If you are a collector or even just someone looking for a hit of nostalgia The Toy Pit is an absolute must-visit. They aren’t just there to ring you up; they are genuine fans who make the visit feel welcoming and are very knowledgeable. The team went above and beyond to help me check out the figures and made the whole «hunt» amazing. The highlight was finding multiple S.H. Figurarts as they have a killer inventory. Definitely worth the trip and will be back for more.

My family traveled two hours one weekend to find this place back when it was their original location and were COMPLETELY amazed at how much cool stuff they had! It was unbelievable at the selection in such a small out of the way place. We made the trip a couple other times and the only complaint I had was we just didn’t have enough daylight to look at all of it in such a small space…Fast forward another couple years and we heard they moved to a bigger location. We made the drive and were SHOCKED at the amount of space and how we could still spend hours in the place that was all spread out and well lit and organized. Don’t get me wrong- the original was awesome but the upgrade is AMAZING! I recommend The Toy Pit to any person at all. The kid, the grown up kid, the kid at heart, the collector… I guarantee you will find something for everyone here! It is well worth the drive and my family will continue to come enjoy talking to the staff and finding treasures! I also think it’s awesome that these guys will even buy your toys and vinyl. You can sell some doubles to get some of your wish list wants and needs! Keep up the GREAT WORK! The place is AWESOME both inside and out! See you again next month!

Such an incredible store! They have treasures old & new! I specifically went to buy legitimate LaBuBus & to buy one of my sons a birthday present & my oh my!! The selection! The vintage Barbie’s! Star Wars!! The funko pop selection! We could spend days in this store! They also buy things so that’s cool too because we are quite the collectors & have some duplicates we could part with potentially in the future 🤪 I can’t wait to spend more money here!

Hey just wanted to say your store and staff are absolutely incredible we drove 2 hours from Cincinnati and it was well worth it. The men behind the counter today were super helpful and helped us complete our spaceman collection . The woman with dark hair was exceptionally polite and I appreciate the compliment. Your employees made this a very welcoming and awesome experience will drive up here agin. They deserve a raise.

People whine about the pricing as if they wouldn’t do the same if they ran an independent Lego resale store. I’m honestly impressed with their selection, and I’m happy to see they’ve grown in size over the years and moved into a larger space. From my personal experience, the store owner was very kind to me, and so were the other employees. I have traded my Lego there in the past and felt the deals were very fair. My favorite thing in past years was the bags of incomplete sets that they sold for discounted prices… I specifically liked these because often I needed certain pieces, and I found it more affordable to buy them from them. I didn’t notice that the last time I was in, but I was very tempted by some of the larger sets, as the pricing was very fair in my opinion. Would recommend!

It’s A Block Party is a magical place!! Without fail, everytime I am there I feel like a little kid again. This last week they made Christmas magic by holding a Wicked For Good bookend set for me. The biggest LEGO set I will probably ever own and they made my dreams come true!!! Whether you are a LEGO super fan or new to the party (pun intended), you MUST visit Its A Block Party. Doug and Melissa you guys ROCK!!!

Great staff, tons of LEGO both old and new. This was my first visit, my time was limited but giving a five star for the customer service I experienced. Called them in the AM to see if they had one specific LEGO piece that my son had misplaced from one of his sets. They had the part and saved it for me behind the counter. They gave me the LEGO piece for FREE even as I had cash in hand and was ready to hand it over. Definitely would recommend, I’ll be back!

Highly recommend!!! We’ve always had amazing experiences here. My kids ask to come all the time. Today my son came in to spend his birthday money he was struggling to decide on a set or some starwars people he’s been wanting. After chatting with the kind gentleman at the counter he offered him a deal and gave him his starwars guys for free if he bought the set he wanted! DAY MADE! I have a happy little 8 years boy who will not forget this kindness!

There was a line but we got in quickly. The store was very clean and well stocked. We got what we needed and looked around a little. They have a cool display in the back with misc pieces. Staff were super friendly as well.

Went in to get some keychains. They had what I was looking for and the employees were very friendly. Unfortunately the store is always clogged with people who browse so it can be a bit busy in there. Otherwise the prices are reasonable. Only complaint is that stuff is very often out of stock. I know it’s around the holidays but I’ve been previously and they’re always missing exclusive items. Which can be frustrating.

Awesome experiences awaiting you here! Cool staff working whenever we’ve come, friendly and knowledgeable. Pab wall, (pick a brick) always has cool pieces. Build a mini fig always cool pieces, (we want during WWE royal rumble weekend and they had figure torsos with wrestling belts). Just a cool place. Definitely recommend you stop by!

