Absolutely incredible experience and care. After our St. Bernard Chester was neutered locally earlier in the day, he went into shock later that evening and collapsed. We had to rush him over an hour away to this emergency vet, terrified we were going to lose him. From the moment we walked in, the team was outstanding. They took Chester immediately, got us into a room right away, and began stabilizing him without delay. The doctor and assistants were calm, thorough, and incredibly compassionate. Everything was explained in detail, all of our questions were answered, and we never once felt rushed or dismissed. They ran bloodwork to rule out internal bleeding, closely monitored his blood pressure and heart, started IV fluids, managed his pain, and kept him under observation until he was stable. Even small things — like offering us coffee — meant so much during such a stressful night. Thanks to their fast response and excellent care, Chester is still with us. We will be forever grateful to this doctor and their amazing team. I cannot recommend this emergency vet enough and will absolutely return for anything our animals ever need. Thank you for saving our dog.
We would like to say how very appreciative we are of the care and attention that was given to our sweet boy Henley during a recent visit to the Airport Animal Emergi-Center. From the receptionist to the surgeon we were treated with such kindness and empathy during a very stressful and scary situation. We would like to especially thank the surgeon, Dr. Saviori for performing a very critical surgery that literally saved our dog’s life. Henley continues to heal day by day. Thank you again to everyone! Kind regards, Kate, Craig & Henley Gilbert
More affordable than other places. And gave me an extra month with dog when she was towards the end of her life, they tried what they could the 2nd time but in the end it was just my babies time and they didn’t rush me. They gave me as long as I needed with her, they also gave me a trimmer to keep a lock of her hair. And 20minites after I left I remembered I never gave to dna sample I wanted to know exactly what mix of mutt my girl was and they went back to her and swabbed her mouth for me the best they could and I was able to get that dna test. I also got her ashes and paw print back within the week. They were so gentle and kind during one of the hardest times of my life. I am writing this a yr later. Bc I was too emotional then.
We woke up to the heartbreaking discovery that our beautiful girl, Blanche, had unexpectedly passed away over night. I called AAEC for cremation service and Sabrina was extremely nice, empathetic, and explained their services. When it was time to pick up her remains, there was a mix up on her last name but they discovered the mistake immediately and asked me to come back the next day so they could fix the issue with the place that cremated her. I have never taken my pets here for an emergency. This review is solely based on this experience. One thing I have an issue with is when they took her vet information, they said they would contact them to stop notification reminders for Blanchie, however, I received this email from the a couple days later (see photo). They just need to update their email settings.
The quality of care and patience and compassion that every single member of their staff treated me and my cat with exceeded all expectation. The veterinarians themselves were fully present and careful and thorough. I felt completely comfortable trusting their judgement and relieved to have their support. The other staff and vet assistants were equally first-rate – both in the multiple middle-of-the-night pre-visit phone calls and in person. They never once showed even the slightest amount of irritation or impatience at my questions and occasional indecision, despite the fast-paced/high-pressure nature of their work environment. There is a level of genuine kindness and expertise at this clinic that is rare and wonderful. They made a really scary situation as good as it could possibly be. I think if James Herriot himself lived in Indianapolis, he would likely work at the Airport Animal Emergi-Center.
We recently had to take our family dog of 10 1/2 years here to put him to rest. My husband and I have had him our entire marriage and it was so difficult for us. The vet tech that put him to sleep was amazing, she was so gentle and sweet to him. Told him how cute he was. The entire staff was very accommodating and we received a card in the mail about 2 weeks later with the staff’s signatures inside and warm words from a lot of them. I just want to thank you all for helping us through this and making it as peaceful for him as it possibly could have been, he was an amazing pup.
Our beagle/terrier mix Callie was seizing very bad for an extended period of time. Since we live in a rural area, we had to rush to find an emergency vet to see her. We drove almost two hours to Airport Emergi Vet. When I called beforehand, they told me to let them know when we were close so they could be ready. We carried her in straight onto a gurney and away they went. Given the stress and worry we were feeling for our furbaby along with lack of sleep, we were not the best comprehending what was currently happening. The staff were very compassionate and understanding. They took the time to explain everything in detail and went above and beyond for us. I won't lie, it is pricey. With that said, the care and attention Callie received was well worth the cost. Thank you to all of the staff that cared for Callie that night. Words can't express how grateful we are.
