We love Maggiano’s…It’s our favorite restaurant. The food is good and so is the service. This evening the service from our waitress Raquel was exceptional. She kept our glasses full and her recommendation for the Pomegranate martini was excellent!!! She gets 5 stars from us!!!

We were on vacation, not dressed properly for this type of restaurant, yet we still were greeted with smiles and seated within a few minutes. Our server was attentive. Food was AMAZING. 5 of us ate 3 appetizers, 5 meals, 5 drinks. Our bill was cheaper than we imagined for the quality and quantity of food we received!

Food was amazing! And the pomegranate martini was great, I loved the flavor

I got the alla vodka pasta and I even saved some for lunch next day lol. Big portions of food. And the creme brûlée was really good too!

The place was so packed I had to make my own parking spot lol. I had the pleasure of having Hailey as a server. She had a great personality. The kitchen got my order wrong (just croutons added to my salad that I asked to be removed) I figured she didn’t hear me when I asked to have them removed so I didn’t count it against her. She came to my table to ask how everything was and looked at my plate before I could respond and said “you asked for no croutons” .. I just laughed at the fact that she pointed out a discrepancy without me having to mention when I just thought she didn’t hear me. She never forgot a single request, we had a nice chat about how much we loved the aioli the comes with the fried zucchini (I really could eat the aioli with anything so delicious), and raved about our experience. This is not the first time I’ve rated at Maggiano’s but this was my favorite experience. I will definitely be back. Remember I said the place was pack and I was still able to get a top notch experience.

A rather disappointing experience. Great ambience, service was great but for some reason it took almost 45 minutes for the appetiser to be ready and another 15 minutes for the pasta while the restaurant was not busy. Food was ok, charcuterie board was too warm.

Ty was an amazing waitress! Everyone was friendly, it was slightly noisy, BUT intimate. Service was very speedy all around, we waited at most 10 minutes for our entrees. We have been talking about it all night (this was our first of many visits to come)

Amazing atmosphere with unique and stunning surrounds! Old shoe factory reclaimed for a great restaurant. Aside from the architectural feast, the food and service are outstanding!! Ordered the Jumbo Lobster and Crab Ravioli and ordered the zero-proof Tropical Dreamsicle. Delicious!! They were accommodating to both gluten allergies (I don’t have) but also offer smaller portion menus for any anyone like seniors, kids, or bariatric patients with NO HASSLE!

Excellent restaurant! This is our 2nd time eating here and it did not disappoint. Just as good as we remembered it 4 years ago. We travel to Indianapolis time to time for trade shows and when we knew we were coming back to Indy, we knew we had to eat here one night. The Chicken Parmesan was perfection. Not many can keep the crisp while adding the sauce and cheese topping, they nailed it! My wife absolutely loved the lasagna. Great flavor and perfect portion. Hopefully we’ll have another reason to come to town again to have another meal here.

Persio Sposito

Simple pasta, cozy vibes.

The Old Spaghetti Factory delivers exactly what you expect: a no-frills, pasta-focused menu that’s comforting and consistent. It’s not trying to reinvent Italian food—just solid classics, reasonably priced, and served in generous portions.

A few years ago, I had their spaghetti and meatballs and it was exactly what I hoped for—simple, satisfying, and well-executed. More recently, I tried the garlic shrimp fettuccine, but it felt a bit plain and lacked personality. Not bad, just lacking punch if you know what I mean.

The ambiance stands out: warm lighting, old-world decor, and those famously low ceilings create an intimate, almost vintage dining experience. It can feel a bit cramped during peak hours, but that’s part of the charm. A great spot if you’re craving straightforward pasta in a setting that feels like a step back in time.

Ryan McGuire (Rytoto)

This was my favorite restaurant during a recent 1-week trip to Indy. I started with the minestrone, which was some of the best I’ve ever had. My entree was the Pot Pourri, which is spaghetti with a sampling of four amazing sauces (my favorite was their famous mizithra cheese and brown butter), and I ended the meal with a delicious scoop of spumoni. I’ve only ever seen spumoni sliced, so the scoop was interesting presentation, but it was so good that I’d have taken it any way they chose to serve it. I can’t wait to come back or visit other OSFs when I travel.

This was my first time at the Old Spaghetti Factory, and I’m so happy we chose to go here. I had never been to any of their locations so I was excited when we walked in and saw the interior. Such a neat place. The food was really good, good size portions and good prices! We had the spinach/cheese tortellini, mushroom ravioli, and lasagna. Each was part of the 3 course meal, so it came with soup/salad, the entree, bread, and a small serving of spamoni. It was very filling so of course we brought the leftovers home (hotel). I would highly recommend this place!

