I was visiting from out of town and we decided to check out this lovely spot. We chose the screened outdoor seating area and were greeted right away, which was a nice surprise! As soon as we sat down, our drink orders were taken, Meal order taken and before we knew it, our meals arrived in 10 minutes. The food was amazing, and the portions were larger than we expected, so we happily took some home for later!

Absolutely love Rick’s. The food is great and reasonably priced. The atmosphere outside is phenomenal, beautiful view of Eagle Creek Revisor. Large bars both inside and out, and phenomenal service. Our last visit was on a Saturday night and it was jam packed. Seated at the time of our reservation. Order taken immediately, food & drinks came out super fast as always. My favorite outdoor dining spot in Indy by far, we’re frequent flyers. If you haven’t been it’s a must visit.

A Longtime Favorite That Keeps Getting Better!
We’ve been coming to Rick’s Café Boatyard since it first opened, and it’s been amazing to see how much it has grown over the years. The food, service, and atmosphere have consistently improved, making each visit better than the last. The waterfront setting by Eagle Creek Reservoir is one of the most beautiful in Indianapolis, especially during sunset.

The staff is friendly, attentive, and truly seems to care about your experience. The seafood is fresh, the steaks are cooked to perfection, and their cocktails never disappoint. Whether it’s a casual lunch or a special dinner, Rick’s always delivers.

Highly recommend making a reservation if you want a table with a water view, it’s absolutely worth it.

Rick’s is more than just a restaurant to us; it’s a part of our family tradition now. Thanks to the team for continually raising the bar!

Love this place. Perfect place to go on a nice sunny day or for a date night. Great views overlooking the lake, good food and strong cocktails. It can get very busy so service can be slow. But we went there to spend the evening so were not in a hurry. The seafood and desserts are amazing

Rick’s Cafe Boatyard was excellent! The food was amazing and our server went above and beyond to make our experience outstanding! Loved the crab, spinach, artichoke and cheese dip! All the seafood is great! My husband had the crab stuffed orange roughy. He loved it and recommends it for sure. Ordered the black berry cheese cake and banana pudding for dessert! Yum! Will come back for sure!

Location, on Eagle Creek Lake, is GORGEOUS. Service is absolutely top-notch. One of the rare places I’ve found which makes clam chowder *from scratch*, and it is a wonder to behold!

Had the Cajun seafood boil. It reminded me of the crawfish boils we had in Texas. Sheer bliss.

The food was incredible. Lots of options, and it was difficult to land on one … so I guess I will be back. Goat cheese app and calamari were among the best starters I have had in the city. Great experience.

We purchased a certificate from Fox 59 and finally made it here before it expired. I was not aware of how many different options they had. I didn’t look at the menu before coming. The staff was all very pleasant and patient while I decided what to order. I ordered the fish and chicken meal. I was excited I could get the chicken grilled and the fish fried. Everything we ordered was AMAZING! Can’t wait to go back!

Caplingers Fresh Catch is a top spot for seafood lovers. They offer a wide selection of fresh fish by the pound, or you can have it cooked on-site to eat there or take home. Beyond seafood, they also have alligator, chicken, pork tenderloins, and prepared spreads like tuna salad. You’ll find plenty of fixings too—panko breadcrumbs, rice, and breading for frying—plus pies by the slice or whole.

I stopped in around 1 p.m. during an off-peak hour, but even then, they were busy (though the wait wasn’t long). I ordered the Caplinger Special Dinner, which includes two pieces of Basa, two hush puppies, and two sides. I went with fried okra and buffalo fries. I asked for my fish crispy, and it was cooked perfectly.

I’ve tried many items here, and the only one I didn’t care for was the Walleye—too pricey to be disappointed twice, though it might’ve just been an off day.

Overall, this place is a winner. Friendly staff, great service, and excellent food. Highly recommend stopping in!

