ve been out on vacation. The last time she was there we had to extend her stay 2 extra days due to our flight being cancelled for weather related reasons. They never give me a hard time, booking is always a breeze. I can always check in on her through live webcams or call in to see how she is doing. The kindest staff I have ever met, they treat my baby like one of there own. BOOK TODAY ! You will not regret it

So I take both of my dogs to get their nails done here and the past two times I have taken them has not been a good experience. Today I took them in and they took our first dog in to get her nails done, and she can be a lot to handle when it comes to getting her nails trim but they have always been able to get them done. She was maybe back there for two minutes and the girls walks her back out to us and says "we can’t do her, she is freaking out to much". Mind you I told to girl that took her back what they usually have to do and the girl never attempted to try that. Also she was very rude when she brought her back out to us. Then she takes our 8 year old German Shepherd to get her nails done and you can see right though the glass. As the girl is working on her she is basically trying to man handle my dog. If you are to take your dogs there to get groomed or get nails done, I would avoid the girl with pink hair. And ask her Ava. Ava has always been able to get both of the girls nails done and is super sweet and great with my two.

They always do a wonderful job with grooming services, even with our pup being anxious. Love how much you can customize, and each groomer we’ve worked with has been very caring and considerate. Cut always comes out well, no skin irritation or cuts, and a happy boy comes out to us after each visit!

We love this place sooo much! Our dogs have been going here for years,. They were trained here as well. They take such good care of our fur babies.🥰❤️🥰 The staff is very professional and Super Amazing. Our 3 doggies have such a fun time here. Our Dash has stayed at Barkefellers South several times and gets groomed monthly there. We have been very pleased with the individual attention and care they have shown. Any concern or issue has been immediately addressed by the owner and we greatly appreciate the team effort of working together to keep our Dash safe and happy. Kaitlyn groomed my rough coated collie, Lizzy, today. Lizzy's coat is shiny and clean and smells great, and her nails are trimmed short and smooth! Most importantly, I could tell that Lizzy really liked Kaitlyn and was not stressed by the groom. I will definitely us Furry Land and Kaitlyn again!

I finally found a great and comfortable way to groom my fur baby! The Furry Land team that responds calls are super friendly and open to answer all my questions. The groomer, Krystal was super kind and our dog loved her. He looked great after receiving the grooming and his fur was super soft and bright. I’m super happy with the service and looking forward to schedule more appointments with them.

This service has been great for me! It’s convenient and they do a wonderful job! Every groomer I have had so far have been very professional and communicative. My dog Tucker has a lot of energy and can be scared but they do well with him and that says a lot to me. Thank you for your good service!

Top shelf and our groomer is detailed, nothing seems to be missed and always asks how we want things done and if any other services are needed. Other groomers wanted quite a bit more for a Pomeranian grooming and FL was just right.

Rose has had 3 appointments with Daniel and I swear I learn something new each time he sees her. He explained his process with her today and he gives her some much love and it calms her greatly. Due to her size we’ve been doing mobile grooming for almost 8yrs and this had been the best experience. Rose even lets him blow dry her 😊

Dropped Maggie off @ 9 AM for her apt with Justin. He wasn’t there , she said I’ll have him call you when he gets here to go over Maggie’s haircut. Never called me, I called around 3:30 to see if she was done. They said 4:45. They handed her to me at 5 PM and after a quick hand off "she did great make sure she pees before getting in the car okay have a good day" We are finally home and I can’t believe this was $110, choppiest haircut ever, random long strands of hair, her paws look terrible, this was definitely so rushed. If you can’t groom golden doodles/poodles just say so instead of doing this. And I don’t want a reply with dumb excuses. We will not be coming back.

They do such a great job with my dog Bear. He is a bit wiggly as he’s still a pup but they handle him great. I tried taking him somewhere else before and they said he was too wiggly but this place worked with him which i truly appreciate.

I’ve been taking my dog here for a few years now and have always had a positive experience. I have a fearful/anxious dog and Natalie has always been so great with her, highly recommend to others!!

They were all very friendly! It was our first grooming experience and my poor little yorkie was EXTREMELY matted! I mean it was bad. Very bad! And the groomer Sara worked on him ALL day and he looks fantastic! If your pup is matted don’t wait so long like I did! It’s more time consuming and laborious on the groomer and staff and it’s rough on your pup! And it’s way more expensive! But honestly I’d do or pay whatever to make my dog feel better! I highly recommend BroadRipple Canine Design and Sara! She could’ve easily told me no but she took him on and did a fantastic job and myself, my pup and family are very appreciative for her hard work! 10/10 recommend! I don’t have any before pics but I posted the after! I haven’t tried any other groomers in Indy and I don’t plan to! I promise you won’t be disappointed!

