I had my second child and turned 36 and things just felt off. My symptoms didn’t feel "worthy" of professional medical help, having previously chalked it up to depression or anxiety or just being a mom to two young children (but treating my symptoms as such was no longer appealing or effective). After seeing Sarah talk on social media about hormones and perimenopause, I scheduled an appointment just to rule out any kind of hormone imbalance, and lo and behold, my levels were far from optimal. Sarah was knowledgeable, kind and professional- answering all my questions and thoroughly discussing treatment options with me. In just a short period of time, I can honestly say I feel SO much better. It’s shocking…and what I’m also really thankful for is that I was able to address my issues and concerns in an environment where I felt comfortable and understood. I highly recommend Sarah and The Refinery Med Spa if you think you could benefit from hormone therapy.

I went to see Sarah in the hopes of better understanding why I feel so blah all the time, when general labs have come back okay with my GP. I was surprised when she showed me several pages of paperwork with very specific items my bloodwork tested for. She went through each item and explained everything in depth and with clarity that someone who does not work in the medical field can understand. She also then told me how it coincided with other body functions, what my numbers mean, what options I have moving forward, ect. For me it has been a game changer and told me information about my body that I couldn’t have gotten from a GP. Sarah is kind and friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and makes you feel like you’re chatting with a girlfriend instead of having any sort of medical interaction. I left feeling empowered and hopeful. Sarah is phenomenal at what she does and you can tell she is passionate about her job and making sure her clients get the best possible treatment. I am very much looking forward to continuing to work with her!

Sara is incredibly talented! She listens to your concerns and addresses them effectively and conservatively. She’s the best I’ve experienced in her field yet somehow also the most reasonably priced, maybe in part because she doesn’t over do it. I’m so happy I found her through online reviews! I’m an athlete. I’m a nurse. I train for half marathons and lift weights a lot. I was shocked by the expertise Sarah approached my work up with. She treated me like any patient, expected me to know labs she was talking about, but treated me with respect like any patient to make sure I understood the meaning of the work up we did. I learned so much about my body, my symptoms, and what I can do to help myself be better. I thought I was tired because of the amount of physical training I do each week… there are other reasons that we are working through. I am anxious and hopeful that diet changes and supplements some will help me have more energy and sleep. I am also learning that IUDs and birth control are screwing us gals and I am making changes to help my body be mine! I am so looking forward to working with Sarah for the many years coming to age gracefully and comfortably. I would recommend her 100% to anyone who would like to make positive changes as they age. I’ve received several different types of treatments with Lauren at the Refinery and each and every time it’s been nothing but an exceptional experience. The care, the precision, the communication throughout the treatment and how unbelievably gentle she is, it’s all outstanding. I simply cannot get over how incredible my results have been as well.