Do not let the rest of the mall deter you from the absolutely splendid customer service and care that you will receive from this Lego Store location. My family and I were greeted as soon as we entered the store, and asked if we needed any help. My son had some questions and thanks to Mackenzie’s patience and knowledge of the products, my son was able to find exactly what he was looking for. Thank you so much for taking the time to give each of us wonderful service and care. When it was time to check out, Molly was incredibly diligent and was able to sort out my Lego rewards issue to ensure that I got the points for the purchase. She took her time and didn’t rush the transaction which my family and I greatly appreciate. Thank you so much for creating a safe and welcoming environment. Shout out once more to Mackenzie and Molly for the incredible experience!

The employees were fun to meet and talk to, and they were super helpful. One of them gave me insider knowledge on how to get all the collectible minifigures without using a scanner app. He had somehow memorized how the pattern for how the machine stacks the little boxes. If you pick out approximately every third box, you should get every minifigure in the series with no repeats. I was so surprised, I thought I had witnessed some kind of forbidden black magic. It was awesome.

This local hobby store has some of the best selection of Plamo and hobby supplies available. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and go out of their way to make sure you have the best experience possible. Ive entered the store less than 5 times and the staff have started greeting me by name, and remember the hobbies I love and make sure to tell me of any new supplies they think I might be interested in! I’ve never experienced better customer service!

Is this store closing? I live about an hour away and drove over just to find a lot of empty shelfs. I normally spend $60 to $100 but today $0. I wanted to patronize a local business, but I ended up ordering from Amazon! SAD

Always loved Traxxas, they always keep parts stocked! So many other hobbies in one place made me pick up a slot car track and a horizon hobby airplane on top of the 50th anniversary bigfoot! Guys are great to chat with very knowledgeable on current and past RC technology. WILL be coming back 🙂

The folks here are beyond any measure of helpful and informative whether just getting your feet wet with a new hobby or seeing what’s new with an old one. An hour can go by quickly looking at all there is to see. There are puzzles and models for enthusiasts of all varieties for every skill level. Entry to Expert. My favorite find was their 3D build kits (enormous selection of builds) that started at $12-15 and come with everything that’s needed. I picked up a Blue Angel kit that was a little over $20 Projects & Models based in Land (extensive Rail collection), Sea, Air, and Space are here. Fictional and historically accurate kits alike are well represented. Among so many items to see, you’ll find some Lego sets likely not seen anywhere else. If you need an upper control arm or fresh set of bushings for your 1:16 1972 RC Bronco, they’ll have it (along with the pointers of putting them in)! In the market for an RC Pilot’s Lisence?!? Look no further! Complete resource HQ along with on-site control simulation with guidance based in years of experience. No matter your interest, intrigue is fed well here.

This store offers some of the most thoughtfully designed and detailed toys you can find. Everything feels intentional rather than mass-produced or disposable. These toys are clearly chosen with a purpose in mind not just filler items. Most of the toys have floor examples as well so you can see how they work! They also have so many fun crafts and projects for all ages. It’s really the best!

What’s an absolutely fantastic store. They have a wide selection of board games, card games as well as RPGs. They have a wall full of miniatures and a ton of other stuff you normally do not see in a store. The staff here is very nice and they have some cool decorations and the store is laid out nicely. We’ve been going to them for years for presents for our young kids as well as others. It truly feels like the games and toys for younger kids is intentionally curated to offer unique options AND they give great recommendations as well if you’re unsure about the age appropriateness of a board game or toy! Additionally, the prices are still somehow competitive with other much larger stores. Glad they’re around to offer a local option.

The top TCG store for both players and collectors. Extremely fair pricing (as close to MSRP as they can get) on hard to find products, and generous with their offers on buyback for singles. This is one of the only card shops that wont make you feel bad for being a collector rather than player too. If you stop in say hi to Zach-one of the most knowledgeable and friendly dudes Ive met. His passion for the games comes across in every interaction I’ve had with him and its his genuine personality and judgement free vibe that puts this shop as my number one to not just sell to but buy as well.

Didn’t actually pick up Anything, because I wouldn’t have room for it in my bag before I fly home, but I wish I did. Had a fantastic collection of board games that are fun and unique. Not just monopolies and risks ( tho I do believe I saw those if that’s what you’re into). Prices were good, and the man working at the time was very friendly! Also didn’t ask, but it appears to have games in the back you can play around with at some of their tables(not sure if that’s true/if it costs anything)

This sweet bookstore is gem and so is the owner, Kate! We were visiting from out of town for our daughter’s birthday, whose request was to visit Indy booksellers. We were immediately welcomed when we walked in and offered recommendations. When Kate heard we were visiting bookstores, she asked where we had been and gave recommendations for other local sellers. She also made the day extra special and tossed in a little birthday gift which made our daughter’s day! This shop is packed full of treasure and beautiful titles (there was a shelf of adult titles too) and with fantastic recommendations, you won’t be able to leave empty handed. We can’t wait to visit and bring friends the next time we are in town!

