This gym is a bucket-list must for any enthusiastic climber!
Their huge, inverse bouldering tower with a sponge pit below is one of a kind…and SO much fun!!!
I live out of state, and I will be coming back to this gym.

As someone new to the whole climbing experience this was the best gym we have visited. My wife and I are very much beginners and have been trying different place to climb. Hoosier Heights is by far the best overall experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the video was supper informative for a beginner, and the facilities were awesome. There is plenty of diversity and we felt like there was a lot we didn’t get to try in just one visit. We will be back to explore more!!

What a great space! We were taking a trip with her to New York City for her 13th birthday and went to Indy the afternoon before our early morning g flight. Our daughter is just starting to get more interested in climbing. We wanted to give her an authentic climbing gym experience, and this location was perfect. Very friendly staff with easy orientation and lots of options to climb.

This place is absolutely awesome. I came with my three boys (ages nine, seven, and four) and everyone was extremely friendly. The girl at the front desk got us checked in and watching the intro video within five minutes of walking in. We had shoes and gear within 10. It was very efficient. The walls are amazing and are better than just about any climbing gym I’ve ever seen. There was constant Bob Marley playing at just the right volume and we had an absolutely amazing time. We will 100% be back.

Very kid friendly, for both my 4.5 year old and 8 year old. Appreciate the kid’s club and team options and all the safety training. Great after school activity for those who aren’t into team sports or need to get energy out without competition.

The location was easy to find and has ample parking. The staff were helpful, knowledgeable, professional and answered any questions that we had for our first time of rocking climbing. Staff trained us thoroughly. There was a nice variety of climbing walls for free climb without ropes, rope climb with a partner to take up your slack and auto climbs were a machine took up your slack. They accommodate birthday parties. Also, they have snacks to purchase. You can rent your climbing gear there or bring your own! I would definitely recommend it! I just wish I had more upper body strength. Ha ha!

We brought our family of six including our 15 year old, 12-year-old, 5 year old, and 3-year-old. We all had a great time! The staff was so helpful in giving us instructions, and they were so patient and kind in getting our tiniest one into her tiny harness. The only problem is the smallest shoe size is 11 youth. So our 3-year-old didn’t fit the shoes they had.
We had a great time and will definitely come back!

Dirty, dusty, dingy, trash around everywhere. No lighting. Employees ignoring us, didn’t show us how to use harnesses safely or at all. Just horrible. Won’t be back. I’ll go back to hoosier heights.
It’s nothing this place did, cause they didn’t do anything. Kids said the best part was the Foosball table.

This was my first time rock climbing, and Climb Time Indy was a fantastic place to start. They made the challenge of rock climbing seem easy and non-threatening. They give you a training lesson before you start, and they explain the different courses and challenges available. My nephew, who is 6, was able to jump right in and try almost every climb they have. And for myself, someone in half decent shape, the climbs were still a solid work out. I love it. They have a ton of different challenges available. We were there for almost three hours and could have kept going if we weren’t so tired! We will definitely be back.

Great atmosphere, great people! We liked it so much we went back a few days later. The staff is really patient and good at explaining. I only wish they had more automatic ropes but still, Greer for the family!
Some of the climbing paths are easy enough for nearly anyone.

Not only are the routes incredible, but the staff is super helpful, and the gym is massive. Everything is thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail—handwashing station next to the bouldering wall, tape and a first aid shelf nearby, phone stands for filming your climbs, and free tampons in the restroom. I absolutely love this place!

I have been going to North Mass Boulder ever since it opened. The bouldering routes are both fun and challenging. In my experience, the general atmosphere/culture is very welcoming and all the staff are friendly. I never enjoyed group fitness classes in the past, but thought I would give North Mass classes a try and now I’m hooked! The wide variety of fitness and yoga classes available is so nice. Shout out to Jordyn Dorsey! Her Strength & Conditioning classes are my favorite!

The place to boulder if you want to meet people. There is a ton of people every weekday evening and still a lot of people during the weekend as well. The membership is slightly expensive ($75/month), but if you attend the yoga and dance classes like me, it is so worth it.
Update (4/22/2024): Always a good place to attend the events. There were probably 300+ people climbing and talking.

