I have been in multiple times just to look around and today I decided to finally buy something. They always have a beautiful assortment of plants for nice prices so I picked up a marble queen pothos, as well as a betta (he is BEAUTIFUL) He is so active and you can tell he was loved and cared for. (they even name their bettas which I think is adorable) I always have a great experience when I come in!

The staff at The Reef are outstanding, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They were even happy to help with questions/suggestions over the phone and responded to inquiries on social media. The store has a massive selection of freshwater and saltwater fish and the accessories, food, treatments etc that you will need. All of the tanks are very clean and the animals seem very healthy. Ownership cares about customer service and provided support within 24 hours. Looking forward to doing continued business with a long-standing local company.

Easily the best, most knowledgeable, and cleanest aquarium store in Indianapolis. The selection is unmatched. Literally. In both aquatic plants and fish alike. If there’s a fish you can’t find anywhere else, or a plant odds are they sell it here for a very reasonable price. The employees are very happy to see repeat customers here too which is very nice! I’ve never had a bad interaction with any of the employees. I live 30+ minutes away and consistently come back here. They are easily the best fish store in Indianapolis.

I truly wouldn’t recommend coming to this establishment just based off of how the employees treat their customers. You could be very knowledgeable on what you want, have your set up acclimated and good to go. YET, they still talk to you as if you are a toddler. This store is about an hour from home, and I wanted to check it out while we were in town. Great selection and staff asked us many times if we needed help. Picked up some water lettuce. Looking forward to coming back for some fishy friends and shrimp after I get my tank fully cycled. Store was clean and had a great selection of fish and plants.

Calista grooms our Dalmatian puppy and we will not be going anywhere else! Our dog always comes home smelling so good and is so soft! They do such an amazing job here. Prices are amazing as well! Not very happy. First time using them to get my Shih Tzu groomed. Wanted face rounded didn’t happen, and tail not cut, didn’t happen! Cut her tail short and face not rounded. Paid $70 and Alley didn’t mention she cut her paw/toenail. Phoebe was bleeding! I chose Pet Supplies because they were closer than our other groomer and very disappointed. Also, blow drying was included in the price and she said she didn’t blow dry her just let her sit in the crate. Phoebe is home licking her paw she is in pain. Might need to take her to the vet to get checked out! Upset with this whole experience!

Had our dog groomed here by a girl named Maxx and it was a terrible experience. Pretty sure I paid $60 for absolutely nothing, our pup didn’t look any different than when we dropped him off nor did he smell any better. Additionally, I asked her to outline his legs and tail and trim around the ears, even paid extra and clearly it was not done. It was late in the evening and I had one of my young daughters with me so we weren’t up for staying and arguing but we definitely will not be returning here…ever.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could as far as grooming goes. I paid $138 for the full work up. This included a dental cleaning, earring cleaning, sanitary trim, nail cut, paw pads trimmed. While in the salon to pick her up, it was incredibly loud. There were dogs barking in the back, and it was very overwhelming. With that being said, I chose not to look her over when I got her back, which now I regret. The lady who groomed her was also late, so they had her longer than we were expecting. When we got home, I noticed her small mat by her ear was still there. I know she can be iffy when it comes to her ears, so I let that slide. THEN I realized that there was no way her teeth were brushed, her nails are the exact same as when I dropped her off, she definitely did not have her ears cleaned, and is still shedding like crazy. I’m not sure what shampoo is used, but she doesn’t smell good like she does after being groomed by other places. I understand dogs can be difficult to work with, but I don’t think it’s fair that I paid for these non existent services I was told I was receiving. I called the store back, and the store manager has already left for the day. I left my name and number, and am expecting a call back in the morning. This is absolutely insane. We were so excited for her to have her “spa” day, just to get horrible results. We will NOT be returning, and I’m hoping to receive at least our money from the upgrade back. If not, I will be reaching out to corporate because this is not okay. I read the reviews on the app before hand, and those were very promising. I wish I read the Google reviews before, because we would’ve not ever dropped her off there. I’m sure the app only highlights positive reviews, and I should’ve known better. I’m absolutely shocked. It seems to me that this place lacks proper training in the groomer salon, or just do not care about their quality of work.

I was ready to check out and lane 2 and 3 were open. Someone was already at lane 2 so I went over to lane 3 and the employee there said “i’m not open, sorry” in such a rude tone and just brushed me off. I didn’t catch her name but he had very color hair and a septum piercing. I even said hi in a very nice tone when I was approaching her. The light was still on for lane 3 so I thought it was open. If it’s not then turn off the light it’s not that hard to flip a switch.

Went in to buy an aquarium for my son’s first birthday. I picked out the tank, some decor, and gravel. Had a question about what to use to test and treat the water, so I found an associate to ask about it. She informed me it wasn’t her area and I needed to find the person there. I said there wasn’t anyone there, so she paged for someone and told me to wait at the podium. I waited for 10 minutes while watching the two other employees chatting up front before deciding to take my business elsewhere. I refuse to spend 300$+ at businesses that won’t help customers.