Wow. What an awesome Indy Gem! Absolutely loved this bookstore! After googling Indianapolis bookstores, my partner and I landed on this cute little book store in Broad Ripple. I was shopping for a 4 and 2 year old and their board book collection was excellent! We were specifically looking for Spanish books and although their collection was relatively small, it did not disappoint! They even gift wrapped our books for our little loved ones and recommended we come back since their books rotate. We will definitely be back!

Carmen was amazing. We came in today wanting to stuff an animal we already had. They were super busy and Carmen was patrolling the store ensuring everyone was in the right line when she found us. She directed us to the hand stuffing station then proceeded to stuff our cat. During the process she was friendly, funny, and answered all of our care questions. While we shopped for outfits she hand stitched our cat whole then brought it to us. She made our experience fun and magical. Way to go

I came here yesterday and saw something completely absurd and ludicrous – the employees wouldn’t let a pregnant woman sit in the chair and had her ON THE FLOOR. She was obviously not feeling well, and when she sat in an empty chair the employee told her that the chair was reserved for employees only. The entire time she was there, the chair remained empty, and they forced her to sit on the floor. This was the last straw for me and my family – if the establishment can’t support expecting mothers, then its not a family establishment and rather a money-machine. I’ll take our family’s business elsewhere – somewhere my children will witness true kindness. I refuse to hand over my time and money to a place that actively works against fostering hospitality and community.

Had my daughters birthday party here. Reasonable price for a bunch of kids for the selection of bears they all got to choose from. There were tons, and not just generic ones. The staff was awesome. I expected a simple shuffle through, but they took the time and had some small events to make the whole thing special. The birthday party here is way more than expected and this staff truly knocked it out of the park on a busy Labor Day weekend.

Horrified in how they treat pregnant women. I came in today and while waiting in the stuffing line I got a terrible wave of lightheadedness and tried to sit down in the empty chair that was off to the other side of the machine. I tried to sit down and the male employee quickly told me im not allowed to sit there that its for employees only. My Husband said im pregnant and not feeling well and the man still told me I had to get up. I ended up having to sit on the floor while I waited to feel better even though no one was occupying the chair.

Got a bear for my son’s 1st birthday for $1 and got a $10 voice recording add on. Great deal! Staff was super friendly and quick.

We went to Build a Bear for my son’s birthday and left with him in tears. The cost and value for what we received was fine, but the store manager, Asia, was repeatedly hostile and mocking despite us greeting her warmly. We had a coupon she wouldn’t honor, which is fine—I understand sometimes there are issues in that regard. However, she made it clear she wanted us gone ASAP and suggested we put our bear away (which already had a voice recording completed) and leave. It was a truly awful experience and apparently the manager chooses to bully children.

Went in to get a blue or pink bear to reveal the gender of our baby and they were AWESOME about it. Made the moment that much more special.

Super fun place! All kinds of neat one of a kind gifts and items for your family and friends. A bit on the pricey side but it is also for a good cause.

I love to visit this store when I go downtown, especially to buy earrings and other jewelry. The staff is always super friendly and helpful! I love the diversity of items to choose from and that the purchases go to a good cause. Today I was shopping for birthday gifts for my daughter and had the pleasure of talking to Jonny. He had great energy, was very friendly, and attentive! He went above and beyond to wrap each item I bought so beautifully. I look forward to going back soon!

Fantastic fair trade store! Most unique gifts at great prices! The kindest staff and atmosphere is what brings me back every time I visit Indianapolis from Chicago!

I love the products and the purpose, but call before you go. I designed a morning around being able to shop there between meetings, only to find out the their hours in their Google listing are inaccurate. And then two employees shrugged this off without any recognition the inconvenience this lead to, and without apology. Just rude.

A wide variety of different items from around the world. I enjoyed the staff’s knowledge of the different items – it was cool to learn while looking at these awesome things. Prices aren’t too outrageous for the type of things there are, and the fact that it’s all fair trade makes this a place I’ll likely return to for gift ideas.

This shop is my favorite in Indy!!! They have stuff from all over the world… as a traveler myself, I fell like im home!! Its very pricey thou… there are things I want to buy (jewerly specially) that I got for a couple dollars in those countries and they sell it for $30 plus.. Sometimes I grab it, then I put it back and say… I’ll go back to India/Peru/Kenya and buy it there again… But I still buy some stuff and gifts!! As I said, my favorite shop in Indy! I heard they are a non profit and everything goes into the artisans abroad… if that’s the case….even better