The oyster po-boy was superb. Absolutely amazing so much fresh oyster, lettuce, fresh onions, a perfect remoulade to go with it on a perfect hoagie. And the crab cakes are to die for, best all around. The clam chowder is next level. I don’t know how to describe it other than it tastes better than you can possibly imagine. It’s my favorite thing I had today. It reminded me of old memories. Yours is the absolute best recipe and it’s better than my own recipe my family makes. Everything was thoroughly made and seasoned to perfection. And acute attention to detail on everything. The condiments are Monarch. Everything at this market is so fresh and it’s like stepping into a whole different state, one that is coastal with all of these options. The menu is extensive and the quality is unparalleled. The service was amazing and the staff were super friendly and nice. They also offer their own teas which are the perfect pairing with this delicious variety of seafood. This place is as fabulous of a market as it is a restaurant. I will definitely be back, thank you guys for one of the best experiences I’ve had. P.S. as you can tell the oysters are HUGE!

First time visiting. We were welcomed by a sweet young lady who explained everything got us a menu. We ordered a variety of things! Everything was delic! Tarter sauce is amazing. Batter was a little on the salty side but overall excellent experience.

My goodness….This is the first restaurant here in Central Indiana that’s worth dining at. My catfish nuggets were so juicy and tender yet crunchy and flavorful, not overcooked and hard, just perfect. I’m savoring every bite of it . Even the sides were super delicious. I highly recommend the okra and the green beans. I will definitely be back again. My meal was worth every penny plus more. Brought back good childhood memories And the customer service was excellent! All around 5 stars!

Our food was tasty, my walleye fillets didn’t smell fishy at all, they gave big portions of sides as well. A lot of fresh sea/lake products here are very interesting. The place feels clean too, definitely recommended if you feel like eating fresh seafood

First visit to Caplingers, and the gentleman behind the counter helped me out with my order.
And even put it on ice for me, because I wasn’t going to get back home for 4 hours.
And I got the breading that they have and fried it up that evening.

Very surprised how good the boil was. Best crab place I’ve been to in months. Nothing to complain about. Crab was high quality. Sausage great. Shrimp awesome. Excellent flavors with a little spice. Server was very nice and attentive.

Nya the bartender / waitress yes she is bomb made sure them drinks was OMG and the food order was right! I give props to the cook as well. Wonderful service from all. Nya definitely made the day for someone who has a lot on her mind right now. Thank you very much!

First I want to say service was incredible and the food tasted great. The reason for the 3 star is it seems the amount of food is less than what we typically get. The amount of seasoning also seems less. Even the the scissors they provided to break open the crab legs seem extra flimsy. A pair actually broke in my hands today. We frequent this restaurant. When we go to the location on the south side, everything seems to be just a bit better across the board.

Out family of four enjoyed eating at this location from welcoming to all the way out. Food was delicious for everyone. Host and our waitress were very polite and friendly. I felt it is a clean and
hygienic place. We would and will go back again.

Have not been to juicy in about a year. So just wanted to stop by and give it another shot. The staff was helpful and kind. Nevertheless I am disappointed with the snow and King crab legs. For the money you pay. You should receive either the medium or large snow. The King snow was also small. Reminded me of the Alaskan king Inwhich is the smaller version. Overall: juicy is just too pricey for the amount of food you receive.

Tried this place for lunch and will be back. Service was friendly and food was good. The fried oysters were a little small but still tasty.

Juicy Seafood is a must-visit spot for seafood lovers! We love going there every now and then, and our favorites are their shrimp, potatoes, and especially the sweet potato fries. Their signature sauce deserves a fan base of its own — it’s tangy, spicy, and absolutely lip-smacking. It’s truly a dream come true for anyone who loves seafood!

Came here for lunch had the Mr captain a salad drink and hush puppies spent around $60 crab legs were a little over cooked but other than that things were pretty good

Waitresses were awesome, very friendly and checked frequently. Captain boil was delicious, maybe a bit much for one person, but loved every bite.

I liked the seafood, however my appetizer wasn’t so good, I don’t eat pork and my chicken wings tasted like someone handled my chicken with the same gloves on that they handled the sausage with. Other than that my waiter was professional and courteous. The margaritas I had were on special, yet potent… you know sometimes when drinks are only $5 they tend to watered down. I had a great time.