Brought our dog here to be groomed a few times and always satisfied. This time we were told it would be an hour for a bath a nail grind. 2 hours later, bath was half assed and nails weren’t done. They said he was “too difficult.” There has never been a problem with someone doing his nails so I ask, what were they doing for 2 hours. Their response was that he was in holding…holding?! How DARE they charge us not only for a squirt with a hose that they call a “bath” and not even attempt to do his nails. I will NEVER bring my pet here again and I will never let any other pet owner bring their animal here. Disgraceful!

A Cat walked into my garage, from my conversation with friends and family I have been adopted. Which means I needed to get set up to share my home with a cat. Never had a cat, but it’s not bad.
The folks at Pets Mart on 31 So.,Indianapolis, ln were both amused and helpful with the feed and other required items needed to sustain the small critters life.
I don’t know what the outcome for me or the cat will be. But thanks to PetsMart I at least stand a chance.

My husband had thoroughly brushed her a few days prior and it was fine. Do not use PetSmart. All of their locations have failed me except for the north side location. I recommend Petco

I am so pleased, thrilled and in love with this location and their staff! I reserved the community room for my dog’s birthday party. When I went back to take pictures of the setup, they explained what everything would look like. The room was cleared and clean and they made goodie bags for all the guests(including a cat lol)…and a special one for the birthday boy!!! The staff checked in to see if there was anything we needed often! This lace truly is a caring, neighborhood pet store and now that I know the “plus” has to mean the over the top service that you’ll get, plus smiles and plus the eagerness they have to serve! I was pleasantly surprised to find that they carry chicken feed, especially after calling around to several local stores with no luck. Nowhere else within a 30-minute drive had any in stock—or they simply don’t carry it—so I truly appreciated that this store did. It saved me a great deal of time and hassle.

I also hope to see their livestock selection continue to grow in the future, as it would save me from having to travel out of my way.

The associates were very kind and helpful. One employee even went above and beyond by carrying a 40-pound bag of chicken feed to my car and placing it in my trunk. That small act of kindness meant a lot to me—especially since I recently had neck surgery, something he wasn’t even aware of. His thoughtfulness was deeply appreciated.

I always come here for my pet’s food…from my guinea, to my chinchilla, and my staffy that loves those decorated treats in the case. The cbd tincture works for my dog as well. But today they were celebrating their 36th Anniversary and I was able to get my dog micro-chipped for $10! As well as many discounts on the items in the store. First of all the staff were VERY friendly, very welcoming, and very happy to help if I had any questions. Secondly the store was very clean and well organized, and thirdly the prices are absolutely un beatable I spent roughly between 35-50 dollars less then what I would have at a big chain retailer I had never been here before and I was in town visiting some family with my pup and fiancée. I like to shop from smaller businesses for a multitude of reasons and often that means spending a little more sometimes which I don’t mind at all in doing so! However to see them have such killer deals and so many options to choose from for my pup was incredible! I believe my girl would also like to give these wonderful humans two paws up! She is currently demolishing her first prize of the enrichment item haul 10/10 would definitely recommend and will definitely be back in the future!

Just went here for the first time, and we all loved it. Our pup just lost her brother of 7 years this week, and she’s been struggling to adjust. We thought we’d try a new place to help her have her own memories. Access from the Pike was easy. It’s handicap accessible. They have tons of great treats, foods, toys, etc. for dogs, cats, birds, etc. The staff was wonderful, helpful, and knowledgeable. We recommend them for your pet supply needs for sure. Our pup left with a nice new jacket, sweater, some treats, and a new bone. She loves the sweater so much, we took the tag of to pay because she didn’t want to take it off.

I ordered roughly $1600 in RAW PMR for my dog with severe food allergies. I received 3 of the 4 boxes on a Friday all in perfect condition all completely intact meat FROZEN, the 4th box was separated in transport by the transporter company. It arrived SEVERELY damaged and all meat bad. I contacted the company and that was on Saturday which was out of business hours. They immediately called me Monday morning when they opened up. They verified the box was damaged and the product was BAD. They reissued the fourth boxes contents to me and it arrived completely frozen NO issues!!! This company is wonderful, their food is wonderful! My dog had had absolutely no reactions to it and it’s one of the only complete diet PMR on the market that’s actually worth purchasing. I’m not a forever customer! My dog and I both thank you, I have spent thousands of dollars in vet bills and allergen testing and we know the triggers and you guys have saved my dog from anymore treatment with the vet! I started the raw meat diet for my two dachshunds about 4 months ago. I’m very pleased with the customer service and delivery process. I couldn’t get one of my dogs to eat the processed dry dog food, but now she begs for more. Also noticed that their coats seem to be shinnier and softer. One of them had terrible breathe and now he just has dog breathe. I didn’t realize how much sugar was in dry dog food and it was literally rooting my dog’s teeth. For reference if you want to order for small dogs. My two 10-15 lb dogs eat about 20 lbs per month. Love this company and the food for my dogs. They are very happy dogs.

