If you want rat piss and shit all over your things, go ahead and rent a unit from these people. I come back to my storage unit with months worth of infestation and the office dont even care. They tell u to file a claim but we all know how that works out, i did that and heard from no one. They increased the prices twice in one year and for what? For me to come and see this? This is my last month here, definitely going to stop renting from here again

This Amazon, DC the people here have no respect for Drivers. They don’t tell you when your load is finished. They don’t come and tell you that it’s time to go. They don’t tell you anything I went inside. Couldn’t even find anybody. I don’t think anybody here has no idea what they’re doing. It’s just amazing this place says incompetence it’s unbelievable

The guard was so friendly, however, I am still not sure what time they will open and what time they close. I went through all offices, no one there and I did not see any sign that says hours of operations. Google’s hours for customers not for pickup or delivery. Will wait here and see how things go as the sun shines.

First time here, and I had a good experience. When you go through the guard gate park on the right side of the street, across from the doors. Park after door 35. If you’re delivering for SAMs / Walmart, check in between doors 31 and 30. There’s yellow railing in front of the door. If your load is Americold, then drive down to blinking stop sign. There is door with covering. That’s where you would check in. Check in 1 hour early, got a door right away. There is plenty of room to back up and maneuver. Took about 45 min. to unload. When you’re done, the receiving office will text or call you. Don’t pay attention to the light on the door. After you back in put broken seal in the back of your trailer. They started unloading me right away. Friendly staff professional atmosphere. Thanks for making it a great experience!

For live unloading with Americold’s building 4 receiving office, you’ll be a work in if you arrive at the receiving office even slightly past your appointment time. Even if you checked in at the guard shed before your appointment time. It’s annoying, but I know some businesses operate that way. I know, I should have been here earlier.

Friendly staff. My company doesn’t do drop and hooks here anymore, ever since a trailer got stolen from here. Overall it would have been a good experience if I had been earlier than just a few minutes before my appointment time.

We ordered two Adirondack chairs from BCP this spring. Great price and nice product. Unfortunately, there was a material defect that they had no way of knowing about and we didn’t see right away. Months later we contacted them about the issue. They went above and beyond to replace the item with amazing communication and care. You don’t see this very often and we are beyond thrilled with the way they took care of us! I would not hesitate to purchase from BCP again! Thank you for the incredible service!!

BEWARE BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I bought a 4 wheeler atv for my son for his 5th bday. It was $250. The first one worked great for 2 days then all the sudden it just stopped. I was mad so I contacted the company and they kindly sent me another one. Well I got it and this other one was used and obviously was returned by another unhappy customer. The threads were stripped and I couldn’t even get the tires on. Thr axel was bent and wouldn’t even go on. The actual boat had scratches on it. They packed it back up and made it look new and sent it to me knowing I already had a bad experience once before. This was my sons best gift and it has crushed him not once buy twice. They are totally unreliable and unprofessional. I would not recommend anyone buy from them. Do it at your own peril

Okay. The few times I have been here as a driver, the people have been nice and helpful and appreciate that.

However, I do see some flaws in your procedures or rather a lack of.

1. You do not post your Receiving or shipping hours.

2. There is no doorbell on the door so when it is locked there’s no way to alert someone inside that you are outside.

3. There is no phone number for your receiving and shipping offices to ask for instructions.

Just some thoughts.

Would give zero stars if I could. This warehouse abuses their workers and practices discrimination! Older workers(over 50) are put in dangerous conditions like unloading trailers in 90+ degree heat and expected to perform production rates obtained by 20 year olds. They deliberately drive older people harder to get them injured or quit from extreme exhaustion! They only teach safety for their legal protection! To them you are just a number!

Plan to wait more than 10+ hours just to unload your truck load. I wish I knew that before I confirmed the load! I checked in 3:30pm. I am still here waiting until 1:30am next day. Which is exactly 11 hours with in the parking lot, more than one full time shift driving time. Besides, they don’t respect FIFO First In First Out/first come first serve basis. They prioritize big companies first. Since I checked in at 3:30pm, several known companys’ truck drivers that came in after me left already soon. It is really biased procedure.