☆ 5/5
Fun place to be with decent facilities, but some of the staff is rude and dismissive. For claiming to be a place that is welcoming to all, some team members seem openly annoyed with concerns and can treat members like inconveniences.
I sent an email outlining some concerns and the reply was littered with harmful rhetoric, bordering on Ableism and Classism. It’s the best space of its kind in the area, but the ethos seems to only be skin deep in certain cases.
You’ll have a blast if you keep to yourself, bring your own towel, and don’t bother the staff. Happy climbing!
Edited to add: Christian (glasses, long hair) is an excellent employee; so genuinely kind and engaging! Thanks, Christian!

I stoped at this gym on the way to and from a work trip. It was an amazing experience!! The climbing/setting is amazing and the people that visit this gym are even better. I would highly recommend anyone to visit this gym even if you’ve never climbed before. They even had several auto belays so you don’t have to go with a partner.

I was here because I had to go to the airport to pick someone up, and I found this gym nearby while I was waiting so I decided to come here for a few hours before the plane landed. The staff were super nice and they helped me out a lot with any questions I had. I did not take the test to do belay as I was mainly there for bouldering, but I remembered how to do the figure 8 follow through knot and a staff member belayed me on a wall when they weren’t as busy. They don’t have as many auto belays, but they had plenty to do if you don’t want to mainly rope climb. Everything was laid out nice and I spent hours having fun here and practicing. The grading system was really good and I like that they gather input from climbers on the grade. They also have a good selection of snacks there. Overall, I really want to come back to this gym in the future and I had a great time here. Nice people and gym.

My boyfriend and I went to this gym while in town for work. We were met by very friendly staff who showed us around and explained the grading systems for the walls. What really set this gym apart was their employees. A huge shout out to Susan who took an hour of her time to help belay both of us. She provided feedback and advice, while also teaching us about belaying. Not only did we get to try more walls because she helped belay us, but her sense of humor was incredible. Not only did we have an amazing experience because of her, but got some entertainment along with encouragement. Would highly recommend this gym to all climbers, beginners and advanced. Furthermore, would recommend saying hi to Susan, as she was amazing and really made our time at the gym very enjoyable.

Let’s just say – Susan, Susan, Susan – you made this experience with our granddaughters the absolute best! Everyone there was super nice. Susan got the girls excited and had them all over the place in that gym. Never pushing but encouraging enough to try something harder. Always safety first and I could tell Susan’s progression of what they were climbing matched their ability. The girls loved it! Thank you.

This is my favorite climbing gym. The staff and environment is always very relaxed and super friendly. Their grading is always on point, and they have plenty of top rope and lead routes for first time climbers to advanced. They also have a super fun boulder wall, and auto belays. This is also a great place to bring your kids if they are looking for a new hobby. Highly recommend.

The lifetime I normally go to is under remodel. And let me start off by saying the staff at both are great always kind and on it. But I’m about ready to cancel and move on. The gym is strangely organized. But I can deal with that. But why do you have a class on Friday mornings with a handful of people in the middle of the gym. Its called Alpha and the only thing Alpha about it is the extremely loud instructor. I get classes but why don’t they have over the ear heaphones for the instructor to talk to them. I’m not the only one who is irritated by it, just have a staff member walk around and ask during it like I did. I’ll also say that the class in the treadmill area isn’t like that, its not as loud and its softened by the walls. You would think the large classroom would be big enough to run a line of squat racks down it for the class. Unfortunately for us who have jobs that start at certain times we can’t change to accomodate. So leaving is likely the only option.

Best selection of machines I’ve seen compared to most Lifetime locations. This location is a little dated in some regards, but overall a great location.
There is no massive open area upstairs like most locations, but instead that area is full of equipment and machines. I like how they utilized the space to accommodate more strength training. Well maintained equipment and good experience overall.