I loved sitting outside, great atmosphere. The food was delicious and I recommend the steamed mussels as a starter. The flavor was strong but not overwhelming, and it was perfect to dip bread into. Very tasty. The veal medallion was also very good.

If you’re lucky, you’ll get Ashley as your waitress. She did an amazing job accommodating us and I would come back just for her service. You can tell that she has a lot of experience in hospitality.

Date night with husband☺️
The place is pretty packed, even with a reservation we had to wait for 30 min to get a table but the moment you’re shown to your table the service is exceptional.
We opted for verandah seating, it was a hit with the weather being cooler than the other days.
Our server Sherry knows what she’s doing and great at recommending house specials and the various items at the menu. She even made sure about the dietary restrictions before hand.
We ordered their Sicilian Asparagus patties, rosemary chicken lasagna and Chicken involtine. Everything tasted delicious and I cannot wait to go back and try the others.
Also, you cannot miss their house made tiramisu. It was delishhhhh.

Second time here & it was as wonderful as I remembered. The prosciutto and melon appetizer was a delight to the senses – mixing sweet & salty. Our server recommended the Mediterranean salad & it was also delicious. The service was timely & professional. A great date night spot! The Mediterranean pasta was extremely delicious and the spumoni gelato was like no other! Highly recommend if you’re looking for the best Italian dishes around, but expect a wait unless you have a large party with reservations.

Visited Mama Carolla’s on a whim after hearing about it so many times. Without a reservation on a Saturday night for two, we arrived around 5:50pm and were seated within 15min on the covered patio. After looking over the menu, we mapped out our meal: Artichoke Fritters, Goat Cheese Stuffed Shrimp, Chicken Piccata, and Tiramisu. Our server, Eric, suggested we add the Mussels to start, and from there we were off to the races.

The service was excellent, the food bold, shareable, flavorful, and the space lively yet comfortable. We instantly felt at ease.

For an old world Italian spot, Mama Carolla’s truly delivers on both hospitality and food.

Stepping into Mama Carolla’s feels like stepping into a charming Italian villa. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and full of character – perfect for a date night, special celebration, or just a cozy evening out. Also, it’s right off the Monon trail which makes for a fun location.

The food absolutely lives up to the ambiance. Every dish we tried was flavorful, hearty, and clearly made with care. We ordered the shrimp cocktail, fried ravioli, beef lasagna, and uncle dinos – all delicious but you honestly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Service was consistently attentive and kind, even when the place is busy (which it often is – reservations are a good idea for 6 or more!). The staff is knowledgeable and always happy to offer recommendations or wine pairings.

It’s one of those rare places where the atmosphere, service, and food all come together to create a truly memorable experience. If you’re craving authentic Italian in Indianapolis, Mama Carolla’s is a must-visit.

truly the BEST dining experience. my husband and I were traveling from out of town and had this restaurant recommended by several people. both the food and service blew us away. Eric was our server and he was PHENOMENAL. the best service we have had in our entire lives. he gave amazing recommendations and was so attentive all evening. highly recommend the goat cheese shrimp and chicken involtine. they were our favorite dishes of the night. HUGE shoutout to Eric for being so amazing, the food was great but his service absolutely sold us on this restaurant. I will forever recommend this spot to anyone traveling to the area!

1st time ever trying this one. Had come to us by being facebook recommended by several friends.

Our experience was close to being perfect if it wasn’t for the obnoxiously loud family that was nearby with small kids. That really ruined the special dinner outing for my wife’s birthday, when you can’t talk to each other. There was NO special birthday dessert….which was sorta a bummer when so many (even st elmo’s) comp your dessert when you show your ID with week range of your birthday.

On the bright side of things the food is amazingly perfect: BREAD (the best ever) the Lasagna (perfect) Sangria was one of the best tasting ever!
I like everything about the quality and service…..just didn’t enjoy the parking situation and the noise but we will give it another try just because this place seemed to have the quality aspect nailed down.
Also I would not recommend it to my friends as a place to celebrate their birthday. Stick with the places who actually say “happy birthday”

We stopped in on a Friday night, so we expected it to be busy, but it was a little later in the evening and we were seated right away. There were a number of empty table, so we weren’t expecting to wait on our food for almost an hour. The table next to us actually left before their food came because they felt they had waited too long.

Our waiter was fine, and did seem to be doing a lot of running around in the dining room and outside, but wasn’t particularly personable. The pizza was good, as were the salads, but there was quite a bit of icky brown lettuce in the Caesar.