Man I have nothing good to say about this place at all. They seemed very nice at the beginning, but slowly after I got used to everything they kept coming to me and warning me with one messed up thing and I had to use a sick day once and they told me I got in trouble for that what a joke! Also if I brought up anything that was messed up they also blamed me for it which was also a what a joke thing too. The people at the label table seem nice except for one person but han the new manager absloutely needs to learn how to manage and treat his workers with more respect. Not close to being all but avoid this place if you don’t want to be treated like you’re the dirt on their shoes!

If you know what to expect going here, it really isn’t to bad. When you arrive you need a special checkin number that your company should provide with your shipment info. Slide your tandems before getting to the guard shack. There is space. Once there they will first check your DL then you will check in. Drop your trailer where they tell you then bobtail to the special parking area by the shack. Then walk inside and give them the paperwork. Then wait. The yard dogs move the trailers to and from the doors. Not bad but they did mess up my doors a few times. The wait time to get unloaded varies but expect a minimum of 2-3 hours. They will call when the paperwork is ready. Just walk back inside to get it, then connect to your trailer and you can leave. No parking allowed. You can only be early by about an hour. And if you have an AM appointment, regardless of how early you are, they do not open until 6am.

Good morning, getting here with my navigation was a bit confusing as it took me through town, narrow streets but once I arrived @ 2115 hours, 7/10/25. I parked, checked in by Dock Door 11, filled out a paper, handed to the Gal working, she checked me in, informed me I could park over night since my appointment is at 1245 7/11/25, someone will call me and at that point assign me a door. Honestly have to say quiet nice considering two drivers in front were quiet rude. One was early, they assigned a door, and explained it was a courtesy, he was rude and upset that why haven’t they loaded him, she explained your appointment isn’t until 2145, he continued to cusre her out in Russian and she kept her cool, the next driver had a 12 pm appointment and was checking in @ 2115, so he was 9 hours late, and FYI they were gonna charge him a LATE FEE, and we was upset, she even showed on paperwork his paperwork that it says 12 pm 7/10/25. So drivers, make sure you check your times. At first she was a little feisty, but quickly settled down when I approached her with respect . Im now here with my son waiting for appointment time. Gonna go see if they will work me in early, as its 9am. Be safe out there!

Rowdy YEETS

Today (Aug. 10th, 2025) was on I-65 SB on the way here and DAMN if it was not blocked off RiGHT * AT * MY * EXiT!!!! (Raymond Street, Exit# 109.) So, of course, don’t want to get under a low overpass, or restricted bridge or street. Pulled over to analyze the Motor Carrier’s Atlas and Google Maps together. Also found a safe route by myself when I left Tyson and went to get my empty trailer washed out. Easiest way is to take Sam Jones Expressway. This turns into Raymond Street. Take a left on Keystone, then go to the second drive with the big Tyson sign. Don’t go into the first drive which is 1401. Another easy way to get there is to take Harding Street. There are a couple truck washes there and a few truck stops, including a McDonald’s that has parking for about 7 trucks. So when you get there, the entrance is a little strange because you have to go up this small but steep hill. Leave enough room when you pull up there to set your tandems all the way back. Put on your reflective and glowy safety vest and give your papers to the guard if you are delivering. They will tell you which row to drop your loaded on. The empty lot is really tight. After you drop your loaded, bobtail to the front of the building. Park over to the edge because the trailer jockey might have to put a trailer in the dock there. The driver door to shipping and receiving is all the way to the right of the building if you are facing it and up the yellow stairs. I have included pics of that and some papers with staff work and break times as well as a map. Have a safe trip!