Wife took me here for me and my sons bday. 1st time I have had a seafood boil and it won’t be my last. The food was well seasoned and very good. Our server was phenomenal. I believe his name was Jay. Definitely call ahead and ask for him.
Went back again tonight. This time William was our server. And once again phenomenal food and service. Ya should set the industry standard on customer service.

The fish was okay. Was recommended by the server i wanted to try something different but i was not that big of a fan of the butter sauce. The mango was flavorful maybe my favorite but i felt like it was missing something to pair with the fish better still. The broccoli was very good.

The crab cake had nice lumps of crab in there but that steak was not cooked to my liking. It was cool center and undercooked and very tough. Chewed for quite a while tbh spinach was lacking flavor too

The bread though was amazing and the waiter was very attentive and a conversationalist. Bang bang shrimp. Top tier appetizer

Attended my 4th drink pairing menu. The variety is incredible. Drinks and food never disappoint! Make a reservation. You won’t be disappointed.

Excellent customer service and great value for seafood! I ordered the Caesar salad, Cedar Plank Salmon, Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer, and both grilled shrimp and chicken-every dish was flavorful and well-prepared. They also served complimentary bread with a delicious olive oil dip. Highly recommend for a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience!

Bonefish has typically been our “go to” restaurant for a nice dinner, however, I was not impressed with the food during my last visit when my group of 8 people met there to celebrate my birthday. The Bang-Bang shrimp was great as always but the entree was not what I expected related to taste. I was also not offered a complimentary dessert as I was told I’d be given. I’m hoping this was just an off visit and my next one will be better.

We made reservations the day after Valentine’s Day and had such a lovely time. The atmosphere was refined and laid back despite it being a Saturday afternoon.

To start off, we ordered the Tempura Crunch Sashimi Tuna and I cannot recommend it enough… It was absolutely delicious. If you are a fan of sushi, this is the dish for you.

For the main course I went with the Mahi Mahi & Shrimp. Our waiter, Colin, gave me his personal recommendation sauce that paired incredibly well with the Mahi Mahi. I would definitely order this again.

Lastly for dessert, we ordered the Chocolate Strawberry Bliss. I need to figure out how to make this at home because I was blown away by the flavor profile! The champagne sauce paired with a rich velvety chocolate is a match made in heaven.

Huge thank you to our waiter, Colin, for providing us with a wonderful and pleasant dining experience. I was impressed with his knowledge of the menu and his ability to give recommendations and be accommodating.

My only word of advice is I recommend making a reservation in advance to ensure everything goes smooth for you. We would love to eat here again!

We came here for our birthday celebration. Our waiter Tye was wonderful!! He took his time explaining everything about the specials and knew the answer to various questions about dishes on the menu. He kept our drinks refilled and advised us about free dessert for our birthday. He also addressed usDefinitely an inviting atmosphere, we will be back!!

This was our third time dining at Crab 99, and once again, we left impressed! Our server, Shya, greeted us with a warm smile and immediately made us feel welcome. She was quick to get our drink and appetizer order in, and her knowledge of the menu was excellent.

We did have to wait a little longer for our food, but it was absolutely worth it—the flavors and quality never disappoint. Every visit so far has been consistent, and the service has always been friendly and attentive.

We’ll definitely be back again soon. Highly recommend Crab 99!

The best cooked Cajun seafood boil around! The price for what you get it’s pretty reasonable. I love how you can custom the entire plate to your liking. They use the best quality seafood around. Highly recommend for seafood lovers such as myself.

I enjoyed everything about this restaurant! The food, music, service and atmosphere were outstanding! And the price of the seafood was great. I will be coming back here when I travel to Indianapolis.

