This evening was nostalgic, to say the least. When we first moved to Indy, this was one of our favorite places to eat as a family. Although it has been years, it was on the top of my daughter's birthday dinner list ! And once again you all do not disappoint. Decor is beautiful, calming & inviting. There's a nice variety of food. I say no matter your taste palette there's something for everyone ! Something could be a bit warmer, and possibly a monitor should be added in order to maintain your freshest &Warmest platers at all times. Customer service is my bread and butter! It always saddens me when I have a slightly poor experience. I can understand a long day And frustration, the anxiety of the busy line ahead. Just remember to breathe and smile. I won't go too much into detail but I can say my greeting could have been more pleasant. Got another birthday this Libra season. So journeys we shall, Meet again. Clean tables, And SilverWare. Minimal Wait Time 🦋@itsyourDestinytv
I was looking for a restaurant for a Valentine’s Day date with my wife, and the thirty places I checked with to make reservations the day before were all booked. Fortunately for us, The Journey doesn’t take reservations. We arrived at 4:45. They begin seating for dinner at 5:00 and we were one of the first couples seated. It was good that we were there early because they quickly got busy. Our server, Emma, was friendly and checked on us often. Having her as our server definitely made our visit more enjoyable. The buffet had a good variety of seafood options with several choices available, and everything I tasted was pretty good (though nothing was great). The decor was a quirky combination of modern and retro, with some of the fixtures being very worn. The restaurant was cleanish; it probably could have been a little cleaner, but it wasn’t too bad. Would I visit The Journey again? Probably not, but it was a good experience overall.
Absolutely terrible experience. "The Journey" is nothing more than an overpriced buffet pretending to be something special. The food quality does not come anywhere close to justifying the price. Mediocre at best. What really crossed the line was the service. An Asian lady worker literally ripped the bill out from underneath my hand, opened it up, and demanded a tip. Not asked. Demanded. I was shocked. That is beyond rude, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. It’s a BUFFET! I’ve never experienced something so aggressive and entitled at a restaurant. Tipping is earned, not forced, and behavior like that guarantees I’ll never return. Save your money and your patience. There are far better places to eat where you won’t be disrespected and shaken down for tips. Completely ridiculous.
I joined a group of friends at Journey. We were able to get a separate room which was nice. The food was fine. The most important part was the staff! Simply outstanding. They graciously took care of our every need from adding chairs when our numbers grew to managing separate bills for us. Got a warm thank you from the hostess as we left. Highly recommend. Such a variety of food choices on the buffet, something for every palate.
Nothing against the restaurant, it was our first time visiting. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and we couldn't believe how crowded and busy it was. The staff was doing a very good job but if I stopped just long enough to the food ID labels I was holding up 5 or 6 people. I may give it another try but it will be on a less busy day.
I had a great time The food was delicious we went on Friday and they had all you can eat crab legs! The service was outstanding.. sushi and fruit was on point,do check them out!
OMG!!! This place has to be the best all you can eat seafood buffet. The amount of food you can choose from is endless. They will even cook you raman soup! They got sushi, chicken, shrimp, crabs, beef, stake, fruits, salad, soup and desserts. The food was awesome. The service was great, didn't have any problem with the server, she was always there when you need something. The atmosphere is great even when there's a lot of people in the restaurant, the place was never to loud. Honestly, this is the best all you can eat buffet I have ever been to. It is worth the 1 hour drive for me and will be going back definitely.