So, I would give this place another shot, but wasn’t terribly impressed with my first experience there.

I had a great experience at Bazbeaux Pizza in Indianapolis. Our server, Evan, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and full of helpful suggestions. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the *Tchoupitoulas* pizza (being from Louisiana, the name definitely caught my eye), but Evan recommended it, and it turned out to be absolutely delectable. The flavors were unique and really well-balanced.

I also ordered half *Colossus*, which was hearty and satisfying. While it might not be the absolute best pizza I’ve ever had, it was definitely very tasty and worth the visit.

Overall, between the great food, reasonable prices, and outstanding service from Evan, Bazbeaux is a spot I’d definitely return to next time I’m in town. They could use a couple of TVs though because the game was on too.

I was in the area for business and actually headed somewhere else for lunch when I walked past Baxbeaux and I smelled the amazing smell of pizza being baked, so I went in. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I went in, but I did read previous reviews that were very positive.

Upon going in, I saw it was a walk-up counter where you can order a slice or whole pie, drink, sides, etc. They had several pizzas made they were pulling slices from, but they weren’t re-heating them, just plating and providing. I opted for a slice of pepperoni with jalapeño and a drink. The pizza looked great, but the crust was cardboard hard and just as bland. The toppings tasted OK, but wasn’t great. The temperature of the pizza slice was cool too. Very disappointing considering how popular this place seems to be. Maybe a fresh pizza pie would be better, but based on the taste and texture of this crust, I highly doubt it.

Sorry, but I don’t get the popularity of this place.

I was in town for meetings and decided to satisfy my craving for Italian cuisine. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken and garlic cheese bread. The experience was disappointing from the start. As soon as I tried to mix in the dressing, I noticed the chicken had hard ends. At first, I thought I was given fried chicken, but upon closer inspection I realized it was simply overcooked—so dry it looked fried. It ruined the entire salad. I ended up boxing it back up and tossing it in the trash.

The garlic cheese bread was no better. It was plain, colorless, and had only the faintest hint of garlic. For $30, I walked away still hungry and in search of lunch elsewhere.

Consistently excellent food and service. The MANY pictures on the walls ate absolutely captivating! You MUST see the Pope room in person to truly appreciate it. All the food is served family style meaning a la carte and in portions that can be made even larger by asking for the bigger size. Zach, our waiter was friendly, efficient and took excellent care of us.
The prosciutto stuffed chicken is moist, tender and very flavorful. The meatballs are 2.5 inches in diameter, tender, juicy and well seasoned. The chicken marsala has a demiglas that enhances the tender chicken perfectly. The tiramasu will easily feed 6 people!

The spicy arrabbiata pizza ($27 plus tax) had good tang and spice balanced out by the caramelized onions. It was more than enough for 2 people to share. Fountain drinks with free refills are $3.99. Our server was attentive but it took awhile for tables to be cleared. It’s distracting to dine amidst unbussed tables.

Fantastic atmosphere. The food was incredible, the bread, the pizza (so much so that we got another pizza to go), and the best bruschetta I’ve ever had in my life. Our server, I believe her name was spelled Ashtyn, or Ashtin was fantastic. All the servers were great, but she really was kind and attentive. I live an hour and a half away from Indianapolis, but I’ll definitely be coming back to this little slice of Italy in Indy.

We ordered Chicken Saltimboca with Fettuccine Alfredo for lunch. It was delicious, and there was plenty of food for the two of us. I recommend the house Chianti for only $6, too.

According to my husband, “Buca di Beppo” means “hole in the wall.” He compares it to some of his favorite Italian hangouts in San Francisco, where Italian kitch never dies.

The chicken was okay, could have been more tender, and the pasta was not great. It had an aftertaste of blue cheese, which I despise, but it may have been my fault. I am not sure if it was mentioned in the menu and if I overlooked it. Our server Mahit was super nice and very good! I loved the family-style idea, but I found the food to be overpriced.
It was a great experience, nonetheless, and a great way to start our evening. I will give it another try and order something different next time.

Absolutely best restaurant experience I ever had.
I had my first date here and it was perfect.
The atmosphere was BEAUTIFUL,
The music was nice to listen to,
The food was delicious. I’d give my entire life savings to try that again.
Our waitress Ash was really nice and patient with us. Best waitress, I hope to see her again.
The menu is really pricey but all in all, definitely worth it.
Especially considering the portions are HUGE and I’d be shocked if you didn’t have leftovers after eating here.