This was my first time, I love seafood so I was looking forward to this. The only thing I ordered was the Bang Bang shrimp per our waitress she said these were good. The whole table ordered. Them fish sticks were NOT good and I have never seen bang bang shrimp look like that. It must’ve been tempura shrimp and it still was GROSS. Breading was soft, my cocktail was fine. I saw others bowl and that didn’t look seasoned. I was too disappointed to eat an entree, I left and went elsewhere. We called the manager, they never came down to check and see how services were. Our waitress (Shiya) didn’t offer to get a manager after hearing and seeing we were unsatisfied. She had to serve 20 ppl and couldn’t keep up we waited 45 mins for water and I still never got my water. I’m a foodie so this was a chop for me. Try for yourself tho.

This is a hidden gem. The food was fantastic. Many people in my group that ordered then bags said they were better than a place we dont like to speak of (juicy seafood). I will definitely be going back for brunch. I work around the corner, so I will be trying it for lunch. The owner was very accommodating to the D9

Surprised to find this quality and selection inthe heart of the Midwest. Price was reasonable as well. Convenient parking right across the street. Staff was courteous and fairly prompt. Would definitely go back.

It was an amazing experience from the beginning to the end. Rose was our server and she made we all are taken care. I am a vegeterian and I had to ask her so many questions, she never made me feel that it’s weird or annoying to ask so many questions. What a great attitude and professionalism. I am amazed!! All of my friends at the table were so happy with her service. She also got me a birthday surprise dessert as my friends told her my birthday is in two days! She and her colleague joined my friends to sing happy birthday song . It was truly memorable, will definitely visit again soon and would want Rose to be our server. Huge respect for her!

Was walking around mass ave looking for a place to eat and stumbled upon Salt.

Honestly had no expectations just wanted a nice dinner.

The atmosphere is pretty cozy, clean, and simple.

Started off with some drinks and appetizers. Tried their skillet bread and calamari which were really good. The bread for sure is a must have. Their cocktails were pretty well made.

We had their grilled salmon and surf and turf. The food was well seasoned and tasted pretty fresh. The sweet potato mash is probably the best I’ve had so far.

What made the experience a 5 star was our sever Mikka. She was knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, and provided us a truly a 5 star service.

Overall I’d say this is a great place to take someone to celebrate or to get a great seafood meal in Indy, and if you want an elevated experience ask for Mikka.

Our waitress was very knowledgeable, fun and energetic. Food was just as outstanding. The scallops with Parmesan risotto add lobster and the bread pudding we’re delicious. I can’t remember the name of my drink but equally as tasty!

Everything was exceptionally perfect last night. The food was brilliantly prepared, the drinks were beautifully crafted and the service was nothing less than excellent. Hannah our waitress was refreshingly warm, genuine and honestly the kind of person the world needs more of. We enjoyed the pan seared scallops with the Parmesan risotto with lobster and the taco trio. We had 1/2 dozen oysters for an appetizer and it was perfect! I love that the oysters are naturally sourced and not farm raised. Those unnecessarily large oysters are not the same IMO. We enjoyed the shoreline fizz, the breezy, the dew of the sea and a lemon drop martini. All beautiful. Dessert we had the crepe brûlée and berries and cream. It was perfect! Can’t remember why we waited so long to try Salt on Mass but so happy we finally did. We are now loyal!

Chris was such a fun waiter. He made us feel at ease. He provided drink recommendations to fit the meal and made sure to answer all of our questions. Our last minute stop at Salt on Mass was such an unexpected treat. Perfect dinner before catching a show. Can’t wait to come back here.

We had an excellent experience for Devour! All of our meals were outstanding, and the desserts were all creative. I loved the salmon with arugula, watermelon, and balsamic. It was perfectly cooked. The lobsters were perfect as well. Service was the best you will find, and staff all worked together as a team to make the experience smooth, with designated staff filling waters and taking dishes. We really appreciated the treatment they gave us – worth returning to!

I greeted and treated like a queen from the moment I stepped into the restaurant. Stephanie the server took me upstairs and I got a bird’s eye view of the 1st floor. Bread and butter was offered by a young man who constantly filled my water glass. A veggie relish was also offered and I chewed my way into it. Stephanie was very knowledgeable about the menu and I promised her I’ll come back for the oyster experience. Right now, she took my cocktail order and Caesar salad. She checked up on me and made sure I was enjoying the appetizers. Then the lobster came out. It was a glorious thing to behold. I sent it back because it wasn’t un shelled. I wore a nice dress and had no intention of ruining it. It was brought out unshelled and I could enjoy the sweet red meat with lemon and butter. Next, Stephanie brought me a glass of pinot griot and chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce. A three course meal that was worth the money I’ve spent.