It’s a little tight where empties are dropped in ‘3 & 4’ lots. Or not . O/N parking here. Be sure to wear very visible safety vests the entire time you’re on this yard. Or safety color tees. Nice yard. Lots of signage everywhere! Just know that, as usual, this Tyson is in Indianapolis, which obviously means: lots & lots of steady zany traffic. ⚠️ and construction enroute into and leaving this facility⚡️

I waited over 36 hours to get loaded here. This place is a joke, and when I got my TRL back, the yard dog had purposely jacked the landing gear all the way up there’s no reason for this

Any hope I had of being a truck driver that doesn’t have hard distain for everyone he visits is lost with this place. Rude security who act like you are a dumb piece of Turd for pulling up to the guard shack to check in, then the receiving window acting like your stupid for not opening their sliding window for them, then you turn in your paperwork and wait, for hours, before the unloading even starts, then hours longer to not get a text message for your lumper fee, if you don’t have a lumper fee due to prepayment they won’t tell you, you’ll just sit there and wait. I’ve got other loads to pick up and deliver, having to sit somewhere for 8 hours really puts a driver out. You want to know why everything grinds to a halt and no one can make any money out here, it’s places like this, telling you to get bent by existing. It makes sense why my company sent me here. I accept all loads and tend to have a pretty good attitude, this place just really blows the cake over into the dirt. Good luck making money if you have one or two of these places in your route for the week. Just take a 10 and hope for the best.

It’s a place where the dreams come to end. Checked in at 4 p.m. My app was 8:30 p.m. The security guy told me to wait to be called. I waited till 9:30 p.m and then got a dock after 10. Got unloaded at 12 a.m. Highly recommended to check in on time. Otherwise, your whole day’s gonna be ruined.

These people are super stupid here who ever set this system to park the trucks on the side of road and then walk to security with paper work. Question are you or your facility responsible if a driver gets hit on road by another vehicle and are you or your facility responsible for if a driver gets a traffic ticket for blocking that traffic lane. And than they want too make a vest compulsory inside the building. I’m mean ask yourself if it does make a sense or not.

From a carrier perspective, Kroger Distribution Center delivers a brisk, predictable flow once you navigate the gate process. Clear instructions at check-in, efficient dock assignments, and a courteous receiving team help minimize delays. Safety protocols are visible and fairly enforced, boosting confidence during early morning appointments.

However, reliability hinges on consistently staffed bays and clear communication. Parking proximity can be tight, but proper planning and lumper coordination keep the process smoother and safer for drivers.

Looong wait. Suuuper slow. Lumpers…but most importantly this facility is a safety concern for truck drivers!
If you are delivering a load to this Kroger location after pulling up to the guard shack, you will be required to park on the side open road, at least 10-15 semi trucks away,
(See photos) and then, you are expected to walk on the open road (no sidewalk) in the direction of traffic, meaning not seeing traffic that is coming up behind you, walking along side all the trucks and trailers until you reach the same guard shack you were just at, to check in. bravo! Genius!
Note! If you are a ♿️ handicapped or pregnant semi truck driver you can go straight to the guard shack, no need to park on the open road.
Otherwise, you must park, and walk in traffic to the guard shack.
Good luck with that exercise.

When you check in with the guard, you will walk back to your truck on the same road, facing traffic, and then you will pull up to the guard shack, with the truck, just as you did before they sent you to park on the street. Meaning, a waste of time and a huge safety issue, absurd check in operation. What gives Kroger?!? Not taking driver safety seriously? Playing Russian Roulette with our lives. Seeking courtroom drama?

After you drive in, you will go the receiving office to get the dock. If you do a survey, you will get a bag of treats. They really want our feedback.
When you park on your dock, don’t get your hopes up, there are lumper employees, so we are talking slow, slow moving, 2-3 hours, strict rules, all the safety fuss, lumper fees, counting product, waiting, waiting, waiting, this and that all in the name of “safety” which is clearly ignored at the gate. Absurd. A joke. A very unsafe joke. But do make sure you wear your safety vest! it’s required.
Overall, you can gamble, waste time, but I recommend avoid this facility. The management clearly sucks. They say they want to hear from us, (see the poster photo)let’s see if they hear this.