We went before 5 on Friday without a reservation and got a table outside back. There was only one other couple to begin, but it quickly filled. The service was fast and great, drinks were really good, and food was delicious. We had shrimp scampi and chicken parmesan. The meal comes with bread and an olive oil/tomato side to dip in that was good, as well as salad. Ended with the cherry, pistachio, and chocolate ice cream dessert which was also good.

What a great restaurant! A small space with big flavor! We found out reservations were needed, but after being seated at the bar (which was just fine), the manager had a cancelation and gave us a table. Ashley was so friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about her service to us! We will definitely put it on our places to return to!

The food, the staff, the atmosphere were absolutely fantastic. We ate out in the garden, my fiance and I. Now we are getting married in a couple days but I never actually proposed to her. So to give her the feeling and surprise her with a ring she wasn’t expecting till later on down the line, I called up Iozzo’s just hours ahead of time. Even in that time they helped make this a night we would always remember. Definintely will be back!!

Iozzo’s Garden of Italy is a great restaurant near Lucas Oil in Indianapolis. The ambiance is very nice, Frank Sinatra and other crooners are playing as you enjoy your meal. The basil garlic cheese bread was fantastic! The calamari were good but the oil needed to be replaced. The pepper sauce that was served with them however was excellent. The house salad that comes with each meal has a generous amount of freshly grated cheese which is an excellent touch. For our entrees, the salmon piccata and gnocchi were the highlights we had. The chicken Parmesan was almost inedible because of the oil that was used to fry it. Overall the ambiance was great and the non-fried food was excellent. The staff were all very friendly as well.

My wife and I tried Iaria’s today and it didn’t disappoint. We had there bread, Mate’s mozzarella, minestrone soup, spaghetti and meat balls, and the Drogatto with chicken. It was all delicious. We had sangria to drink. The service was great and the ambiance was nostalgic. Highly recommend! Our final bill was $65.00.

Wish there was a 10 star rating. What a wonderful neighborhood restaurant. Large parking lot for easy parking.
Five generations of the same family have been keeping this wonderful restaurant going! Traditional Italian cuisine. Look on line for the complete menu- there are too many choices to list. Appetizers. Salads. Lasagna. Spaghetti. Pizza, etc. There is a full bar. Cozy area to eat in the bar or a large dining room. Reservations are recommended but you can walk in if you get there as soon as they open/ early. It fills up quickly because it’s so popular and delicious. Save room for desserts like spumoni and cannoli. Excellent service. Waitress was very attentive. Food served quickly and hot.

The food was really good. What ruined it for us was our server Don. He acted like he would rather be anywhere else but there. His attitude and tone of voice was bored. We asked him what he would recommend and his answer was “I dunno, whatever you like”. He checked on us only one time when he brought our appetizer and I had to ask a busboy for a refill on my soda and water. He walked by our table at least 10 times before I had to ask another busboy to take our appetizer dishes so we had room for our main entrees. Someone else brought us our food. The restaurant was not very busy or else I could understand his lack of service. Very disappointing. If we come back we definitely do not want him as our server. The food, however, will bring us back. Had excellent flavor and the portions are enough to take home.

So we had the Mozzarella bites to start and they are amazing. Definitely ask for the olive oil with herbs for your bread, it makes the bread so much better! The blue cheese dressing is SUPER thick, like almost just blue cheese. Yummy. I had the Totellini in Creamy tomato sauce and the tortellini were delicious, huge! My boyfriend got the Chicken Dorgato and this dish was really not that great. The sauce was salty and way too peppery. We don’t recommend this dish, but everything else was SO good it made up for it.

My husband and I had a lovely dinner here yesterday. Meg, the staff and the manager are very helpful and hospitable throughout our visit chatting with us about the food and making sure that the dinner was going well. Everything was cooked with care and tasted amazing. You can also tell how delicious it was when my husband who famously does not like fish said that for the first time in his life he enjoyed trying my salmon. It was not enough to have him swap it with his steak which he said was one of the best he had ever tasted as well. With artful decor and warm atmosphere this is the perfect place for a date night. Definitely check the menu before you go to see what dishes you would like to try but everything we had was absolutely scrumptious!

The food was absolutely amazing as was the service and decor. Loved the lasagna. If you are a mushroom fiend like me it’s a must try. The acrobatic men wallpaper in the men’s bathroom is fantastic. Loved that they offer tooth piks and mouthwash in the bathroom. Our waitress was the sweetest gal and even gave us a free dessert for our anniversary. We sat upstairs and it was so peaceful and relaxing. This is my new favorite place when visiting Indy .