We love Broad Ripple K9! Mikey always does an amazing job and is so professional. Even when seasons change he knows to ask if we need to switch it up! Our pup used to hate the groomers and now gets excited to see Mikey! Doodles are not easy to groom, and he always looks so cute! Could not recommend Mikey enough.

We gave our dog for his first haircut. I can cut my dog ​​like that too! And I also do NOT know how to do it! Why would I take him to a salon for this?? We just got a dog that was almost shaved bald in the winter. Now my dog ​​sleeps by the heater because she is cold. Dogs are not cut that short in the winter! Although my husband showed you a photo of the haircut we would like to get and we said that the body does not need to be cut short! We did not get anything close to this. I also have a grooming kit and it has a 7 mm cutting attachment that cuts short without any transitions between parts of the dog's body. This is not the kind of haircut you pay money for! You need to study to be a groomer and understand what season and how much hair needs to be cut from different dog breeds so that the dog does not freeze! Plus, you need to be able to give the coat the desired shape depending on the breed of the dog. All dogs have different hair patterns. This is an obvious fact that a groomer should know. But of course it is more convenient to cut everyone's hair the same way and not worry! Right? The tail was not cut at all. The eyes were cut off, so she looks like a sick dog! The belly is completely shaved bald! In winter! Now I will have to buy a warm jumpsuit for walks. Even the beautiful eyebrows are almost cut off. I am writing this because I have something to compare with. Believe me! We received a dog simply clipped with a machine, and not a beautiful haircut. I am attaching here a photo of how we cut it ourselves and how it was before and what kind of haircut we got after the salon. You can compare! Before this it was a cute teddy bear, but it turned out to be a mangy poodle! We took the dog at 9.00 in the morning and picked it up only at 3.00 in the afternoon. And the groomer was 20 minutes late. And this is actually a working day!! So! 6 hours! What we got took 6 hours? This means that the hairdressers in the salon do not understand their qualifications and cannot determine how long it will take to cut a particular breed of dog. Or they simply do not respect other people's time.

To follow up on Emily’s review above I recommend no one use this groomer. They shaved a golden retriever to a half an inch and when you do any type of research it states you should never shave a golden retriever as it damages their coat, risks skin issues, and actually makes it harder for them to regulate temperature. You would think any reputable groomer would know this. Our golden retriever has the most beautiful long hair and research says it may never grow back the same and will take 6 months to a year to grow back. We called for a refund and they shut it down and did not apologize at all for potentially permanently damaging his coat. We are very disappointed in this place. They are trying to blame my wife for this cut but they are supposed to be the experts and should know never to shave a double coated dog like this. Charging $200 for this cut is absolutely ridiculous.

My dog was terrified of nail trims and the owners were so accommodating with her needs. Now nearly a year later she is finally no longer petrified getting her nails trimmed. She’s not a small dog either and most places would immediately want to muzzle her when all she really needed was love and patience. So thankful for these ladies! Also just wonderful customer service all around would absolutely recommend.

VERY disappointed. This was our second time going to Kara's, the first was great however this one has us thinking that we will not be going back. The first photo was my mini bernedoodle when she went into, the second photo was the photo that I showed how I wanted the cut to look like, and the third photo is the cut that we got… The reason was a "little bit of matting in her inner leg and collar area" that "couldn't be blended." So I guess because it couldn't be blended it meant shave her completely (including her nose and eyelashes). Also they had us make an appointment for 9:30, and she wasn't ready for pick up until 2:00; not sure what the purpose of making an appointment was.

We brought our baby romeo yesterday April 30th,2022 to get groomed. This place is awesome they did really great job on my dog. The staff is very loving and caring and gentle with my dog. I got him bathed nails cut and groomed all for reasonable price. I suggest that if you want top quality care take your pet there. Thank you for doing a wonderful job with romeo. They have very reasonable prices. My husband and I are very pleased and happy. We will be bringing romeo back there again

Took my 2 year mini bernedoodle into Kara’s for the first time and they did a great job! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and pick up was a breeze! We will be going back! (Attached are before and after pics)

Highly recommend! They are by far the best place I have ever taken my dog to get his nails cut. Walked in with Bo, who hates his paws to be touched, and he was done in less than five minutes. He did not seem to be upset or anxious when we left. Thank you for all you do. Bo and I appreciate you.

Jess is the BEST! I took my reactive dog to her for a couple years for nail trims and she always had the magic touch. He passed away a few years ago, and now we have a new little rescue pup (who needs more grooming than our last good boy) and Jess was the only choice in my mind for a groomer for her. Miss Sunny was clearly taken care of with lots of love and she is looking (and feeling) like a brand new dog. I took my German Shepherd, for a grooming appointment and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. She can be really energetic and a bit of a handful, but the team was so sweet, calm, and incredibly patient with her. They handled her with care and kindness the entire time, and she came out looking and smelling! amazing. You can tell they truly love what they do and care about the dogs they work with. Highly recommend we’ll definitely be coming back!