We had the absolute pleasure of being served by Arturo at Oceanaire in downtown Indianapolis, and he truly made our night unforgettable. It was my boyfriend’s birthday, and Arturo went above and beyond to make it special from start to finish. His knowledge of wine pairings and the menu was incredibly impressive—he didn’t just suggest great pairings, he explained why they worked and what went into each dish, which made the entire experience feel curated and elevated.

One of the highlights of our evening was the Alaskan Baked, which was both stunning and delicious—who knew it was made with whipped meringue? Arturo walked us through every detail with such enthusiasm that it added an entirely new level of appreciation to the meal. Thoughtful, professional, and genuinely passionate—Arturo is the kind of server who turns a great dinner into a memorable celebration.

It was average food, service, and atmosphere at above average pricing.

Food and drinks were ok but not great.

If you Love Seafood, this is the place to GO!!! WE went for MY Daughter’s 20th Birthday Dinner, WE had appetizers of Sushi, & a Seafood Tower w: Jumbo Shrimp, Oysters, Lobster tails, & Crab. I had a cup of some GREAT Clam Chowder, 2 Petite Lobster tails, a 6oz Filet Mignon & for dessert some devine light creamy key lime cheese cake. Hubby had the softest Prime Beef that literally melted in your mouth (?!) w Mashed Potatoes, Baby Asparagus and AMAZING Crab Cake. Their cocktails were greatly presentated and were made perfectly delightful! Atmosphere was pleasantly ✨️ dimmed, w candlelit tables & different fishes on the walls. Along w a visual oyster bar at their seated bar, where u could also eat at the bar, watch a game on their 2 large big screen tvs and have an alcoholic beverage from their GRAND collection of wines, liquors, alcohols, mixed drinks, special cocktails or beers. Service was 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ STARS and very attentive to our party of 9! Absolutely recommend!!! A must try, and you will be more than satisfied with their glorious cuisine, menu, service and atmosphere!!

Made a reservation for my birthday days in advance and it was not busy at all but they sat us right by the hostess stand (picture #2) where I was awkwardly starred at all of dinner. We ordered the 2 ib lobster and tuna. Tuna was grey, which I know can be ok (I asked Google while sitting at the table) they comped it bc my husband could not eat it. The lobster was very good (2ibs probably not.) They showed me the cooked lobster 10 minutes before they brought it out and you can see the meat on the lobster was chopped up and just weird.
Disappointed that I chose to have dinner here on my birthday and this is the review I have to leave. I’ve been here in the past and it was WAY better. I appreciate the manager comping the tuna but I would have rather had an excellent meal than taking it off the bill.

Just overall this is a hard NO never again. I see why it wasn’t busy on a Saturday night.

When we have a special occasion to celebrate, more often than not, Oceanaire is our dining destination. Located in downtown Indianapolis, this venue has plenty of seating and a fantastic menu, perfect for my wife, a pescatarian. From the hoststand, to the wait staff, to the servers, the staff makes the experience at Oceanaire even better.

We can always count on food cooked to perfection every single time. Every meal starts with complementary bread and crudité. Tonight we split the lobster bisque and the Sangria with a grey goose drink as well. We absolutely love the chopped seafood salad. It is excellent and hard to pass up. We also had the sesame crusted yellowfin tuna with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and legit wasabi. A dot will do per bite. Amazing. The hash brown was the absolute best. Can’t wait for our next celebratory occasion!