Update: Started an autoship. Had my 1st delivery on 9/5 and set it for a 4 month delivery schedule. 4 days later they are trying to send another full shipment. Called to cancel but no one answers the phones. Sent an email and still waiting for a response. I would not suggest starting a subscription because they don’t go by what you ask for at all. How do you confuse 4 months with 4 days???

This is 1 of 3 fish that all got epistylis 1 day after the ” 7 day warranty” the only fish in the tank. We went back to ask for advice and no one knew anything. It turned into my husband and I educating the employee on the actually disease and was finally told ” I don’t know man, just turn the temp up.” Thanks for the great advice. He died this morning after relentless treatment and care. I should have known better considering the condition of all the reptiles that never change, living in horrible conditions. Same for the fishers location. Puppy that never leave a square box.. animals with no water. Do better. Hire people with knowledge of the animals they are caring for.

Me and my boyfriend went to this uncle bills to adopt a dog we were super excited, we saw 2 dogs that we had our eyes on, we saw an employee and were going to ask to take one out she was in a red shirt a dark skin lady with a red hair covering on and glasses around 50s-60s. As we walked up to her she immediately walked away and did not acknowledge us she immediately started chatting with her co worker, we stood for a couple minutes waiting on her till she turned around and walked right past us giving us a dirty look. We followed her and asked to take a dog out she immediately said in a mean tone “you got to be 18” I said yes we both are above , she dosent say anything and then handed us a form to sign, I signed and we got the first dog out, the first dog was biting super hard and was non stop and they saw we were getting nervous because the dog was growling and biting we called her over and asked to pick out a different dog she was very very rude wanted nothing to do with us I asked again to take out another dog, she goes to grab the dog and we hear it squeal super loud and noticed she was grabbing onto its back skin and pulling it, the dog seemed very hurt and scared, we played with the dog and loved him but we decided to go elsewhere because the customer service was so bad, we ask to put him up and she goes to try to grab the dog, the dog was immediately scared backing up, ears back tail tucked, which seemed abnormal because the dog had no issue with us picking him up and was super playful and sweet she was very very aggressive handling the dogs to the point they were scared of her terrible terrible experience she should be fired.

Low inventory , had to find help never greeted, fish store worker was helpful but not very knowledgable. I guess it is what it is , I wouldn’t recommend buying a pet from there less it’s a fish. Too many dogs n cats need homes to pay top prices for those poor animals. Eastside is needing help bad. I’m thankful we have a pet store to buy over priced fish.

Amazing deals and prices, but the welfare of their fish is a low priority for this location. Several betas were floating dead, and this one particularly had been neglected so long it was decaying in its cup. Ive been a customer for a long time, but i dont think I’ll come back for a long time. The staff use to care a lot more. Its heartbreaking to see the standards are falling.

I visited this location on 5/15. The two sales representatives that helped me were very kind and knowledgeable. I had just found an abandoned kitten and needed guidance about fostering her in terms of pet supplies. First we approximated the age of the kitten (who I brought in a carrier) by looking at her size and teeth. They helped me find the right kitten formula, a small litter box, and gave me samples of cat food. I don’t remember the employee’s names, but they were great! This was my first time at your store, and their customer service is what will bring me back! I need to come get some toys now!

This store always has the specific food my dog eats. It’s refrigerated and not once have I gone in for his food only to find the fridge is down and no food available for my dog. They also carry a large variety of dog food along with many of the premium brands that are sometimes more difficult to find. I did make an account on their app and receive weekly coupons for the items I buy. It’s easy to earn points that help defray the cost of things I need for my dog.

We went to Hollywood feed to get our three year old pups nails clipped. And to buy him a new collar. The people who work there seem to move dogs which goes a long way with me. The collar was reasonably priced but while waiting for the groomer my husband noticed an $80 bad of dogfood. That’s a bit much for us.

My FAVORITE pet supply store! I always check for new stock among the whimsically patterned collars and leashes (made from the leftover fabric they use for the lux dog beds). I have 3 collars and 2 leashes. The fabric is as durable as it is adorable! The staff is always friendly and helpful. I pick up my dogs favorite bones and there is always at least one new toy we have to have! There is a fantastic food selection for my picky girl to try. I always look forward to stopping in to shop for my fur baby. ❤️

Awesome experience. Bobby was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable with any questions I had. He even offered to order anything I may want that they didn’t carry. The fish selection was amazing. They had more birds than your local Petco/PetSmart as well as small animals and reptiles. They had puppies as well and a shop cat that was very social. Overall a wonderful experience.

Warehouse sized store, filled mostly with pet supplies, but also some animals for sale, too: puppies; parrots and parakeets; rabbits; snakes, lizards, turtles, and other reptiles; and fish.

The only “cheap” dog food seemed to be Pedigree in a 44 lb bag. Everything else seemed to be more premium brands, several times that price per unit of weight.
