Mass Ave Mudroom

We took a one-night pottery class as a family and had an absolutely amazing time. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, relaxed, and genuinely fun. Sarah, our instructor, struck the perfect balance between being helpful and letting us experiment, so even the beginners in our group felt confident getting their hands on the wheel. It was such a great shared experience — lots of laughs, and surprisingly decent bowls to show for it! The studio was clean, well organized, and had everything we needed. You could tell they really care about creating a positive experience for everyone. If you’re looking for a unique family activity, date night idea, or just something different to do for an evening, this class is 100% worth it. We’ll definitely be back!

I’m a member at Mass Ave Mudroom and love it! It’s a fun, inclusive environment for experienced and amateur potters alike. Sarah is a great owner, always making improvements to the space and considering member and student needs. And being located in the Factory Arts District is a huge plus. I love that this area is emerging as a revitalized space for the Indianapolis community. There is always something going on—First Fridays or pop-up events. It’s a lively and welcoming space for creatives and community members, and I’m thankful to be a small part of it, thanks to Mass Ave Mudroom! ❤️

Mass Ave Mudroom is my favorite place to be. Becoming a member here has been one of my best decisions. Sarah is one of the most thoughtful and enjoyable people that I have met, and that is all carried over into the space. Sarah adapted a wheel for me when I could not sit to throw due to a hip injury. She does a great job at keeping everyone updated in the studio and regularly does events with the members, making being a part of this community even more enjoyable. Mass Ave Mudroom has many other options outside of being a member, and I am excited to see the space and Sarah continue to grow and thrive in the future.

Being a member at Mass Ave Mudroom has been such a wonderful experience. There is a great sense of community that will continue to grow as the studio continues to grow. That is fostered and led by Sarah, the studio owner, who cares deeply about creating a thriving space for artists of all levels whether it’s a one-night class or a member. It’s a great place to grow in your pottery practice and connect with great folks!

Vibey space, great instruction! Just wrapped up an 8-week Beginner Wheel Throwing class and it's a whole lot of fun - take the class! You'll be glad you did! They also have a bunch of membership spaces where everyone hangs out and works on pottery together - Sarah has added a really neat community building space for Indianapolis. Go enjoy it!
