Decided to celebrate our 10 year anniversary here. We had a great experience, the food was delicious. The view was phenomenal. Service was great, our server was amazing ! She went out of her way to write us a card & gifted us dessert! Thank you Rene & Jape for the great service.
I have lived in Indy for 3 years now but it took me until now to finally eat at The Eagle’s Nest. I’ve visited the Hyatt Regency a ton of times and have always wondered whether this place lived up to the hype. I finally after all this time managed to eat here. Came on a Tuesday at around 7 PM and they weren’t that busy. Just an fyi, but they DO have a dress code (business attire basically) so plan accordingly. The views up top are incredible, combined with the fact the place rotates around and gives you 360 views of the city. First off, I have to give HUGE props to our waiter Anthony. He was SO kind, attentive to our table, gave incredible menu suggestions, and made sure we were doing fine the whole time. Honestly, he was one of the best waiters I’ve seen in the industry so we tipped him very well. We started out with the Shrimp Cargot and the Thick Nueske’s Bacon as appetizers. Both were unbelievable. The shrimp was great and the bacon was unreal. I then got a bowl of the seafood chowder which was fantastic. Then as my main course, I got the Braised Short Ribs with Polenta. Overall, it was phenomenal all around. The ribs were juicy, flavorful, and the sauce was delish. The polenta was good and the carrots were good too. Overall, Eagle’s Nest was way better than I imagined! If you’re in Downtown Indy or are staying at the Hyatt, get yourself a reservation here. Was so worth it! I’ll easily be back.
We celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary. The food and drinks were amazing. Our server, Nicolas, was great. He was very attentive, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Overall it was an incredible experience. Great views, excellent service, and delicious food.
This restaurant is located in downtown Indianapolis and offers a 360-degree view of the city. It’s not exactly an observation deck, but rather a rotating restaurant that slowly turns around its axis. While sitting at your table, you get to enjoy the stunning views of Indianapolis, which constantly change as the restaurant moves. I’ve been to a similar place in Vienna, and it’s truly an impressive experience. You enter the restaurant through the hotel, and the elevator ride is beautiful – one side is glass, so as you go up, you see the entire hotel lobby below you with its open space and people sitting down, almost like you’re floating to the very top. I believe it’s located in the Hyatt, and it’s really cool. The service was very good, and our server was kind and attentive. However, when you come to such a place, with panoramic views, valet parking, and this whole upscale atmosphere, you expect something extraordinary – a "wow" factor that takes your breath away. Unfortunately, the food, while good, didn’t live up to that level. I ordered the tuna poke (or tuna tartare), and honestly, it didn’t impress me. I’ve had better versions of this dish in simpler restaurants where it was fresher and more flavorful. I didn’t even finish it. My husband and my mom both ordered the duck and said it was very good. My dad ordered fish, and my son had a steak – they were happy with their meals. We also had crème brûlée for dessert, and they brought out a birthday cake for my dad, singing happy birthday, which was a lovely touch. Overall, the view and the experience of being in such a unique rotating restaurant are unforgettable. But considering this is one of the most pretentious and upscale restaurants in Indianapolis, the food just didn’t reach the level of excellence we expected. The entire arrival experience – valet parking, beautiful glass elevator, luxurious hotel lobby, and breathtaking views – sets the bar high, but the food fell short of creating that final "wow" moment. It’s a bit sad because everything else about the place is truly special.
Took my husband for his birthday our dinner was amazing. His prime rib was great but my sea bass was delicious. Loved it
The food was the most mediocre but the views and service was great! It's a shame how flavorless the good tasted because I really enjoyed the overall vibe. The waiter was incredible, shout out to Anthony. He made my rum punch a mocktail and was nice enough to hear me out for a suggestion for my mocktail with no issue! We had the crab cakes and a brie appetizer and they were just so flavorless. The burrata salad was refreshing but also overall unseasoned. The prime rib was just okay but the size difference between mine and my partner's was wild. We both ordered a 16 Oz but his was noticeably a quarter inch thicker than mine on at least half of his prime rib. I don't know if he got more or I got less but it was so so strange. The best food item I had was the mashed potatoes (they were genuninely good) While I love the vibes of the place, I would not go again because of the food.
First and foremost, finding the elevator that leads to the restaurant was a TASK. There is no signage to help. The food was decent, the banana toffee pudding was incredible and the best part of the meal. Service was okay and our server was very nice, but incrediblyyyyyy slow. The entire meal took 4 hours start to finish.