Check in process isn’t clear. Drive up to gate, try to check in, get told to turn around out of the facility, park on the road across the street, then walk back to gate, check in, walk back to my truck drive around half the town to safely turn around, come back to gate, hand them my paperwork, then check in at receiving desk to get a door. Never in my life… Still waiting to be unloaded which isn’t on Kroger, lumper review to follow. Lumper payment was prepaid by the shipper, we’ll see how that works out.

Also take major note. When parking on the street you will seriously damage your truck or get stuck if it is muddy. My deer guard was literally dragging the ground in a pot hole filled with water just to get off the side of the road. I looked back and my trailer was about to flip over, this place definitely isn’t worth it, save your license and go else where. Only plus was there was plenty of room in the back at the docks to get in, no lights but not the end of the world, I just throw a glove in the ground and line up with that. Lumper review to follow.
(docks look bright in pics due to camera lighting correction).

Guards were nice, professional, did a good job and gave me good directions. Receiving guys were awesome. They gave me a door even though I was a day early. (Of course, I had 1 more stop. Sometimes that matters). Anyway, they unloaded me quick enough..couple hours. They bring your paperwork out to your truck. Then out the gate i went to my last stop. Easy Peasy. They also let you park on the side of the street if you need to. This was agood day.

was at the unloading 11/06. asked your employees if I could use the restroom. One of your guards offered me to go to my pants.
When I asked him his name. he said he had no name.
Is this attitude towards drivers acceptable in your company? I took a picture of your employee who said that.

Had some equipment trouble along the way. Broker called / emailed to reschedule the load. I arrived a day after the original appointment, and a day before the rescheduled appointment. At 4PM, they checked me in, and worked me in. About 6 hours total time & I was outta there. This is trucking! Time is never on our side. People are rarely on our side. Have some patience. Stay professional. Godspeed.

    Consultations and Legal Advice

In Indianapolis, civil attorneys provide initial consultations to gather essential facts, assess potential claims, and outline legal options. These sessions help clients understand the likely timelines, costs, and expected outcomes, and they establish a clear case strategy from the outset. A thorough fact collection process identifies key documents, witnesses, and jurisdictional considerations, ensuring that clients enter negotiations or litigation with confidence. Confidentiality and professional ethics guide every step, so clients can disclose sensitive information without hesitation. The goal is to deliver transparent guidance and realistic expectations tailored to Indiana law and local court practices.

    Contract Drafting and Review

For complex transactions and disputes, the role of a civil attorney includes contract drafting and meticulous contract review. In Indianapolis, attorneys scrutinize terms, conditions, liability provisions, and remedies to ensure clarity and enforceability. They look for risk allocation, gaps in coverage, and compliance with Indiana contract law and applicable commercial codes. Clients gain protection against ambiguous language, hidden penalties, and ambiguous termination rights, with emphasis on obtaining fair and balanced agreements that withstand scrutiny in disputes or litigation.

    Dispute Resolution and Mediation

Many civil matters benefit from dispute resolution outside the courtroom. In Indianapolis, civil attorneys facilitate mediation and, when appropriate, arbitration to achieve cost-efficient settlements. These processes preserve relationships when possible, while ensuring that interests are represented by a skilled advocate. Attorneys prepare clients for negotiations, draft settlement agreements, and verify that resolutions align with statutory rights and contractual obligations. The aim is to secure durable outcomes without the adversarial toll of a trial.

    Personal Injury Claims

Civil attorneys in Indiana frequently handle personal injury claims arising from accidents, negligence, or wrongful acts. They assist clients with documenting injuries, coordinating medical evidence, and interfacing with insurers to pursue fair compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering. They also explain the statute of limitations in the state, assess whether there are avenues for punitive or exemplary damages, and discuss contingency fee arrangements that align interests and reduce upfront costs for clients.

    Property and Real Estate Disputes

Property-related matters in Indianapolis often involve title issues, boundary disputes, easements, and zoning considerations. Civil attorneys research and resolve ownership claims, assist with lease negotiations, and address landlord-tenant disputes. They work on real estate litigation and advise on remedies such as rescission, specific performance, or monetary damages. When transactions are at stake, they support due diligence, clear title transfer, and compliant documentation to prevent future litigation.