** Update** Of the last 6 weeks the lap pool has been more closed than open. On Monday June 30th they closed the lap pool at 8:45am because it had no chlorine and they were out of shock. At this point, it’s pure neglect, fraud and incompetence.
T
he lap pool has now been closed for over 2 weeks and it’s not even posted on the app or any notifications at all. When asked when it will be repaired, the answer I got was, “As soon as possible”, but no indication of how long that will be. The lap pool is the ONLY reason I’m a member here. Since new management took over about a year ago it has been downhill overall. I’d love to hear from SOMEONE about recent shortcomings in service overall. I won’t hold my breath though. Maybe it’s time to replace the new general manager with one that actually shows up and cares about the club and members.

I used to love this place as its the perfect location to where I live. I was going back in 2016 and lost a ton of weight here, loved it as it was 24/7 as well and I was paying $60 a month but left as I wasnt close anymore.
I joined again in Oct. 2024 at $99 a month and was happy enough, it wasnt 24/7 anymore and the basketball courts were gone for pickleball courts, which was a bummer. I added my wife to my account, but eventually she couldnt go. I asked back in may/early june about removing her and they stated I would be put at $110 a month so it would be cheaper for both if she stayed, i confirmed with her and asked about it again about 3 weeks later and now the price was at $120/mo.
It got me thinking that for what I use there, im just not using enough to justify this price and my insurance will discount other Gyms in the area. Its a real shame cause this place has helped change my life with weightloss twice in my life, but these price increases and reduced availability has soured the experience.

By far the most I’ve spent on a gym membership, only went here for the amenities. They’re all good but you could drive 10 minutes towards Carmel and pay half the price for the same stuff. Still a great gym though, they have a lot of exclusive features for their gym. I give them that, overall good!