Beautiful location with lots of vintage aesthetics. In the historic Coca-Cola district on Mass Ave., there are lots of foot traffic, bicycles, and pedestrians. However, it was quiet inside with jazzy music playing. They had a full, beautiful, vintage bar with exotic wine and cocktail menu. The service was exquisite, and the hostess was on point. The staff overall was well-trained and knowledgeable, which is a rarity in the most high-end establishments. We indulged in the Devour menu for a birthday celebration, and we were seated next to the window to people watch. It was a pleasant experience. The $60, three course menu I chose was the Lobster Bisque, Braised Pork, and Chocolate Brownie for dessert. It was edible as well as bountiful for the price. I left with two containers of food. The only nick in the experience was that the Bisque was overly salted.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Great Local Spot with Thoughtful Service

Vito Provolone’s has a unique vibe—somewhere between relaxed and refined. The staff had great energy, very attentive and friendly throughout the night.

We started with the cheese bread, and it was excellent—crispy, cheesy, and flavorful. She ordered the Chicken Alfredo and loved it. I had the Filet Marsala, and I was impressed they nailed the medium cook just right. The filet itself was good (a little charred in spots), and while I liked the wine sauce, the pairing with spaghetti didn’t quite hit for me. Dipping garlic bread into the sauce actually made it more enjoyable.

We finished with tiramisu, which was okay but a bit watery for my taste. I also grabbed a cannoli to go, and that ended the night on a high note—really tasty.

Overall, it’s a solid local restaurant with great service and energy. I’d definitely come back—probably to explore the seafood next time.

If I could give this place an overall 4.5, I would. It is Italian comfort food, but it’s not going to knock your socks off. You can tell that everything is made in house with a lot of love and care into each dish. The flavors are rich and very satisfying. The staff was warm and welcoming. This place could elevate their experience and really become remarkable. But, for now, it is a taste of traditional Italian home cooking. Would recommend a visit!

Rustic and traditional trattoria. The Capri is a very high-end family-run eatery that emphasizes a rustic, home-cooked feel. The food is simply fabulous. I had the Lasagna Bolognese with veal. My sister feasted on the Salmon Piccata.

The highlight of the evening was the wait staff. Professional and efficient. They anticipate your every need. Tucked away off of 72nd and Keystone. Run don’t walk to this hidden gem.

Capri is excellent in all aspects! The kitchen staff all seem to truly care about the food they are sending out, as everything is full of flavor and cooked perfectly. All other staff that I’ve had interaction with has been extremely friendly and eager to make the experience top notch. Servers all have the ability to connect with diners and be completely genuine about it. Many times at other restaurants, service staff seem to switch into “acting mode”which tends to come across as fake and disingenuous. The restaurant is kept clean and has a very inviting and comfortable feeling to it. I’m already looking forward to visiting again!

Not sure how we missed this restaurant. Perhaps we became a bit too familiar with our favorite Italian spot to keep looking.

Truly sorry it took us this long as love this restaurant. Our server Shannon was helpful with her suggestions as first time diners, and was she extremely attentive throughout our meal.

The calamari fritta was presented perfectly for our appetizer. The lettuce wedge tasteful but the Zuppa Tommasi a must try.

The main course ordered consisted of the chicken parmigiana for myself as well as chef special seafood stew for my better half.

We immediately knew we will be back.

Looking forward to exploring the rest of the enticing menu Capri has created.

This was my first time at Capri, and it was an outstanding experience. It happened to be my birthday, and this will be a birthday dinner to remember. Our waiter, Jason, was phenomenal. It was a pleasure to interact with him, all of his recommendations were spot on, especially the red wine. I’ll definitely ask to be seated in his section the next time I go back. The food was amazing. I chose the special, which was lamb chops crusted in coffee and spices. It was excellent. The mozzarella sticks and soup were delicious, the bread was clearly freshly baked. and the butter was a soft as could be. I sampled several of the house wines, all at Jason‘s recommendation, all were fantastic. This was most definitely a five star meal and I cannot wait to go back. I look forward to taking friends to experience this… and when you walk in, and Tony Bennett is playing, you know you’ve picked the right place. I’m happy to highly recommend Capri and look forward to many more meals there. Thank you Jason!

Hands down the best Italian food in Indy. No questions asked. Full stop. The spaghetti Bolognese and Caesar Salad (Add anchovies…always!) are both divine. It’s so easy to tell it’s homemade pasta and doesn’t come from a box. I’ve been to Capri twice and have experienced fantastic service both times which matched the price of the restaurant. I celebrated my birthday here back in January and they even gave me a free dessert. I will recommend Capri to anyone in the Indy area looking for a great Italian meal.