Our fur family has had the best experiences at this boutique! Absolutely love that they don’t kennel pups while they wait for appointments. Wow, Jake did an amazing job on our Bernedoodle Jimmy. The cut is perfect, exactly what we asked for – probably my favorite haircut Jimmy’s ever had. Jake texted me updates letting me know how things were going, so I felt like Jimmy was really being cared for. I also love that they don’t keep the dogs in cages when they’re not being groomed. I’m blown away that the full groom took less than 2 hours, as previous groomers have taken much longer. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a great experience!

Huge fan of this local and veteran-owned business! I moved into the building about 6 months ago. I’ve had a great experience with the training classes and grooming — keep meaning to bring my parents’ dogs down here so I can give them do-it-yourself baths!

Chelsea and The Fluffy Puppy are wonderful. As soon as you walk in the door, you can tell how much staff care about animals and helping their owners. (They even have a pet food pantry project started to help people!) They go above and beyond. Highly recommend.

My handsome man Diesel has been going here for a while now, and we’re always so happy with the results! The staff is so kind and caring, they know Diesel’s haircut by heart now. He even smiled for this photo with his little teef of approval! 💕

Our dog Basil (a Westie) is loved by the workers at The Fluffy Puppy for 1.5 years. She always looks so fresh and clean when we pick her up. The groomers at The Fluffy Puppy are very accommodating to our dog, especially when she was a puppy. Our dog had broken her leg as a pup and needed a hair cut terribly bad due to waiting for her incision to heal. The groomers were very conscientious of her sensitive leg and made sure she was comfortable. Just over the weekend my parents who have been a long time westie owner were complementing how great her haircut was!

Did an awesome job with my samoyed! They loved him and he loved them as well. He smelled absolutely delicious after his spa day and they did exactly what was asked. Looks very handsome. Even cleaned up his grinchy feet! All the ladies were very nice as well! And all for a very reasonable price. We will certainly be back and recommending to friends once their books open back up 🙂

After taking in a stray dog who was injured and frightened, we brought him in and were blown away by Chelsea's kindness, compassion, and dedication. It's clear she's passionate about her work and truly cares for each animal. We were thoroughly impressed by the outstanding care she provided to our little furry friend. First time bringing my 3 fur babies last Friday. Haven’t been to the groomer for more than 4 months. My 5 year old Pomeranian gets anxiety, no one else would see him because he would bite. I even got him on anxiety meds at one point to help with grooming and it made it worse. I tried to do the grooming my self and it’s a hard specially with his fur type. At one point I shaved him because I didn’t know what else to do. It was so frustrating. I wanted him to look clean and well groomed. The ladies at J&J were wonderful, very positive that his grooming could be done despite his behavior. I was nervous when I left him, expecting to get a call telling me to pick him up because it couldn’t be done. I was amazed of the wonderful job the young lady did. He came out happy wagging his tail, he was not anxious. I’m so happy I found this place and gave my pup another chance. The 3 look so gorgeous and clean ☺️Thank you so much! I really appreciate the service and the kindness.

Picked-up my dog with 3 over-clipped nails, causing pain and bleeding. (dog is still limping and appears to be tender in one leg.) In addition the tip of the tail appears to have been trimmed – this despite no request to do so. Service was to be only for a brush and bath. advised that If she refused her nails to not worry about them. Recommend go elsewhere."

I am beyond upset and heartbroken after bringing my dog to this groomer. In my experience, the way my dog was handled felt careless and abusive. When I picked him up, he had multiple cuts and injuries that were never mentioned to me. No call. No warning. No explanation. They simply sent my dog home hurt and in pain. This is not normal grooming accidents—this was rough handling and a complete lack of concern for my dog’s safety and well-being. What makes it worse is that this was not the first time this has happened. When I contacted the manager, there was no remorse, no accountability, and no urgency. Instead, they tried to blame my dog by saying he was "difficult," which is unacceptable. If you’ve been in business this long, you should know how to safely handle animals—especially ones that trust you. Pets cannot speak for themselves, so it’s our responsibility to protect them. I truly believe dogs are not treated gently or with care at this location, and I would never forgive myself if another pet was hurt because I stayed silent. If you love your dog, please take them somewhere else. No pet deserves to be handled this way.

I get my bichon frise groomed here. They have been grooming her for almost 3 years. I have been slow to make a review but this last visit made me want to. They are so patient with her. She is comfortable now and it gives me peace. She gets her feet dyed since she's white it helps her not look so dirty. The price is so reasonable and their new location is convenient. I recommend. I have not tried the new boarding option, but I trust when I do it will be a great experience.