    Employment Law

The field of employment law covers interactions between employers and employees, with attention to wage and hour compliance, discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination. Civil attorneys in Indianapolis advise on employee rights, assist with internal investigations, and represent clients in administrative proceedings or court. They help design compliance programs, review workplace policies, and negotiate settlements or severance agreements that reflect lawful responsibilities and protections for all parties.

    Civil Litigation and Trial Representation

When disputes proceed to court, civil attorneys provide civil litigation and trial representation. They manage every phase from pre-trial motions and discovery to expert witness integration and jury trials. Local rules in Indianapolis and statewide procedures shape strategy, but essential elements remain: evidence preservation, case theory development, and effective trial advocacy. Attorneys work to obtain favorable verdicts or enforceable settlements, while controlling costs and timelines through strategic planning.

    Consumer Protection and Fraud Claims

Consumer protection is a vital area where civil attorneys pursue redress for unfair business practices and fraud claims. In Indiana, statutes empower clients to seek damages and injunctive relief against deceptive conduct, misrepresentation, or other unfair practices. Attorneys assess evidence, navigate administrative pathways, and coordinate with consumer protection agencies when appropriate. They aim to secure restitution, deter wrongdoing, and restore market confidence for individuals and small businesses alike.

Frequently asked questions about warehouses in Indianapolis

What are common types of warehouses found in Indianapolis?

Dry storage warehouses, cold storage facilities, distribution centers, and bonded warehouses are commonly found in the Indianapolis area. Each type is designed for different inventory needs, such as temperature control for perishables or high throughput for e‑commerce fulfillment. Matching your product requirements with the appropriate facility type is essential.

How do I decide between leasing and owning a warehouse in Indianapolis?

Leasing provides flexibility and lower upfront costs, while owning offers long‑term asset growth and potential tax benefits. Consider your cash flow, growth projections, and maintenance responsibilities. A thorough comparison should include the total cost of ownership and potential location advantages.

What should I look for in a warehouse location in Indianapolis?

Key factors include access to interstate routes like I‑65 and I‑70, proximity to ports/airports, access to a stable labor pool, and suitable zoning for your operations. Consider security, adequate parking, and the potential for future expansion.

What are typical warehouse operating costs in Indianapolis?

Costs include rent or mortgage, utilities, insurance, maintenance, and labor. Some facilities impose common area maintenance (CAM) fees. Understanding cost drivers helps in budgeting and pricing for logistics operations.

How does temperature control affect warehouse operations?

Temperature control influences energy usage, the operation of refrigeration systems, and the ability to store perishable goods. Storage categories such as frozen, chilled, and ambient require different equipment and maintenance. Proper controls reduce product loss and ensure compliance.

What safety and security measures are important in Indianapolis warehouses?

Important measures include fire suppression, surveillance systems, controlled access, regular safety training, and compliance with OSHA guidelines. A solid risk management plan helps minimize injuries and theft.

What permits and regulatory considerations apply to warehouses in Indianapolis?

Consider local zoning approvals, building permits, and state requirements for handling particular materials. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, fire codes, and labor laws. Regular audits can help maintain compliance.

How can a warehouse management system improve Indianapolis operations?

A warehouse management system (WMS) improves inventory control, order fulfillment, and labor productivity. Look for features such as real‑time tracking, barcode/RFID scanning, and integration with your ERP or TMS. A good WMS can boost overall operational efficiency.

What staffing considerations are there for warehouses in Indianapolis?

Reliable skilled labor for forklift operation, picking, and shipping/receiving is essential. Consider seasonal demand, local wage trends, and access to training programs. Partnering with staffing agencies or developing an in‑house training plan can help maintain throughput.

What insurance coverage is typically required for warehouses?

Common policies include property insurance, liability for premises, and business interruption coverage. If handling hazardous materials or operating a cold storage facility, you may need additional coverage like product liability or equipment breakdown. Consulting a knowledgeable risk advisor helps tailor a plan to your needs.