Definitely keep this place on your place to visit on your special occasion. They don’t cheap out on you like some other high class restaurants. The place is a perfect 10 – We had “Dupree” as our waiter and what a top notch gentleman and server! He made our special night out perfect. We didn’t hold back and we hit all winners off the menu- there wasn’t anything that wasn’t spectacular. Our visit here won’t be the last. Perfect Lobster, Salads, dessert and drinks.
We will definitely put this restaurant on our places to recommend to our friends, family and followers. Another top 10 restaurants in Indy – however this experience would increase that to the top 5!!! Awesome

I must be upfront and to the point – it wasn’t on par this visit – Noelia was our waitress. She is very kind and I was very impressed with her helpfulness, honesty, and ethics. Noelia is a great example of what every business wants in an employee!
Our food choices seemed just didn’t have the WOW factor as our last visit and also seemed to be smaller in size . Even the lobster wasn’t as good as last time. To have to hear that even the fresh bread basket that had been a nice complimentary item when eating here has now been removed however can be now ordered with an $8 additional charge is very disappointing. I added some photos for us to remember our visit here because it may now be a long while before we make the decision to return. We have so many top performing “high dollar” restaurants that can do better.

I recently celebrated my 30th anniversary at Ocean Prime—and I’m glad I did. The atmosphere was just right: elegant and relaxing. Service was professional, yet warm and friendly.

The menu offers something for everyone—steaks, seafood, chicken, pastas—and everything we ordered was beautifully prepared. Ocean Prime delivered a marvelous meal that helped make a special night even more memorable.

Came here for our wedding anniversary dinner and had an amazing experience! Everyone was so nice and congratulatory. The food was great and filled us up. I got a steak, while my wife got lobster tail. We even got complementary dessert (butter cake) for our anniversary which was a nice surprise as well. Our server Gerald was very friendly, regularly checked on us and made for good conversation. Desmond kept our waters full. And the bar manager Michael was very helpful for our drinks. We will definitely be back again.

Rachel was fantastic in the bar. Super attentive and personable. Her drinks were fantastic. Very knowledgeable about her menu, and even made a drink for the other person in my party based on recommendations on her behalf, that he loved. She really went above and beyond.

We enjoyed dinner on the patio, which was the perfect romantic spot! Drinks are absolutely fabulous, and our waiter, Phillip, was kind enough to even print out a recipe for one cocktail we especially liked. The food was excellent — highly recommend their dinner for two option. Fantastic food for the price.

Ashley was phenomenal!! Attentive and friendly. The filet cut like butter, the truffle fries dipped in homemade ranch is superb. The peanut butter pie is a must even to take home. Highly recommended, happy hour specials and live music on Thursdays. Prime manhattan with clear ice was refreshing.

Excellent service! The surf n turf is so good! I could eat two of them. And the bubbles and berries cocktail is simply my favorite.

Overall, it was a great experience. Plenty of parking. Was greeted soon as we walked I’m the door. Waitier offered opinions and was very helpfully l. Food was great. And definitely recommend as long as you don’t mind working a little bit for your food.

We didn’t order the boil. We ordered fried fish. I wasn’t too impressed with the fish, but HIGHLY impressed with the seafood boil seasoning that was used on the order of corn on cob. The waitress we had, he was 5 . Give him a raise because customer service is not always good at restaurants. He was great .

Wow, what a great restaurant! The food was phenomenal. The drinks were good too. The calamari was just right. We had two Mr. Captians. My wife had the garlic flavor mild,
I had the Juicy special flavor medium spicy. I will say if you aren’t into salt, the juicy special flavor might not be for you.

I really had no idea what I was getting into, but I am a crab leg SNOB and this place did not disappoint. I got the garlic butter and Cajun spices mild and the flavor was AMAZING!!!! My hands were a mess but my tastebuds were MORE than happy. The crab was perfectly cooked and my only wish was that they had the tiny little forks available to get out all the meat. My friend had the fried shrimp and she liked it, too. I will definitely be back. Only wish I had tried them sooner…… YUMMMM

I truly love this place. If you want great quality seafood this is the best. It is always seasoned and and cooked well never need to make a change. Its so laid back and I instantly feel at peace when I’m seated. I love coming and seeing the same friendly faces. Fantastic team, great chefs and amazing service. It will always be the place for date night for my partner and I.