We had a fantastic experience at J&J Pet Grooming. We had scheduled appointments for our dogs at a large pet store, but upon arrival, they were denied service because they were on anxiety medication. We contacted J&J, and they kindly allowed us to bring our dogs in that very day for a grooming session. While our dogs aren’t usually the easiest to groom, we picked them back up looking and smelling absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be returning customers in the future.

🚫 DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE 🚫 This groomer clearly does not know how to properly groom dogs. My dog was cut during the grooming process and sent home without any notification or explanation. This is unacceptable and shows a lack of basic skill and care. What made the situation even worse was the horrible customer service. When I contacted management, there was no empathy, no apology, and no accountability. Instead of taking responsibility, they tried to make excuses. If you value your pet’s safety and expect professional treatment, do not trust this place. I regret ever bringing my dog here and will not be returning.

I brought my anxious golden doodle for a wash and trim destiny did a wonderful job on him. I left him overnight with there boarding service he did great and was relaxed the whole time. He’s excited every time he sees her I’ll definitely keep bringing him back.

I’ve been going here for years with my dog- they are super nice and incredibly flexible on timing when I have a crazy schedule. Her prices are very reasonable, hit up the Face/Feet/Fanny deal for a bit cheaper than a full groom. And the fact that they board animals there and stay with them overnight is such a nice option- you can’t beat $40/night! They are also LGBTQIA safe and very respectful.

She is wonderful and works magic with our bunnies, who can be very unruly. Despite the economy, her prices are super affordable. She cares about your pets just as much as you do. Thank you!

Ask for Anne she is fabulous. The detail and love that she cares for your pet is superb. Over 20 years we have been to Carmel groomers and for years we went to Glamour Pets on Madison Ave. Anne is even better than the owner of Glamour Pets. We loved Glamour Pets, but they closed their doors. Thankful for All Creatures Great and Groomed. 🙏

I am super stoked I was able to find a professional cat groomer here in Indy. These ladies are fantastic! My long haired cat had a sanitary issue on her backside and they got her in quickly and took care of her. Blanchie is very thankful that her momma took her here. 😊 Can't wait to take her and my other cat to them later in the year for an entire groom!

My dog loves them! He regularly got groomed at a different groomer until he came home so afraid. I was worried to try someone else until I found this establishment. The ladies here have been so gentle, kind , caring and professional. My pup knows them + is happy to see them and their business!

Megan is AWESOME! This is the The scarfs are also second time Megan has taken care of Sascha. She goes willingly and stops barking. Sascha is a GSD and can be intimidating. Megan showed no fear and takes her lease. She even was able to put a muzzle on her with no problem when she tried to bite the hair dryer. LOL I love Megan but have felt confident with anyone there. Always love the scarfs!!

Just got Daisy back from SnipIts and she looks amazing! Her coat is super soft, trimmed perfectly, and she smells so good. You can tell they really take their time and care about the details. The staff was incredibly friendly, courteous, and understanding—even though I showed up a bit late. They didn’t make me feel rushed or judged, just kind and professional all the way through. Thanks to the team for making Daisy look and feel her best—we’ll definitely be coming back!

I’m so happy I found SnipItz. I believe I have finally found a groomer that can groom our Parson Russell Terrier correctly and to the breed standard. I couldn’t be happier with how they groomed our dog! They truly showed concern and care for our dog regarding his grooming. Well done SnipItz!

I have been a client of Snip Its going on four years. I have always had a positive outcome every time. They take such great care of my Yorky. Izzy, has always been the one that grooms my dog. She is so positive and upbeat every time I go in there. Whether it’s 7 AM or 11 AM she’s always smiling and ready to take her and groom her.. And I’m sure all the other groomers in there are extremely great with the other animals. I suggest you give them a try you won’t regret it.

We moved and needed to find a new groomer. I found this groomer online. I was not disappointed!! The people are very friendly. My dog who is normally a very anxious dog walked right in! This was huge! They took great care of my boy and he looks great!! Very pleased! I highly recommend!

Great work done by the groomer! Second visit for my little puppy and she was very anxious at drop off. But when I picked her up, she was happy and ready to go. Kayte is the best! Our Bernedoodle is a very nervous pup and Kayte is so patient and sweet with her! Maple always looks so cute when Kayte gets done with her!

Jessica is wonderful with Sally, a rescued Great Pyrenees who gets anxious when left somewhere. Sally gets bathed and shed release, nails trimmed and is ready for pick-up when promised. She looks and smells like a fluffy white cloud with bows in her ears when I arrive to take her home.

My dogs love Kate won’t go to any other she does a very good job on my dogs.

Groom for Phoebe was amazing! She looks like the fluffy, cottonball princess she is!