Consultations and Case Evaluation
A civil attorney begins with in-depth consultations and case evaluation to understand the facts, identify legal issues, and determine the proper jurisdiction and venue. This initial step includes outlining the potential claims and defenses, assessing the strength of evidence, and presenting a realistic case strategy. Attorneys explain possible remedies, timelines, and the various fee structures such as retainers or contingency arrangements, ensuring clients grasp the fiscal path ahead while maintaining strict confidentiality throughout the process.
Document Drafting and Review
Drafting and reviewing essential documents is a core service, encompassing contracts, leases, waivers, pleadings, and discovery requests. A civil attorney ensures clarity and precision, with attention to due diligence, risk mitigation, and enforceability. Thorough contract drafting and review protects clients from ambiguous terms, unexpected liabilities, and gaps that could complicate litigation or negotiation. Attorneys also tailor documents to reflect specific legal standards and align terms with applicable regulations.
Dispute Resolution, Mediation, and Arbitration
When possible, civil attorneys pursue alternative dispute resolution through mediation and arbitration. They coordinate settlement negotiations and help craft settlement agreements that resolve disputes efficiently while preserving client interests. A key objective is achieving a fair resolution with confidential proceedings, reducing the uncertainties of a trial. Attorneys assess whether binding arbitration or non-binding options best fit the client's goals and risk tolerance.
Personal Injury and Tort Claims
In civil matters involving injury or harm, attorneys handle personal injury and tort claims by identifying liable parties and establishing causation. They assist with damages calculations for medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering, while navigating statutes of limitations and applicable comparative fault rules. Through careful evidence gathering and expert collaboration, they strive to present a compelling case for compensation and accountability.
Real Estate and Property Disputes
Real estate matters include title examination, property boundaries, and ownership issues, as well as lease negotiations and disputes with landlords or tenants. Civil attorneys assist with property transactions, deed challenges, and zoning and land use compliance. They also handle eviction proceedings, boundary resolutions, and other actions that affect title and possession, always prioritizing risk assessment and strategic planning for favorable outcomes.
Employment Law and Workplace Rights
Employment law services cover employee rights, workplace discrimination, harassment, wage disputes, and wrongful termination claims. Attorneys advise on non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, enforceable employment contracts, and compliance with labor regulations. They represent either employees or employers in negotiations, investigations, and litigation, aiming to protect interests while encouraging lawful and fair workplace practices.
Civil Litigation, Trial Preparation, and Court Representation
When disputes proceed to litigation, civil attorneys develop comprehensive trial readiness, focusing on discovery, motion practice, and evidence management. They coordinate expert witnesses, organize exhibits, and craft persuasive arguments for both trial presentation and potential appeals. Throughout, they maintain case management strategies to control costs, meet deadlines, and pursue the most favorable resolution, whether in court or through negotiated settlements.
Regulatory Compliance, Licensing, and Administrative Matters
Attorneys help navigate regulatory frameworks through compliance programs, license and permit applications, and audits and investigations. They prepare for administrative hearings, respond to agency requests, and address enforcement actions. By interpreting evolving rules, they develop proactive strategies to mitigate risk, implement risk assessments, and pursue lawful growth within the bounds of applicable statutes and standards.
Frequently asked questions about climbing walls in Indianapolis
What is a climbing wall?
A climbing wall is an artificial structure that imitates natural rock formations, featuring a variety of holds and routes. Climbers use different techniques to move from the start to the finish, following predetermined grades or difficulty levels. In Indianapolis, many facilities install these walls to provide a controlled environment where beginners can learn and experienced climbers can train. The experience typically combines balance, strength, and problem-solving to progress along the wall while prioritizing safety and technique.
What types of climbing walls exist in Indianapolis?
Indianapolis gyms commonly offer several wall types, including bouldering walls (low height with crash pads), top-rope walls (rope anchored above for protection), and lead climbing walls (you clip protection as you ascend). Some facilities also include auto-belay stations that allow solo climbers to climb without a partner. Additional training walls focus on specific skills such as finger strength or powerful traverses. Each type serves different goals, from casual fitness to structured skill development.
How do I choose a climbing gym in Indianapolis?
To choose a good climbing gym in Indianapolis, consider factors like location, hours, and parking, as well as route variety and staff qualifications. Look for a gym that offers a clear orientation or beginner classes, reliable safety protocols, and transparent pricing. It’s helpful to read recent reviews from climbers with similar goals and to visit during open gym times to assess the atmosphere and crowd level.
What safety equipment is required?
For rope-based climbing, most gyms require a harness, belay device, and locking carabiner, along with climbing shoes and chalk. When you climb on bouldering walls, a pair of crash pads and proper fall awareness are essential. Some facilities offer guest gear rental or purchase options on site. Always follow the gym’s safety briefing and listen to staff instructions before climbing.
Do I need prior experience to climb?
No prior experience is required at many Indianapolis gyms. Most places welcome beginners and provide introductory instruction, along with belay basics for rope routes. For those new to climbing, start with starter programs or guided sessions to build confidence, learn technique, and reduce the risk of injury.
What are age requirements and supervision rules?
Age requirements vary by facility, but most Indianapolis gyms require a waiver for all climbers and some form of supervision for minors. Younger climbers may need an adult guardian on site or be enrolled in a junior program. Always check each gym’s policy on supervision, liability waivers, and belay certification for participants under a certain age.
What is the typical cost to climb at a gym in Indianapolis?
Prices differ by gym, but you can expect a day pass in the range of $15–$25, with shoe rental around $3–$6. Many facilities offer membership options, unlimited climbing, or punch passes for value. Look for any student discounts, gear rental packages, or introductory specials that suit your budget and climbing frequency.
How should I prepare for a climbing session?
Prepare by wearing comfortable athletic clothing and taking a brief warm-up to prevent injuries. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated, and arrive with a plan for technique and rest days between attempts. If you’re renting gear, allow time to fit shoes and learn basic belay safety if applicable. A calm mindset and proper gear fit contribute to a safer, more enjoyable experience.
Are there different climbing disciplines (bouldering, top-rope, lead climbing)?
Yes. Bouldering involves climbing short routes without ropes—focuses on power and technique with crash pads for protection. Top-rope climbing uses a rope that runs from above, making belay safety crucial and often ideal for beginners. Lead climbing requires clipping protection as you ascend and typically demands greater experience and training. Many Indianapolis gyms feature all three to support varied goals.
What should I know about beginner routes and progression?
Beginner routes are usually clearly color-coded and labeled with difficulty levels that help you build skills gradually. As you improve, you’ll progress through boulder problems of increasing complexity and longer rope routes that challenge endurance and technique. Focus on footwork, balance, and controlled breathing to climb more efficiently and safely over time.
